Comment champions

One of Blogger's flaws is that its comment management tools are crude to the point of being nonexistent. So, as part of Operation Yama, our elite team of trollhunters has created a tool that permits the datamining of Blogger comments in order to accurately document the full extent of the cyberstalking that has taken place here. In addition to providing us with a complete list of his trespasses, the tool also helped us identify two of Yama's identities that had previously gone undocumented.

Interestingly enough, it's also allowed us to see who left the most comments here in 2014. The winner, with over 3,000, was Nate. The top seven are as follows:
  1. Nate
  2. Josh
  3. Markku
  4. Bob K. Mando
  5. Tom Kratman
  6. James Dixon
  7. Jack Amok
The updated cyberstalker list:

Yamamanama, Dan Picaro, Andthestarshine, Kasa the Wicked, Nikola, Alauda, Arachnothera, Beardsley McTurbanhead, Chokley Carmichael, Clamps, Comrade Questions, Daphis, Daphnis, Freddy Foreshadowing, Luscinia, Luscinia Hafez, Starshine, Sunlight, Will, Will leFey, Yama, Yama the Space Fish, Count Bullets-ula, Lilacanddatura, Phoenixwing667, Darkprophet667, Ciconia, inimbe karu ava, and @Pure, Impure.

Oh, shame
Is it difficult?
If you got something to say
Say it to my face
Don’t be a little bitch and put up a front
Did you really think you could fuck with the evilest rap girl in the whole planet
And get away with it?
Oh, shame
No it doesn’t work like that
What a little delusional asshole
You’re so fucking stupid
I see right through you
I can see you scared
And a scared man is not a pretty sight
Oh, shame
Run little scaredy cat

Just a thought. I wonder, if based his screen names,is it possible that a profile might be produced to new stalking names? After all his blog names must have some reason to be and could be an insight to his personality.

Blogger James Dixon January 01, 2015 5:20 PM

Wow. I know I read a lot of comments here, but I didn't think I posted enough to get anywhere near that high on the list. I don't expect to match that this year though, given that so much of my time is being eaten up with my commute to and from work.

The contents of his comments are more revealing than his names. I found one of his aliases by googling for a quote from one of Vox's stories that Yama likes to cite as being particularly bad. This is not his only data-minable tic.

My guess as someone who has done dirty database addons it not trailing off and is catching Natem with Nate and counting both "Nate" and since Natem isn't Nate" " it doesn't reciprocate, or something similar is going on.

Sugartits in 2014:

"NO HYMEN, NO RING"

No never answered the widow question sugartits.

Where does the bible say widows should not remarry?

---

"Tell me again how you figure you are the vanguard of Western Civilization?'

Do what?

Sugartits... that's not a title Nate has ever self-applied.

---

"Yes you would, and yes you are. "

Sugartits... there is a little town not far from where I live... there is a sign just outside of that town that says "Nigger Don't Let the Sun Go Down on You Here."

You have no idea.

---

"What does that have to do with VD's proposed authoritarian solution? Are you an "ends justify the means" kind of toady?"

How is it authoritarian? The State has the power to tax sugartits. The NFL attacks a state directly why shouldn't the state defend itself?

As always... you're obtuse to the point of self-parody.

---

"No "projection" here Big Bob. You are the one who seeks potency spouting off in the ether. To each his own."

Potency?

Sugartits... I am who I am. You're free to investigate for yourself. Plenty of folks around have met me and know me. Just because you and porky have little fantasy internet lives doesn't mean everyone does.

---

"Oh my gosh. Guess they have to spend the rest of their lives miserable or get a divorce because everyone instantly has the most amazing sex from the wedding night on. Everyday. No matter what."

No sugartits. We're not talking about "not-amazing-sex". We're talking about screaming "pervert!" and slapping you... running away and throwing a lamp at you because you copped a feel when you were trying to make out with your wife on her wedding night.

---

"And more people are covered than ever before, we are back to under 7% on unemployment, countries are actually determining their own future for a change instead of military invasions, overall economy is slowly stabilizing."

Bzzzt. We have no idea if more people are covered or not sugartits. We know how many have enrolled. But coverage doesn't start till you actually pay the first premium. We also have no way of knowing how many of those who have enrolled had coverage before.

So like a typical leftist... you're just pulling statements out of your ass.

---

"Nate, do you wear a balaclava when you shoot off your bike?"

I don't shoot off a bike sugartits. I spent a couple days falling on my ass trying to learn to do so. When I say the first dozen times you try to draw you're gonna fall on your ass... I know that from experience. it was only the last few hours that I managed to actually get a aimed shot off and it wasn't until the very end when I finally hit the silhouette. at that point I thought, "HA! I DID IT!" and promptly decided ending on a high note was best.

Ever tried to do something others think can't be done?

or ya to busy whining about sports on the internet to actually challenge yourself?

"5. Tom Kratman"

So recently I finished "A Desert Called Peace", then immediately bought "Carnifex", finished it last night, and am now reading "The Lotus Eaters".

*shameless fanboyish gushing follows*

Absolutely fucking brilliant books. I was pleasantly surprised that Carnifex is even better than the first one.

And that ending? Awesome is a horribly overused word, but awesome applies here. Awesome with a nuclear-powered fist the size of an aircraft carrier. Armed with a knuckleduster made of depleted uranium and the tears of terrorists.

If Mr Kratman's books were people, they'd be like Chuck Norris after testosterone injections, and they'd beat the living shit out of other mil-sci-fi books, then sleep with their wives. And they'd smell of Old Spice and good Scotch.

I am (hopefully) preaching to the converted here, but if you haven't read Tom Kratman's Carrera series, get "A Desert Called Peace" - it's currently free on Kindle.

If you like your military sci fi epic and brutal and so page-turningly engrossing that you happily sacrifice a good night's sleep just to see what happens next, you will love it.

Just felt compelled to share this with you guys, because I'd never heard of Tom Kratman till I stumbled across this blog, and his work deserves to be a lot more widely read.

It will surprise no one to learn that Whiskey, standout author John C. Wright, Ann Morgan, and the blessed Wheeler are way up high in that ranking. Dread gets honorable mention, but might have won if I could remember all his aliases.

Anonymous kh123 January 01, 2015 11:07 PM

Would have figured the corporate polymath, resident Canuckistani & Quebecois on the list. The LP. Dread would've topped it not all that long ago, with The General not far behind. Stil and V (now with two i's).

Up to... what was it, more than a year ago... it would've been the Slough of Shrewish Vulgarity. That show's continuing by the way, sans comments. Is pretty entertaining. "OVER 500K!!!".

...Can't help but hear the "over 9000" voice on that last bit.

We all suspected Andrew spent most of his time pushing buttons, after all.

No, that would be the umbrella drinks

I like umbrella drinks, but I leave out the tiny umbrellas. Despite having a pirate heritage, I don't like eyepatches.

Who's Nate

He is the guy who just won the chatty cathy award for Vox Popoli for 2014 and had to watch his Red Tide turn into a neap tide while falling to Ohio State. All this after having to watch the Tennessee Titans suck all year. Meanwhile, his inflation predictions are falling on hard times, so to speak. Being a Neo-Confederate Libertarian (to some) he disrespects Yankees, which is understandable.

But he is Nate, dammit, and you gotta respect that he is not afraid to step up to the plate, even though he takes the odd beanball once in awhile.

Where is Nate at huh... where's Nate huh????? so much for the SEC triumphalism I guess you can take that idea and wipe your ass with it. See take an SEC team and throw them into a tourney meat grinder less a cupcake national title game and overhyped BCS rankings and they get crapped out like everybody else imagine that!

I might also add that Ohio State
should not even be there I was in Happy Valley for the Penn State and witnessed that highway robbery first hand. Enough said.

Oh, I should take this opportunity of making the Sweet Seven to thank Vox (and Markku) for providing such a worthwhile place to squander my time. Er, I mean, practice my rhetoric.

Seriously, good job guys. Lesser hosts would have been pulled down by the cretins by now.

Nate was down in the bowl thread congratulating harsh and the other osu fans. Go see for yourself.

Really was a poor game.. Both coaching staffs did some really dumb things. Hard to watch. Osu earned it though. No doubt. I wish bama would have run the ball instead of letting Sims make a fool of himself... But it is what it is.

Thank you for indulging my curiosity, both in the SQL and the verbosity report.

The results, in retrospect, are not surprising in the least.

Nate, there is a My Chemical Romance song called Kiss My Ring. I promise its not beta but might sound beta to men.

Congrats gentlemen.

Thumbs down to anything Ohio.

As a terrible idea, practical joke I once interviewed for some kind of software company. I added SQL to my skillz. Had no idea what that was, didn't care! Still hired and later fired.

I like Nate, hes pretty cool aside from the whole "we need to burn all non-Catholics at the stake" thingy... or was that the other Nate?

Anonymous Stilicho January 02, 2015 11:03 AM

Hey, Tom, happy new year. I've recently read your essays on training along with your everyjoe columns. Good work. I understood all of those principles and practices when I was a young corporal and so did all of my peers. We'd all been through boot camp, but we'd also been in long enough to have completed some rather rigorous advanced training and seen its application in combat. My study of the subject and understanding of the issues certainly expanded during officer training, but the principles and practices remained steadfast. I expect Marius' mules (or at least their centurions) understood them as well. Why then, in the name of Baelzebub's brass bollocks, does the top brass constantly undermine those principles and practices, apparently for the sake of denying reality? I can understand a field grade officer keeping his head down lest he be disposed of before earning his pension, but Flag officers have no such excuse. Is the chance of an extra star worth selling your soul? Worse, is it worth sacrificing the lives of your own troops for?

i would have gone for Ann Morgan as the SoSV. but, bwahahahahahaha, the PoxVay blog has been taken down.

http://poxvay.blogspot.com/

it's pretty damn sad when you can't even do well enough on a hateblog to even bother abandoning it. no, PoxVay was so intellectually insipid and embarrassing that it had to be deleted.

good job, Social Justice Whiners!

Thanks, Stil. You and yours, as well.

There's almost nothing in Training for War that's new. Indeed, I'm not sure any of it is new. My contribution is in framing principles that everyone tacitly understood, or, at least, everyone with a claim to being serious about training troops understood, but which, AFAIK, hadn't been put together and articulated before. Eventually, I'll turn TFW into a book with more detail and more "how to."

I think most of them sold their souls along the way and have nothing of soul left, Stil.

Now you know the joke with TFW? One of the more important factors in bringing the Army out of the post Vietnam sewer (to a lesser extent the Corps, but the Corps, too) was a book by a retired Army three star named Collins, entitled "Common Sense Training." It's still valid, but a little dated.

I didn't figure this out until well after I became a training fanatic, but Collins first overseas assignment? Ft. Davis, Canal Zone. My first overseas assignment? Ft. Davis, Canal Zone. We were both 10th Infantry Regiment (albeit at wildly different ranks). His home town? Boston. My home town? Boston. His high school? My high school? Boston Latin. Personally I found that belly splitting.

That just shows how clumsy SQL is. The way this query SHOULD read in any sensible and practical language is:

SELECT Pseudonyms FROM Dread
