I will be there also, assuming USA lets me into the country. Which is not yet absolutely certain. But I have bought the plane tickets.

Will the Dark Lord himself be there?

VFM Number 1 will most certainly be there.

Anonymous Leatherwing July 07, 2015 1:26 PM

I know. But since no other host was named, I had to wonder. It could be the start of a long march to Spokane, gathering minions along the way, until the ground trembles and rivers run dry.

Anonymous VFM293 July 07, 2015 1:31 PM

Hmmm, if my transmission hadn't taken a dump I'd be there.

Figure it out.

Blogger JaimeInTexas July 07, 2015 2:23 PM

Oh maaaaan. I do not think I can make it.

For Ilk not from Texas who will be attending. In Texas, an establishment has to post a legal 3.06 sign to exclude concealed carriers. Also, they have no choice to exclude and post a sign if 51% or more in sales of alcohol. Check reciprocity with you state.

Blogger Nate July 07, 2015 2:28 PM

"Check reciprocity with you state."

Texas honors the CCW licenses of virtually every state. I'm sure some shitty state like Wisconsin or something is the exception.

Blogger MidKnight (#138) July 07, 2015 2:29 PM

Can't wait till one is close enough for me to go. You guys have fun.

Anonymous Clint aka VFM 47/73 July 07, 2015 2:30 PM

JaimeinTexas is correct. No concealed firearms allowed in Texas bars. Leave it in the car.

Austin? Isn't that ground zero for sjws in Texas? Unless rabbits are out of season right now.

Anonymous SS July 07, 2015 2:50 PM

Ah, was hoping it was being planned for next week. Can't make it this weekend, but I'm already scheduled to be down there next week for business.

Anonymous Stg58 / Animal Mother #225 July 07, 2015 2:51 PM

Dave, that's right it is ground zero for rabbits and SJW's. What does coach Brian Billick say to do? We're going to party right in their backyard.

Anonymous SS July 07, 2015 2:52 PM

Also, can we get these announced a little further ahead of time? I could have rescheduled my trip if I had advanced warning.

Agreed with SS. I would go if I had time to make the necessary plans.

But you guys, have fun.

Blogger Alexander July 07, 2015 3:10 PM

Anonymous Difster VFM #109 July 07, 2015 3:36 PM

Also, just for the Dread Ilk, we've got an all day event on Saturday (Ilkmoot!). Gun range late morning and then BBQ, drinking and good conversation. Most of you already know about it but just If you are Dread Ilk and want to attend, send one of us a message for the address and such. It's going to be in Cedar Creek, just east of Austin.

Blogger SirThermite (VFM #0025) July 07, 2015 3:48 PM

Damn...have a brother in Houston but no one in Austin, not that I could fly down on this short of notice anyway. Sounds like a riot though. I'll be with you in spirits, toasting to all your health with a glass of something costly and brown.

Anonymous p-dawg July 07, 2015 3:52 PM

I'm having dinner with my parents at that exact time in a different part of the city. I'll swing by after, see if the place is still standing. And to echo others, with a tiny bit more notice, I could have rescheduled my existing plans. It's only common courtesy to give a decent amount of notice for things like this.

Blogger WATYF #0222 July 07, 2015 3:53 PM

WATYF

Blogger Panzerdude July 07, 2015 3:57 PM

Oh man! From DF/W it will take about 5 hours to get there Friday night. Am seriously considering the sacrifice...

Understand the last minute planning necessitated by SJW's coordinating the attempt to ruin someone else's fun, as always, but we can handle them. More notice for these events in Texas will really help.Besides, let the SJW's come experience some hospitality.

Anonymous Stg58/Animal Mother #225 July 07, 2015 3:59 PM

Too much going on Friday at work to make it down in at all a reasonable time, but Saturday might work, especially if I could find a decently priced hotel part of the way there. Hotels in Austin are generally horrid on the cost end.

Heh . . . "Next year . . . in AL-A-BAMA!

Anonymous BigGaySteve July 07, 2015 9:31 PM

Austin? Isn't that ground zero for sjws in Texas? Unless rabbits are out of season right now.

Don't worry they go to the gay bars. Oh wait is the Mean eyed cat a lesbian bar?

Hey... we had vox announce it the minute we decided to do it. We had no idea you girls kept such tight social calendars.

Unless you are per diem you pretty much have to give a months + notice or find someone to swap with you at a lot of places. Most hospitals ER doctors don't get even to chose when they go on vacation it gets chosen for them.

What, so Houston is gay too? Houston is black gay. Really dirty city also. Seriously don't even stop in Houston, treat the city as you would a New Orleans graveyard at night.

Even worse for me. I have an ex-wife in Austin. I have an ex boyfriend there, a social worker there to boot.

Damn. BGS sure knows San Antonio. I lived there when Dennis Rodman and RuPaul both lived there. There are 5 trama centers in the city if I recall. I used to do the healthcare traveler thing. Now I am closer to DC than Austin.

Unless you have a hankering for black tranny hookers.

Sounds perfect for Maier.

Will I be the only gal there? (provided I manage to make it).........I thought Stickwick lived in Round Rock?

Blogger Bard July 07, 2015 9:46 PM

What city in Alabama?

Blogger Bard July 07, 2015 9:46 PM

Will be heading south from TN.

Anonymous Poli_Mis July 07, 2015 9:49 PM

If it is Fairhope, I can make the BamaMoot too.

Blogger Markku July 07, 2015 9:52 PM

Oh, BamaMoot. Probably in Chigagoland, or maybe Kenya.

Blogger JaimeInTexas July 07, 2015 9:58 PM

LOL Love you guys ... in a good way. :/

Houston is huge and we tend to include surrounding areas as our suburbs. Ourmasters see them as possible land grabs but that is another story. Houston is also a working city. Life is not downtown.

Just stay away from the Montrose area.

Blogger SarahsDaughter July 07, 2015 10:11 PM

We won't be in Texas again until September.

A Midwest gathering would be great! Whaddya say...a Packer game? **ducks**

Blogger Badmojo July 07, 2015 10:11 PM

I think Stickwick was planning to attend, but had a schedule conflict.

Anonymous Lulabelle (68) July 07, 2015 10:28 PM

I so wish Viidad would be there. I've been wanting to give him a solid stink-eye for a few weeks. My husband read his book and has been littering the back yard with every reject from our garden. You know, just "composting everything" . And evidently composting it just anywhere you dang well feel like it.

Blogger Nate July 07, 2015 10:36 PM

undecided.

However Orange Beach is definitely an option. No one bitches about a long weekend at the beach.

Anonymous Lulabelle (68) July 07, 2015 10:39 PM

1 vote yes for beach.

Anonymous Poli_Mis July 07, 2015 10:49 PM

We stayed on Orange Beach last year and loved it

+1

Blogger Brad Andrews July 07, 2015 11:35 PM

We count two cities in our area of DFW! I am sure Fort Worth has its flaky parts, but I can only recall the area just north of downtown Dallas. Most of the rest is fairly good, though it varies.

We should meet up in DFW later for those up here.

My wife should be there, though she is definitely different than I. We may not make much on Friday night since that depends on traffic.

Any hotel suggestions?

Anonymous Obvious July 07, 2015 11:38 PM

I plan on being there.

Anonymous cheddarman July 07, 2015 11:56 PM

Nate, will you have any torchlight parades or cathedrals of light for the Bama Ilk moot dictatorship gathering?

Ein Reich, Ein Ilk, Ein Nate!!!!

Anonymous Difster VFM #109 July 07, 2015 11:56 PM

Yes, there should be a handful of women there.

Anonymous Obvious July 07, 2015 11:59 PM

Obvious will not be there but thinks it is hilarious that Beale's fan club is gathering in a place he isn't allowed to be.

Blogger Brad Andrews July 08, 2015 12:04 AM

Got a decent hotel a bit north. Hopefully that is close enough to everything.

How late do you expect to be going Friday night? Is it worth even coming down at some point or does parking fill up?

Blogger Lana J July 08, 2015 12:35 AM

Blogger Lana J July 08, 2015 12:40 AM

Obvious, we already know you're a chickenshit who won't show up. You wet your pants thinking about it, hence the passive aggressive comment. Why state the obvious? Oh wait....

Anonymous Obvious July 08, 2015 1:04 AM

Lana,

a) way to respond. Enjoy your eventual malleting. :)

b) some one thought it'd be funny to use the handle to say that I'd be there. I wouldn't want any of the Ilk to get confused.

Blogger Danby July 08, 2015 1:10 AM

Blogger Mr.MantraMan July 08, 2015 7:10 AM

If you want to talk about guns at this get together then mention the late and not so great Gamma boy Kevin Sutherland recent grad of American University, D party activist, gun control nut and all around hater of the South, no toast for him though.

Anonymous Obvious July 08, 2015 7:55 AM

Nate can kiss me from his knees.

Blogger Nate July 08, 2015 9:03 AM

are you propositioning me?

Anonymous John YaYa July 08, 2015 9:29 AM

Well ain't this serendipitous?

I departed Austin for parts east years ago but remain close enough to attend.

Will be there as my primary objective is to see if Nate really chews barbwire and spits out Raufoss rounds. Secondary objective is to find out what kind of wax is recommended for twirling an evil mustache.

For the record, I do not own a Glock and the smallest handgun caliber I have is a .41 Magnum.

Would advise against a visit to Hippy Hollow unless one of you is bringing a 55-gallon drum of eyebleach. You would think an Austin area nude beach would be brimming with nubile coeds, but from what I hear, it's actually filled with people you'd prefer wore a surplus circus tent.

The Whole Foods mothership is just down the street from the bar and a coordinated bruising-of-the-organic-produce would actually cause more fainting among the SJW set.

Blogger Harsh July 08, 2015 9:46 AM

If Obvious was going, I'd be tempted to fly down from Ohio just to point and laugh at the freak.

Blogger James Dixon July 08, 2015 10:09 AM

> 20 hours is a flight.. not a drive. Fly into Alabama next year. We'll handle the rest

Do you really want me in jail for assaulting a TSA official, Nate. :)

Assuming I still have a job next year, we'll make a week of it and drive down to Alabama and look around. :)

Blogger Panzerdude July 08, 2015 11:25 AM

Having made the trip to Austin from DF/W many times, it is usually about 3 hours...except on Friday afternoons. For those unfamiliar with Austin, the Waco-Austin corridor has the worst traffic in the U.S. most afternoons, but especially Fridays.

Imagine all the traffic from several cities all routed into one stretch of freeway. It is far worse than rush hour traffic in the 6 million + DF/W metroplex. I avoid the Austin area in the afternoons if at all possible.

Having exclaimed at the horrific nature of the traffic, I am so enamored by the meeting that I find myself actually considering it. Wow! The Evil Lord of Evil is able to lure his minions through even the most dire environments just by proclaiming "Come!". That's POWER! Hopefully I won't have to face his wrath if the travel dangers end up being too great to attend...

Ilk meetup, LibertarianChristians.com invites you to join us in Austin, Texas on August 7-8, 2015.

What's with Austin? That place is like Mordor by the Colorado but with better food and live music.

Anonymous Poli_Mis July 10, 2015 1:23 PM

I've been here in Austin since early Wednesday morning and the weather has been great. This is very nice for Austin at this time of year -- usually a lot hotter. You know, cuz climate change.

Blogger JaimeInTexas July 10, 2015 9:49 PM

No, no, no, heil no.

Floridians are nothing but hammer lane snails. Gawd, do they get driver licenses from gumball machines?
