The troll's new target

It seems that Mr. Marston, aka Yama, Clampps, Arachnothera, Will le Fey, and a plethora of other pseudonyms, has now taken to vandalizing the Quantum Mortis Wikia in his copious spare time.
18:49, December 25, 2013

Welcome to the Quantum Mortis Wiki

Nobody's ever going to read this piece of shit.
Thanks to Wikipedia, I'm accustomed to everyone in my private life knowing what I do online. The trolls, however, are not, and I've learned they really don't like the people in their daily lives learning about their online activities. So, as promised, I'm gradually going to bring every banned troll's online activity into his real life. Each time a troll shows his head after being banned, I will disclose one more piece of personal information about them.

As you can see from his IP address, 72.93.116.138, Andrew Marston lives in Marshfield, Massachusetts. He works at a wildlife center, which is why he uses bird names for so many of his trolling identities.

No hate, merely shining the light of the well-documented truth. And after my mistake with equating Phoenician and Scott Lynch, I'm being much more methodical about confirming these things before publishing the information.

This moron has a wiki entry on some game forum warning about his stalker tendencies. Good that you outed him, apparently others have also and caused him to scurry away to hide under a rock.

Anonymous SWW December 27, 2013 9:01 PM

Vox, perhaps this is obvious but the IP assigned by the ISP is where the ISP is but not necessarily where the user's computer is. Could be quite some distance.

A link to the obituary for Albert P. Marston of Marshfield, MA, who died Jan. 29, 2013, at the age 72. "Contributions in Alberts memory may be made to the New England Wild Life Center." Not sure what it means in light of your blog post.

Fake identity? Or family?

Blogger Markku December 27, 2013 9:35 PM

We know his parents died recently. I think it was a traffic accident, but I could be wrong.

As you see, Vox has learned the lesson, and digs much deeper now, to avoid future cases of mistaken identity.

Anonymous kh123 December 27, 2013 9:35 PM

Written apparently by an admin after banning him:

"...his creepy wooing of several female members was quite short-lived. Once said members grew tired of vapid and out-of-context text passages in their journal comments, they would quickly lost interest (in a matter of minutes in some cases) and either stopped talking to him or banned him from their journals.. his modus operandi would immediately become the "betrayed friend who wasted his time on you". If this had happened once or twice, a naive soul might fall for such tripe but this was an occurrence with EVERY SINGLE SOUL HE CROSSED. Of course, he doesn't care about the boards, so he mentions them and members he despises every chance he gets. But he's not obsessed. PINKY SWEAR."

No mention of wardrobe breakdowns. Color me doubtful.

Anonymous ApolloK December 27, 2013 9:40 PM

I hadn't looked very closely at the wiki until a few minutes ago. The ads are unbearable, shifting the text all around the screen to the point I was having trouble reading, and then a full-screen add out of nowhere and I closed the browser in frustration.

There must be a better place for QM information...

(The books were a very fun read, and I especially liked near the end of AMD when the augment quotes Luke 19:40 - pure awesome)

This is why I have supreme respect for our gracious host -- a man who has never hidden who he is and is willing to publicly stand behind his words, often at great personal expense.

It is also why I comment, both here and elsewhere, under my real name.

While I (sort of) understand the need for annonymity, and can well understand the personal risks that may be incurred by those who have families to support and are at very real risk of offending their employers, how many history changing words and memorable writings have ever been attributed to "annonymous"?

I have people who's association with me could put them in the unenviable position of, if asked, having to admit they know me. Thank God most of them are retired or getting there. However, I always try and make sure VD and others I contact can easily find out who I am in correspondence. It's just good manners if you want to talk to someone you make sure they can check on you. After all, I'm going to them, not the other way round. However, Mr Marston is rude and shows a total lack of manners every time he's here. I've never seen VD try to out anyone... except the most vile trolls.

Anonymous Phil Mann December 28, 2013 12:56 AM

The important difference is this: The trolls here simply parrot the politically correct party line. What danger is there in doing so? Do any of them risk being fired, ostracised or worse for agreeing with the TPTB? Why, then,do they hide behind pseudonyms?

These cowardly trolls launch their attacks under the cover of anonymity while running little, if any, actual risk. Contrast that with Vox and some others, who might actually have something to lose.

Not only that, but he is positively incensed that Vox likes them, too:

"Alternate title: Why I Want To Punch Matthew Bellamy.

This is why: Vox Day likes Muse. I once said I knew a few nice Muse fans. Here's the thing, Vox Day is such a

I'm glad bird-boy got outed, but given the nature of his species, I wouldn't be suprised if he puts on the victim cloak, claims he recieved death threats and tries to have you shut down.
The left have all but lost the internet debate. Their talking points have been dissected to the point of ridicule, (racisssss).
It's no secret they are targeting speech on the net using the victimhood cloak. Just look at "cyber-bullying" and how they glamourize teen suicides to push for restrictions on speech.
It's always about the chilren.

Oh hell, now that you posted that DA link, and he linked to his own livejournal… Hell, I’ve run into this freak before. He’s banned from my LJ, along with the journals of several other authors I know. He’s a crazybad nutcase stalker.

Tom Kratman
November 9, 2013 at 10:35 am
Oh, I’ll bet he’s not a real nutcase. You know how we’ll know for sure? Well, the left assumes that I am an exceptionally well trained violent sociopath. (That’s mainly because they’re stupid.) I have yet to see one make an adverse comment about me or my writing if I knew that person’s address. Since I now know chlamydia’s address, if he does continue with comments we will know he is insane, and if he does not we will know he is at least somewhat sane, within his own rather odd frame of reference. He shall, of course, be unharmed no matter what, since violent sociopath or not, I would never deprive the world of its entire supply of captive beads of brilliant golden sunlight…nor all those sequiny, velvety, Liberace-esque survival suits.

Blogger Doom December 28, 2013 6:44 AM

Bow-wouch. Remind me not to relentlessly try to bite your ankle. I disagree, but... try to be reasonable, mostly. Then again, I suspected... you know much. Thankfully... I know you don't know all. Paper work, even sworn affidavits, mean little. There is only so much some, even those who know, will tell. And dead men tell no tales at all. Wealll, most of them.

Anonymous p-dawg December 28, 2013 6:48 AM

Anonymous VD December 28, 2013 7:38 AM

I wouldn't be suprised if he puts on the victim cloak, claims he recieved death threats and tries to have you shut down.

He's certainly welcome to try. As I mentioned, I have put together a dossier of his activities here and there is no shortage of his documented activities harassing other sites. I have them for a few of the more persistent anklebiters.

And my resources are not limited to simple online searches. The thing is, I'm pretty lazy. So, if someone actually stirs me to action, I don't stop until I'm finished with the matter to my satisfaction, mostly because I'm irritated that the moron wouldn't permit me to simply continue ignoring them. I'm always a little amazed that anyone would go out of their way to piss off someone who is known to have close connections that range from the tech world to federal prison.

Blogger Kate Paulk December 28, 2013 7:57 AM

He's really not that smart. He likes to think he is, but all that's really there is insane persistence and an opinion of himself so inflated he doesn't need anyone else to think highly of him.

While I enjoy playing with trolls over on the Mad Genius Club (I don't play whackatroll on other people's sites without the owner's permission), dear old Chlamydia just isn't that much fun. He's not clever enough and thinks his little one-line non-sequiturs are put-downs. There's no there there.

I'll be following the progress of the take-down with evil delight (and cackling. I'm a female of a certain age. Cackling happens).

Anonymous VD December 28, 2013 8:18 AM

I don't think he understands that I am even more persistent than he is. I simply haven't paid any attention to him. I tend to doubt he will enjoy drawing my attention any more than John Scalzi has.
