25 Best Tweets of 2013

The Right Wing News puts a list of the year's best political tweets together and one of them turns out to be mine:
I think this is what is described as “losing your base”. Bill Ayers: “Try Obama for War Crimes”.

I also liked Joe Rogan's:

OT: Just thought I'd pass this along: Another take on the fake sign language in the Mandela memorial

Jim Geraghty had a good one, too:

"Car Rescues: Zimmerman 1, Kennedy 0"

"Now is not the time to gut these job creating investments and innovation." I feel like we've been investing forever. When do they pay off?

some real gems. I wish I'd written that!

Wake up to energy poverty just in time to discover it kills! A fraud based on a lie based on a speculation supported by a conjecture.

133 count. Any takers?

Joe plays such boneheads. I'm always surprised when I read his stuff.

I just checked, that was 97 characters. I could have probably included the whole URL and still kept it a 'tweet'. I was doing brief comments long before Twitter.

This country has a mental health problem disguised as a gun problem

Prescriptions for anti-psychotic drugs for children has increased 3x in the past ten years. Its a bubble.

If they could just smoke dope they could not get it together enough to carry out the tactics and logistics necessary to do nefarious deeds, never mind remembering what their original mission was.

You mean this isn't Twitter? Then why do I keep limiting my comments to 140 characters?

Ayers is just jealous because Obama has killed more cops.

Seal team 6 were not "Constabularies of Police"

Yeah, except in Vox's case. I am really concerned here. After I made 2 + 2 = 37 and squared the circle, he was crying in the corner, and then starting eating his feces while screaming "How can I possibly play soccer now? There is no God and Idle is his Prophet."

It was really uncomfortable.

America also has a divorce and family breakdown problem disguised as a mental health problem.

My favorites:

"“Oh, the guy who bombed Boston is on the loose in my neighborhood? Super glad I don’t have an AR-15 with 30 round mags” Said nobody, ever."

"Democrats calling our office today to argue women should not be allowed to defend themselves with a gun if they are raped #WarOnWomen"

Heh. Bonus:

"I’m disgusted when I see some old guy with a younger woman. Or a younger guy with a younger woman. Just couples. Or groups. Any person.

— Joss Whedon (@josswhedon)"

Is kind of sad how....unsurprising is the last one.

VD, you link to RightWingNews relatively often, although only because he's mentioned you or your sites. I've always wondered why.

Is it because any press is good press, or because you see it as preaching to Pharisees, or Just Because?

John Hawkins seems a decent guy, but he strikes me as more a conventional Republican who would sell out in a heartbeat to support his political team. I wonder if you have a different read on him.
