An unexpected betrayal

Both Israelis and American Jews are beginning the learn the cost of being House Jews for the Democratic Party:
Sometime in the fall of 2008 I sat down at my desk and banged out an impassioned letter to my sister. She was on the fence, I knew, about the young senator from Illinois who was running for president. There was some talk in the family that perhaps, on at least one occasion, during the Bush years, she had voted Republican.

We chalked it up to her decision, made as a college freshman, to marry a skilled and caring med student, who hailed from Michigan and loved cars. He drove a Chevy, Grand Am — candy red, I think — and called the city of his birth Dee-troit.

Sure, we realized, he was a terrific father and a stand-up guy all around, but he distrusted all things organic — he was in the habit of scrubbing my sister’s farmers’ market apples with hot water and soap — and he wore jeans while skiing. He loved mayonnaise and iceberg lettuce, had a soft spot for ATVs and leaf-blowers.

In short, we didn’t ask who he voted for — there was some hope that he might be a Libertarian — but, in the fall of 2008, the facts seemed quite clear: He was going with John McCain and Sarah Palin. My sister, I feared, might follow suit.

And so I took to the computer. In an email entitled “Politics” — which I reread this week for the first time in the wake of the nuclear framework deal agreed upon in Lausanne, a deal that has left me with the clammy feeling of anticipated betrayal — I spoke about the horrors of the American prison system and the plague of racism that continue to rot America from the inside; I spoke about drugs and how only people of color are incarcerated for using and dealing them, while people like George W. Bush and every other person I knew in college was free to pull bong hits, take acid, and boil ‘shrooms to his or her heart’s content. I think I spoke about African-American role models and education and gay rights. I even told her to read Frederick Douglass.

Then I lampooned McCain for never having sent an email and mentioned his age. “McCain is 72,” I wrote. “He has had four of five bouts of melanoma. He spent five and a half years in a POW camp. He is dad’s age. Dad is in great shape for his age. He has not been to the Hanoi Hilton. Yet he falls asleep at dinner regularly. Something could happen to McCain. In walks the moose hunter.”

As for Israel, I said with all the authority I could muster, it didn’t really matter. No president has recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The United States believes in a two-state solution. The occupation of the West Bank and its subsequent settlement with civilians made sense historically, emotionally, but was a horrid piece of irony: The nation that had lived under persecution for two thousand years because of its statelessness had, in a sublime moment, carved out a state in its ancient homeland and revived its wizened language only to sacrifice that historic achievement on the altar of — of all things! — territorial expansion.

A deal with the Palestinians, pushed forward by American muscle, was in Israel’s interest, I said. Without a two-state solution, guided by someone like Barack Obama, “Palestinians will outnumber us and will no longer consider 1967 a relevant date. The battle will be for all of Israel and they will win. Everyone will be yelling ‘Apartheid.’ Within two generations we’ll see the destruction of the Third Temple.”

Moreover, I noted, Bush, with his love of Zion, had been a disaster, inadvertently empowering Iran. Obama, with his cool detachment, was just what we needed.

Lastly, I encouraged her to vote Democrat, now, before her Alex P. Keaton-like eldest got the right to vote and cancelled her out. And she did (I think, maybe). She even wrote to me about the beauty of that cold January day in 2009 when he was sworn into office.
What a pity this stab-in-the-back could not possibly have been foreseen... even if I failed to note that his ritual genuflection to AIPAC was even less genuine than it appeared to be at the time.

After eight years of experiencing regular pain between the shoulder blades, conservatives can enjoy the prospect of the knife sticking out of liberal backs.

He was the perfect post-modern candidate: Without any actual record or views or history, a tabula rasa, voters were free to define their own values and meanings in him.

Postmodernism is brain damage and animal cruelty.

Amazingly...amazingly obtuse. And ungrateful. Dubya was about as pro-Israel as you can imagine an American president being, and in this fool's mind it just wasn't good enough.

Obama is exactly what they deserve.

Interesting that, as he's denigrating the husband for loving cars, he doesn't even recognize that a Grand Am is a Pontiac, not a Chevy.

Usual skittish, paranoid reaction of the jews. This agreement does not harm Israel in anyway. Do you think the neo-cons in Obama's administration would allow that? Please, Obama has done everything required of him by the lobby. Syria, Lybia, the Ukraine, etc. were all actions demanded and spearheaded by neo-cons.

Instead, Obama told Friedman, “what I’m willing to do is to make the kinds of commitments that would give everybody in the neighborhood, including Iran, a clarity that if Israel were to be attacked by any state, that we would stand by them.”

And do what? Nurse us back to health from our nuclear-induced wounds?

No, but inform Iran that he is deeply concerned, and is closely monitoring the situation.

Tee-hee-hee...

So an American president is damned if he loves Israel too much, and damned if he doesn't love her enough. You'd almost think Americans should stop trying to please Israel at all.

To what extent is the US a beta orbiter of Israel?

All that interests me about the State of Israel is their nukes. Are we going to carry out a first strike and liberate the world from the threat of the Samson Option, or not? Iran is a sideshow.

I am simply amazed at how unclearly most people see the world. And doubly so with regards to how Jews are blatantly against everyone and everything else doing exactly what they themselves do, yet are completely shocked, SHOCKED!! when people seem to dislike them everywhere they have ever gone.

And ironically enough, Palestinians will never outnumber Israelis because Israeli Jews have a steady birth rate of about three per woman, whereas the Muslims have been dropping toward replacement. Also, Israel doesn't get immigration of non-Jews.

None whatsoever.

But that IS part of the schtick that US presidents are so beholden to AIPAC that they can't shit without asking Israel's permission.

Look at the numbers. Look at who is propping up whom, look at who is financing whom, look at who puts their political muscle in play to protect whom. Most significantly, look at who has built an empire of 150 countries and counting that do its bidding, and who has not.

And remind yourself that, outside of bankrolling his wars, the historic function of the hofjuden was to take the blame for the monarch's disastrous foreign affairs ...

Yep, that Muslim Obama is such an Anti Semite. Have you noticed how he keeps sending billions in welfare to Tel Aviv every year? How he has appointed five times as many Jews to high government position in the United States as he has Muslims. His allowing Israel to loot the prepositioned American military stores during one of Israel's aggressive wars against it's neighbors. Not to mention his proclamations about "having Israel's back". Sounds like he is getting ready to start the Panzers and fire up the ovens.

Moron. Not so much. We killed nearly a million Iraqs at the behest of Israel and her partisans in US administrations. The Jews maybe modern and sophisticated but they are not civil. Their track record in USSR and now the US suggests that they will murder millions with nary a tear shed if they feel threatened. They have control of our foreign policy and it has been ruinous to American interests. Like they have in the past, the Jews will detroy the host and move on when it is no longer of any use to them.

"The Third Temple" is verbal shorthand for the state of Israel. When it looked as though Israel was about to lose the Yom Kippur War in 1973, Moshe Dayan said to Golda Meir that it looked as though the Third Temple had fallen.

There's a group called the Temple Mount Faithful who are anticipating reconstruction of the actual Temple in Jerusalem, because the Bible prophesies that it will indeed be rebuilt.

1. Iran is still subject to the acts of war known as sanctions. Iran is still being forced to give up it's rights under the NPT. Iran is still under the threat of a shooting war started by the terrorists in Tel Aviv.
2) Venezuela is still subject to the acts of war known as sanctions.
3) Russia is being surrounded by US military bases. Russia is subject to the acts of war known as sanctions. Russia is having it's neighbors attacked and brought into the sphere of US influence.
4) Cuba has had a lessening in the sanctions against it. The US policy towards Cuba is still controlled by alien immigrants who rule south Florida.

5) Israel is not our friend, never has been, never will be.
6) The US should not be in NATO to begin with. Expanding NATO into the Eastern Bloc is like when the USSR tried to put missiles in Cuba. To support the eastern expansion of NATO is to be a hypocrite.

Funny, I also wrote my sister a letter back in 2008 - when she claimed to be uncertain as to whom to vote for - imploring her not to vote at all. I recall going into clear evidence of malignant narcissism, socialism, and strong anti-White sentiments. I know I didn't mention Israel specifically or foreign affairs in general at all. I don't know for certain whom she voted for; I haven't spoken to her since. I also last spoke to a long time friend in '08, when she waxed rhapsodic about the magic negro and confided she had worked on his campaign.

My primary concern is the future of my White, male, Christian children. Anyone who supports people or policies inimical to their future is someone I have zero time for.

America has never been a friend of Israel. In 1948 when Israel was fighting for its survival America put an arms embargo on on the region. America even intercepted a pathetic arms shipment from Mexico of worn out obsolete weapons.

In 1956 America came down hard diplomatically on Israel.

America did not provide Israel with weapons or assistance until after 1967, and then it did so for entirely personal and cynical reasons. In 3 wars Israel had proven that it could be a useful cats paw against Soviet clients, and America saw an opportunity to utilize Israel for its own purposes.

Before the war, America tried to prevent Israel from making the first strike which was crucial to success, while refusing to take any action itself force Egypt to re-open the Straits of Tiran and stand down its military.

In the crucial early years of Israel's existence, when it looked like the state might go under, America not only provided no support but was frequently unfriendly.

Only when it appeared Israel could be cynically utilized by America as a proxy against the Soviets did American support for Israel began to develop. So lets be clear - initially, America's support for Israel was cynical, exploitative, and based on self-interest. When Israel needed America most, in its early years, America was coldly indifferent, and occasionally hostile.

But actions have unforeseen consequences. American support for Israel began to take on a life of its own independent of its originally cynical and exploitative motivations.. After the collapse of the Soviets, Jews took advantage of the American-established lobby system of government, as well as Christian support for Israel, to wield a disproportionate amount pf influence over American foreign policy in regards to the Middle East.

The self-serving story of noble gentiles and back-stabbing Jews, while a historical staple, is tedious. Children see the world this way. Europeans did not rule the world, establish empires, and exterminate native populations by being uniquely altruistic.

The self-serving notion that Europeans are uniquely pure and altruistic and prone to exploitation by base self-serving non-Europeans, while popular in certain sectors, is a childish fantasy no adult can possibly entertain. It flies in the face of history, and any common sense understanding of human nature. Its appeal to our worst self-congratulatory emotions is obvious. It isn't worth a moments attention from an intelligent man.

The reality is far more interesting and far more characteristic of human nature in its dark complexity and the danger of unforeseen consequences. Both Israel and America are, ultimately, self-serving actors coldly indifferent to each others fate except insofar as each can be of benefit to the other. Cold indifference was American's attitude towards Israel before it showed itself of use, and cold indifference will be Israel's attitude if America stops being of use to them.

That's human nature. Uniquely noble and altruistic Europeans are the worst murderers and exploiters in history, not because they are worse than anyone else, but because they are just like everyone else, but better at getting things done.

Whatever the reason for current European decline, one thing you can be sure - it isn't a function of some noble trait in the European character. Such fantasies are consolations for the childish who need consolation and can't look reality in the face. European decline, like the decline of any people, can be found where such things are always found, in weakness, baseness, lack of courage, lack of fortitude, which inevitably invades every people shortly after it has reached its apogee. No people in history has followed a different arc, and Europeans are not unique.

Idiot, Iran doesn't have a bomb, doesn't have a military nuclear program, will be crawling with IAEA, UN and American nuclear inspectors. The minute they converted their civilian program to a military purpose Israel would pounce on them, Not even Israel's Mossad believes Iran is a nuclear threat. Iran's "threat" is merely an excuse for an eventual invasion.
