Saudi Arabia performs the "impossible"

Isn't it amazing how other countries routinely appear to be able to do what we are informed is not only impossible, but outright unthinkable?
Teodros Adhanom, the Ethiopian foreign minister, has turned to Twitter almost every night for the last three weeks to tersely report the number of his countrymen expelled from Saudi Arabia.“Last night arrivals from Saudi reached 100,620,” he wrote on Friday, describing a fraction of one of the largest deportations in recent Middle East history. Riyadh has said it wants to forcibly expel as many as 2m of the foreign workers, including hundreds of thousands of Ethiopians, Somalis, Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis, who make up around a third of the country’s 30m population.

At home, the exodus of illegal workers is being seen as the kingdom’s most radical labour market experiment yet. With one in four young Saudi males out of work, analysts applaud Riyadh’s determination to tackle the problem, but doubt the crackdown will achieve its objective, as Saudi nationals are unlikely to apply for menial jobs.
What a fascinating way to solve the unemployment problem! Get rid of the excess labor supply. Why, the next thing you know, someone will discover that the Law of Supply and Demand applies to the labor market! And if a country with a 30m population can expel 2m illegal workers in a civilized manner, then surely a country with 300m population is capable of expelling 20m of them.  Minnesota could be Somali-free within 15 days if they contracted the job out to the Saudis.

It's not a coincidence that after importing tens of millions of immigrants, the USA has gone into economic and demographic decline. The same is true of the UK and Western Europe. The facts are in. Mass immigration does not boost mature economies. It only speeds up their decline by reducing wages and forcing native workers to go into debt in order to try to maintain their standard of living until the debt limits are reached.

As for the unwillingness of Saudi nationals to apply for menial jobs, the Saudis might consider raising the wages and eliminating the subsidized unemployment.

Western demographic decline began in earnest with the introduction of the pill. Large scale immigration is a symptom, not the cause of that decline.

It would be ironic on more than a few levels if Al-Jazeera were to report on this in as open a manner to the English speaking world, without the tearful Telemundo-style interviews with the deportees.

Pretty much. Not only that, but jobs that are 'menial' will provide a nice comfortable lifestyle. Not lavish, but comfortable. There was a time in the US that a 'menial' job provided a little slice of ownership, a good lifestyle, and a few years of retirement before you died.

That's what too many people don't understand. People want the things that menial jobs provide. I enjoy indoor plumbing. I enjoy trash pickup. I enjoy fresh produce, high quality cooking ingredients, and repairable appliances. But the market is going to reward lower prices. Its a spiral to bottom. And it's all built upon low service industry wages.

Anonymous stats79 December 08, 2013 3:17 AM

Of course the Saudis can pull off something like this. In the west, our Jewish overlords would never allow it.

Doubtful. In Japan, no one uses the pill (less than 1% adoption). Yet they have demographic problems. In the US, it was released in 1960, but it was not widespread until the late 60's. Immigration reform that got us where we are now was passed in 1965.

Excess labor supply drives down labor wages, and that depresses family size. All of the sudden you need two income earners and you still are barely touching the middle class.

Demographically, allowing large business to take over the food supply, between WWI and WWII, is probably the single biggest thing that screwed the food supply. The decline of the small and medium sized farm, and the resulting drive to towards mega-farming, has destroyed countless fertile farming communities.

...Actually, is surprising that they'd allow both Hindis and Pakis in considerable numbers to come in. Unless immigration and the work overseers had enough sense to keep them separate.

Anonymous Alexander December 08, 2013 3:33 AM

Oh, I don't know... The Saudis seem the type that would tell Indian and Pakistani workers that they can either hunker down and do the job they've been invited in to do without making a scene about who they are working with, or they can have their feet lashed before taking the next flight home.

Probably solves any number of potential squabbles.

Anonymous stats79 December 08, 2013 3:33 AM

Doubtful. In Japan, no one uses the pill (less than 1% adoption). Yet they have demographic problems.

Huh, didn't know that. But this also argues that the demographic decline in the west is not related to immigration. There is virtually zero immigration in Japan.

Anonymous dh December 08, 2013 3:54 AM

stats79-- Japan supports my proposition that economic factors are more serious than anything else for demographics. My thinking is that people don't want to have large families if they can't maintain an acceptable living standard. Japan has been in economic contraction or stagnation for decades. Immigration, which Japan has basically none of, and the pill are both essentially at zero in Japan. I wish I had a metric to look at that would help support my proposition, but I have none that I can think of.

As for Japan, the abortion rate is very high there, I believe. And I read somewhere recently that young Japanese seem to have largely lost interest in sex. Something is happening there, for sure. And the real effects of Fukushima won't be apparent for decades, or more.

Anonymous stats79 December 08, 2013 4:04 AM

In the US, it (the pill) was released in 1960, but it was not widespread until the late 60's. Immigration reform that got us where we are now was passed in 1965.

The pill was an instant hit in the US. By 1962 1.2 American women were on the pill. By 1963 nearly 2.3 million women were on the pill. By 1965, the year of the Hart-Cellar Act, nearly 6.5 million women were on the pill, making it the most popular form of birth control in the US.

And the live birth stats for the US show that the demographic decline began in 1961.

Anonymous stats79 December 08, 2013 4:12 AM

Japan supports my proposition that economic factors are more serious than anything else for demographics.

Perhaps in Japan, a very cautious and disciplined people. But as I've shown, the demographic decline in the US began before large scale immigration. Interestingly, the Hart-Cellar Act, which discontinued immigration quotas based on national origin, was actually the first piece of legislation that restricted Mexican immigration.

Anonymous stats79 December 08, 2013 4:21 AM

Doubtful. In Japan, no one uses the pill (less than 1% adoption).

Abortion has been legal in Japan since 1945. Live birth rate has been low there ever since. Economic contraction in Japan began about the time their demographics went completely upside down in the 1990s. Read Harry Dent on the relationship of demographics and the economy in Japan.

"the Saudis might consider raising the wages and eliminating the subsidized unemployment."

Its pretty much guaranteed that the Saudis are going to reform welfare. Their revenues arent where they used to be and its a prime target. Ive read a proposal theyre considering where they replace unemployment insurance with "salary gap" insurance. There is a minimum annual income that every citizen can expect, and anyone who earns less than that will be supplemented with the difference. But those who dont work at all will get nothing.

This is why Saudi Arabia has an incentive to deport all their illegals, as the market wages for low-skilled jobs will rise, and the state wont have to compensate as much. I expect to see legal immigrants punished, as they are the ones predominantly hiring illegals. Also want to point out that Saudi Arabia doesnt give welfare to illegals, so the total number isnt as outrageous. Half the illegals in the US will self-deport if they werent eligible for benefits anymore.

And even if the welfare reform never pans out, its still a net gain for the royal Saudis. The most interesting thing in all this is the quasi-nationalist sentiment that deportations are inspiring in the people. Citizens are actually siding with their brutal police against the illegals during physical altercations. Any Arab Spring potential is pretty much gone.

Anonymous JJ December 08, 2013 4:38 AM

"Of course the Saudis can pull off something like this. In the west, our Jewish overlords would never allow it."

Its funny about American Jews' position on illegals since Israel 1) built a border fence on the Egyptian border 2) built a detention center to house all the illegals they round up 3) passed a law that will prosecute anyone who give jobs to illegals, including politicians and 4) signed a deal with Uganda to take all their African illegals (none of whom are even from Uganda) in exchange for significant discounts on weapon purchases.

Say what you will about Israelis, but they know how to maintain their country. Its a great four-step plan any nationalist can get behind. But its depressing that if the US or any European country tried to implement it, we'd all be accused of being the second coming of the Third Reich.

Mass immigration is not about the pill but about the Jews destroying European nations and the WASPs in America so that no nation ever again will threaten their world hegemony of control!

That is it in a nutshell.

Europe did NOT start immigration until Jewish media influence used the Holocaustrinity (the holocaust is a religion to the Jews) to beat guilt into Europeans to adopt mass immigration to prove that they are "politically correct" and that nationalism is evil.

The Jews need the end of nations. It is part of their theology of messianism.

Adolf Hitler was right about the Jews. The Jews are exterminators. They were exterminators in the Old Testament and they are exterminators now. Marxism/Communism/International Socialism is a genocidal ideology. Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin all called for the genocide of reactionary peoples. Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Kautusky, both Jews, reiterated the destruction of nations as necessary for Marxism to work.

The 1964 Immigration Act was authored by a Jew and Judaized Gentile by the name of Ted Kennedy. Jews want the death of all European people as national groups!

There is were mass immigration comes from.

Angola can place restrictions on Islam. Nations can be Islamic republics. Saudi Arabia can assert sovereignty, deport foreigners.

But the West maintains the mantra of all religions are equal; and secularism is a holy cow, untouchable in any way.

Problem is, religions aren't equal. Multiculturalism is saying about Jesus "There's nothing special about you". And secularism is like counting clouds.

Mass immigration is "Divide and conquer".

Mass immigration is about destroying national homogeneity in order that the nation can NOT operate homogeneiously. No longer will a Nation like Mussolini's Italy or a Hitler's Germany rise up and dismiss Jewish control over their countries. Hitler failed because you were all deceived into attacking him. Now, you are under your Jewish Overlords and there is no escape.

America can no longer act as one unit because it is now Balkanized into ethnic, gender, and ideological groups. One must have a "black voice", the "Hispanic voice", the "Asian voice", the "Islamic voice".

Mass immigration is about destroying racial homogeniety so the group can NOT act as one and get organized over a single topic.

Multiculturalism might make sense if truth weren't a precondition to every dialogue. But it is. You talk, write, listen, engage because truth is assumed to exist. Even if neither of "us" has it truth is assumed as existing.

Cognitive dissonance is failing to either fully acknowledge or completely dismiss either of two mutually exclusive claims.

The fact Islam is untrue should be deeply and profoundly disturbing. Any society basing itself on the irrational and incongruent has to fail somewhere. The fact the West is failing nearly every where shouldn't come as any deep surprise.

1: Japanese young adults tend to be avoiding sex altogether.
2: From Wikipedia:In 1948, Japan legalized abortion under special circumstances.[5] Eugenic Protection Law of 1948, made Japan one of the first to legalize induced abortion. This law was revised as the Maternal Body Protection Law in 1996.[6]
Currently, abortion is widely accepted in Japan. According to a 1998 survey, 79 percent of unmarried and 85 percent of married women approved of abortion.[7] According to researchers at Osaka University in 2001, 341,588 legal abortions were carried out in Japan, a 2.5 percent increase from 1998 to 2001.[8] However, in 2007 the figure had decreased to around 256,000.[9]
Perhaps that information will be helpful to you.

The implications of convincing born Americans that the American dream is dead are far reaching and dangerous, economically, freedom wise. If we were to round up all our immigrants in the US, we would be left with baby boomers, powerful progressives, and entitled young Americans living in their parent's basement. It used to be true? And perhaps it should be again? Today however, our leaders have made such a mess of it, that supply and demand hardly apply anymore. Because of taxes, Obamacare, and the rising cost of goods, people simply don't want to work. Who wants to work just to support the Gov and their spending habits? We now have record breaking disability claims, record breaking food stamp use. It's not that Americans can't get jobs because immigrants are hogging them all, it's that Americans are not use to having so much of their income confiscated by the Gov.

It is funny that no one challenges my assertions. No one wants to jump up and demand references. Well, I will beat you all to the punch. From the Blog "Age of Treason":

QUOTE: Via Daily Stormer, Douglas Rushkoff: "the thing that makes judaism dangerous..."

The thing that makes judaism dangerous to everybody - to every race, to every nation, to every idea - is that we smash things that aren't true. We don't believe in the boundaries of nation states, we don't believe in the ideas of these individual gods that protect individual groups of people, these are all artificial constructions and judaism really teaches us how to see that.

In a sense our detractors have us right, in that we are a corrosive force. We're breaking down the false gods of all nations and all people because they're not real, and that's very upsetting to people. END OF QUOTE

Proves my point. I have other quotes from different Jews saying the same thing but since my computer is down with a broken motherboard, I can't access them.

The Jews smash things. They are deeply critical. They criticize everything thus creating "deconstructionism". As JJ points out above, the hypocrisy of the Jews. In Israel, they protect their Zionism which is actually "National Socialism" while they attack any European that espouses the same.

They are Hypocrites. They will always be Hypocrites. Why any European will talk with an unChristian Jew is beyond me. Their Father is Satan and always will be.

Kratman is correct. I've spent time with the saudis training their special forces and living among their people. Herding goats is perfectly acceptable as is supervising slaves. This has interesting ramifications in their military.

The foreign workers seem to be utterly shocked to discover that they have no right to remain (and work) in another country, after being ordered to leave. It does not matter if they have kids that were born there, or if they have joined the local Rotary Club, or if they coach little league baseball every summer, or if they attend the local Baptist Church. What might be called determined roots in the community does not change the fact that they are a foreign citizen, with no rights to remain in any country other than their own.

But it is not necessary to be as autocratic as the Saudis. (I rather doubt there are that many testes in all of Washington.) Since Americans like to vote, put it on the ballot and make it a national referendum. Or much simpler, adapt the Swiss model to the USA. In Switzerland, everyone in the village gets to vote on whether a foreign citizen can remain in their village or be deported. Or simpler still.....enforce existing US immigration laws.

(And that, boys and girls, is the problem: Refusal to comply with established Federal laws, even to the extent of suing individual states, who attempt to follow the exact same laws.)

I believe you underestimate the proportion of illegal aliens who would self-deport, given the proper (credible) incentive. I would expect perhaps 90 to 95 percent would self-deport under the right circumstances, so we need only think in terms of tracking down and transporting 5 to 10 percent of the illegals to prison or the Mexican border.

we are going through a reform in Saudi arabia (transforming to a modern society) We are building 6 economic cities with high-tech infrastructure (built by highly trained Saudi technicians) and also we are building 11 new industrial city . all these city will employ Saudis with good salary and good lifestyle. we also have scholarship program ( only sends students to the best universities in the world ) with the goal of sending 500 thousand Saudi (men and women) in that program. now as for our plan to deport Illegal residents well, it goal is not 2m (heh! this is the number of the Yemenis only who will be deported) it's WAY WAY WAY more than that. it's not just about jobs it's about our national security , these people are more likely to be Involved in radical Islam and terrorism (Take the example of Osama bin Laden he NOT from Saudi origin, but Yemeni) , also other crimes such as murder, robbery,....... Almost dominant by residents. it's hardly Month and a half since the beginning of the campaign, and guess what? Crime dropped 43 percent in Mecca alone! Crowded cities is not a problem anymore. Day after day, the streets become safer and safer with the decline in the residents number. even diseases like AIDS dropped

I feel grief for America, our best allies, for what's happening in America. between the stupidity and sectarian of Sarah Palin and the "I want you poorer and weaker Obama style" Without mentioning the lobbies.

I know you deserve better, I do not consider America western, America has it's own civilization that evolved separately from Europe by brave Americans. it's ideas is universal in it's heart. they may won this time but in the long term American idealism will win.

I also feel sad because I have become reluctant about investing our money (3-5 trillion $) in America economy after the Obama administration deal with Iran and the media anti-Saudi circus ( Iran executed forty something Kurds in the past few weeks, it's a country that some of its citizens get stoned to death - Saudi Arabia did not stoned anyone in a long looong decades.) Because I know I do not want to be part of the America idealism enemies who dream of an weaker America. but from where we saudis stand America today doesn't seem good or healthy ... I hope that America rise for it's idealism before that we have to change our supportive investments of the American economy. I hope that you'll be aware that the large number of immigrants equal to high rates of crime and vandalism of public services and it take the IQ of the nation down. closed your border with electric fence (and a minefield to face drug trafficking if this is necessary) Do not listen to these hypocrites humanists, there's no thing human in carrying disease and crime to your own countries , make a good law that allows the election of immigrants who will add to the country and wont become a problem for you. be free and pro-liberty and equality and don't let some Christian sectarians control your politics.

and I encourage you to be skeptical about the bad news you hear about Saudi Arabia, Most of them are not true made by groups that support the communist Bashar al-Assad and his allies like Iran spreading among ordinary dupes.. yes we have our own problems, but we are working very seriously to solve all of it.

it began years ago we building these cities (it's a continuous process) yesterday was an auction sale of land in one of these cities. all the land (more than 100 land) sold within 4 hours. we have 250,000 Saudis (Men and women) studying in the best universities in the world. , we're building a network of railway trains that will link the new cities and other Saudi cites (and not just the cities, will link Saudi Arabia, UAE,Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar) some of it like the North South Railway ( A 400 kilometres (1,491 mi) long railway) is 90% done by well paid Saudi engineers. the biggest financial center in the Middle East is almost finished , so yeah as I said we are very serious about our reforms.

jobs that are 'menial' will provide a nice comfortable lifestyle. Not lavish, but comfortable. There was a time in the US that a 'menial' job provided a little slice of ownership, a good lifestyle, and a few years of retirement before you died.

The desire for ordinary cogs in the economic machine to have a sliver of ownership is something the conservative/liberty factions have trouble understanding. They’re blinded by rabid anti-unionism and/or devotion to free trade.

Several significant factors contributed to the loss of standing an opportunity for the menials. We’re not going to roll technology backward. But we can address the oversupply of lower-skilled labor. Both by immigration policy and by shifting social expectations away from women as workers back to women as mothers.

Who will speak for Ralph Kramden?

The Dutch started importing African slaves at Jamestown.....150 years before the Revolution. What the Founding Fathers did was STOP the importation of African slaves after independence was won. Washington was born in 1732, more than a century AFTER African slaves were sold on these shores. Is there no end to fake history?

Probably because time is a zero-sum entity. People have only so many breaths in our lives, so we prefer to spend them on engaging with intelligent commenters -- even with those with whom we disagree -- who have intelligent arguments and points and who do not resort to the idiotic conspiracy theories du jour.

Anonymous Samuel Scott December 08, 2013 3:22 PM

For the conspiracy theorists here.

The human brain is very adept at creating spatial and other connections where they do not actually exist.

If a brain is predisposed to worshiping Mary, then those devout worshipers will see an image Mary in a slice of bread or those other places where the image supposedly appears.

If a brain is predisposed to thinking Jews / Roman Catholics / Random Group of Choice are responsible for all of society's ills, then that person will see such connections in events.

If a brain is predisposed to thinking that government is evil and constantly conspiring to hide its evil deeds, then that person will see conspiracy behind 9/11 / the Newtown Massacre / Insert Event of Choice.

Actual, proven "false flags" are extremely rare. Yet some people see a "false flag" in almost every news event. It's a symptom of paranoia. I used to cover government when I was a reporter years ago -- and government is nothing more than a collection of fallible human beings, many of whom I knew personally. Government is nowhere near competent enough to pull off "false flag" after "false flag."

It's cognitive dissonance. Extreme libertarians seem to believe that government is both extremely inept at doing any well and also the most evil, controlling, and corrupt entity on the planet. Both cannot be true.

Anonymous Concerned Rabbit Hunter December 08, 2013 3:48 PM

"I used to cover government when I was a reporter years ago"

That explains a few things, then.

"Extreme libertarians seem to believe that government is both extremely inept at doing any well and also the most evil, controlling, and corrupt entity on the planet. Both cannot be true."

So, you find it hard to label as evil a government that is so inept that it puts vulnerable children in the care of abusers?

Interesting blinkers you have there.

So the question would be: Does nationality trump religion in this case. Given how Muslim nations (even when the same sect) view and deal with eachother on a regular basis, and that India and Pakistan have an especial hatred for one another. Costco membership aside, is not hard to imagine everyone in the room not wanting to be friends.

"Also, Hindi is the national language of India, Hunduism is the religion some were referring to."

Alright, Hindustani then - the language/religious/national group within India that likely has the most enmity with Pakistanis; one is English and one speaks English, etc. In any case, nationality was the main point.

@ Samuel Scott,// W,.....Wheeler

It has largely been a self interested Jewish lobby that has propagated convoluted multicultural fantasies.

Jewish lobbying whether consciously intended or subliminally driven has sought to weaken and divide any competing groups

The reasons for Jewish antipathy to Christianity are glaringly obvious but still to be abhorred for their naive oversimplifications and reactionaryistic push into Utopianistic idealism.

As for "proven false flag" operations. If they are "proven" they are no longer false flag by definition. They are simply "black operations". Staged events to rally support, justify costly interventions or sway public opinion. When something is proven it no longer is a "theory".
What collapsed WTC7 is a theory and unless you have sworn depositions from those involved it shall remain a theory. What hit the pentagon is a theory.

I know that I don't know! I also know that Moses is right, Muhammad is wrong, and that most people cannot differentiate between commonwealth and communism.

Pragmatism is what works - everything else is useless Utopian daydreaming and or dangerous oversimplifications. "Elite" opinion is, it seems, more often than not, just moral relativism's stupidity in application.

TWS. I worked for close to a year in Saudia. They very much separate skilled from unskilled and separate along ethnic and religious lines. ie. they intelligently discriminate - to their own advantage and why shouldn't they?

A skilled Filipino would earn a quarter of what a skilled European doing similar work would earn. But in their own nations a skilled Filipinno will be earning a tenth of what a European earns. So where is the discrimination? It is in reality.

Arguing that all observed patterns are simply random and that no one should put any stock in them is a typical belief of the modern age. While it is true that sometimes people can be fooled by randomness, it is not true that patterns should be treated by default as random.

The main purpose that people seem in to have in trying to debunk conspiracies is to prevent other people from noticing patterns and connecting the dots.

Yes, but that's been quickly picked up by SS, medi, and state L&I, unemployment, sales tax, property tax, etc, etc. Not only are Americans having more of their income confiscated, the cost of goods has skyrocketed. Today in the US it is far more profitable to go on government assistance than it is to work.

And what would help increase wages? Perhaps reducing the supply of labor?

Anonymous paradox December 08, 2013 7:34 PM

Oh... good grief... The "conspiracy" is how an event is spun for political power. How many times has an AR-15 been blamed by CNN for a shooting? Yet the weapon turns out not to be an AR-15. In this case, the conspiracy is to help Obama pass an assault weapons ban.

Also standing down with prior knowledge of a "terrorist" event is also a false flag event. Churchill allowed the bombing of Coventry for a strategic advantage.

If a brain is predisposed to thinking Jews / Roman Catholics / Random Group of Choice are responsible for all of society's ills, then that person will see such connections in events.

This predispose thinking would also include political ideologies... and a close knit Hollywood ethnic group... is predisposed to favor one particular ideology. It's not so much a "conspiracy" as it is a consensus.

Hi TWS,

they are filled with negative feelings towards foreigners because of their crime rates and the ridiculous pressure on public services (streets, transportation ... etc.) and for that fact that most foreigners in Saudi Arabia are illiterate in their native language! having said that, yes Saudis separate skilled and unskilled labor in their minds but as the majority of them illiterate makes it difficult to note that.

For example, if you're well qualified American or Canadian engineer or doctor or Language teacher etc who wants to be a resident..., you'll see different world in Saudi Arabia, because you will be able to enter into the world of Saudis by reaching out to Saudis, they'll be more open to accept you into their social circles, Because we as a society where about 40% are foreign residents, we almost closed our social circles to Saudis only.

but yet we also know the difference between the Saudi product/work and non-Saudi work/product. For example, if you want to buy a villa or a house or want to rent an apartment. You must know who supervised the construction? Is it a Saudi? Because the last thing you want to buy or live in is a house is built by (For example) the Philistines, their construction is very, very bad.

I like the East Asia workers, they work according to the schedule, they have worker camps. they are very well organized you won't have a problems with them. I like most of Americans and Some of the Europeans, because they try to be part of our social circles, they are mostly clean, they don't cause damage to the public services, and again, they try to be part of the community (with the exception of some of them preferred to stay at home throughout the period of his stay in Saudi Arabia, playing Play-station after work! ) You can have a decent-Intelligent-intellectual conversation with them without religion being part of the conversation.

now these ridiculous massive numbers of residents was done by some of the groups that have been rejected by the Saudi people. like the Yamani bin Laden family, yes they got the Saudi citizenship, but have not been accepted by the Saudi people.

so what did they do? they tried to flood the country with residents, To get more money (through the exploitation of the illiterate foreign residents) and also in a silly attempt to create political problems for us saudis, like Muslims come here with high expectations from us, they want us to help their countries to get out of Poverty and we tried to do so, we have built schools, universities, roads, hospitals for them , we even send them Saudis doctors&surgeons for free annually -with the royal air medical Fleet- to do some complex surgical procedures. but what did we got in return? if it was nothing I'll be fine with that but no! it was worse than that, they blame us for everything, everything! they call us wahhabis and they say we support terrorism in their countries ! and they call us "American puppet" Because of our historic alliance with the United States since President Roosevelt.

do you know what is more villain than that? they want us to sacrifice our lives in God's name or Islam for them, to solve their problems with their tyrants, and if a saudi did that they'll take his name and tell the world :"see, we are not terrorists, they are. now you can deal with us or with these lunatics" that happened in Palestine.

this is why Saudi Arabia this year banned all foreigners from boarding the mosques Minbar in Saudi Arabia, prayer must be led by a Saudi. so they could not incitement to terrorism anymore, and this is why saudis have more financial control since 11 September to make sure that these wicked Families (like bin Laden) are under control.

oh, did I mention that they want the "return of the Caliphate", little did they know; our ancestors fought against the barbarism of the Caliphate, our ancestors sacrificed thousands (men and women) to liberate themselves and us from these barbaric regimes .

Saudi royal family understand this, and understand our feelings about foreigners. This is one of the reasons of why we launched the campaign to reduce the number of foreigners to less than 20% (so 2 million is nothing compared with what will come after getting rid of illegal residents), the royal family know that we are the only when that can remove them from power so they listen to us carefully and we respect them in return.

enjoy your day.

Geert Wilders wasnt the only prominent Dutch nationalist. Pim Fortuyn was another good one, arguably greater than Wilders because he was gay. Yes, there was a gay nationalist politician who spoke out against immigration, multiculturalism, and Islam. This of course made the cultural Marxists go ballistic, as all their counterarguments are identity politics, and you cant decry a homosexual without it rebounding on you. So in the end, he was assassinated by a white leftist nutjob. Tragic.

So if anyone tries to bring up the supposed "tolerance" of the left, you just casually ask them about Pim Fortuyn.

I do not know anyone who has had an experience that would justify calling the Saudi police brutal. The male non-Saudi menial workers describe the ordinary police as polite, helpful, honest, and quick to respond when they report a crime. Naturally, I have never talked with female workers in the kingdom. The female professionals from third world countries with whom I have talked do not complain of police brutality. Saudi policemen do not look like recently released ex-convicts like so many American policemen. Although there are donut shops all over the kingdom, I have never seen policemen in any of them.

Does this also mean that, if one is predisposed to thinking that he is being persecuted, one will see persecution in any act or word that may simply happen to be contrary to one's interests?

Sam, my friend, the problem with aligning too closely with group identities is that one will be held responsible for the failures of the group to police their own ranks. Sometimes, you just have to separate the wheat from the chaff. If you are seen to not do this, or worse, to actively hide the chaff under the grain, then the group falls under suspicion of harboring undue amounts of chaff amongst the grain.

PhillipGeorge(c)2013,

my grandfather hosted Lawrence for a week or so, during the revolution against the Ottoman Caliphate. he also was an ally of Faisal. about Muhammad and Islam you don't need to be sorry, I'm an Atheist for five years by now. Saudi Arabia has the largest proportion of atheists in the Middle East (5% of the population according to a 2012 poll by WIN/Gallup International .

I have negative feelings about Mohammed and Islam. probably you do not know, but many non-Saudis Muslims have religious beliefs about the slaughter of Arabians in the Arabian Peninsula as a sign to the end of time that they'll slaughter Arabians Because they have become disbelievers/infidels and to bring their Mahdi to life - The majority of Arabians do not believe in the Mahdi, many Saudis and Qataris scholars deny the Mahdi. so yeah I'm worry about their religious fantasy about slaughtering us. non-Arabians Muslims have history in doing that.

Mohammed destroyed the society of Mecca; it's tolerance towards religion (he destroyed over 365 statue ,there was more than 300 Arabian Christians -painting of Jesus and his mother was inside the Kaaba -, al-ahnif, Aldahryan and so on) , sex, etc..., he destroyed the political system where no king only Judicial Council and another Council to discuss political affairs (war, peace, trade protection).

I don't blame the British to stand against the people of the Indian subcontinent, especially Muslims they have a serious problem with their religious egos , Take Pakistan, the word itself means "land of the pure". as for the non-muslims well, they'll will impede the industry economy, and they'll push the country to the economy of import (just look at Britain to understand my point of view). Without honesty, there is no civil society. they need to solve their problems.

Late to the party:

Demographically, allowing large business to take over the food supply, between WWI and WWII, is probably the single biggest thing that screwed the food supply. The decline of the small and medium sized farm, and the resulting drive to towards mega-farming, has destroyed countless fertile farming communities.

There are other reasons. For one, if you have five sons (which was common in my area) not all of them can farm. Often the smarter ones go off to school, and never come back. The brain drain in rural areas rivals the inner city in places. Where I grew up, the ones who started the towns named them Utica, Attica, etc. The town inscriptions were often in Latin or at times Greek (in Nebrasak no less!). Three generations later, those places are gone. I left myself, because I could not expect to feed my family, or even have one, if I stayed. So where there were five farms, there is now one.
