I said good day, sir!

I had to post it because it makes me laugh every single time I see it. Sad Puppies has its spokesmanatee, and no one would deny the masterful eloquence of Wendell, but you have to love the otters of #GamerGate.

What a lot of things you use "Good Day" for. Now you mean that it isn't good and that it would be better if you were rid of me!

Owning a pet otter had never seemed like a good idea until this moment.

Apparently somebody has been domesticating foxes lately. I think they should be bred for size and trained to root out groundhogs.

Blogger Feather Blade July 30, 2015 1:29 PM

Apparently somebody has been domesticating foxes lately.

The Russians, for about 60 years now. IIRC they did two lines, one breeding for docility and friendliness, and the other (just for kicks, i guess) for hostility and aggression.

There's no earthly way of knowing
Which direction we are going.
There's no knowing where we're rowing
Or which way the culture's flowing.
Is it raining?
Is it snowing?
Is a GamerGate a blowing?

Blogger JDC July 30, 2015 1:52 PM

The danger must be growing
Cuz the liberals just keep moaning
And they're certainly not showing
Any signs that they are slowing

OT: it turns out digoxin usually used to kill the babies before sucking them out will render fetal stem cells unusable. Kind of like why they like to do circumcisions without pain meds.

http://thefederalist.com/2015/07/29/why-planned-parenthood-cant-donate-tissue-from-harvested-babies/
" if you “dig,” you’re guaranteed a dead baby and a successful abortion without having to worry about the law. Moreover, you’ll find that a baby that has already died from a heart attack is apparently “softer” and easier to pull apart with metal instruments.
I wonder how candid Nucatola is with her patients about this process."
" If digoxin is used, it renders the fetal stem cells unusable. (See the footage and the transcript.) Knowing this, Nucatola’s graphic explanation of how to “crush” unborn babies to maximize organ retrieval requires a clarifier. These babies are being strategically maneuvered, crushed, and dismembered under ultrasound guidance—while still alive."

awesome. I just watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with my kids. The 'good day, Sir' line is my son's favorite.
It was awkward when he asked me if Oompa Loompas were real. I replied that they do not exist but explaining dwarfism was harder.

I figured it out. Vox may have infected me with Christianity, and I think I infected him with Humanity. Yes. I am taking sole credit. Cause I say so, that's why.

Anonymous Steve July 30, 2015 5:22 PM

Poli_Mis - The 'good day, Sir' line is my son's favorite.

When I saw that film as a boy I became upset when Wonka started screaming at Charlie. The best bit was the fizzy lifting drinks.

he asked me if Oompa Loompas were real. I replied that they do not exist but explaining dwarfism was harder.

It's not that hard.

Actually otters are easy to get along with. They like routines, and are quite playful and sedate, however, you don't want suddenly to be grabbing stuff away from them. That there's my George and he is coming with me.

That second pic, the good day sir with reserved indignation, is a keeper. (Who btw is v fond of rum. And antelopes are missionaries. Cheers E-dub.

He is just trying to soften his image a bit.. I expect we will see more of this cute stuff showing the softer side of vd.. he got a bit carried away recently and realized he has to tone it down just a little bit if he doesnt want to end up being David Duked by the sjw's in the EU. Its actual part of his strategy .. we just dont what that plan is....

Willie Wonka as played by Wilder is the scariest psychopath ever committed to film.

He makes the film.

Blogger Markku July 30, 2015 11:08 PM

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is an amusing film because the original book was not written for children - it was written for adults as a parody of a children's book. Especially of their usual, shall we say, straightforward and merciless moralism. So, to take things even further, Willy Wonka just outright kills the kids and their parents in death traps for the smallest infractions of his own morality.

And yet, the audience kept buying it as a children's book...

Markku-

Didn't Roald Dahl come out and Say he didn't care much for kids? Although I seem to remember the bad kids at least survived, albeit permanently disfigured

Anonymous ut unum sint July 31, 2015 12:25 AM

"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked".... The favorite verse of those of us who pray for the souls of those who remind us of Roald Dahl. not to mention ourselves on a bad day and Roald himself on a normal day. Really some people should just not bother writing those books they want to write.

@30 OT: it turns out digoxin usually used to kill the babies before sucking them out will render fetal stem cells unusable. Kind of like why they like to do circumcisions without pain meds.

Meanwhile, all they can "unspin" is that fetal tissue was actually sold "at profit". Not that money was offered for it at all. Not that Nucatola calmly discussed how to properly dismember a living human being for the best parts.

Just that they're not making money on the practice.

Bring on the meteors, please, we're done here.

Wasn't it a pet otter that bit all the fingers off that baby in Washington State a few years back? It could've been a ferret or other similar animal too, but it was in the same family of critter...

regardless of how playful or friendly otters tend to be, they are wild predators.

leaving one unsupervised with or even allowing near an infant is just gob smacking stupidity.

even if it is far more likely that it was a ferret that you were thinking of.

i wouldn't leave a pet coon or skunk with a baby either.
