A commentary on the Two Puppies

Tempest in a Teardrop observes that while it is better to light a candle than curse the darkness...

Sometimes it's easier to see with a torch. Five points for each member of the Evil Legion of Evil you can correctly identify.

It may be better to light a candle than curse the darkness, but it's better still to make your way by the light of all the blazing stakes to which your enemies are bound.

burning humans smell truly awful. I recommend impalement. if you want to rig up some apparatus that forces them to hold the torches for you as you walk by while they die... and well... rot... so be it.

Blogger Incognito May 09, 2015 8:43 AM

Burning humans may smell awful, but I thought the Dread Lord was referring to SJWs. What do Doritos and cat hair smell like when they burn?

Blogger VD May 09, 2015 8:50 AM

I recommend impalement.

Just get a room with Kate and get it over with, would you?

Blogger Salt #0008 May 09, 2015 8:53 AM

Once they're impaled, why bother. Let them die in the darkness. Use the torches for lighting the party we're having.

Blogger Nate May 09, 2015 8:55 AM

the soul may not be there... but there all the more fat and hair to make up for it.

Blogger Nate May 09, 2015 8:58 AM

Speaking of impalement.... anyone gotten to shoot a S&W M&P10 yet? (its an AR in .308 for you luddites)

Blogger Nate May 09, 2015 9:24 AM

"Just get a room with Kate and get it over with, would you?"

there is an Arthur Chu joke in here somewhere...

Blogger JaimeInTexas May 09, 2015 9:24 AM

Life just has not allowed me to save enough for me to sink $1K to $2K into the firearm I want to own. The AR10 is tbe one I would like to own ... one of these days, maybe.
I am also interested in the review.

I say the big bear is Nate.

Blogger Nate May 09, 2015 9:36 AM

Bear is Larry... Raven is Wright... Vox is obviously Vox.

Anonymous Lulabelle May 09, 2015 9:36 AM

Vox is, of course, holding the gas can.

Blogger Nate May 09, 2015 9:37 AM

Kate could be the carrot... as I believe she is a ginger.

Blogger Nate May 09, 2015 9:41 AM

"Life just has not allowed me to save enough for me to sink $1K to $2K into the firearm I want to own. "

Remington R-25 can be had for around a grand.

I see "alauda" showed up at the original comic. Someone needs to wheel him off a cliff.

Anonymous Johnny Rebb May 09, 2015 10:42 AM

The rat (or perhaps the mouse) would be Brad?

Blogger Russell (106) May 09, 2015 10:45 AM

Wait, where are the VFM? There's a bunch of them, holding their own cans and crooning softly...

Anonymous Johnny Rebb May 09, 2015 10:51 AM

Kate's a ginger? Now I really like her. Somehow that image looks to me more like a stake than a carrot though.

Anonymous Rusty Fife May 09, 2015 10:56 AM

The answer is an 80% lower. Midway has parts kits to finish it out. Use a 6.5 Grendel upper to finish and you're good for everything smaller than an elk out to 800yds.

A buddy is finishing his out on a drill press. There are videos online with guys finishing them with a hand drill.

Anonymous NateM May 09, 2015 11:01 AM

So is the Tchernabog character holding the gas can Vox?

Blogger Feather Blade May 09, 2015 11:31 AM

So is the Tchernabog character holding the gas can Vox?

Who else could it be?

Blogger glad2meetyou May 09, 2015 12:16 PM

The bear is Brad, not Larry. Correct?

Though according to Evil Legion of Evil lore, Brad's favorite weapon is the flame-thrower. A flame-thrower resembles a torch more than a candle, which would support a case for Brad as the gas can guy. But that has to be VD.

I though that SMOF meant Sexual Monsters of Fandom.

I guess I was wrong.

Blogger Nate May 09, 2015 12:40 PM

Larry's the bear. Brad's the mouse.

Anonymous Stingray May 09, 2015 12:44 PM

I can see Mr. Correia as the bear but why a mouse for Mr. Torgersen and Mr. Wright a raven? And why mushrooms (other than deep dark place)?

Blogger Ken May 09, 2015 12:54 PM

Stake burnings, impalements...Kratman, you need to get in here to bring in the crucifixions. We can't do it without you!

"[why is] Mr Wright a Raven?"

Probably an allusion to Edgar Allen Poe and a complimentary comparison between the two.

Blogger Michael Maier May 09, 2015 1:36 PM

Great cartoon but Vox should have been whistling a note.

Blogger Poor Guy May 09, 2015 1:37 PM

I wish I had some artistic talent. I can come up with good stories, even if my writing is a bit clunky.

Anonymous BigGaySteve May 09, 2015 2:20 PM

"burning humans smell truly awful. I recommend impalement. "

People who work in burn centers get used to the smell to the point they don't notice it, but the smell lingers on them even after showers & changes of cloths.

Blogger JaimeInTexas May 09, 2015 2:42 PM

I thought that Larry was the bear until I saw the mushroom with the biggest torch. That gotta be Larry. Brad is the big teddy bear. The rat, Kratman?

So is the Tchernabog character holding the gas can Vox?

strange, i've always thought of Vox as more of a Trevor Goodchild.

Blogger IM2L844 May 09, 2015 3:42 PM

The raven could be an instrument of Mr. Wright (The Evil Brain-in-a-Jar), I suppose.

Anonymous Peter Pan May 09, 2015 4:20 PM

Wright is the raven. Torgersen is the cuddly bear. Vox is the Dark Lord with the gasoline. I'm guessing the carrot is Kate the Impaler, and the rat is Correia.

Blogger Bobo May 09, 2015 11:27 PM

If I were different, i.e. AR, I'd have an MP-10 in a blink. I imagine it's sweet.
I have a VEPR .308 that has become one of my top 3 weapons. It's very...sincere.

Anonymous Jack Amok May 10, 2015 12:58 AM

I recommend impalement.

Along those lines, when do we get our ELoE Pitchforks?

Oh, wait, I see Nate and JamieInTexas are already working on that. .308 caliber pitchforks.

OpenID lostsailor32 May 10, 2015 2:47 PM

I'm the small mushroom-shaped being in the back. But I'm holding a Molotov cocktail, straight up with a twist...

Blogger JaimeInTexas May 11, 2015 10:07 AM

Is that really a carrot? Who has the final answer? Rhetorical, question; the guy with the gas container does.
