VPFL Week 7

89 Mounds View Meerkats (5-2)
74 RR Redbeards (5-2)

76 Greenfield Grizzlies (6-1)
70 Gilbert Gamma Rays (4-3)

76 King (3-4)
71 Texas Chili Eaters (4-3)

79 Favre Dollar Footlongs (4-3)
56 Boot Hill Bogs (1-6)

62 Bane Cornshuckers (3-4)
33 Clerical Errs (0-7)

Quite the old school finish from the Vikings today. I really like Barr, the rookie linebacker who, with the help of a timely hit from Chad Greenway, stripped the ball and ran it back for the winning touchdown.

Brady and Gronk are having a nice practice run today.

Jerrick McKinnon looking nice since taking over for the leadback role from Asiata.

Don't know how the Lions continue to win. They can't keep hoping they pull it out at the end like this...they just aren't that good for it to keep working.

I'm going to have the best score of the year!!!

They only have to keep doing it until Calvin Johnson returns then their offense should, in theory, return to form.

I'll get last week's scores up in a bit. In the meantime, I'm watching the Vikes totally fail to provide Teddy Bridgewater with any time to throw the ball.
True, but against their old ''rivals''' the Sucs, at least they're still winning.

It certainly won't hurt. But if that was all it took, they wouldn't have gone 1-6 at the end of last season and blown the division. They had him then, too.

Adding Golden Tate was beneficial. Adding Eric Ebron was not. The coaching change seems to have made the biggest difference, as was expected. I just don't know if it will be enough; if they make the playoffs, I see another one-and-done.

I'm saying that adding Calvin Johnson will take their offense back to the level their defense is currently playing at, it's more than just him, but without him the ancillary parts have stepped up and played well so when he gets back this team will add its best player while already playing at a high level.

And they struggled to get to OT - SMH

but they win...

And win it by dumb luck.
I see the point that the Seahawks have lost a bit this year.
But my point about St. Louis stands, because this week they were the Lambs - who just got slaughtered by the Chiefs.

Bears' defense took the last train for the Coast.

Clerical Errors could conceivably win this week for the first time...while leaving the QB slot empty.

Anyone start Roth...Roeth...Routh...that Steelers QB?

Blogger YIH October 26, 2014 7:42 PM

I'm starting to root for the _____ Raiders to have a perfect season 16 losses and no wins.
Maybe they'd do better if they came up with their own playbook.

So Tom Brady must be one of those players who feeds off media negativity. Can't write him off, he just keeps coming back like some....non....giving up....football, guy.

He was a free agent in my league last week when I tried to decide between him and Joe Flacco for a pick-up. He had Indy coming up so I figured Flacco was a smarter bet.

I picked wrong. Very, very wrong.
