They will not pay

Karl Denninger exhorts today's youth and tomorrow's debt-holders:
You have committed no crime.  You thus cannot be compelled to either slavery or involuntary servitude.  And until your 18th birthday, you cannot lawfully consent to servitude.  It is only upon your 18th birthday that you can consent.

So I say to you today, that it is your right to stand as American Citizens, irrespective of your age who have not yet consented, and say in a loud, clear voice:

I WILL NOT PAY

You should and indeed must say it to your parents.  You should and indeed must say it in your schools.  You should and indeed must pass this letter around to your friends and others in your class and those who you associate and hang out with.  And you must say this every day, in a louder and more-cohesive voice -- today, tomorrow, the next day and every day thereafter, until we the "old geezers", realize that you're serious.

We, the "old geezers", never had the right to try to force you to pay $180,000 of your money that you would earn tomorrow, an amount that has almost tripled in the last ten years and will triple again if you don't put your foot down and demand it stop.

There is only one way to make sure it stops, and that is to make very clear to everyone the following:

YOU WILL NOT PAY

You must say it, and you must mean it.  You must convince all those around you, especially the adults around you, that you mean it.

You must do it now, because if you don't, or worse you take any act that confirms that you're ok with that $180,000 in debt that was forced upon you then you will be forced to pay not only that but the hundreds of thousands more that will be added over the next decades.
Of course, it doesn't actually matter whether they warn their parents and grandparents or not.  They will not pay.  They will not pay because they will not be able to pay.

I'm not very well versed on the decline & fall of Rome, so can someone provide a CliffNotes version of what happened in the latter years of the Empire relating to the Treasury, please?

What I would find really interesting is if the Romans attempted to indenture their next generations to indefinite debt slavery.

Thank you,

Somehow, someway this is my fault. Baby Boomers ya know! I caused all this trouble and the trouble to come.

But then, no one listened to me.

This crash, it isn't because of human error, or mistakes by bankers, or greed by bankers or everyone.

This was carefully planned and executed over decades. It is rather brilliant in its efficiency and effect. Populations are enslaved and enforced by the very ones that are enslaved into it.

There is only one way to not become a slave now3. Get a gun. Or several guns. Refuse to give them up. Fight them of they come for it. You might die. but you won't be a slave. Then again, you might live to fight again!

Blogger Cogitans Iuvenis January 03, 2013 4:32 PM

@ Winston
Numerous times. Republican rome had a system known as patronage that had morphed into something very similar to what you see today with many of the masses simply holding their hands out and utter niceties to their benefactor in exchange for a few coins. Some of the less scrupulous, and more clever, patronees would visit multiple locations and collect multiple handouts. A system that once had been a very solemn obligation of two parties to each other was bastardized into a welfare system.

As for actual indeture. It was Emperor Domitian himself that implemented laws that required sons to learn and work the same trade as their father. The beginnings of serfdom in ancient Europe.

I always have to smile when ever someone like Sean Hannity; sweat breaking on his brow while wringing his hands, pleads for people to understand; "our children and grand children will be burdened with this mountain of national debt if we don't rein in spending, NOW!"

Rest assured Sean, that generation of sexting, reality TV watching, baggy pants wearing, tattoo covered snots aren't going to be bothered with anybody's debt, including their own.

Anonymous Roundtine January 03, 2013 5:13 PM

I imagine it will unfold something like this, except with mobility scooters instead of bikes.

Anecdote from blue country: senior Republican says to senior Democrat, "I'd be willing to pay more in taxes and take a cut in SS if I knew it was going to fix the debt problem." Senior Democrat response: "Why? You're entitled to it."

Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. The funding of Social Security over time was NEVER tenable. The ratio of the number of people paying per the number of people receiving was always going to get skewed. It was a Ponzi scheme from the beginning. Roosevelt's New Deal was likewise untenable. I am 53 years old. I never voted for those things, nor was I old enough to vote for representation which would oppose the funding liabilities represented by the Civil Rights Act, American Disabilities Act, etc. I don't believe I was old enough to oppose legislation or policy which enabled the Federal Government to use Social Security funds for other than that for which it was originally promised.
I am old enough to be considered a Boomer, I believe. I know my older brothers are, and they are united in their opposition to the Welfare State.
I'm fairly apoplectic that Denninger is giving this generation of voting-aged citizens ill-aimed ammunition to lay the blame on my generation who came of age well after the Welfare State, Government-Stimulus-as-GDP crap was already well established.
I'm objecting to the carte-blance assertion that only the 18 year olds now are reaping the rewards of voter stupidity and government malfeasance that goes back to to at least 1913.

The people who pay the last bill will be people with assets tied up in the electronic maze that is the modern financial system and possibly people holding fiat currencies. If neither of those apply to you, then you have nothing to worry about, other than looting pillage hordes and government "relief workers."

You Boomers didn't start the mess, no, you're correct about that. Your sin is, when you were old enough to call the shots, you didn't fix anything. You doubled - tripled (and now quadrupled) down on it. Every system, political or otherwise, goes astray. The critical thing is whether anyone course-corrects.

That's your generation's failure. All this mess was both obvious and fixiable in the 80's and 90's. It was even salvagable (though not without some ugliness) half-way into the aughts. Clinton's preseidency was the hinge of fate. During those eight years, when we had no significant military challenges and a renewed sense of optimism, we could have undone all the damage from FDR on. But we had our first Boomer President, our first Boomer Speaker (Gingrich), and saw the rise of Boomers (Carville, Rove, et al) to control of the parties.

But that golden moment was thrown away in a fit of small-minded idiocy and personal greed. And lust - no, not for fat interns in blue dresses and snappy berets. For power. For the power to tell other people how to live their lives.

Now? Now it can't be fixed. The best hope we have now is to salvage something from the wreckage.

Maybe so, maybe not. I've voted non-Bifactional Party since the end of Reagan's term. It's easy to see how all of this appears to have been a cunning plan to enserf the American people. NOW, that is.
Not so in those decades... or at least I wasn't aware of the seething mass of compatriots that are now evident in the blogosphere. Education and awareness necessarily takes some time to make its way to the masses.
I still maintain that even if we'd had today's awareness, the die was well-cast by the time of the post-war boom. Certainly the 80's or 90's was already too late.
Heck, some here would even say the die was cast in 1865. Actually, now that I think about it....

a cunning plan to enserf the American people

I don't believe in the cunning plan. I believe in the conspiracy of dunces, of small-minded power grubbers who screwed everything up by spending all their energy elbowing each other out of the buffet line and none of it on cooking the next meal.

All that's necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. And all that is neccessary for chaos and decline is for competent men to not renew the structures of society.

Of course we could have fixed it in the 80's and 90's. No, not without the parasite classes taking it in the shorts, but there's the source of our problems. Boomers revereed the parasite classes, looked up to them as Gods. So they weren't about the let their gods take it in the shorts.

Bah. Xer's right about the futility of 'splainin' all this. If your brain has the circutry to understand it, you probalby see it for yourself. If it doesn't, no amount of rhetoric or logic will illuminate it. Like trying to teach a dog to play the violin - no opposable thumbs, won't work.

Is is not the other way around? A murder is actually instantaneous, since your dead after it occurs. Whereas a rape lasts a lifetime, since as long as the rapist does not kill you, you are alive? I smell another Feminist cause. "Rape! Worse than murder! Soul-Murder!"

Anonymous elmer January 04, 2013 1:30 AM

@WW

On the Rome/America currency connection, see Doug Casey. One of the best explaining this. Even Ron Paul delves into this via his The End of Dollar Hegemony.

Now so far as the younger generations dealing with this "fiscal cliff?" If I were in my twenties (or even late teens), and got ahold of this info, does one think I have any inclination to -- pay up?

MATH LESSON

Question: How do you reduce $16 trillion U.S. budget deficit to zero within thirty (30) days?

Answer:

1. Have the crooked banks pay back their $10 TRILLION fraudulent loans to the American People within the thirty (30) day parameter.

2. Have U.S. President Barack Obama implement the final stage of the Wanta-Reagan-Mitterrand Protocols tomorrow, December 31, 2012, that, as previously reported, will give $1.5 TRILLION back to the U.S. Taxpayers and simultaneously place $4.5 TRILLION back into the global economy.

We have now accounted for the $16 trillion involving the alleged U.S. fiscal cliff.

Clearly, if you passed your math lesson you can see now there is no fiscal cliff.

Now, the following even blows my mind. Boner have a "come to Jesus moment?"

We can also divulge that current U.S. Speaker of the House John Boehner, Republican of Ohio, has joined the Wanta team

Taking into account Nancy (not Pelosi) together with Boner, for those that have read and comprehend Rulers of Evil...................... boy is this getting fun! (not to mention the Exo-Vaticana stuff)

And, to update the math lesson:

Thursday January 3, 2013

At this hour we can divulge that attorneys for Ambassador Leo Wanta are petitioning the U.S. Supreme court to set a time and date for final completion of the IMF, Austrian banks, and U.S. Treasury bilateral tax agreement (originally ordered in late October by the U.S. Supreme Court) that will complete the final implementation of the Wanta-Reagan-Mitterrand Protocols and transfer $1.5 trillion from the U.S. Treasury to the custodial AmeriTrust account of Ambassador Wanta, that will then allow him to pay the taxes on the AmeriTrust account to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.

Remember people. The Berlin Wall [and Iron Curtain] fell in '89. And, fell suddenly, catching most by surprise. Falling much sooner, than most experts predicted. To this day, most have no clue as to how and why that wall literally crumbled on national media. It can happen again...

Anonymous elmer January 04, 2013 1:50 AM

A necessary addendum to help clarify and focus things in question:

At around the 2:28min mark in the last show, an interesting statement was made by Marilyn: “Even the Rothschilds are sick of this” – about what the criminal cabal has been doing. (P2 Masonic lodge) Anyone got some thoughts on this?

The BIS and Credit Suisse. On the show with Marilyn, Credit Suisse was named but not the BIS. as the main source of monetary fraud. Are we to believe that the BIS and the Rothschild’s who were said to be “tired of all this” are to be exonerated and are no longer party to “the plan”? and that there is a distinction between this Rothschild Illuminati and the Cabal/P2 infiltration of the Masonic lodge? (from Paul)

The Rothschild comment(“they are tired of this”)came from a very sell-known source – not Lee Wanta (though he was on the phone with me and the other person when the other person made the comment). It sounds to me like the unlawful greed on Wall Street got beyond the control of the Rothschild cabal. JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs – they don’t seem to understand what happens to an entire empire of corruption when the goose that lays the golden eggs gets killed by greed.

With regard to my naming Credit Suisse and not BIS – my reference here involves what happened to Ambassador Wanta, not who is responsible for the world’s financial condition. When Lee Wanta was arrested in Lausanne, he was investigating Credit Suisse’s involvement in re-activating certain credit facilities that had been closed – like Letters of Credit. It was called “Operation Chaselet.”

No… you are not to believe that the BIS and Rothschilds are no longer party to “the plan.” I think I would more accurately say that both are trying very hard to regain control of a snowball running downhill and quickly getting bigger and bigger and more and more out of their control… and they aren’t exactly sure how to stop it. There is no distinction between the Rothschild Illuminati and the Cabal/P2 infiltration of Masonic Lodges… and the Vatican, for that matter. (Barnewall's response)

And just when I thought there was nothing more interesting to find. A new headline at VT. Boy is this getting interesting:

EVEN THE FOLKS DOING THE DIRTY WORK FOR THE THIRD FORCE ARE WAKING UP FROM THEIR SLUMBER

It seems apparent that a major portion of the underlings working in Homeland Security and the military and even a portion of our high military command now realize America has been hijacked and are sitting tight, often sandbagging or dragging, not willing to throw themselves on a sword by rebelling. However, many of these folks will jump in and join the cause when there is a mass public awakening of American Citizens, which is now occurring thanks to the Internet and the Alternative news provided by it, or if door to door gun seizures are initiated. The super-elites who run the SSG know that America is on the verge of a mass awakening and they are afraid. That is why they are moving fast and going for broke because they know their time may be short.

What these super-elite controllers don’t realize however, is that these so-called superior entities supposedly helping them are really setting them to be disposable like most cutouts and useful idiots always are. Perhaps that is why so many absurd Goebbels and Goering doofuses are selected to fill the top appointed power positions. History has shown that they are exceedingly easy to compromise and manipulate as thus will serve as willing cutouts and dupes to do the dirty work of those few at the very top of the Pyramid or Hierarchy in return for power, wealth notoriety and status. History has also shown that their end can be sudden, drastic and unexpected due to the extreme hubris political power can breed.

It is weird, dare I say spooky. (Hopefully in a good way) Something is coming together here. Is Boner [1] for real? Either he is a double-agent, attempting to infiltrate the "good guys" camp, or he is revealing himself to more genuine than most of us have given him credit for. Mrs. Reagan is no perfect human being. Non of us are. But, she is proving to be as extraordinary as her husband. Remember dear people, Bonhoeffer was an official double-agent for the Abwehr...

-------
[1] Perhaps I will come to no longer use that slang. Remember, it took 37 years for General Butler to come to his senses, that he was a paid thug for criminal elites. Perhaps we should give others the benefit of the doubt, that they too can change from their appointed ways. We are all, afterall, -- HUMAN.

That's not too crazy at all.

Joseph Stalin did the exact same thing. Surrounding himself with vicious scum, but still able to play them at the same time. Lavrentiy Beria, Nikolai Yezhov, ect. He head three heads of the NKVD (Soviet secret police, later turned into the KGB which was officially dissolved in 1991, but Vladimir Putin was originally in the KGB!). Stalin had each of them purge the country. Then afterwards, he purged the NKVD head. Very clever. Except for Beria, but he only lasted a bit until Nikita Krushchev purged him.

And Beria actually got lucky (or skilled?) surviving the Great Purge in the 1930s. Krushchev himself almost got purged! Fortunately he made it to the end and took power of the USSR.

I keep seeing the same pattern in Chinese Communist Party as well.

My advice: be at the top of pyramid, like how Krushchev made it.

No, it wasn't. Not without the complete dismantling of the systems.

What "system"? Be specific, or else you're just another one of those too lazy to do anything, excusing yourself from action by claiming any action would be ruinous.

Like the banksters saying we had to do TARP or "the (banking) system" would fall apart and we would suffer economic devastation. Gee, wouldn't want that, now would we? Of course if we'd done what we should have done, let normal bankruptcy processes work, liquidate the bad debts and repurpose the assets those debts controlled, the banksters would have taken a bath but the rest of us would be doing just fine right now.

So what "system" was so precious to us back then that we couldn't ruffle a few of its feathers? You sound like the towering intellects in Congress and the Media wailing about the fiscal cliff. Can't go over that! Oh noes...

We're Wylie E. Coyote, and we already went off the cliff three years ago. The only question is whether we'll look down first, or run into the wall on the other side of the canyon. Either way, we're headed for the canyon floor.

Meep meep.

Also on the fiscal cliff...if we recall that the mortgage fraud fall out should have happened 2005, the 2008 banker bailouts and mortgage fraud exposure was too late (b/c the evidence was there and was covered up) just as this debt theater/fiscal cliff nonsense is years too late.

Right.

But due to continuous non-white mass immigration supported by both parties, "the young" are increasingly non-whites who think: they will have to pay, and that's all right with us.

Write your representatives and ask them to give those one in four women a chance to stop rape

Poor Mr. Denninger,

One day, he will be standing on his soapbox, frothing at the mouth, indignantly trying to 'splain things to the unwashed masses.

The next, he will fall silent. A few people will ask "Where's Karl?"

Crickets...

Hopefully, these youngsters will have the wisdom to recognize Reality for what it is and refuse to continue enabling the tyrants and their parasitical constituency. Regardless, Reality means there are limits, and we're coming up against them faster and faster all the time.

David Smith

> What "system"?

I said systems, Jack, not system. As in Social Security, Medicare, etc. But Social Security and Medicare are the big two that will bankrupt us. And that was already obvious and unavoidable in the 70's, much less the 80's or 80's. The only solution was to dismantle the systems before they did so.

Blogger James Dixon January 04, 2013 8:53 AM

Actually, I should say have bankrupted us at his point, not will bankrupt us.

And no I don't think the Social Security and Medicare couldn't be dismantled. In fact, I think they should have been. And I voted accordingly. You can see how much good that did.

...Vladimir Putin was originally in the KGB!

I'm going to have to correct you here. Putin was never in the KGB. Putin was a Colonel in the GRU. Big difference there. The GRU was military intelligence. Comparable to our DIA vs the CIA. This is significant in terms of trusting Putin more than most surmise they should. Putin has been demonized unecessrily and unfairly. The GRU were/are composed of regular military. Not necessarly enthusiastic full card-caring party members (under the U.S.S.R.) Akin to the Abwehr, that were Wermacht in brutal competition with the SS and Gestapo. Again, no one is perfect on this planet.

The source for this information is Lee Wanta himself. Now, if one wishes to challenge Wanta. Go right ahead. In fact, you can pose your rebuttal via Mrs. Barnewall. She will be happy to relay your challenge. Understand this. Wanta was part of the Special Task Force constituted under then President-elect Reagan in late 1980. Designated Operation Stillpoint. The three primarys of this task force were William Colby (former DCI), William Casey (then current DCI), and Wanta, his role being the junkyard dog. Wanta reported directly to Reagan. So, go ahead and challenge this if you like...

*All of this is in Chapter Two of the biography I have alread linked in previous posts. You can read and verify for yourself in vivid detail...

Okay, I'll quote an excerpt here:

In 1983, President Reagan proposed the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) and in October of that same year U.S. troops invaded Grenada, overthrowing the regime in power.

In a March 23rd speech about SDI, Reagan pointed to all of the obvious reasons Star Wars (as it became known) was an important project: The U.S., he said, had “nearly abandoned efforts to develop and deploy defenses against nuclear weapons, relying almost exclusively on the threat of nuclear retaliation.” He was correct.

SDI, though, was important for more reasons than Reagan stated publicly. It was a costly technology and a race evolved – as Reagan knew it would – to see whether America or the Soviet Union would go bankrupt first by developing SDI. When we compare the cost of what Reagan wanted to do in 1983 to our $16 trillion debt of 2012, it was a pittance… but it gave Washington something to complain loudly about, and then do what they always do: Turn it over to a Committee for evaluation. Reagan won the argument. Thus, the importance of tilting the soundness of the Soviet economy – which wasn’t very sound to begin with – became paramount.

Both Cobly and Casey are deceased. Both under questionable circumstances. Wanta is the remaining primary of the task force alive to this day. Not that they haven't tried. They have yet to be sucessful. Let's pray they continue to fail...

I don't believe in the cunning plan. I believe in the conspiracy of dunces, of small-minded power grubbers who screwed everything up by spending all their energy elbowing each other out of the buffet line and none of it on cooking the next meal.

Stupid is an evil in its own right. Regardless, we now see the the culmination of a century of policies favoring short-term time preferences coming to its natural conclusion: each succeeding time frame for realizing a benefit gets shorter than the last and the the ever-diminishing returns approach zero.

Don't worry, the natonal debt will never be paid. The Fed doesn't care. The money it loaned us was electronic anyway.

China doesn't care. Because American unions lost their heads here, China got work for its ridiculously large population.

What counts is collecting INTEREST. Our lenders will see to it that we will be kept slaves for them as long as possible.

"Stupid is an evil in its own right."

A simple statement, yet so profound.

Those in the future will pay, just not in dollars. They will have a MUCH lower standard of living, as one example.

Repayment is not always the same currency.

Somewhat, but I should be more specific (since that was one sentence only). But he also was in the KGB-backed coup attempt in 1991. "Putin later explained his decision: "As soon as the coup began, I immediately decided which side I was on", though he also noted that the choice was hard because he had spent the best part of his life with "the organs"."

So he was ambivalent from the beginning. Of course I don't blame him for being in the organs. That was pretty much one of the only ways to advance in Soviet society.
