And they said it would never catch on

Isn't it fascinating how "cuckservative" bothers both the spineless GOP supporters of the post-1965 invasion as well as The New York Times? I wonder why that might be? But regardless, we have it straight from the Gray Lady: "the term has caught on".
Cuckservative is an amalgamation of the word cuckold — the husband of an adulterous woman — and conservative. The implication is that mainstream Republicans, like jilted husbands, are facing humiliation and have lost sight of their futures.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors hate groups, called the term the “ultimate insult” that the white nationalist movement can deliver to politicians who they feel have veered too far to the left. “The term, at its core, may be racist,” the group said.

Many who use the #cuckservative hashtag on Twitter espouse the view that the United States is shifting from a white-dominated country to one that caters too much to minority groups.

The radical nature of those ideas along with the pornographic connotations associated with “cuckold” have made the word a subject of hand-wringing among some conservative commentators.

“There is a community of conservatives who think Republicans should be racists,” said Jim Harper, a scholar at the Cato Institute. “I think there is probably a relatively sizable number of people out there who see the term ‘cuckservative’ as a valid criticism of conservatives.”

Erick Erickson, the conservative media personality, condemned those who throw around the word as a handful of racist Internet trolls who hate Christians and support an agenda of white supremacism.
So, who are you going to trust? Those "conservatives" whose opinions are in line with the NYT and the SPLC and don't wish to conserve the literal nation per se, or those who actually wish to conserve the nation proper, as in the "us and our posterity" for whom the Constitution was written?

After all, there is another, more accurate term for those the cuckservatives like to describe as "New Americans". And that is "Not Americans". Unlike a sports team, a nation is not laundry.

Just yesterday, I was up at my office at the college and one of my hard-core Marxist coworkers came by and we started talking, and the conversation came to this very topic. Without blinking an eye, she said that people who would not adapt to our culture need to be sent home. While she supported the right of parents to teach their children about their own culture, when they participated in public events, it needed to be in English, with our American culture as the basis. If that was not suitable, then the home country was waiting for them.

There is no way she would have said this last year.

To put it another way, the smartest blacks are a lot smarter than the dumbest whites.

This table from the Journal Of Blacks in Higher Education says otherwise. http://www.jbhe.com/latest/news/1-22-09/satracialgapfigure.gif The average SAT for blacks from families that earn over $200,000 per year is 981, while the average for whites from families that earn under $20,000 a year is 978 only 3 points lower. Oh wait you mean the smartest Octoroon/ Hexadecaroon is smarter than the dumbest whites.

"East Asians have not done much since their imperial china/japan killed or made eunuchs out of the creative people."

Yes, the far East entered a period of decline around the same time the West was experiencing a Renaissance. It does look like the pendulum is swinging back in the other direction though. Just to take one example I happened to see today, Samsung came out with a 16 TB SSD drive: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2971268/storage/samsung-takes-worlds-largest-storage-drive-crown-with-16tb-ssd.html#tk.rss_all

China, Korea, Japan, as well as India to some extent have just about caught up with the West technologically, if not surpassed it. Check the average internet speed in South Korea vs. the US, where most electronics are both designed and made, and look through some of the last names of people publishing articles in engineering journals. The roles have started to reverse and it is now the West making eunuchs of the creative people through political correctness, which East Asia does not care about at all.

"What silly comments on IQ. Jews and East Asians have the Highest IQ's. Sorry Whites."

Ashkenazi (i.e. Europeanized) Jews have high IQs, but tend to be pretty neurotic. East Asians also do, but the difference is (from what I have read) only about 5 IQ points on average. They are also unemotional to a fault, which gives whites the advantage in certain situations.

Average IQ for physicians and engineers, depending on discipline/specialty is about the same, around 120-125. Most physicians skew towards verbal reasoning at the expense of spatial reasoning where most engineers skew the opposite direction.

I've worked a lot with both physicians and engineers, I've met many of both groups that I would consider dumbasses.

Though I will admit to finding the physician-dumbass flavor to be more grating than the engineering-dumbass because their weaknesses often coincide with my strengths. As I am sure a dumbass engineer would grate on a smart physician.

When I used to design MRI monitoring equipment, I remember talking with an Peds Anesthesiologist, whose job it was to sedate small children so they would lie still in the bore of the magnet. Steven Pinker's The Blank Slate is a great read. Speaking of sea changes, The Bell Curve, in 1994, elicited spittle-spewing condemnation, but the 2002 The Blank Slate was received with relative equanimity.

@Danby "f you can articulate a reason for it, it's a deduction. If you can't it's gas.

If you can articulate a reason for it, it's not an intuition."

Maybe you should read up on logic before you start lecturing about it. A deduction is an argument which is valid. "Valid" does not mean, "correct", it means that it is logically impossible for the premises to be true and the conclusion to be false. Almost no arguments outside of logic and mathematics are deductions.

All reasoning uses intuition, even in math and logic. It is intuition that tells you that 1+2=2+1. It is intuition that tells you that the two opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal. It is intuition that you use to draw conclusions from experience. Even though you can give your experience as a reason, you use intuition to draw the conclusions. Intuition is not the same as feeling.

Your reasoning is no more logical or deductive than the people you are criticizing. You are just failing to understand their comments about the limits of rationality and failing to understand that you are subject to those same limits.

It's the same thing when atheists attack Christians for relying on faith rather than reason. Christians don't rely on faith rather than reason. What Christians do is recognize the inherent limitations of reason--limitations that apply to atheists every bit as much as to Christians--and honestly acknowledge where they get their premises. Then atheists, who have no idea where their own premises come from attack the Christians for being self aware.

Doc Rampage @225:

I agree up to a point. It is true that every step of a mathematical proof is an intuition. However, that only means that the relationship between intuition and logic is that the correctness of a proof is partially dependent on getting the size of the intuition gaps -- the distance of the leaps -- down to where everyone else (of sufficient intelligence) can say yes, that is true.

If someone cannot get their intuition gaps down to that point, then that is a failure to prove correctness. They may be right, but we have no obligation to respect their unproven opinion just because they call it an intuition instead of a feeling or a vision or a whatever.

Meaning can be modeled. The models can be mathematically expressed. Mathematically modeled meanings can have their consequences computed and tested. Intuition inheres throughout, and beauty and correctness are emergent throughout. The practicality of this system of math and logic is the most lucrative artifact mankind has ever devised. It is so much fun.

Blogger Danby August 15, 2015 1:41 AM

@Doc,
Do NOT lecture me about reason and Logic. I was reading Logic when your father was still crapping his pants for amusement.
That said, I was not using the formal meaning of deduction "a conclusion reached as a syllogism" but rather I was using the common meaning of the word deduction, "a conclusion based of evidence and logic"

Intuition is not a conclusion reached in the absence of formal deduction. Intuition is a conclusion reached without any deduction at all, without any evidence adduced to it. It is something "just known" without a cognizable reasoning process.
Knowledge of the commutative property of addition (1+2=2+1) is the result of pattern recognition and abstraction, as well as the identity principle, (A=A) which is itself a natural result of the abstraction of the concept of identity. The opposite angle of a parallelogram being equal is actually a ludicrous example. It was proven in Euclid's Elements, in the form of a rigorous mathematical proof.

None of this is intuition.

1. Danby @231 you have no idea what you are talking about. In accordance with the rules of the blog I challenge you to either provide a proof of commutativity of addition using nothing but "patterns" and the law of identity or admit that you were bullshitting. No fair bringing in the Peano axioms or something like that. Such axioms are themselves the results of intuition and by introducing them you are begging the question. Or, just look up "Logicist" and read how an entire school of philosophers and mathematicians tried and failed to prove that mathematics does not rely on intuition.

Joshua @240: You are failing to distinguish between reasoning that IS intuition and reasoning that USES intuition. All reasoning uses intuition. Mathematical axioms are intuitive. The steps in a non-mathematical argument are tied together by intuition. What makes an argument good, in mathematics or the real world is not in avoiding intuition which is impossible, but in keeping the intuitive steps small enough that other people have the same intuitions and will agree with you.

"And on what basis is this the “natural order of things”?"

Common sense? Obvious historical trends/facts? "Birds of a feather flock together," as they say. How is it NOT natural for people of similar religion/interests/culture/politics and/or with family ties to live in closer proximity (ceteris paribus)?

@241

"they steal ideas from whites"

Granted, India and China are not known for their slavish devotion to intellectual property law, but can you admit that a lot of that is learning, rather than stealing? This is a normal historical process. For example, the Gothic style in architecture can be seen in England, but originated in France, where it developed based on Roman models that were borrowed from Greece. Those were no doubt influenced by more ancient Mesopotamian sources. My point about the 16 TB SSD was that Koreans have learned from the West, AND then gone on to improve it. I don't really have a problem with that, I'm not going to sit here and say "whites invented everything," when there is always some prior source. I respect their ability to learn and improve. (H1B visas are a separate issue -- I'm taking about people working in their own country -- Samsung is based in Korea.) And extrapolating from current trends, with Korean kids spending 14+ hours a day studying, and Americans watching TV and getting indoctrinated in political correctness, one might start to think that the future of technological development is more and more in Asia rather than the West.

Blogger overcaffeinated August 15, 2015 11:09 PM

Additionally, BGS, have you been to Korea? These are dedicated, no-nonsense, ambitious people. The whole atmosphere there is a lot more "grown-up" and serious than in the West. There are no drugs, hipsters, or women's studies majors. They are not just sitting around waiting for whitey to do something smart so they can copy it (that is more of India and China's MO).

I suspect people are looking in the wrong direction here. The greatest danger to White American prosperity is all the Orientals, dot heads, top-tenth Africans and others who will take the middle-class and upper MC jobs.

The mezistos have issues but they will largely settle into an underclass. The more talented ones are also the least ethnocentric + their European genetics will ultimately preserve some solidarity against the genuine non-European H1B'rs.

I agree, grimlock. Just as the Mexicans are brought in to displace lower-skilled Whites, the others are brought in to displace middle class Whites. The imported people get a better life than what they had at home, and will support the regime that gave it to them. Until they have enough power to displace the regime.

“Where did I write that only "100% Anglo stock" are American?”

Dear, only “true Americans” are those with pure British ancestry, or so I’ve been told.
Is this argument from your standpoint flawed?

“By my reasoning, British-Americans who root for Britain over the US in the Olympic games are not American.”

There is a difference between a American citizen of Chinese or British descent who roots for China or Great Britain in the Olympic Games vs. being an American citizen of Chinese or British descent who roots for China or Great Britain over the United States. You made two different claims. You can’t even keep things straight. In BOTH instances, the Chinese or British dude may have family or friends who are in the Olympics and therefore have a personal reason why, in that particular instance, they are rooting against the American.

“they may teach you that being an American is purely an administrative matter, but we know otherwise.”

Who is “we”?

“How is it NOT natural for people of similar religion/interests/culture/politics and/or with family ties to live in closer proximity (ceteris paribus)?”

Americans are a grab-bag of people. Indeed, it is natural for them to live close to one another. Furthermore, we have "legal" segregation in this country. If white people want to live far away from black people, or vice versa, they are able to engage in this behavior.

But what you are trying to do is artificially create a category of people that are of the “same flock” by discounting those people who belong in that category.

Holy shit that's brilliant! But I live in California... I guess I can change it to "10 million guys from Montana?

Imp: I made no claim that only those of pure British descent are true Americans, so shove that back through the orifice it came out of. You're caught in bullshit, so don't try to wipe it off on me.

Where did I make two separate clams? More bullshit you're trying to not step in.

To clarify the special case you invented, an American who roots for a foreign friend or relative at the Olympics is rooting for the friend or relative, not for the country they come from. Their loyalty is to the individual friend or relative, not the foreign country.

"We" is us Americans, whose loyalty is to our country, as opposed to "Americans" who are loyal to China, Mexico, or Israel.
