Anti-Confederate, pro-Islamic State

Walmart endorses ISIS:
Given the many national chains that stopped selling confederate flags after the Charleston, South Carolina, church massacre, Chuck Netzhammer couldn’t have been too surprised that Walmart denied his request to create a cake bearing the image of the confederate flag.

But a day later, Netzhammer decided to put the store’s convictions to the test.

He said he submitted another cake request to the Walmart in Slidell, Louisiana, on Friday — this time with the Islamic State flag on top.

Surely a no-no for Walmart, yes?

Nope.

To Netzhammer’s shock, Walmart put together the cake with the Islamic State flag.

The USA is obviously well into the "decline" part of "decline-and-fall".

UPDATE: Walmart regrets being caught out and YouTube tries to help them cover it up:
"Our talented bakery associates take pride in what they create for our customers. It's unfortunate one customer thought to take advantage of an associate who did not know the flag and its meaning," said John Forrest Ales, a spokesman for Walmart. "This cake should not have been made, and we apologize for the mistake."

At 10:15 p.m. ET Monday, the video was removed from YouTube with the statement, "This video has been removed as a violation of YouTube's policy against spam, scams, and commercially deceptive content."

The confederate flag thing really blew my mind. How fast that all went down... how big has the SJW freedom crushing network become. It's obviously not logical, and it's not sane either. Gives me more respect for the Vox Popoli's of the world who stand against that kind of onslaught.

Blogger Student in Blue June 30, 2015 8:12 AM

According to Walmart, the associate who made the cake didn't recognize the ISIS flag, which is why they went ahead and made it.

Still, ignorance is no excuse, especially if Walmart is holding themselves to be arbiters of 'right' and 'wrong' emblems.

Walmart got big by catering to middle America. It will be erased by catering to SJW coasties. And the SJWs will laugh, they always hated it anyways. It's like the New York Times telling Republicans who to nominate for president.

Meh. It's OK. Please forgive my inner vexillology snob.

The good: It only has two colors
The bad: Text on a flag is in poor taste. Flags are supposed to contain symbols, not function as a pamphlet.

I don't think it's this at all. It's the so-called moderates, or rather the character of the average American. The populace at large has become so spoiled by comfort and so ideologically docile that just expressing (un)righteous indignation over something has them running scared and assuming they're accidentally in the wrong, stumbling over themselves to fix it.

I took it that, though they may merely be a Walmart employee, they can be taught in short time to reject one symbol, yet can't recognize the main symbol for a group we have essentially been at war with for some time.

I did view it. It was not quite mealy-mouthed appeaser. It was more like someone who does not believe in the God of the Bible telling believers how to witness & what to stand for. So, it was actually judgmental & dismissive. It was however wrapped up in pretty rhetoric.

Brooks' advice is worse.

He suggests we spend all of our time attempting to correct the damage done by the SJW destruction of society (broken homes, etc.) without talking about Christian morality.

Alexander said basically what I thought.

If Walmart is now in the business of judging what are 'good' or 'bad' flags, having employees who cannot recognize the symbol of ISIS is beyond stupid as a business.

Walmart should either hire employees who are so cheap they cannot reliably make good independent judgments, OR go into the business of judging things. Going into both is absolutely shortsighted as a business.

And I ain't even touching whether or not they should be judging in the first place.

Treason Times commentary? I hesitated but I read it anyway just in case. Brooks wants people to stop fighting a war they're "going to lose" (strike one) and switch to fighting one they could win. He points out (correctly, though he uses mealy-mouthed euphemisms) that being a lazy parasite and moral decay go hand-in-hand, and that single-parent families are a huge part of the problem. So he thinks conservatives should focus on helping people find jobs and rebuild stable families (good idea so far) while NOT bothering to fight against the sexual revolution and it's cultural ills.

He fails to see (or foolishly ignores) that neither fight will be effective without the also fighting the other. The *actual* "true Christian response" is do both.

Yep. There's a Spectator article today about how SJWs are losing battles all of a sudden, and the author attributes it mostly to the "nice left" not wanting to be identified with crazies (as if that ever bothered them before). I replied that it's nothing much to do with the "nice left"; it's because their targets this time aren't letting them set the terms and the boundaries of the battle.

Not that we're doing anything dishonest; we're just exposing exactly who they are and what they do, and we're not letting moderates and "nice" conservatives talk us out of playing fair and speaking the truth anymore.

Randi Harper is going down now, because a handful of people finally said enough and started shining a light on her. But she's been destroying people for years, literally driving some --even allies -- into online seclusion with her hate campaigns because they rubbed her the wrong way. The "nice" people on all sides were fine with that, or at least willing to live with it, because dealing with her looked too ugly. And it is ugly, but it has to be done, if people aren't going to continue to be fooled into sending her money so she can be a full-time SJW scourge on the industry.

Expose exactly who they are and what they're about. They don't stand up well to public scrutiny at all, because they've typically acted without restraint for years. There's even a good chance they'll go scurrying into the dark without a struggle.

No. If a company's new logo looked a lot like a swastika, do you think the SJWs would care a whit whether or not it was intentional, or whether the graphic designer even knew what a swastika was?

Playing by their rules, remember? They insisted on the rule that intent doesn't matter; you are punished for your apparent crimes and the feelbad they cause others. By their rules (in which Wal-Mart appears to be an enthusiastic participant), Wal-Mart had committed a hate crime the instant someone was offended by that cake.

Well said, Scuzzaman. And combined with what we have been authoritatively assured, that guilt is associative, this means the Walmart CEO needs to resign.

"...this means the Walmart CEO needs to resign."

That would be an interesting campaign...maybe futile, but useful to see how much traction could be achieved.

I still don't know why conservatives have such a hard-on for Wal-Mart.

1) Protecting Walmart is more a White Working Class thing than a conservative thing. Really. Outside vibrant communities, Walmart is where mill workers and mechanics shop.
2) The GOP has already been purchased, now they're working on the Dems. They found out that the protection money has to be spread around or the people who feel slighted will try to make your life hell. The GOP just wants the money, in cash, small notes. Dems want both money and ritual self-criticism.

And that's all this is.

As far as conservative pundits go, it's because big business good. Also, Wal-Mart has a history of harsh union-busting, so even better.

People keep telling me they have the lowest prices. I went there a couple times recently because I was in the neighborhood and didn't have time to get to my usual grocery store, and I was surprised how high the prices were. Prices are better at the actual grocery store, and I don't hate humanity by the time I come out of there.

Wallmart only has low prices on the things sold by local businesses they want to destroy. Once those are gone they can make up for the loss leader.

My guess about the Confederate Battle Flag is that the SJW elites have been planning to crack down on it for years, but it only took until now for some drugged-up white kid to give them the excuse to do so.

Like deliberately filling a room full of gas fumes, flint, and steel blades.

The gas fumes, of course, being black-on-white crime.

Anonymous Alexander, #10 June 30, 2015 1:38 PM

The flag has been under attack for a while, low burning with occasional flare-ups. This was just the largest and most successful push in a while.

I don't even think it was the church shooting that really did it. In isolation, that wouldn't have been enough. But after a year of 'gee, look at what happened to this retail outlet that just happened to be in an area filled with pissed off chimps...', they finally had a white guy to stick the blame on and a non-white threat to implicitly back it up.

Anonymous bw1 June 30, 2015 1:52 PM

So, the real question is, when are WalMart and Amazon going to apologize to the families of Bernard Crowe, Gary Hinman, Steven Parent, Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, Leno LaBianca, Rosemary LaBianca, and Donald Shea for continuing to sell Beatles albums all these years?

He looks like a naive hick but he is clever. He knew what he was doing from the get-go and knew he would get rejected on his cake request and obviously set up the poor saps in the bakery dept. He purposely didn't include the "Isis" order form in the video because he probably made up a story to Walmart about the image and then acted as if he requested an Isis flag cake.

Anonymous John YaYa June 30, 2015 2:14 PM

The old saying goes, "Give a dog a bad name and eventually he's gonna answer to it."

Whites have been named race-iss, causers of feel-bad for so long, I wonder when (if) they'll begin to answer to it.

As far as digging up General Forrest and his spouse, it's really nothing new. SJWs have been digging up their enemies and dumping them in pauper's plots for a while now, once they're safely dead that is.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/austria/1435999/Vienna-council-shifts-Luftwaffe-hero-from-plot-of-honour-to-paupers-grave.html

The flag thing is not even so much about the flag as it is an instance of cultural cleansing. This cultural cleansing has been going on for a while as well, but has speeded up of late as the practitioners of it feel that they finally have the whip hand. But what follows is ethnic cleansing. This has also been going on a while as whites retreat from the cities and other public spaces their ancestors built, but I suspect it, too, will begin to accelerate.

Conservatives (Traditionalists) have been playing checkers, while the SJWs (or their leaders at least) have been playing Go. They surround and isolate their target before making their move and don't attack until victory is almost a sure thing. In military terms, this is prepping the battlespace. Traditionalists have been reactive only up to now, tending to go through established channels and wasting time and money trying to get themselves heard by institutions that long ago installed SJW gatekeepers to make sure they spin their wheels in unproductive circles.

Trads could try and emulate the SJW Long March through the institutions, but I don't think we have that long and the SJWs pulled that ladder up after themselves. Time for new institutions?

You can hit Wal-Mart hard at the local level. If you have progressives in the area, they aren't going to ally with you, but you might be able to show up and swing support their way on a local issue. Anyone in local government can decide to check up on their compliance with local laws and regulations. If Wal-Mart wants to come to your area, fight them at the local level. The progressives and local business will be there already.

But what's always amused me about the ISIS flag is that its lettering looks like it was designed by children with magic markers, rather than professional calligraphers as with the Saudi flag.

Errm... No...

A billion dollar corporation is a laughable victim of it's own PC wrangling and a lowly bakery employee is a pitiable victim of this more-clever-than-he-playacts redneck. ISIS barely enters into it.

The Walmart cake order form displayed in the video doesn't have a "story" section. There's a bunch of cake and frosting type checkboxes, and I'd guess the customer is expected to attach a picture of the design ... but it's a custom-design cake, not a novel. I think you're vastly overestimating the amount of deception or victimization needed on the part of the redneck.

That would be a very SJW thing to demand in the future though ...

"I want a cake."
"What for?"
"What do you mean, what for?"
"We need to verify you have pure intentions when using our cake product. National policy to not serve the wrong kind of customer."

I think this is deliberate: remember, they want to be hard as fuck puritans who oppose any innovation, so they picked the most simple script they could. Then again, maybe none of their guys can write for shit. Why else would they join, lol.

Also, after reading a little bit about them, I have more contempt for those of you that equate these vermin with Islam. To wit: forget hardliners like the Saudis, EVEN JIHADISTS think that these fuckers are heretics.

JIHADISTS.

(seriously, how fucked up do you have to be to refer to Hamas, Saudi Arabia and the Ottoman Empire as "apostates"?)

I also think I know now what motivates those guys: same thing that motivated Ishmael to go whaling.

He obviously had to have some sort of excuse or story behind the picture he submitted. Either the baker knew the flag or didn't. Either he knew it was arabic or didn't. Either way requires explanation. Especially if they knew it was the same guy they turned down the day before.

I didn't say there was a lot needed. The deception I'm talking about is not him talking a baker into something, but the planning of the whole thing, then playacting as if he is just innocent ol' Cletus. Look-- I'm not knocking the guy, I'm admiring him for working with what he's got. To me, this is a great example of a small but effective step.

"We need to verify you have pure intentions when using our cake product. National policy to not serve the wrong kind of customer."
There was an idiot meme going around Facebook to the tune of "If Christian bakers are responsible for gay weddings they make cakes for, are Christian gun shop owners responsible for murders committed with their guns?"

I think this is a perfectly reasonable argument for bakery owners to demand wedding licenses to see they won't be participating in anything morally objectionable.

Would they make a confederate cake for a gay southern wedding of Adam and Billie Bob?
Obvious next step is to submit this and ask for dual grooms on it.

Mr. Ails (sp?) emerges from the Hastily-Assembled Corporate Spin Session and ... subtly but promptly attempts to shift responsibility to the BAKERY ASSOCIATE who made the cake!

Ain't that Amerika.

Walmart Inc. is vile, including its pseudo-inclusive Gay Pride policies. No policies against Mooslim Cakes however. Until they get called on it. So, quick uh let's blame the patient harangued lady who works at their crappy, sterile, anti-American conglom, for twelve dollars an hour, making cakes for fat spoiled brats. Fire the bitch! Cause it sure ain't Walmart's fart!

Oh and p.s. look! John has got hisself three names. Because the first and last like the rest of us use isn't sufficiently corpo-pretentious. He needs three names because, well, he's just that much better than us. So, there's that in his defense.

Yeah, I'm no fan of Islam, but I understand. If Muslims were all like ISIS, the Middle Eastern Christians would have been gone a thousand years ago.

If I was to give a trophy to the World's Worst Religion, I'd actually pick the Hindus. There are lots of anti-Christian incidents in India that the news media doesn't talk about. It's telling that in the partition of India in 1947, the Christians in North India apparently decided they'd rather live in the Muslim or Sikh areas rather than with the Hindus. Plus, I've noticed that Muslims will drink alcohol but Hindus won't, at least where I am.

The last part is suprising, in a way.

I didn't know that Hindus were that violent, but I can imagine Christians not wanting to live among them: they are way less hygienic than us and Islam is Abrahamic rather than the even more alien Hindu religion.

However, I have to admit one thing: their leaders (Brahmin?) seem a whole lot more noble than the Muslim leaders in Pakistan. Generous as hell and unwilling to use the shameless methods that Pakis used in harming their enemies.

I guess we don't have a lot of mercy towards outsiders and don't take slights very well. That's my conclusion.

Clearly there is an important difference between asking a minimum wage employee in Slidell LA to "Make me an ISIS Flag" and showing that same employee a picture and saying "Make me this". Don't you think?

Well, if the ground rules of the culture war included being clear and thinking, you'd have an excellent point.

But, since the ground rules are to lie, cheat, steal and sucker punch whenever possible... no, you're wrong.

And... fuck you.
