46 million more Americans

That's the CBO estimate for the Senate's immigration bill:
The Senate’s pending immigration bill will pave the way for the arrival of 46 million legal immigrants over the next 20 years, increase the federal debt in the same time period and shrink Americans’ average wage, according Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Session’s critical reading of two new reports on the pending immigration reform bill provided by the Congressional Budget Office. But Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, the most prominent GOP advocate for the immigration reform bill, says the CBO reports are good news for Americans.
Marco Rubio wants more Hispanic immigrants.  That's almost as much of a surprise as Italy's new Congolese Minister of the Interior, whose first action in office was to argue for the importance of making it easier for Africans to get Italian citizenship.  Isn't it a remarkable coincidence that the absolute top priority of every immigrant who achieves any political power is to bring in more people just like them?

Anyhow, this should suffice to snuff out the last remnants of any grass roots Republican enthusiasm for Marco Rubio.  And I can't help but notice the reference to that portentous year. 2033. By the time there are 357 million people living in the lower 48, I very much doubt they will still be a single political entity.

You're being awfully optimistic

Anonymous Mike M. June 20, 2013 2:10 PM

Yup. Rubio can kiss both the Presidency and Vice Presidency good-bye.

Not that I thought he was a really first-tier candidate. The American public favors Governors, not Senators, for the White House.

Anonymous RINO June 20, 2013 2:19 PM

Recent political history suggests Rubio's hopes for a primary win are not in jeapordy. McCain pushed for the 2006 bill and won the nomination relatively early in 2008. Rubio has even more time for people to forget.

In a better world this would disqualify Rubio. And if we're being honest it should disqualify Rand too. Although he's going to vote no on this latest mess he did say that we will "find a place" for all these millions.

Anonymous JartStar June 20, 2013 2:19 PM

Since he likely knows the GOP has already kissed the presidency goodbye thanks to demographics he's planning for a lifetime of being a Senator. It's a savvy political move.

The most hilarious aspect of all of this is how deeply, deeply delusional GOP politicians are about the dynamics of amnesty.
They think they're buying votes, when really they're just getting mugged.
The GOP is done.
They may pick up the Senate in 2014, due to an upswing in more localized electoral politics.
But on a national level, they're done.
The only question left to be asked is whether any of the existing third parties are capable of coalescing the GOP shed-off into any type of political force.
My guess is no.

Anonymous Josh June 20, 2013 2:37 PM

Isn't Rand's position that we should secure the border first and then legalize the illegals without allowing then to become citizens and cutting off welfare to them? And combine that with a moratorium on all immigration for something like twenty years?

It's not the preferred solution, but it's miles better than anything else that's been offered.

The Senate’s pending immigration bill will pave the way for the arrival of 46 million legal immigrants over the next 20 years...

I'm sorry, but can't conservatives block immigration by pitting the EPA against the rest of the government?

What is the environmental impact of 46 million new immigrants? Has anyone done a study? You can't build a tree house without an environmental impact study today, but you can increase the population by 46 million?

Why can't a conservative group sue to force the Federal government to perform study after study on the environmental impact of more immigrants before allowing one more to step foot in the U.S.?

Groups smaller then the Tea Party manage to stall projects for decades with this strategy. Why the hell won't we learn from them?

Anonymous RINO June 20, 2013 2:45 PM

No, it's not better. There's taking a stance against legalization in any form and then there's everything else. You see how people are .. do you really think they'll allow a group of second class people in the country? Too many feelbads involved with that. It'll become their new human rights cause. Then someone will give them citizenship.

Anonymous Alexander June 20, 2013 2:47 PM

Not just the EPA. You would think that the NAACP would have skin in the game as well.

All those new union members will be the ones voting for the leaders who helped bring them in, not the disgruntled members who leave the union in disgust or due to losing their jobs to the immigrants.

Yesterday, I went along with my friend as his official translator. We were at an apartment complex with 99.9% Mexican residents. All the children were out in the court yard eating lunch served to them by the public school - during their summer break!

Since when did the public school system become a free food program? The school offers them free breakfast, free lunch and an after school snack during the school year, now they're feeding them during the summer.

Our money is being extorted from us to propagate these locusts. It made me sick.

As a Floridian for over thirty years, I have watched the complete transformation of my state from a laid back tourist destination that was famous for Disney and oranges in to a third world ghetto. First came the Mariel criminal refugees, then the Haitian boat lift, and now our congress wants to permit 45 million more third world inhabitants the right to citizenship. It boggles my mind sometimes. My standard of living will suffer substantially, as will the living standards for millions and millions just like me. More taxes will be demanded of me to provide "help" to these new "citizens" in the form of health care [100% subsidized], welfare, WIC, SNAP, TANF and a host of other "free" benefits which we pay for by having an actual job and paying our taxes.

I cannot imagine this country in twenty years with a Mexican majority population. I weep for my daughter.

Someone stop the planet please, I want to get off.

This sort of talk used to bother me. But since white people are refusing to even send a representative to the future, it is hard for me to keep caring. "America" that I used to know is gone. The people, institutions, government and culture are all gone. Why would I care if the future third worlds country in what was once California is Asian, Mexican, or African? (I intend to keep Virginia a little while longer).

At this point I could care less. I look at the positive in this that it will just speed up the eventual break-up of the union. It is done anyways, this just will help it along.

Been looking forward to the opportunities that are to come more than lamenting that which has been lost. The unfortunate part is that it will be ugly getting there.

The die is cast. Whether this bill passes on this iteration or the next it will come.

On a bright note, this will finish off the dead elephant party. Silver linings, lemons into lemonade, etc.

We shouldn't put too much stock in what Rubio is doing. The guy could be as Libertarian as anyone on this site, and it wouldn't do a lick of good. Liberals have dirt on everybody, they know the location of every sizable skeleton for all politicians -- including their own (and they throw the mob a sacrifice now and then to appease them). If Rubio were anti-legalization, some Leftist would call him up and say "remember that time you look at that funky porn site?" That'd be the end of his position. And if he was pro-legalization, they'd just stand by and smile. It doesn't matter what individual politicians might believe in, they'll all toe the Leftist line when it really matters. All the illegals will be legalized. And in ten years, they will do it again.

A case can be made for your point in the US but not throughout all the lands of white majority population. Many parts of Eastern Europe have large white majorities and very little immigration. The have much lower birthrates than here in the US where we are "paying for pretty much every minority's kid(s)". As Vox has noted, even Italy with its close proximity to Africa (and it's immigrant horde) is more "white" than the US and they have a much lower birth rate than Whitey does here in the US.

Money has a role, but only in the sense on what we value more, kids or stuff. Statism and the brainwashing that kids are bad and stuff is good combined with abortion on demand and rampant birth control have more to do with it than anything.

If we valued kids as much as we do stuff maybe we wouldn't be in our current predicament.

Refusing? I would love to have a family. But I am rapidly approaching the age where it will simply not happen, and I don't expect I can do anything about it with the time I have left.

* The job market sucks, and my income has been stagnate or dropping for 6 years straight. For all my hard work...in a STEM field no less...it wasn't that great before the crash.

* Prices on necessities continue to go up, leaving me feeling like I can barely support myself.

* When you subtract the divorcees, the single moms, the minority women, the man-jaw feminist types, and the land whales...good God, the land whales...the ratio of men to women is like 10-to-1. Maybe 20-to-1.

* The women who are actually desirable take advantage of that ratio by becoming sluts. Can't say I blame them, but even at church the desirable ones have notch counts comparable to porn stars.

* Mean while, my so called government PAYS 3rd world immigrants to breed like rabbits.

I've worked the numbers and I would be in a better financial position, and would be better able to form a family, if I left America, denounced my citizenship, and returned as an illegal. Think about that.

Fertility rate is dropping because white people want to raise quality over quantity. Either raise for quality or have none at all is the mantra.

American white fertitlity is dropping faster because the costs of rasining those kids is much higher. Why? Because we are paying for the blacks and hispanics.

That is bullshit, kids don't cost that much and taxes are not so much that you can't possibly afford another kid (and yes I have them and know what it costs to raise a child). As a society we choose not to have more children because we prefer the extra money and time more than we prefer having another child.

Is a large family more of a challenge? Undoubtedly yes. Does a large family cost more? Once again yes. That said, I have been all over this nation and I have never seen sections of primarily white society that was so poor they couldn't afford another kid anywhere. In case you haven't noticed it isn't whites that live in the ghetto in this country.

If true financial hardship was the prime reason that fertility rates are going down, why is it that the more affluent white women in this country have the lowest fertility rates. Can't afford it I guess.

It is a choice we make and as a society we have decided to value stuff over children.

That reminds me of a cartoon I saw yesterday with a quote attributed to Ben Stein

"Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured ...., but not everyone must prove they are a citizen.

And now, any of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will recieve free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are a citizen" Ben Stien

I agree we are screwed and it is on purpose, ( see communist manifesto in regards to family). Still we are complicit in going along. We as a society are choosing this path to obscurity.

Here is something I don't grasp when the topic of replacement birthrates comes up. Why is the assumption always that since whites aren't having babies fast enough we must therefor be replaced by third worlders? In other words, if you had a homogeneous population that was declining in numbers, at some point housing would get cheaper (more empty houses), food would get cheaper (less people eating) and energy would as well due to the population decline. As a result, it seems the trend would reverse itself over time and go the other way. It's not like low wage immigrants are interchangeable with the declining white population if you wish to get the same societal results. No, my hunch is the whole point is to REPLACE the white population. That's just my hunch but what kind of paranoid, controlling power hungry group of people would promote such a thing as replacing an independent white population with a more easily controlled less educated brown population?

You're simply wrong. The cost of raising a child is the cost of buying the neighborhood and the school system necessary to keep those kids away from feral blacks and hispanics.

Modern society is not conducive for whites to have children in safe areas, unless you have lots of money.

The risk of having your kids end up in some nigger-loving public school is too great.

And let's face it. This society does not give a shit about white people. Why should it be rewarded with willing, intelligent and productive slaves? You want to work and have kids so that spics and niggers can live comfortably?

Allyn71...."If true financial hardship was the prime reason that fertility rates are going down, why is it that the more affluent white women in this country have the lowest fertility rates. Can't afford it I guess."

You have it backward. The women who can best AFFORD to have children are stay at home moms, with a husband breadwinner. The next group who can best AFFORD to have children are those single moms who receive public support. Working women, particularly "successful, professional, degreed" women, cannot afford the hit on their careers or the Family Leave Act (no pay for months) after the baby is born. Wealthy women can always hire out the breeding, find a surrogate, or pick up a couple of Afrikan or Asian orphans to adopt. Notice, when hubby cannot find work, then this just ends up in family court until mommy can find a better breadwinner. When daddy finally goes back to work, he can send mommy half his pay, and stepdaddy can help too.

Minor bone to pick: the lead post's title should IMO read "46 million more Third-World colonists" (coming to America). And, imagine if they were told they could no longer speak Spanish, Swahili, Creole, Portugese, Arabic, Hmong, etc., while in the U.S. starting 2 years afterwards, on pain of immediate and permanent expulsion...

The school offers them free breakfast, free lunch and an after school snack during the school year, now they're feeding them during the summer.

So they're really not schools, they're restaurants/feeding centers.

"If Christians had more babies what would the elites have to complain about?"

They do, by the boatload. Except they are Hispanic. And undesirable by a number of people on this blog.

After the uprising of the 17th of June
The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee
Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government
And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier
In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?
