It's a bold strategy

Let's see if it pays off for him.  I'm left to reflect that it is just as well that Bane is dead.  This would have killed him.  There is no doubt in my mind that he would have died laughing on the spot.  The artist certainly did a magnificent job of capturing the essence.

UPDATE: A Whatever rabbit likes the Gamma Rabbit almost as much as I do:  I kind of want to get this tattooed on me just to watch the gibbering howls of Alpha rage, which I would enjoy with a nice rum and coke.

I kind of want him to do it too.  Better yet, I want John Scalzi to do it.  In fact, I will pledge ONE DOLLAR towards funding the cost of Mr. Scalzi getting the full-color Gamma Rabbit tattooed on his body.  Let's see if he truly cares about diversity, gender equality, and the poor little gay black girls or not.  Is his commitment even skin-deep?

Considering that Gamma Male designation is pretty (although not quite) unique to Vox, I suspect this will have unintended consequences when people google it to find out what it is.

Why does he think alphas would be enraged by someone self-identifying as a gamma?!

Well, he DOES say he enjoys coke.

I love this comment: "I assumed it would be a picture of “alpha Scalzi”. Shirtless. Ripped. Holding a gun. Chewing on a small animal. Kicking some Commie ass. Covered in sweat stains, blood, and tobacco.

This is cool too, though. I won’t buy one, because my wife won’t let me (which sort of shows where I am on the alpha hierarchy)."

I am baffled at the cluelessness on display in the comment thread. Maybe because it's the first time I've read comments on that site.

Well, there goes his promise not to mention the RHSD crowd until the end of the year. It didn't held even a week.

Coincidantilly, i found this picture via a feminist I befriend on facebook.

Because Gamma Rabbit has other, better people and things to think about.

Yet here he goes. Again. Hippity hoppity, the seether bunny seethes again. Where is Anonymous Conservative? The description of motives accompanying the image is a textbook case of rabbit think with its attempts to bask in the odors of the warren and to define its target as not-rabbit.

Let's face it, the reality is that the scalzied one, tired of taking a relentless beating via mockery, decided to fight back by punching himself in the balls while screaming about how much he likes it.

I am going plege 100.00 dollars just to spite you. O fcorse I could care less and am not going to pay. What is with the reaon to pledge? Never understood it. Just get out your check book and write a damn check, quit the damn plege shit. No one ever publicly will know anything I donate to and I shall keep it that way. If I want to donate I do I don't need to pledge to do so. Matter of fact I think most plegers are fakes trying to paddle against a current they intend to never swing a paddle.

You can't make evil people feel guilty and you can't get good people to pledge. They either do or don't forget the publicity.

Kind of like polls, people just say stuff that is popular in their demographic. I never signed the pledge to deport Piers Morgan and don't care what that Mother f*cker ever had to say.

Vox made it clear they were not getting the guns and no one had to pledge anything. We decide through actions and not pledges.

I hope the tally ends up somewhere near the maximum by year's end because it is very interesting whether or not the money will actually be coughed up. Will there be 50 000 dollars or 50 000 excuses?

Anonymous Krul February 05, 2013 5:03 AM

You know, some people write LOL or ROFL when they didn't actually make a sound in response to something online. I generally don't utilize those initialisms for the simple reason that so few things online succeed in making me laugh.

That's why I'm proud in this case to type the following, being of sound mind and fit body, in full sincerity:

LOL!

I thought it was impossible to top the picture of him dressing in drag, but this blasted through all my expectations.

Oh, and I'm almost certain the artist behind the Gamma Rabbit cartoon was making fun of Scalzi.

I really hope this episode continues for a long time.

Anonymous kh123 February 05, 2013 5:03 AM

Someone already beat me to the tat quote.

I wonder if Wallace ever found evidence in the Malay of herbivorous animals that not only pissed themselves as a means of defense, but urinated on others of their species in close proximity when frightened by predators. If only he had access to some tribe similar to the Warren - he no doubt would have outdone Darwin in contributing to the world's understanding of the grand theory of evolution.

Anonymous OCS February 05, 2013 5:05 AM

From the Whatever peanut gallery:

Gamma Rabbit believes in being and letting be. Gamma Rabbit is neither afraid nor anyone you need be afraid of. Gamma Rabbit is the ultimate non-violent super-hero!!

So basically Scalzi can't do what Gamma Rabbit can?

Anonymous YIH February 05, 2013 5:10 AM

Oh wow! I followed Vox's link to Whatevership Down and it was most certainly a trip through the looking glass.
''They disdain those who are comfortable with a world in which diversity is respected and encouraged''. I wonder what that clown even means by that because there are quite a few places where the ''diversity'' in ''people of color'' would be as personally ''comfortable'' as a fully loaded firearm pressed to his body. Often in such locales - literally.

Blogger Bogey February 05, 2013 5:11 AM

That was a pretty decent submission.

But herein lies the crux of the matter.
Yes, Gamma Rabbit, who likes people as they are, fears no one no matter how they live their lives, and who is comfortable with himself and his own personal values of kindness, tolerance and diversity.

Which of course is a lie. We've learned by now that the rabbit is only tolerant of other rabbits who abide by the laws of the warren. And we know that the chief rabbit will no doubt make this known again and again.

Anonymous Anonymous February 05, 2013 5:13 AM

Anonymous Outlaw X February 05, 2013 5:15 AM

"will actually be coughed up. Will there be 50 000 dollars or 50 000 excuses??"

I think the latter more likely.

Human nature is not just selfish it is ignorant. If that were not so we would have never needed God or great Philosophers. The TV and circus distracts men while God and philosophers try to bring them home. Unfortunately religion, not Jesus, as the TV has become entertainment for the mass of people and no one reads the great philosophers, as that is to hard especially when you are on Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors.

Drug the population with bread and circus then put them on SSRI's. Want to kill 90% of the population? That is a good start.

People think this is extreme thinking, but I was on them for three years and quit cold turkey 3 years ago.

This ain't about polls or what people think this is about controlling what people think about. Vox Breaks he mold.

Better to be a drunk than a SSRI (LSD) Zombie dumbass.

The perfect speech bubble for that image would be "Oh please don't hurt me, Mr Wolf! I'm friendly, see? I'm not threatening at all. Please pleeeaaase don't kill me! Oh God, someone help me!"

Anyone else have a good caption? I can't be the only one.

The only time a ''pledge'' is even meaningful is when it's a very public figure (like a celebrity) doing it. If Donald Trump does a ''pledge'' of $X to charity Y the only reason one of staffers will cut the check is due to the threat of negative publicity.

I looked up the Pink Rabbit's 'about' page and found this:
A California native, Scalzi attended the Webb Schools of California and the University of Chicago, and lives in Ohio.
My point being that if he were to enter the ''wrong'' part of Cincinnati Ohio it wouldn't matter what he thinks, feels, or would like to believe about ''people of color'' for the mere act of showing his face in those areas could quite likely be fatal to him:

Not pointless, not at all. There are parts of Cincinnati for example you would well warned to avoid. For it matters not what you say, write, think or wish to believe. Just your mere presence in those areas would be quite hazardous to you. If that photo is anything like accurate.

Oh but one could not draw any conclusions about People of Color from such incidents. That would be raciss! Whenever blacks attack whites, that is a Purely Random Attack With No Racial Implications. When I read this bit of comment at the rabbit warren, the phrase "apocalyptic battle to the death" immediately conjured up a vision of Vox in a helicopter, coming in low, out of the sun, "Ride of the Valkyries" booming in the air, with him leaning over, yelling over the voice of the rotors, explaining to a noob, "I use reality, scares the Hell out of the Rabbits."

Go cry to mommy, now, because somebody said something 'diminishing' to you.

There's a good lad.

The solidarity is worse, but you cannot expect less from the wharren.

"I Am Spartacus!" was a moment of nobility.

This is more "I'm a Toady!", something like Wormtongue in LotR.

In a different post I've noted that Gammabit is 1. not wearing pants, 2. not possessing anything which would require covering.

At least it is non-discriminatory.

I just click the bookmark once a day and see what opportunities for snark there are. I'm pretty sure it's what you're doing, too.

Can't quit him? I don't read anything by him. I just like seeing the monkeys hoot and banging on the cage.

Let's face it: you're all assholes, and most of you are idiots. In my eyes, that makes this *playtime*.
