VPFL Week 12

71 Greenfield Grizzlies (9-3-0)
44 King (5-7-0)

82 Mounds View Meerkats (7-5-0)
76 Favre Dollar Footlongs (5-7-0)

75 Bane Cornshuckers (8-4-0)
52 Boot Hill Bogs (2-9-1)

85 Texas Chili Eaters (7-4-1)
73 RR Redbeards (7-5-0)

108 Gilbert Gamma Rays (7-5-0)
48 Clerical Errs (2-10-0)

The playoff race is tightening up, as only the defending champions look safe. Four teams are essentially out already, leaving five teams ranging from 8-4 to 7-5 battling for four spots. No one has a particularly easier schedule, so a lot of it is going to come down to head-to-head competition.

My Bears decided to pack it in on Thanksgiving this year. Sad state of affairs. It was nice of them to put Lance Briggs on the IR rather than just benching him the rest of the way. I suppose his first 10 years of outstanding service earned him that even if he halfassed it after Urlacher left. Got a lot of holes to fill again this off season. Mike, Will, both safeties, an RT, and a return man, but at least we will have 25-30 million in cap space to do it.

Egads. The Rams are murdering the Raiders.

As some of you have heard Ray ''smack my bitch up'' Rice won the appeal of his 'indefinite' suspension. He can sign now (doubtful).
But for EPIC LULZ, the SJW's are calling for Baddell's scalp!

My decision to start the Vikings DEF is looking pretty good right now. Not one, but TWO blocked punts for TDs.

They got treated like Sparklepunter in a gay bathouse.

Can't believe romo was projected to get 20... and actually got -1.

Can't believe a -1 QB team is still going to knock me out of the playoffs. Freaking Jordy Nelson and the one week I decide to bench Julio Jones he actually catches a ball in the end zone.

Tony Homo is no Jay Cutler, but by God, he tries.

So I picked up the Rams defense this week on a hunch...

...and forgot to put them in, with Detroit Defense going on Thanksgiving...

13 points vs. 43 points

Might cost me a spot in the playoffs. Lol.

OT, this is a comment for your latest alpha game post. If you had read the link you would have realized that the study used BMI as a measure. BMI is a fucking ridiculous measure for men. According to BMI any man who lifts a weight is suddenly overweight. Nearly all footballers are categorised as obese.
If I remember you said you were 5'9 and 175 when you had that sixpack photo taken you posted a few weeks ago. Your BMI, at that time, puts you into the overweight category. On the other hand you could weigh 125 and still be considered a healthy weight.

The study is flawed because most normal men are a few pounds into the overweight BMI category (which is normal weight for any man with a larger frame) and every man who works out falls into the overweight category. Many bigger guys (who have a lot of women) fall into the obese category. What the study is really doing is comparing underfed, scrawny nerds, vegans and hipsters to all other men.

"Freaking Jordy Nelson and the one week I decide to bench Julio Jones he actually catches a ball in the end zone."

Dont blame Jordy. Blame Keenan Allen and his 18 points... or... blame me. I'm the guy that picked up Keenan Allen yesterday and played him

BMI is only useful in a macro-sense. It is nearly useless for most men and athletic women.

"It is nearly useless for most men and athletic women"

Its useless for men and women who work out a lot a lift. But those people don't need BMI.

It is perfectly useful for most men. As most men are fatasses.

I got rid of Kendall Wright for Julian Edelman and Wright goes and has his best week of the season?

I don't get these Titans, Nate. And they suck.

Also, I will support an LA-based team, but shit me the Raiders brand is taking a fair whack. At least it's embodying the values of Oakland: Losers supporting a loser team.

Blogger Nate November 30, 2014 11:07 PM

They do suck Jamie. They really do.

Mettenberger may turn into a very very good QB though.

But yes. In general.. the Titans are the worst team in the NFL right now... and this particular squad is the worst to ever wear the Titans uniform.

FavreDollarFootlongs have now beaten 1st place Greenfield Grizzlies twice (2 of their 4 losses), but have twice as many losses directly resulting Brees/Rivers INT's. So close....

How can I get invited again next year?
