I do. Week 2 was the perfect example of how not to employ an effective two-kicker strategy...I left Dan Bailey on the bench!
Yes, I'm discussing kickers. No, I do not want Kluwe for the next commissioner.
Also, Nick Foles had a great game...plus one end-of-the-first-half-wing-it-60-yards-as-time-expires-because-who-cares-and-it-might-work-out interception.
Fantasy football cares, that's who, Mr. Foles! The Gamma Rays lose by the margin of Foles meaningless INT on the last game of the weekend. JartStar, on the other hand, played the lineup like a fiddle (Texas Chili Eaters.)
Meanwhile, in the MFL, the Birmingham Lynch Mob take Adrian Peterson in the first round.
Maybe we can start a Fantasy SJW league. You get 1 point for every time your SJW is mentioned in the NYT, WaPo, Atlantic etc., 3 points if video of them is shown on CNN/FOX/etc., and 6 points if they write a NTY/WaPo etc column or are a guest on a TV news show. Think of how exciting it will be! Well, okay, maybe not exciting, but think of how socially responsible it will be!
I will talk football
I know all eyes are on the Den-Seattle game, but it just doesn't even make sense for Denver to win this one. Non-conference away game. The only way to win in Seattle is to hold the Hawks to 17 points, because you aren't scoring more than 20 there. Denver hasn't managed that against inferior teams. The games I am most interested in (outside the Bears) this week is AZ vs. SF, but I won't get to see it because its going to get the regional treatment.
Lions vs Packers game should be interesting. GB struggled out of the gate to get its offense going, and they were saved by the timely collapse of the Jets including complete blunders by Rex Ryan and his OC.
The Bears are better than the Jets, but the game has me worried
(1) Second road game (2) against a non-conference team (3) coming off a massive ego boost from a road win against a team that has made it deep in the playoffs 4 years in a row (4) with our best DT out with a concussion against a team that will have no choice but to run. No wonder the Bears are the dog in this. Then again I watched the Packers game and either Geno Smith is very inaccurate or he doesn't have very good communication with his receivers. Should be solid opportunities for the Bears D, who while cannot stop the run is averaging 2 picks a game.
I have been pleasantly surprised with the Bears D this year. The Linebackers are still crap but at least the line is getting pressure on the QB which is leading to turnovers and being able to get off the field occasionally. And while 2 games is too early to claim success, our first three draft picks (CB, DTx2) look highly promising long term, which is more than can be said about our defensive picks the previous 2 years.

Yes! How dare Atlanta pull Matty Ice this week near the end of the 3rd quarter. He should have 33 points not 23. And think of what it did to the guys who played the Falcon's D. If Ryan had stayed in it probably would have been 70-0. That would have been 7 more points for them.
I have gotten the sense from a few media comments that they are hearing from a lot of people who are saying "shutup and talk football".
Hopefully the hashtag movement to end Pinktober will have some effect also.
"Then again I watched the Packers game and either Geno Smith is very inaccurate or he doesn't have very good communication with his receivers."
Geno's a young quarterback, so he's going to be inconsistent. He leans on Decker, and once Decker went down, the offense stagnated with a receiving corps among the NFL's least accomplished. Green Bay also shifted their defensive line alignment in the second half, and for whatever reason, it flummoxed the Jets.
Go Jets! Will, if I could, I'd bet you a Randolph and Mortimer Duke $1 bill on the outcome.
How in the hell did we not kill Dalton on that throwback?
> Maybe we can start a Fantasy SJW league.
Unfortunately, Randy Moss and Terrell Owens are both out of the league. Is Pacman still playing for the Bengals?
...a Randolph and Mortimer Duke $1 bill
Looking good, Winthorpe!
At least they scored. Go Jaguars! To San Antonio, Toronto or Anaheim... please.
First an LSU loss, to Cow State no less, then FOX dumps the Saints for the Cowgirls. SJW-Illuminati conspiracy, methinks.

It seems to me the talent level of professional football can't really handle more than 30 teams. It would be nice if the NFL recognized this and reduced the number of teams by 2 rather than their current plans to add 4 more teams.
Way too much football in NFL. Thank you Roger Stokoe Goodell, for Hispanic Heritage Month.
my God the Titans suck.
Vikings' Matt Cassel (toe) out vs. Saints.
Wonder what he kicked - or did he shoot that foot?
Like a Bridge over troubled Water, I will lay the point spread.
Damn Nate, the Titans have no hope until week 6 :(
Just saw the news that Rob Bironas died. R.I.P.
Eagles-Redskins tied in the 3rd Quarter.
Knockem-sockem division football.
I love it. Fuck Goodell.
The Lions-Packers game has been a defensive slugfest. Did not expect.
^winner^
SJWs or no SJWs, the NFL is starting to suck anyway. The rules are so ridiculously biased in favor of the wide open passing offenses that it's a wonder that anyone ever manages to stop anybody.
Packers are not looking sharp this year. I hope that continues next week. And I don't think the rest of the NFCN can count on the Lions imploding this year, in typical fashion.
The Bears schedule is starting to look ridiculous this year. At least New England looks beatable if Oakland can hold them to 16 points.
Will Best: "And I don't think the rest of the NFCN can count on the Lions imploding this year, in typical fashion."
Alas, 'tis their wont. Especially since 4 of the last 5 games are against division rivals...they'll be lucky if they take 3 of those, but more likely only 2.
The Cowboys got a pick for a change, and just when they needed it.
Foles was blind-sided and is laying motionless on the field. Both teams are involved in a brawl on the sidelines.
Good job Denver
Will Best:
At least they haven't given up a safety yet ;)
It is looking like a Super Bowl rerun, err, rematch isn't it?
Oh hey, the Denver D decide it was going to do all the work. We have a game now.
So I guess a major part of running a fantasy football team now is to be familiar with the players' rap sheets.
Manning did his best Jay Cutler impression and threw the game away forcing a ball into triple coverage. Good job.
OK, tell me about the Niners game? Two friends in particular, who bet the big money, say it was fixed. Sounded to me like the Niners were just too aggressive for the new NFL, but since I didn't see it someone who's objective and not a Niners buttboy, help me out?
Peyton Manning's pick in the red zone may have ended hopes of a Broncos comeback in Seattle
"my God the Titans suck."
Maybe, but at least you're not a Raider fan. Had a beer with my son at a local Pizza Parlor and there was a table full in Raider Warpaint telling us about there hopes for next year. Seems early, but apparently they are awful.
Apparently Manning was playing possum for 59 minutes. holy hell.
ENthePeasant:
The [city name] Raiders are already in the running for most sucktacular AFC team.
I hope they cremated Al Davis.
Holy shit, the Broncos got it OT!
And the Seahawks win the toss, get the ball and get the TD.

They sound like typical forty-whiner fans to me.

It would be quite difficult to 'fix' an NFL game.
Quite a few players would 'have to be in on it'. So would at least a few refs.
All of them risking their NFL careers if they get caught.
For what? The gamblers can't 'outbid' the NFL itself. All the incentives are to play the games 'straight'.
I've joked about Ben Roethlisberger in the past ''Ben Roethlisberger raped the defense, ect.'' back then it was ''this is between Ben Roethlisberger and the legal system, the NFL is not involved''.
Today he would likely be out for the season.
Goodell has to go, what Pete Rozelle built this sjw asshole is destroying.
Saints, 49ers, Packers are 1-2, and the Patriots are an uninspiring 2-1. Did not see that coming.
The Cardinals being 3-0 is a bit unexpected, but not surprising.

Personally, I think Thursday night football needs to die a horrible death outside the season opener. However, if they are going to insist on this insanity, the competition committee really needs to implement a rule that there must be at least 5.5 days between when a team plays each conference game, and really it should be at least 6.5 days between divisional games.
I just saw the sack on Drew Brees where he got suplexed. Not exactly seeing where that is unnecessary roughness. Brees was clearly pushing up and forward in order to avoid being dragged to the ground. The defender just lifted him up and gravity did the rest. Also, how did Brees not get flagged for the late hit he delivered for offsetting penalties? Oh wait its because he is Drew Brees.

Senoirs moment......... file away for future commentary.
Apparently Manning was playing possum for 59 minutes. holy hell.
Brilliant drive.......can be reproduced. With natural Cialis.
And the Seahawks win the toss, get the ball and get the TD.
Because, with backs against the wall, they let loose their actual offense.... the whole league took note tonight and will adjust accordingly, if they can.
this might just be hilarious.
it appears that one of Goodell's bitches got fired ... for prosecutorial misconduct against men:

Absolutely. That's why they're called forty-whiner fans. If it wasn't for the refs, the whiners would have won at least five of the last three Super Bowls, or so I am told by fans of that club.

I don't know Will, sounds like you are moving into SJW territory.
If you can't beat no rented mule, what is the use of tryin' to make money.......you know,........... for the children.
Great NFL commercial: Grandma Viking Fan lovingly recalls how lifelong Viking Fan grandson became an Eagles fan to please his girlfriend.
What a warm fuzzy moment.
What a warm fuzzy moment.
There is a passage in Deuteronomy where it says that if you are fighting with a male foe, and his bitch grabs you by the nuts, you are fully justified to cut her hand off with your blade, and exhorts you to do so without mercy, or second thought.
How far we have fallen.
Will best:
Agreed. Other than Thanksgiving.
And only a Lions (early) and Cowboys (late) games.
No third game.
Yeah, that's a suplex.
A sack. The OL failed.
I can only say, please, make the bad man stop.
EN - The notion that the game was fixed is laughable. Your friends made a mistake laying points on the road against a tough divisional opponent that is now 10-2 over its last 12 games and very good in their home stadium. The Card's defense has been legit for several seasons, and this year there is finally an offense to complement it. I expect AZ to give Sea a real challenge for the NFC West title.
AZ should definitely be in the conversation of who will win the NFC West. The Seahawks didn't impress me all that much yesterday, they should have blown the doors off of the Broncos with the way the first half and start of the second went, yet it took OT to win the game.
Also amusing is the way that loudmouthed idiot Richard Sherman now shares all the sponsor revenue with Wilson, while it's Chancellor and Thomas that actually make the defense good.
LSU loss to my alma mater, Miss. State U., was a nail biter ending.
Texans .... sigh. Not the loss, it was how they lost.
