Glenn 1, GOP 0

Glenn Reynolds considers the "natural conservative" argument in light of Kaus's zero-sum Game of President:
“The race to control the Presidency is a zero-sum contest, like a football game. One party wins, and one loses. Both can’t win. Immigration amnesty (or gun control, or spending cuts) might help Democrats dominate national politics and lock up the presidency for generations to come (as some believe) or it might help Republicans by allowing them to increase their dismal share of the growing Latino vote. But both sides can’t be right. Even if they both think immigration amnesty will help them, one of them is wrong.”

If the GOP thinks this is going to get them Latino votes, then the GOP is wrong.
This really isn't that hard.  There are two mainstream parties in Mexico.  One is Partido Revolucionario Institucional.  The other is Partido de la Revolución Democrática.  Both are members of the Socialist International.  Which means that the growing Latino vote in the United States is going to vote socialist.

This is not rocket science.

The thing is though, why would they care? Surely there's more to be gained at the trough being the loyal opposition in a big government than leading a small one. The GOP leadership is playing a winning game here: staying in power on the state/local level by insisting thy're fighting, while doing nothing to hinder the events that would vastly increase that power.

It's the rest of us that get screwed.

Ah, yes, but socialism, being inherently parasitic, has fled (in significant, though not majority, by any means) the host of Mexico. If Mexico's birth rates and civil war continue on their trajectories, both the U.S. latino boom will reach stasis far earlier than projected, and Mexico will transform into monarchic empire, drying up Southern California but little else. Socialism will die in Mexico because the parasitism that flowed from South to North will have too much parasite, not enough host.

Then restructuring wars.

How hard is it to do math?

If 6 in 10 Mexicans vote for the other guy, how does importing more of them help your guy? It's just catastrophically stupid. Your margin of victory goes down with each 10 you legalize.

And that doesn't even account for the votes you lose from actual conservatives who stay home instead of vote.

He is French/black from NO, she is Mexican. Their daughter is one of our daughters' closest friends. Consider a thought experiment: let's say that blacks and Latinos had all the money in this country, and whites became the impoverished underclass. Do you think that blacks and Latinos, being "socialist", would suddenly vote for higher taxes on themselves, in order to help the whites?

Would they vote ideology? Or would they vote race? What do we actually observe?

Whites have nice stuff, and everybody else wants it. And since most other people are simply not capable of making for themselves the sort of nice stuff whites have, the only way to get the nice stuff is to figure out a way to steal it from whites. Which is exactly what they are doing.

Like you say, it isn't rocket science. Rocket science, after all, is white people stuff.

The regime is already socialist and has been for a very long time. Socialism in theory simply means cronyism in practice. This, by the way, is true for all forms of government. Discussions about socialism are purely academic. Every political structure degenerates into cronyism once the rule of law is subverted.

There may be room for compromise here, folks. Just have to keep an open mind and be open to new ideas. The GOP just needs to put something on the table....which it has not. So I will mention a few possibilities:

1. Hispanics (who are illegal aliens) will be put on a pathway to citizenship on a one-for-one basis with white South Afrikans (Boer or English). This will have the added benefit of stopping genocide.

Hmmmm. Not good enough? OK, how about this one...

2. Illegal aliens in the USA will be granted a green card and pathway to citizenship paired with Protestants from Northern Ireland. (IRA terrorists need not apply.) This will enable the Republic of Ireland to complete the unification of the entire island, end the lingering British rule in Northern Ireland, and put an end to the "troubles" there. As an added bonus, this will promote that all-important "family unification", since so many of my own relatives are still in Northern Ireland.....and it will shorten the Queen's official title.

Still not good enough? Maybe....

3. Recognize that Australia is not capable of defending itself from the invasion from Asia any better than the USA can stop the invasion from Mexico. Tell the Aussies there are vast regions of nearly uninhabited and dry places in the western USA and allow them free immigration to this country....on a one-to-one basis with Hispanic illegal aliens. This will have the added benefit of marooning the American draft dodgers and deserters from the Vietnam era.....even if Carter did give them free amnesty for their crimes. (Having renounced their US citizenship, they would not be eligible.)

4. Aw heck. The UK has allowed themselves to be overrun by Muslims and Hindus and Bantus and Arabs, so just let the WASP English that are left to finish what their relatives started centuries ago....and move freely to the USA. This will promote that....you know....family unification, leave the British Isles to the savages, let the Germans and the French figure out how to make the EU work all by themselves, close a few US military bases and use the savings to work on a fence that works on the Mexican border. (We are definitely going to need it.)

I can honestly recommend all four suggestions and it may take ALL four to offset the damage that will be done to this country if only millions of Hispanics get amnesty. We need to mix shit and ice cream to get good tasting shit.

Apparently, everything is rocket science to the GOP.

Probably to the GOP base - who cannot ever figure out why things move only in one direction. The GOP elite however know perfectly well what they're doing. Keep in mind that the actual purpose of the Gay Old Party is to deflect. The Repukes suck up money, time and energy form those who might otherwise for a real political opposition. The fact that Karl Rove is still essentially running things is telling. It's been two solid years since the Repukes took over the bathhouse, and all they've been able to do is have a contest amongst themselves to see who could fellate D'Won and his banksta masters the fastest. Remember all the bluster about getting rid of the lawless criminal Eric "My People" Holder last year? Holder's still got his job, which is more than can be said for Tea Party darling Allen West. We have one party in the Banksta Banana Republick - the Squid Socialist Party. It has two divisions: one wears the D-jerseys while the other wears the R-jerseys. Style and tactics are different but the ultimate objective (totalitarian slavery) is the same.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Texas Representative John Carter took to his facebook page to say this:

"It is very frustrating to realize this is the 40th anniversary of Roe. v. Wade, which has taken the lives of an estimated 50 million American babies. The loss of these many Americans now threatens the stability of Social Security and Medicare for the elderly, reminding us that every life counts, and that failure to protect the young leads to failure to protect the old. Let us renew our efforts to reverse this tragic mistake in our law."

Takes the breath away, does it not? Today it is reported that there is a "secret" group in the House putting together their own version of an amnesty program. Carter, unsurprisingly, is in the group.

I would not listen to all those alarms about Japan. Yes it is true they are aging, but keep in mind their population is 120 million in a nation with a landmass comparable to California which has around 35 million people. Japan should probably have a population closer to 70 million like they did in WW2.

The US and Western Europe are aging too. So any problems Japan encounters about caring for the elderly are going to be seen here too.

The difference between us and Japan is this. While both nations main demographic is aging, Japanese are not being replaced by aliens like Europeans are in the US and Europe. Japan will have trouble in the near and mid term paying for their elderly. But as a European, I would not be too sanguine that our vibrant, multicultural youth are going to be either capable or willing to take care of me as I age.

Do you think people of color tomorrow are going to want to spend tax money on caring for old Europeans? Or are they going to spend that money on the education and health needs of their own ethnics?

I'd rather be in the shoes of the Japanese. At least you have a better shot at compassion if the younger generation is ethnically similar to you and considers you family.

So in the future, Japan will still be Japanese while America will be something unrecognizable to our Founders.

The people in the media pushing the aging-Japanese-population-leading-to-national-extinction meme are the same ones who push the West to accept demographic change, and are upset that the Japanese, and Koreans for that matter, won't do the same.

iSteve regularly presents critiques of such news stories on his blog.

I think there are varying degrees of what passes for Socialism. I have never been to Finland, but heard it is a very desirable place to live. They don't seem to have the extreme gulf between rich and poor and they have a fairly comprehensive safety net.

One is Partido Revolucionario Institucional. The other is Partido de la Revolución Democrática.

But Mexico and Latin America were not always socialist. They had to convert over at some point, in the same way they were not always Catholic.

How can we get them to stop being stupid? That's the real question.

Ah, yes, but socialism, being inherently parasitic, has fled (in significant, though not majority, by any means) the host of Mexico. True. Notice socialism took hold in Mexico AFTER industrialization (i.e. nationalizing Pemex in 1938). Restructuring wars could be like La Violencia in Colombia.

"Former Senior Director of International Economic Affairs for the United States National Security Council and current President of the Institute for Global Economic Growth, Norman A. Bailey describes the atrocities succinctly: “Ingenious forms of quartering and beheading were invented and given such names as the "corte de mica", "corte de corbata”, and so on. Crucifixions and hangings were commonplace, political "prisoners" were thrown from airplanes in flight, infants were bayoneted, schoolchildren, some as young as eight years old, were raped en masse, unborn infants were removed by crude Caesarian section and replaced by roosters, ears were cut off, scalps removed, and so on”.[8] While scholars, historians, and analysts have all debated the source of this era of unrest, they have yet to formulate a widely accepted explanation for why it escalated to the notable level it did."

Replaced by roosters? Repeat that again please. I like how it brings PETA, feminists, and Planned Parenthood all together in perfect harmony.

Actually Ukrainians, per capita, are hotter than Russians. And, much more available. [1]

Reynolds et al [conservatives] just prove the Hegelian trap they are caught in, that they fail to identify and recognize. Therefore substantiating the cluelessness they continually exhibit.

Making predictions on the collapse of a state, say 30 years from now, is about as sensible as one of my former CEOs trying to convince me and other employees on his 300 YEAR Plan for our company, that was soon after absorbed by AT&T. No one has a clue as to what may well happen in these next 12 months. WWIII was averted in September of last year, to most's obliviousness, due to the continual panem et circenses.

On immigration. A political party in 2004, had the following plank(s) in their platform:

We shall stop all illegal immigration, and use our Military to help U.S. Customs and other agencies to secure all the borders of the USA. All who are here on work or college permits that do not work or go to school will be deported.

Prior to that plank, they also have this:

We shall sign an Executive Order to stop the engagement of all U.S. Military in all wars outside of the borders of the United States of America. We will use the U.S. Military to secure our foreign and domestic bases, our national borders, water-ways and docks in America to insure that there is no illegal immigration, weapons or terrorists entering the Unites States.

Now, further in this document, these candidates had the cojones to state the following (with details) concerning:

ELIMINATE THE UNITED NATIONS ON USA SOIL
NATO & CHEMTRAILS OVER AMERICA "OPERATION CLOVERLEAF"
CONFISCATE THE STOLEN WESTSTAR SATELLITE SYSTEM
ARREST AND ELIMINATE THE ILLEGAL SHADOW GOVERNMENT
STOP TREASONOUS ILLEGAL WEAPON AND TECHNOLOGIES SALES
DECLASSIFY ALL SECRET GOVERNMENT RECORDS
UFOs, AREA 51, THE FALLEN ANGELS also known as ALIENS
CLONING AND GENETIC MANIPULATION
NASA WILL BE ELIMINATED
NO MORE "REX 84" AMERICAN CONCENTRATION CAMPS
ELIMINATE FEMA

And that is just the "short list."

Some will examine this, and say this is crazy. This can't be possibly happening. I don't agree with everything in this platform. Some of it needs to be debated and re-examined. A lot of this is in fact necessary. A lot of this will be agreed upon by Ron Paul adherents, anarcho-capitalists, Austrian-schooled, and general libertarians.

The overall solution to, including the subject of illegal immigration, is the aspect of a universal paradigm shift. A shift that some scholars agree and statistically confirm that happened once in 1776 in Philadelphia, PA., and some even go so far to state occurred also in 1522 in Wittenburg, Germany.

Crazy huh? Well, then lets have a conversation with a clinical psychologist. Shall we? I mean, he is an expert on what is crazy or not. [2] [Go to Third Force 01-10-13]

"Because all members of the latino voting block are from Mexico.

And this matters... how? From the point of view of an actual American, there's no important distinction to be made between Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, or any other of these corrupt greasy shit-colored monkey-holes. I don't really care if the cockroaches in my basement arrived from my neighbor's basement or if they got in through the backyard door. I'm only interested in not having cockroaches in my basement. It's like asking a Teuton if the greasy rat-faced Arabs infesting northern Europe are from Yemen or Morocco. Who cares? The important thing is to get rid of them.

"the Cubans are here because they loved communism so much that they risk their lives to come share it with us!"

The Cubans are here because they want our stuff. It's always the same story. None of these people actually want "freedom" or what-not, they want white-people stuff. Do you think Haitians risk their lives paddling around in their retard-boats trying to land in Florida because they're attracted by... freedom? No, it's because they saw hot white girls on TV. And because they can't stand living around other Haitians. I mean, who could?

We're filling up our entire country with sharp-elbowed operators who don't give a rat's ass about our values, our culture, our history... or us. They just want our stuff, they've noticed that we've left all the doors unlocked, and so they figure they may as well just sneak in and take it. We apparently don't value it or intend to keep it for ourselves, otherwise we'd load them onto a giant catapult and send them flying back to retard-land. But we don't; instead we pay for their health care and their children's pointless educations, and tax ourselves to smithereens to pay for even more of them to come here and ruin everything.

Of course the guys criticizing him today are probably the ones that shunned him in the past over his views on blowback and foreign policy.

Yet they still seem to be OK with the guys who launched the Iraq attack, busted the budget and who tried, and are still trying, to turn our nation into a third world hellhole through amnesty and open borders.

I mean Paul makes a tone deaf statement and we must never, ever listen to him again. Meanwhile Bush and McCain pushed for a completely unnecessary, wasteful war and tried every trick and subterfuge to change the demographics of our nation and they are still welcome in the big tent.

To me something is wrong with that, and if that's what passes for conservative, then we are indeed screwed.

Well, that's higher than I expected. I've been researching Japanese stocks and finding many with little to no debt. Obviously, the part does not extend to the whole. But to explain my thinking further, a Japanese blow up will be about the government. They're not going to blame the banks. The evidence I'm seeing is that the political winds are blowing strongly to the right, and that the response to the coming crisis will be to cut the government. The EU is showing signs of moving right, but that could be more in a National Socialist direction. The U.S. at this point is trending left.

He's a crappy politician. He's bad at playing the game, and he's not natural enough to reject the game. He had his 10% and he never stopped preaching to the choir. The only time he did well was when a liberal was directly confronting him, then he went into explaining how the economy and government.

His statement was terrible politically, but I can understand it somewhat if he's reacting to press coverage. Usually, the media gives a sanitized version of military activities. He's a hero. In this case, they noted the exact number of his kills and called him "America's Deadliest Sniper." I'm reading reports overseas, so I can't judge the tone in the whole press, but it did come across as cold. I did a double take when I saw the headlines, they seemed to emphasize that he himself was a killer.

What part of retired are you having problems with?

So your problem with that statement is my verb tense? Guys like Tim Penny, JC Watts retire. You don't hear from them because they leave. Ron Paul is still involved. Either way, was/is, he's not a skilled politician.

Democrats are the party of the enemy,
Republicans are the party of traitors.

Reality is Racist.

He's not a politician any more. He retired.

> Guys like Tim Penny, JC Watts retire.

JC Watts was on one of the talk radio shows just a month or so ago doing an interview. But Paul can't comment on anything?

> Either way, was/is, he's not a skilled politician.

Skilled enough to be re-elected multiple times. We should all be such failures.
