I have nearly the worst score every week... and yet I am 5-1.

***smh***

It's funny, people keep telling me the Cowboys aren't America's Team anymore yet they are and have been the largest grossing team in the NFL for decades. And I have yet to find a Mexican that was not a fan.

In the name of all that is Holy, Dale Jr's skeleton driving gloves are....pink.

I guess we can call this ''upset weekend''. The only game that isn't a surprise is Vikes-Bills, two teams that are well-matched in mediocrity.
Father time is really catching up to the Patriots.
OT: Pale Moon has stopped XP support.

Sammy Watkins just ruined my Vikings party...and happened to be on my opposing fantasy team today, ruining my chances at an upset.

Sometimes, you fool yourself into thinking that you have truly hit the spinal chord at the end of the Vikings gutshot. Then you discover yet another level.

Dallas vs NY isn't over yet.

On another note- Tom Coughlin has muy grande cajones.

Sorry, meant Jeff Fisher. Was still in Cowboys vs Giants mode. lol

Wtf Bears. Its week 7 why are the receivers blowing routes. And the HC now has 22 games experience. Why is his time management so god awful still. And run the damn ball on 3&1.

.........>>... I think we have to let go of the notion that a loss by Seattle on the road is an "upset". The Seattle defense has lost a step and those darn adaptable NFL defenses have adjusted to Mr. Wilson's roving ways. <<

Serious question, do you feel like last week was an upset at home?

Point taken, the Rams are a hard team to figure - one week they play like crap, the next they're competitive.
Kudos to the Cowboys, though they have yet to ice the Giants, they're playing like they could have at least 8 wins going into turkey day - that would make them the favorite to win the NFC Least even if they collapse in Dec.
And they haven't had a running game like that since Emmit Smith.

Dallas still had to pull off some pretty impressive stunts in order to pull off that win, and Peyton Manning needed to do the same to push it to OT. Its not impossible to win there, but you still need to play near mistake free.

I think Dallas is just that good, but Eagles have also recently figured out how to get their offense moving. Its kind of silly that they don't play until week 13.

You are not alone in that opinion. Several of the guys at the poker game last night said the same thing. Should make for an interesting Thanksgiving game- if I can stay awake after all the turkey intake.

LOL,always fell asleep about halfway through the 1Q, woke up late in 3Q-early 4Q.

I was at that Rams game. It was crazy. I had to watch replays online just to figure out what happened with that punt return for touchdown. The whole stadium thought it was on the other side of the field. And don't even get me started on that fake punt. My head nearly exploded.

I had to watch it several times as well.
That was awesome, in the past special teams were not as important as ''play in the trenches''.

Considering Seattle's schedule, the lack of playmakers on offense, and a defense not living up to the hype is it time to hit the panic button in Seattle? Looking at their schedule it's hard to give them more than 10 wins and that might not be enough for a wildcard, hell even 11 might not be enough this year with how well Detriot, GB, Dallas, and Philadelphia are playing.

Seahawks probably need to be 6-3 heading into arrowhead if they want a shot at the playoffs. Fortunately for them their next three games are against the panthers, raiders, and giants.

My Bears on the other hand need to go on a 4 game winning streak if they want to be in a position to make a playoff run, which unfortunately runs through New England and Green Bay, This is probably the earliest I have ever given up on the Bears playoff chances in the Jay Cutler era, but after going to the game and witnessing the mess they are in they won't clear 9 wins and that won't cut it in the NFCN this year.

"Detriot, GB, Dallas, and Philadelphia"

Care to forecast which of those is (or are) going to the Superbowl?

Not necessarily, if they win their division, they make the playoffs. Even with a 9-7 record.

Anonymous YIH October 20, 2014 3:47 AM

oops, I meant 7-9.

@Laz

Well I don't like to speculate on Superbowl picks this early in the season considering injury risks still to come over the next 8 weeks and the growth of young players and injured players returning. However, all things considered Dallas is playing the best all around football of any of those four teams and has been the most consistent team in their approach and execution over the last 7 weeks. Philadelphia is banged up on the O-line and their defense is suspect, combined with a team that has been a bit of a roller coaster in-game leads me to be dubious of their winning the NFC. Green Bay can't run the ball and A-Rod can't win games by himself come January, but I concede their defense has looked better of late. Much as I'd love to say Detroit, and that defense has been almost as much a revelation as Dallas defense has been, I just don't trust Stafford in the big moments as he has a tendency to force to many throws and stare down Johnson way too much, his penchant for turnovers is well documented. As for the AFC, while I'm an unabashed Patriot supporter the losses of Ridley and Mayo are crushing and I don't trust Gronk to last the season uninjured which means that once more the Patriots are to be defeated by Denver likely in Denver barring some bizarre turn of events where Indy, San Diego, or Baltimore somehow upset Peyton.
