Bomb-makers in Minneapolis

What used to be known as the Ghettos in the Sky are now the center of Mogadishu on the Mississippi. And the Somali population in Minneapolis has already contributed suicide bombers to Al-Shabab in Somalia as well as mall attackers to the same group in Kenya. So, the mysterious recent explosion in the heart of Somali Minneapolis should be a matter of more than a little concern to Minnesotans, as it indicates that the Somalis are likely to bring their jihad to the Mall of America or some other local target sooner or later.
A big explosion occurs next door to a mosque that has an unabashed affection for the Muslim Brotherhood, in a Somali neighborhood where terrorists are known to hang out — what could possibly be amiss with that? Nothing, except possibly an Islamophobic hate crime, according to CAIR.

Zuhur Ahmed, a board member of the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said the group was monitoring the situation closely. “So far we don’t have any details,” she said. “But whenever there’s an explosion, fire or anything of that sort by a mosque, there’s a little bit of concern if the motive is a hate crime. We’re just concerned and watching out for that.”

But then, CAIR always believes that the best defense is a good offense. If it were a gas explosion, the normal process would be for gas to accumulate inside the building until a chance ignition detonated it. Under those circumstances, the walls of the building would be blown outwards, causing a sudden, catastrophic collapse of the structure and filling the street and surrounding lots with bricks and rubble.

Nothing of the sort occurred. The earliest photos show an intense and rapidly-spreading fire that looks like it originated on the second floor, immediately above the grocery. This would be consistent with the unexpected detonation of an explosive substance — say, ammonium nitrate, just to pick a random example — which then distributed very flammable material within an enclosed space, creating a flash-fire.
The explosion was subsequently blamed on a gas leak, which is interesting because the Star Tribune has been caught lying about its conversation with the gas company responsible.
I contacted CenterPoint and spoke with Rebecca Virden. I’m glad I did because as you’ll see in a moment, there’s some very bad reporting going on with this story.

"Our distribution system after we checked it — which runs up to the meter, which is the distribution system’s responsibility, to the meter — has no leak on it at all. We tested that system and it holds its test. We even took it apart and tested it to make sure because it had no leakage. It’s fully sound. As for our system, we had no leakage, no leak history, no leak calls into our call centers prior to the incident before, during or after."
Throw in the fact that Homeland Security was spotted on the scene and it points to the probability that the police and media are covering up the explosion of a Somali bomb-making factory in Minneapolis.

No doubt they will have learned from the Kenya attack, too. As cynical and horrible as it is, I expect the next attack on American soil, whether it be in a mall or not, to be much worse than the Kenya attack.

What is it about university campuses that cause them to become lunatic magnets? This neighborhood, Cedar-Riverside, at the edge of the U of M west bank campus, was the center of "leftist/hippie" culture in Mpls. 40 years ago. Looks like only the players have changed.

The MOA has always seemed like a prime candidate for this sort of attack: soft target, center of commerce, significant number of people who will be directly affected, along with proximity to the attackers. It has been years since I have been there, but since soon after it opened the MOA has had a noticeable Somali workforce, particularly in the janitorial and food service areas. The opportunity is there; and, as evidenced by the mall attack in Kenya, the idea and the will to carry it out are also there.

The proximity of CR to the Music School at the U is a big reason why we strongly dissuaded daughter from studying there. It was a shithole in the 70s when my dad lived there while on TDY at Control Data, it was just as bad in 1981 when I started at the U, and it was bad when I was there last year.. Maybe it would improve if a bomb completely razed it.

What are Somalis doing in Minnesota?

I understand what they are doing in Africa.

I'm puzzled by their presence in the United Arab Emirates, though they are Muslims.

But why are Somalis present in significant numbers in the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the United States of America, Canada and Australia? Is there anything that most of these countries have in common? (OK, it's no secret I have a theory on that.)

But how did these Africans get here? They're not noted as wealthy, articulate, highly networked internationalists, the kind that can find a way in anywhere.

If someone else is putting them and a lot of other non-whites in our countries, what is going in with that?

First, it's not a friendly act, because the way Somalis act is an open book by now.

(According to Wikipedia: "Somali Australians are active in the nation's cultural and political scenes, having also contributed significantly to local business." That might not be the whole story.)

Second, this comes with a price tag that would deter non-aggressive people.

If I had control of the borders of many nations, so that I could move myself and others around as I pleased, my first thought would be to keep any bad actors from using the same loopholes, so that nobody would have a strong incentive to regain control of their borders. That way, I and my closest, best-behaved friends could always get to where big profits were to be made and we could always get away from trouble. As a fairly non-aggressive person, that would be enough for me; I would not want to screw up my sweet deal. This is definitely not the master plan or the temperament of "the lords of open borders".

Third and finally, isn't it impressive that this happens in plain sight but is still an impermeable mystery? I mean, we have all these famous Western traditions of the free press, the open society, vigorous enquiry and so on. Yet here we have a significant pattern of global movements, highly costly to the targets that the Somalis are moved on to (which would be an incentive to find things out), yet to the piffling extent that the press is curious about how this comes about, in each country it attributes things to local politicians and local conditions - which simply can't be right.

And after that, an Orwellian "crimestop" takes over.

Amazing.

Will Best: "How many schools do you think refugees would need to take out before the left even started talking about perhaps tweaking the immigration laws? I would take over 3"

I don't know. I'm just impressed at how insensitive to potential local reactions are the people, whoever they are, that are providing behind-the-scenes assistance for lots of Somalis to appear in a collection of countries where with one exception they are out of place in every possible way.

It looks to me like the lords of open borders are in a tearing hurry to get this job done; they don't care who goes where or how badly they fit as log as it conforms to the overall plan; they want to build "the inevitable future" yesterday; and they think any aggrieved local reactions can be suppressed and silenced, at least enough, and for long enough.

Nov 18, 2013

SAN DIEGO—Basaaly Saeed Moalin, a cabdriver who was convicted by a federal jury of providing material support to the terrorist group al Shabaab, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey T. Miller to 18 years in prison. Also sentenced at the same hearing were Mohamed Mohamed Mohamud, the imam at a popular mosque frequented by the city’s immigrant Somali community, to 13 years in prison; and Issa Doreh, who worked at a money transmitting business that was the conduit for moving the illicit funds, to 10 years in prison.

The men in our party got great service; the girls, not so much. The sense of contempt was palpable. We found the polar opposite of Scandinavian Minnesota that day, and it was right in the middle of our biggest city.

Maybe because they're a constant reminder to the goyim why they should hate Muslims. It also may have something to do with the long buried fact that Mpls was the anti-Semitic capital of the US in the 1930s and 1940s. You can verify that with a little googling.

2. Premature detonation by incompetent Muslim suicide bomber.

Anonymous Credo in Unum Deum January 17, 2014 12:56 PM

I can guarantee you that somewhere in America (right fucking now) an elementary or more likely high school is under surveillance by a group of Islamic terrorists. They are driving by, they are learning the times the students arrive and leave school, they are looking up information about the teachers online, they are looking into the nearest police stations, and the police response times.

They will pick their target, and they will do what barbarians have done since the dawn of human civilization: They will kill the men, and rape the women and girls.

All of you with girls at or near high school age: Imagine her being held down and gang-raped at the point of an AK-47, while you're outside her school, helpless to do anything because if you charge in, the barbarians detonate bombs they've strapped to their chests.

Despite the physical strength of teenagers in high school, they are not mentally nor psychologically prepared for that kind of an attack. They are not prepared for their lives being in mortal danger. In Columbine, the police had to rip the students off the walls who were frozen in terror and couldn't understand the instructions being yelled at them.

Instead of football, basketball, or other high school sports that in my opinion lack practical real-world value, they should be replaced with weight-lifting, mixed martial arts practices, as well as force-on-force exercises with simunition, with firecrackers going off at the same time to simulate loud gunfire that could one-day save their lives.

Can't do that in today's politically correct world though.... If an airbag didn't deploy correctly, or if a fire extinguisher failed, heads would roll and people would be marching in the streets.

But heaven help if you give kids the means and the tools to defend themselves.

Beslan was a dry-run for what they want to do here in America.

In late 1997 or early 1998 there was an apartment in Brooklyn that "mysteriously" exploded. The news coverage was mixed. I was living in NYC at the time & I only remember the original story about it happening. I don't recall anything about why it happened showing up in the news. A quick search on IxQuick did not return the story. But I do remember this happening & the neighborhood where it happened caused me to take notice.

That link is about a bombing from 1970. And Greenwich Village is in Manhattan, if I remember correctly.

Part of my reason for bringing up this particular bombing from Brooklyn in '97-98 was because it sounds very similar to the apartment explosion Vox mentioned in the original post. But unless you were living in NYC or paying particular attention to these kinds of stories, it is very likely that you never heard anything about it at all.

It is difficult to know how often these things happen in places all over the USA, because it is only talked about on local news & very seldom explored in depth at the local level. It especially gets swept under the rug if one of the protected class is involved.

Five people were injured when an explosion ripped through a two-story apartment building on Sunday, sending a huge fireball over this bedroom community.

Investigators initially suggested that a bomb had caused the blast but said today that a buildup of natural gas might be responsible.

''At this time it's hard to tell if it was a bomb or a natural gas buildup,'' Lieut. Tom Spencer said today. ''It's unknown at this time what happened.''

The FBI probably sent an unsolicited copy of "The Anarchist's Cookbook" to someone in the building, hoping to score some public "We got a terrorist!" as they do about every year.

More seriously, there is proper suspicion, and there is due process. One can think it unwise to allow the Somali to come here (much less grant citizenship), but it is a graver evil to simply label them all as terrorist in the vain hope that such a label will cause their deportation.

First seek the truth. Sometimes the star misleads. But not always.

tz: "One can think it unwise to allow the Somali to come here (much less grant citizenship), but it is a graver evil to simply label them all as terrorist in the vain hope that such a label will cause their deportation."

No it isn't.

It's not a question of a Somali here, a Somali there, a Chechen here, a Chechen there, and nations not being changed. It's a matter of mass non-white immigration into all white countries and only white countries, plus forced assimilation, which is a set of policies calculated to destroy the Indo-European genotype, in whole or in part. That's genocide.

And (in a "murder and jaywalking" argument) we know that many of the population groups being poured into white countries really are disproportionately likely to support terrorism and other big crimes.

I'm not in favor of falsely labeling all Somalis as terrorists in order to keep them out. That would be untrue, a bad tactic, and unethical.

But overheated anti-immigration rhetoric is not a graver evil than genocide and terrorism.

Laguna Beach Fogey: "Demographic displacement via mass non-white immigration trumps homeland safety."

And homeland safety trumps the Constitution.

The NSA has to spy on everyone all the time because there is this huge security threat, and the borders have to remain open, and it's safe to leave them open because there is no real security threat.

There's a scale of values here, and mass non-white immigration is at the top of it, and the American Constitution is at the bottom.

As for the "security issue", that is just rhetoric, appealed to when it is convenient and ignored when it is not.
