Broken and lesser beings

You may think that we exaggerate the craven wretchedness of our enemies. You may think that my boundless contempt for the r/selected, Larry's muscular backhands for his craven adversaries, and John C. Wright's withering scorn for the wormtongues is fueled by either a) a sense of offense at being opposed or b) an oversensitivity to criticism.

It is not. It is fueled by our clear-eyed view of what these creatures are. It is our awareness that they are, like the soul-destroyed abhumans roaming the Night Lands, broken and lesser beings who seek to pull others down into the mire that torments them.

By way of evidence, consider their own words about themselves. Here, for example, is Damien Walter:
I was 30 and, by any measure, deeply unhappy. I’d been pushing down a lot of horrible emotions from a damaging childhood, grief from many losses, and had trapped myself in a life I didn’t fit in to from a desperate need to fit somewhere, anywhere. I had no kind of spiritual practice at all. I was a standard issue atheist, and any encounter I had with religion was edged with inherited and unexamined scorn. Consequentially, I really had no tools to process the pain I was feeling. Today, my argument with the radical atheist rhetoric of people like Richard Dawkins and Daniel Dennett – both of whom I had read heavily at university – is that it leaves the bulk of its believers utterly amputated from their own emotional reality. It certainly had me. I was miserable, and in trying to escape from the causes of the misery I’d driven myself, repeatedly, to the borders of emotional collapse where I had, at long last, collapsed.
This is why they preach equality. This is why they preach tolerance. This is why they seek to disqualify and destroy those who stand above them, immune to the manifold terrors that haunt their empty chests. They are damaged people, broken individuals, fallen souls.

They live lives of lies and self-deceit. They lie about others; they lie about themselves:
I am by nature a non-political person. I tend to see both sides of most arguments, and there are merits and faults with any position in any political debate. Extremism is always wrong. Beyond that, who is right is mostly a matter of your tribal, partisan allegiances.
No doubt that is why he didn't link to Larry's piece he was criticizing and why David Barnett intentionally and admittedly evaded The Guardian guidelines in his hit piece aimed at me, lest I defend my position in a convincing manner.

But no matter what lies Damien and his broken kind tell, they will find no comfort whatsoever in confronting the likes of Mr. Corriea and Mr. Wright. They will find no peace through confronting me. They will find nothing but emotional collapse in this lifetime and damnation in the next as a result of their rejection of the Way, the Truth, and the Life that we do our feeble best to serve.

At least Damien has taken one step forward in abandoning the intellectually bankrupt world of the radical atheist. He knows there is something else out there. But he is still caught in the soul-sucking mire, he is still lost in lies and desperately lashing out at the likes of Larry and me in a vain attempt to find fulfillment in the approval of those he foolishly seeks to emulate.

But he will not, because there is no fulfillment to be found there. There is none to be found in telling lies, in making-believe, because even if he manages to convince others of his falsehoods, he will never be able to convince himself that they are true.

What Damien does not realize is that our strength, our being whole, does not come from within, but from without. The Earth-Current flows through us; we are empowered by the Master of the Master-Word. It is not enough for a man to reject the nonsensical teachings of the self-proclaimed wise, it is necessary to repent and to humble himself before God, after which he can stand again, washed in the sacred blood of His Son, unafraid, unbowed, and unbroken.

This cannot be overemphasized.
They would own you. They would kill you as they kill themselves through their religious fundamentalist Coercive Third Party. They would ruin you as they have ruined themselves. In my encounters with atheists and/or anti-religionists I have noticed a common attack point (the tribal alliance comment got me thinking). They want Christians to know that their group is nothing more than a pointless gathering with no purpose.

I have had a year-long email discussion with a gentleman who took offense to an article I published in a small Lutheran publication last year (which took issue with the ELCA's decision to ordain homosexual pastors).

The point he keeps coming to is summarized in his statement to me a few months ago, "Don't you know that the only reason people come to your church is to see their friends and drink coffee? They don't care about God or Jesus and they especially don't care about you."

Disqualify, disqualify, disqualify.

Oh, sure, I get a bit put out with it. Somewhat my mistake, and I understand that. These aren't turds I have to deal with, so I see them as lesser to my worldview. And, while that is true, I do understand, when I stop and think about it, just how dangerously nasty these fucks are. So... yes and no. While the BLM and feds are a serious physical threat to me, mine, yours, theirs... they are predisposed by the very people you are warring against. Words, first, have poisoned much. So... yeah, I get it. When I stop to think about it.

I went to the Damien Walter link, just felt bad for him, a truly pitiful creature. I suppose my first instinct is to try to pull someone like that up, out of the mire, if they refuse, leave them as I found them.

I don’t know, sometimes I get a sense that your scorn and contempt is a cover for something, otherwise one would meet a wretch like this with simple pity and indifference, a child throwing mud balls, sure no one likes having mud thrown at them, but when you look over at the child covered in dirt, unloved, and lost, anger quickly fades and all that is left is pity.

But, to be fair, perhaps the damage they wish to inflict is far greater than throwing mud balls.

Damien seems like a navel gazing confused wreck to me.

I think it has quite the civilizing effect. Your response is degrading, no matter how it makes you feel like the better man. To irritate Taleb (by probably misquoting him): there is an ethical duty to identify fraud when you see fraud. I take it a step further: good men have a duty to kick the fraudulent at every opportunity, preferably in the back. Their mouths are loaded and on hair triggers, after all.

I just began watching AMC's Walking Dead. So far, no obligatory fealty to LGBT or making just over half the cast black.

I like it. I watched the entirety of Breaking Bad, because, similarly, there was no obvious pushing of prog ideology.

Which equals Hard Core Extreme Ultra Uber Right Wing, to the real progs.

I just finished BB, and decided, okay, AMC is cool then. I have not been disappointed in the first three episodes on this count.

Normally I won't even start watching a series unless it's already complete. I don't want to experience Heroes or Stargate: Universe again, ever. SG:1, Atlantis, and Babylon 5 were well written, with (although using "story arcs" in the case of SG:1, definite beginnings, middles and ends.

The trend is awesome, and I love it. Amazon is, I've heard, producing new, original content. Lillyhammer and House of Cards on Netflix.

The trend I speak of is the new media. Making the alphabet networks look like the propagandists they are, by simply making GOOD STORIES.

Taqiy- So far I really enjoyed Lillyhammer. Steve Van Zandt is entertaining taking another turn in the Sil Dante character, plus interesting scandanavian cultural humor, with a lot of intriguing character made it a hit in my book. After the gap between the first and second seasons I went through all the new episodes practically back to back. Breaking bad I started watching at the beginning and really didn't care for it, but later I revisited and really got into it. Same with The SHield. After it ended I watched the first season and I was hooked. Each season has a great arc, and it's well written. I'd say even moreso than SoA.

Non-believers who may be atheists and take up Asian religions should get real. Many Asians mimic the various religious rituals, but that does not mean they have a religious understanding of such practices. They don't waste their time meditating as meditation takes away their time for making money, which is what Asians really want. Westerners that make the sojourn to learn about these things like Walter is a sad case. I wonder who has sponsored this indulgence. Perhaps the trip to the cheap Asian locale makes it bearable. EPL is such a romantic notion and quite lonely actually.

That was me at 25. 'Christianity' seemed like just another form of Megaglomcorp. Because then it was Jim and Tammy who when they got exposed the late Jerry Falwell swooped down to take it over. Then the outright craziness of Pat Robertson.
That soured me on religion altogether. Took many years to accept those 'carnies' do not represent Christianity.

I grew up in non-denom churches, graduated to Assemblies of God churches, did mission trips in Destroyt, MI as a teenager, and after my 20s and 30s insanity with LSD and hippiedom. I came back to find that AoG had become Benny-Hinn-ized. and had taken their beliefs and ran of the goddamn end of the earth with them.

I've not tried to find a church since.

Barnhardt has me leaning toward a Tridentine-Mass-practicing diocese, though.

I downloaded Mr. Hodgson's 'The Night Land' and am torn between starting it before finishing your master work. Probably best to finish Awake then Mr. Hodgson's forerunner. In fact, I downloaded 4 of his novels and 22 short stories. Amazon had them for a paltry .99. Can everyone say amazing 'bargain'?

almost more importantly, it shows in detail HOW THEY OPERATE.

tonight, a cop, Tony, has demonstrated AND EXPLAINED IN HIS OWN WORDS exactly what he was doing. how he was manipulating people, how he was stabbing them in the back, how he was INTENTIONALLY CREATING CHAOS so that he could achieve something in a direction that no one in his alliance was looking.

even better? Tony is one of the ones who stabbed the OTHER cop in the back earlier in the show.

Tony's one great problem is that he's too much of a sociopath. pretty much everyone else has identified him as the source of the chaos and lying ...

which is what happens when people spend a lot of time in close proximity to a real sociopath.

There is a further horror. They are not "lesser beings". They are the monsters which the willful fallen - spiritual suicide jumpers - are transformed into. Vampires and werewolves and zombies are unmen, but are stronger than the real thing, being freed of morality. And equally infectious with.a desire to transform people into a fellow monsters or destroy those immune to the infection.

Maybe you think Asians only as in China, India or Thailand.
Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hindu, Buddhist, all of these religions started in Asia. So the religious practices such as meditation, solitude, fasting etc. reflect Asians' religious tradition. It's not the other way around.

One nice thing about the Night Land is that it shows us that there is A LOT of time out there. Time gone by or to come, makes no difference. So, almost everyone posting on this thread, or reading it, did not exist in say the year 1950. Let us imagine the whole group - the blog host, the liberal victim of his parents' atheism who is being criticized for his unfortunate meanderings in an evanescent newspaper, the humorous commenters, the gifted writers, and the rest - standing around in a large badly lit basement in1950. The basement is incorporeal and no-one has been born yet. Each and everyone of them, however, has some idea that each of the rest has been created by Jesus, who loves them all - equally. (no we were not created equal but we are loved equally). The bravest of those pre-born critters who will later be US, the gifted ones among us who are willing to go out over the trenches first, into the harshest fires the enemy can throw at us, motivated perhaps by the charity that made Jesus smile when he saw it in the widow who gave her mite, motivated perhaps by simple kindness or simple bravery, or a simple sense of humor and trust in God, volunteer to be born to the people who are most like the parents of the liberal anklebiter. So that, as an act of love, they could make sure their friends in that 1950 basement would not have to make that terrible sacrifice (of being born to anklebiters' parents). Because that is the type of choice those pre-born critters of 1950 had to talk about. Think for a moment what a sacrifice so many of those who now (in 2014)seem so pathetic had made, in this scenario! Years and years as a sad child stuck in a home under the rule of the type of person who produces the anti-Christian pro-abortion anti-Semitic progressive losers who are trying so hard to rule the media and to criticize lovers of the freedom written of in the Bible ... Years and years knowing that you have chosen to run, (for the sake of others who, in this world, do not respect you, and feel something like a justified contempt for you), to run, I repeat, a greater risk than your critics do of never knowing on this earth the love of the Lord! And why? Well, maybe to understand just a small part of the Bible (but an important part). Judge not. Love your enemies. Revenge is mine (and not yours), saieth the lord. I know 1950 is a long time ago (I once I drank a sherry that was a few years old in 1950 - it was very good) and that almost nobody reading this was in this world then...

Taken separately then. First no one not Vox, me, or anyone has suggested to you have to submit to 'the man you're feeding'. His skin color and religion are irrellevant but you do hate white Christian men. Well any men honestly but you harbor a special hate for them. You believe you have an enormous iq because somewhere some test popped at around 140. Either the test was inaccurate or hatred has poisoned your reason.

So because God simply does not meet your approval you hate him and blame him for your loneliness and isolation. You're too smart to bend your knee to a God that doesn't say you are the same (or better) and have more masculine virtue than any man. That scented water is certainly filling your life with purpose and joy.

First leave VP and don't look back. Your obsession is twisting your soul. Second, it's not always about you. I believe you know there is a God you simply choose to disobey out of pride and petulance.

I am not wishing you any harm in this life or the one to come. I understand why there must be a hell. Souls last forever. There must be a place for souls too damaged, twisted, and filled with bitter hate. And it must last as long as those souls. God does not offer eternal torment. People choose that, choose it because they simply cannot abide heaven cannot give up pride. What kind of foolish pride sees a slight at dinner to be related in any way to refusing to eat at the feast God has laid before you? I have prayed for you and will continue to do so.

He also admonished sin and led by example. You can love your enemy but also correct him when he needs it.

We can also love our enemy (if one defines infidel and his like as such), as we love ourselves. Although we love ourselves, we don't always like what we do or what we say. We give ourselves the benefit of the doubt - we wish good things for ourselves even in the midst of the awful things we do from day to day. As we join the disicples in sleeping in Gethsemane - we hear the clear command to love our enemies as ourselves. The clearest manifestation of this love becomes that filthy word we call forgiveness.

Filthy, becasue if we're honest - we must confess that we in fact hate the practice. We love the idea of forgiveness - we don't even think it is something we cannot accomplish - we just don't' like applying it to those we find unappealing. We can apply the "forgiveness love" to ourselves even when we don't like what we do - we should therefore strive to apply it to others. That means wishing them good, hoping for better things for them - even when we condemn what they do and say.

Given your personality type, is it difficult for you to find and/or stay with a church? I know what you probably wouldn't look for, but not what you would.

Maybe I'm thinking about with the idea of "finding" a church. So many people I know use the word, but it sounds rather silly now that I've thought about it.
