Immigration as weapon

Still convinced that immigration is not invasion? Greece is rather convincingly threatening the use of immigrants as a weapon to hold Europe financial hostage. Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos said:
“If Europe leaves us in the crisis, we will flood it with migrants, and it will be even worse for Berlin if in that wave of millions of economic migrants there will be some jihadists of the Islamic State, too.”

European Union finance chiefs are currently debating whether to continue a bailout plan, with Germany a deciding vote.

“If they strike us, we will strike them,” the official said. “We will give to migrants from everywhere the documents they need to travel in the Schengen area, so that the human wave could go straight to Berlin.”
It's a brilliant move, hanging the European Union on the gallows of its own rhetoric about the sanctity of the free movement of peoples. In one fell swoop, Greece can rid itself of all its invaders and hit the EU much harder than if it had an actual army. In fact, it's a great strategic move whether the EU comes through with the cash or not.

Either way, it is putting the lie to the EU's suicidal policy on immigrants and Islam.

I love how leftists are whining now about Wisconsin's new "Right to Work" law. They understand it cuts the bargaining power of unions and lowers wages, but can't see why declaring that 50 million illegal immigrants also have a "right to work" does the same.

The lyrics in THIS excellent pro-Golden Dawn video (song in Greek with English subtitles) at one point say "for all you dared to ruin, you will be drowned in a sea of people."

Anonymous Titus Didius Tacitus March 10, 2015 8:18 AM

It's good that the message comes from the Greek Defense Minister. As much as what he said, who said it declares that these "immigrants" are threats to the European nations.

OT, but up on Drudge they illustrate this article about Google and living to be 500 with a photo of an unborn child and the caption Live to 500.

So, is this a strategic level action by the Greeks or is it tactical or grand tactical? (If I'm even asking what I'm thinking I'm asking...)

Because whatever you call it, it is genius.

My Greek roommate in college was running away from his Greek military service requirement because he didn't want to have to sit on the Albanian border with a rifle waiting to shoot anybody trying to sneak into the country. Guess that situation would change entirely...

Bravo, Greeks.

Do it.

The greatest threat to the European peoples is the EU and its policy of population replacement. They're boiling us just slowly enough that they're able to keep a lid on the pot.

If the Greeks can force a sudden crisis, all bets are off. The end of Schengen will just be the start.

Anonymous jack March 10, 2015 9:10 AM

One of the EU's limited responses to this, if done, will be to totally disavow any Greek papers these or any other people are carrying, and refuse entry. That would be an interesting thing to watch happen.

Blogger Rek. March 10, 2015 9:12 AM

+ It's not like it's any different in the US, open gates for illegal immigration.

Anonymous Alexander March 10, 2015 9:39 AM

Bad idea - the goal isn't to cause a glut in the number of people with Greek citizenship, it is to cause a glut in the number of people having citizenship in the countries Greece wants to attack.

Giving them Greek passports would be nothing short of disastrous. Letting them pass through the country free of troubles and assisting them northward - aka the Mexico Gambit - is much more fruitful and creates no legal ties between the migrant and the enabler if things go south.

Anonymous Alexander March 10, 2015 10:11 AM

Same here. The Guatamalans were quick to point out that if the Yankee Gringos gave them a couple of billion bucks, maybe they'd be able to take care of things such that million of children didn't have to infest our homeland.

Immigration has always been a weapon. Human capital is expensive in time and cash to cultivate, so any time a nation is not only ignoring, but actively assisting its population move elsewhere, one can be certain that it is a weapon.

Anonymous Dirtnapninja March 10, 2015 10:14 AM

You know nothing of the history here. The Germans stole billions from the Greeks when they occupied them in the living memory of some Greeks. They never paid back a dime of it. The EU Commission thought they had Greece over a barrel and could tell order them around, as they did with Ireland and Italy. The Greeks initially backed down, but now they're telling the EU Commission that they will blow up the entire European project, not just the Euro, if they don't get their way.

The Greeks aren't laden with the usual left-wing multicultual baggage, their leftists are mostly nationalists, just a bit less than the the rest of the political spectrum, who are fire-breathing Balkan nationalists. They don't care much for Turks, Albanians, or Muslims in general.

The Greeks have one huge military asset that nobody has factored in to the calculations: several thousand large cargo ships with very little to do. Why not use them to do a boat-lift from N. Africa or even the Horn of Africa to, say, Trieste or just across the border in Croatia or Slovenia? I read the WND story and there are no quotes from anyone other than the Greek. I would like to hear what the Germans and others have to say. The reason is simple. According to the ideology of the EU, immigrants are not a danger and are something to desire. Demographic change is something to be embraced. After all, it is only the right-wing nut jobs who preach that immigration is harmful. It is only the right-wing nut jobs who say that demographics mustn't change.

So, if any EU nation complains that Greece is allowing too readily non-European migrants to enter the Eurozone, then won't that be an admission that the right-wing nut jobs are correct? European leaders, just like their American counterparts, proudly proclaim Europe will no longer be majority white in a century or so. If the Greeks follow through on this plan, they are not doing anything wrong then. They are only speeding up this demographic transformation that the EU wants.

Anonymous Titus Didius Tacitus March 10, 2015 1:41 PM

@Porky, The EU (and all the elites) say immigration is good. Now, if the babies parents said 'throwing a fit is good' your analogy would hold water.

That's about the level of depth we've grown accustomed to hear from you, Alexander.

The race to the moral bottom is one of the reasons Christian Civilization got into this mess in the first place. That is why the distinction is important.

In all probability, the EU will not crumble as a result of this. The EU banksters will simply shrug it off and throw some more slop in the trough.

And all those "badass" Greeks will huddle their fat little faces into the trough like good little piggies - sucking down slop and telling each other what a bunch of badasses they were for standing up to those greedy germans as they continue to grow fat, lazy, and complacent. So badass.

The Greek response is something that should produce feelings of embarrassment or shame for any observer with a shred of manhood. Instead, you dorks are congratulating the lazy sows for being just as greedy as the EU crooks.

If you cared about Christian Civilization you would endorse a more masculine, a more robust, a more moral solution to the problem - i.e. the Hungary post.

If it's acceptable for non-Germans to move to Germany and be completely unproductive then demand a share of what the Germans have produced, why is it unreasonable for the Greeks to demand the same? There even willing to do the Germans a favor and at least stay in their own country!

As for shallow - note that I for one have not used the term 'badass'. I don't care one way or the other, and it's a very shallow reading on your part to assume that accepting the Greeks as fellow travelers indicates an approval of their long-term intentions.

But, well, that's the sort of autistic blowhard response that we've grown accustomed to expecting from you.

And so goes the decline of Christian Civilization.

I see this as a very positive move. The politicians will keep on pretending that the bright light and heat and smoke is anything but a fire in the basement, as is their wont in any real crisis a sane person sees coming years before they do, but the people of northern Europe will be paying close attention.

The ungrateful insolence of the entitled is fully on show, and it will be fascinating to watch the EU's regnant political class writhe and twist to avoid acknowledging that such words can come from no other place.

And what the only sane response to them can be.

But the more they try to buck reality the more people will grow tired of their dullard dead-eyed po-faced arrogance, their fatal pretense to democratic fervour, their innate dishonesty and unbridled greed.

We citizens of old Europe should thank the Greeks for once more showing us why we have spurned their ways for centuries.

Don't even get me started on Smyrna.

The thing that hurts about Nashville is seeing it change. It's still a great city, but it's in decline.

Do you deny the looming presence of African and Muslim immigrants around the city?

Anonymous Viidad March 10, 2015 4:45 PM

Case in point on idiocy of Nashville's gov't: after the great flood, the city didn't want people fixing the flood damage in their homes without proper permitting. Rather than saying "we realize this is a crisis - do what you need to do," they announced that they'd be bringing in a horde of new inspectors since they didn't have enough to go around.

I don't think he wants them destroyed per se. He just considers himself an intergrationist like he said in the Time article. Though in some minds that's maybe that's kind of the same thing.

But he's just one author (Rich Benjamin, seems gay, and appears on Fox News sometimes) and can't stop people from wanting to stay in their own neighborhoods. Only the government can do that by force.

@ AussieBob: The Indonesians are currently threatening Australia that if the Australians dont stop protesting over Indonesia killing two convicted Australian drug traffickers, they'll unleash tens of thousands of Arab refugees on them. Immigrants as weapons, again.

I generally ignore the news so I can't believe I missed this. How do you say, "fuck you cunt we're no longer giving you any aid" in Indonesian?

I don't care about the two drug runners but I do care about Australia being other countries (including the UN's) bitch. Time for Tony to bring all Aussie troops back home and increase Naval patrols with shoot to sink orders. Also past time to end all muslim immigration and past time to start expelling all muslims down under but baby steps first.

Anonymous Daniel H March 10, 2015 8:01 PM

I agree with Porky. The Greeks are cry-baby spongers. I am not impressed by their juvenile threat. In addition to being hollow, why antagonize sympathizers and potential supporters (the rightwing European parties, who may just come to power). The second the Greeks tried to implement their little gambit the big boys in the EU would repudiate all Greek claims on EU membership (a good thing in itself), including the right to migration. And if the Greeks think that they can just float migrants across their borders they will have to contend with Serbs, Croats, Bulgarians and others who have made it clear that they don't want Muslims or Africans anywhere near their territory. Greece should leave the EU, but they should walk out as men, not cry-babies.

Anonymous 11B March 10, 2015 8:08 PM

The greek guy would have served his case better if he didn't mention terrorists. Had he stuck to saying that greece would allow migrants to pass through to the EU, no one could have complained, lest they risk showing the world that immigration is a danger. But by mentioning terrorists, he will give these EU goons an out by letting them focus on the terrorism aspect,

Anyone with eyes knows the real danger is not from a few terrorists that will kill a few every once in a while. The real danger is from the millions and millions of non-terrorists who will squat in Europe, suck off the welfare system and displace the native population. That is a far larger danger than a few Paris-style attacks. But now that this jerk has thrown terrorism into his argument, he allows everyone to ignore the real issue and focus on the sensationalism of terrorism.

Anonymous 11B March 10, 2015 8:17 PM

I agree with Porky. The Greeks are cry-baby spongers.

Who are spongers, the greek people, its government, or both?

The second the Greeks tried to implement their little gambit the big boys in the EU would repudiate all Greek claims on EU membership (a good thing in itself), including the right to migration.

Your comments suggest, if I read your tone correctly, that the good thing coming out of this would be for the EU to kick Greece out of the EU, and end Greek's right to migration. But to me the best thing would be for this to lead to EU members ending ALL migration and free movement of peoples among all European nations. This would be the first step in demolishing the EU itself. And the EU is the biggest danger to the long term survival of Europe as a European continent. So If the Greeks force the issue and cause the EU member states to repudiate the free movement of peoples throughout Europe, then this might just be the first step towards returning sovereignty back to the individual European nations.

I hope the Greeks carry through on this.

Anonymous Daniel H March 10, 2015 8:40 PM

>> But to me the best thing would be for this to lead to EU members ending ALL migration and free movement of peoples among all European nations

I have no problem with Greeks migrating anywhere. The free migration of European peoples throughout the nations of the EU has not been and would not be a problem if the EU nations had not granted residency and citizenship to millions of Muslims who have no, and cannot have any, sense of affinity or allegiance to any European nation. Portuguese migrating to Stockholm, French to London, Irish to Munich, Danes to the Greek Islands,, et......These are all small scale migrations - the vast majority of European peoples, even in the poorest lands, want to stay in their own country, even their own counties and towns - and involve peoples who share a fundamental history and affinity with one another. Even the large scale migration of Poles to England and Ireland is not a problem because when the language barrier is overcome it is apparent that both sides share so much. And anyway, most of these Poles will migrate back to Poland. They just want to earn a little cash in England.

The EU is a mistake, much of it should be dismantled, but inter-European (and the emphasis is on European here) migration is not the problem. The Greeks are just cry-baby whiners who refuse to run their nation in a grown-up fashion. In fact, the current Greek attitude, with its childish threats, represents the worst of EU attitudes: entitlement, immaturity, heedlessness. The Greeks are victims of themselves, nobody else, and if they refuse to police their borders by keeping marauders out, with the intent of passing them on to others, then I support the measures of any power that will police Greece's borders to keep those same marauders within Greece.

The Greeks are forcing the eurocrats to either admit to lying or to continue in a pretense that is so preposterous that even the slowest in wit will be able to see the lies.

You are dreaming.

When the trough is slopped the Greeks will happily waddle back to their own lies, their own untenable debt, and their entitlement mentality.
