Cuckservative speech police

It's increasingly clear that the cuckservatives are the SJWs of the Right, being the self-appointed speech police:
Conservative commentator Erick Erickson on Friday night disinvited GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump from speaking at an activist conference he is hosting here this weekend, citing disparaging remarks Trump made hours earlier on CNN about Fox News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Erickson said Trump had been scheduled to speak at his RedState gathering on Saturday at the College Football Hall of Fame, but he told Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s campaign manager, about an hour before midnight that Trump was no longer welcome....

Erickson, a Fox News regular and face of the popular RedState blog, has long been a foe congressional GOP leaders and an ally of conservative grass-roots organizers. He has also drawn criticism for saying impolitic things, once calling retired Supreme Court Justice David Souter an “[expletive] child molester” and First Lady Michelle Obama a “Marxist harpy.” He has since apologized for both comments.

Trump’s words about Kelly simply went too far, Erickson said Friday, making him, someone who enjoys and appreciates barbed political rhetoric, uncomfortable and queasy. And with his invited guest dominating the 2016 race, and few if any conservatives reining him in, Erickson thought he’d try.

The following is a transcript:

Why did you disinvite Trump?

I think there is a line of decency that even a non-professional politician can cross. Suggesting that a female journalist asking you a hostile question is hormone related, I think, is one of those lines.

Do you see yourself as a referee for the conservative movement to keep Trump from riling the race?

You know, no. I’m trying to be lenient with him. I told his campaign manager a few days ago that there have been a lot of people in the party who refuse to treat him legitimately even though he’s the front-runner. And I didn’t want to give him a hard time. I felt bad that one of event’s agendas didn’t have his name on it and felt badly about that, let him know. I don’t like that I have to disinvite him. But there are bounds of what’s acceptable in our discourse and they’re not different for you, or me, or someone else. I’m not going to have a guy on stage with my wife and daughter in the crowd who thinks a tough question from a woman is because of hormones.
There is NO PLACE in cuckservatism for anyone who doesn't kowtow before the feminist line. These guys are perma-losers both politically and socio-sexually. And like the SJWs and gamma males they are, they are hell-bent on keeping the more successful men in the same subservient place they are, at the base of the pedestal.

Look at how he reduces the American political process to an appeal to the emotional authority of his wife and daughter. What a pathetic excuse for what purports to be a man!

Greg from 108 ‏is right. For the cuckservative, as for the SJW, "appearing "not racist" or "not sexist" takes precedence over everything, even the Constitution and the rule of law."

We need an online registry of cuckservatives, so when it comes to be time for voting, people can look it up and see who's on the registry so they can not vote for them.

Anonymous smedley butler August 08, 2015 9:08 AM

Trump seems to be doing what the tea party could not, which is avoid being controlled by GOP Inc.

The MSM and GOP Inc. keep trying to claim that Trump is devoid of substance, but he really pointed out some inconvenient economic truths lately. For instance, in the debate, he talked about how he gave tons of money to people in both parties, because that's how the system works, and that way he can control these people (e.g. having Hillary go to his wedding, or Rudy dress in drag).

Anonymous smedley butler August 08, 2015 9:13 AM

And this is how Trump controls and humiliates those he buys off, especially Cuckservatives:

Aww, the poor little guy. He felt "uncomfortable and queasy". Why, that's the worst thing that ever happened to anyone, ever! Of course he should cry to Mommy to make the bad mans go away.

That is lulzy. I would vote for Trump just because he does things like that. I hope he starts a television show broadcasting the daily humiliations he forces on cuckservatives and liberals in the Oval Office.

They're clowns anyway, might as well make it official.

I’m not going to have a guy on stage with my wife and daughter in the crowd who thinks a tough question from a woman is because of hormones.

If nothing else, the cuck crowd is consistent. They'll go on all day about Girl Power™ and brag about how strong and thoroughbred their stable is. But as soon as you stop pulling punches when these chicks enter the arena, out come the sensibility cannons and tone police.

And then, there is the icing on the cake.

On a separate note, Rand Paul should drop out now and endorse Trump - Cruz. I think Trump is open to ideas and Rand should definitely try to get Trump's ear on some of Rand's good policy prescriptions.

Also, Trump seems to be courting Cruz to be VP, where Cruz could be a big help to Trump on legal and legislative issues.

Our country is on the brink of disaster and a man who quite possibly is the only man who stands a chance of stopping the decline is not allowed to "be a choice for the American people" because he is rude in some opinions?

The power structure is scared to death of this man. He has to be real.

Internet hate speech prosecutions are coming. Will new laws be written and prosecution allowed retroactively, to say 5 years ago?

This is far more than Donald Trump.

We are at a crossroads and there will be no going back if they drive him out and tell us we aren't allowed to consider him.

Anonymous Gator August 08, 2015 9:44 AM

Holy cow... e.e. has lost totally lost it now, whatever was left. And he's now invoked his family to justify his very public, very political, very whiny behavior. I hope that doesn't backfire on him.

But then, of course this act of great moral courage is going to make him the darling of all who are pure and correct. Why I even hear that the great B.O. is thinking mightily hard about inviting e.e to Hawaii next time. That will make it all worthwhile - and maybe he'll get dinner with... ah never mind. I wouldn't want to suggest any impropriety with certain other celebrity. That would be bad peepz.

The great moment in alpha for all of this is that Meghan Kelly was upset not just about tweets of Rosie O, but that Trump previously tweeted that Kelly was a Bimbo. After Kelly's cross examination during the debate, Trump retweeted that Kelly was a Bimbo.

Yes, I and others have noticed a couple of things about his "Red State" site: it has an intolerant ban happy commenting section, merely disagreeing with the party line results in accusations of being a shill, and it sure looks like he redesigned the site to make other people's more popular "diaries" much less prominent.

Before the 2013 Israeli election, Trump recorded a video message endorsing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“You truly have a great prime minister in Benjamin Netanyahu. He’s a winner, he’s highly respected, he’s highly thought of by all,” Trump said in the 30-second spot. “Vote for Benjamin – terrific guy, terrific leader, great for Israel.”

What I took from the debate clips was there were no clear.. winners. Several of the candidates looked better then I thought they would. Ben Carson surprised me even though I had written him off as a "one trick pony" he at least has some idea what the liberals are doing this nation and articulated it. Paul and Christy Cream both came out as losers, neither is suitable for the top spot. Attacks on Trump by Fox News were plain as day. Fair enough, get it out in the open for all to see and Trump handled himself well enough.

Being in metro Atlanta, all I hear on the radio this morning is about this red state thing, and EE disinviting Trump.

EE has a nightly radio show here, and I usually tune it out when I hear his terrible show music begin. I don't really dislike him, but he has something really odd about him that I haven't pinned down, until now.

This whole thing about having a 7 year old daughter and wife along, while nice for a family outing, should not be the deciding factor of something that 10 presidential candidates are at the event.

Really, a 7 year old is not going to be voting anyway (as far as we know), so why is that a deciding factor in what happens at his event?

If he's worried about common decency, then he should worry about it at his own event. Not for things that have happened out side of that event. Yes, it is his event. So it's easy to sit here and criticize him. At least he offered to pay back the money of people who had gone there specifically to see Trump.

Immigration reform and the destruction of the PC Cultural Marxist nightmare that has infected our country. Other than that, he's a shell. That's why I think people like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz should look to fill that shell with their substantive ideas. I honestly think that Trump is an old fashioned New Yorker who is open to some good ideas. Just don't be an idiot or a pussy when you confront Trump on these ideas.

Rand was an idiot when he didn't listen to what Trump actually said about healthcare, because Rand could have jumped from Trump's point about how the healthcare reg structure is distorting the market and elaborated. Instead, Rand didn't listen and tried to lecture Trump about single payer. Trump naturally slapped Rand down with "you're having a hard time tonight."

Here's an interesting comment from a woman posting on Megyn Kelly's facebook:

"You are a falling star after your display last night. I hope Trump gets in. Funny thing Megyn.... before the debate started hubby and I said to each other... wouldn't Megyn make a great press secretary to Trump? Now most of your fans can't stand you after your pitiful, arrogant unprofessionalism reared it's ugly head."

All Trump has to do is gush over his wife and kiss her in public, al la Al Goreleoni and Tipper or Slick Willy dancing with Hildabeast on the beach after inserting cigars in Monica.

There is a strange psychology that women feel sexually attracted to men they invest resentment and hatred toward. His ten billion will also go a long way with women as well.

Yeah, about Trump and the battle flag...

Newly-minted presidential candidate Donald Trump joined his fellow Republican contenders Tuesday in calling for the South Carolina legislature to remove the Confederate flag from the statehouse grounds.

"I think they should put it in the museum and let it go," Trump said of the flag during an appearance at his new golf course in the Washington, D.C. suburbs. "Respect whatever it is you have to respect, because it was a point in time, and put it in a museum. But I would take it down. Yes."

Yep. You see all the same tactics: shaming, divide-and-conquer, silencing debate, demanding apologies but continuing to punish the transgressor for the sin years later.

One big difference between SJWs and cuckservatives, though: SJWs generally attack their enemies. Cuckservatives keep their biggest guns trained on their own side.

Blogger Corvinus August 08, 2015 12:35 PM

Yeah, Trump is a cuckservative.

The only reason he's more likable is that he manages not to come across as one to most people due to being Alpha, and stick his foot outside of the Overton Window without moving his whole body through.

His knocking of illegal immigration, free trade, and political correctness is all well and good. But if he came out in favor of cutting legal immigration (including a complete cut-off of "refugee" admissions), and in favor of neutrality toward Israel, then we could really say he wasn't a cuckservative.

Trump's whining and butt hurt on twitter is not alpha.

What I don't think some people here are getting is that Trump is doing something very useful for the GOP: showing them how it's done. America needs an "American Spirit", a sense of nationality, something to fight for, a glimpse of life unburdened by the kind of thought-policing that America was founded to escape.

People are sick of feeling disowned, homeless, heritageless, disunited, and untrusting of each other. People are sick of only fighting against other things, but never for their people, their country, their homes. There's nothing here to fight for. People are sick of being told they can't say things. They are sick of being told that their cherished beliefs are lies, that they are the worst of all people - racists, sexists, homophobes, and dipshits. People want to feel welcome in their home, and America is our home.

Trump plays on these sentiments. Cuckservatives are part of the disease, and Trump is introducing political penicillin. Trump is the proof that the cure is possible and achievable, with the proper leadership.

Trump may not be that leader, but he is providing a template for such a leader.

Trump is an entertainer, Soga. He could take Reality TV to a new level.

Did anyone else watch The Apprentice? I was watching quite a bit of reality TV back then; there were a lot of fascinating Game concepts to be observed, especially in the earlier shows before they started scripting so much and constantly adding twists.

Anyway, the later seasons of The Apprentice got hokey fast, and I think Trump lost interest pretty quickly. But that first season was sorta brilliant. I came into it thinking, like most people, that Trump was a billionaire buffoon. And he kinda is in a way, but he makes it okay by being entirely comfortable with himself. The surprise was that he's also a really sharp guy. He has some major blind spots, especially regarding women, and he does a lot on instinct. But he has good instincts about a lot of things (except the aforementioned women). He usually fired the right people and made astute comments about what they did wrong.

I wouldn't want to have dinner with the guy, and I sure as hell wouldn't want to work for him -- I'm not nearly intense enough -- but I wouldn't bet against him in anything. If you want to get a picture of him without the politics, check out that first season. It's pretty entertaining anyway.

I sniffed out years ago Erick Erickson was a loser who had to be avoided at all costs.

Yes, I and others have noticed a couple of things about his "Red State" site: it has an intolerant ban happy commenting section, merely disagreeing with the party line results in accusations of being a shill, and it sure looks like he redesigned the site to make other people's more popular "diaries" much less prominent.

I attempted to link to a VDare article and the head editor would not allow the link. I requested they remove me from their database for being cowardly. VDare picked up on it and confronted the editor on Twitter.

Intellectual cowardice is the first mark of the cuckservative. They do not enter the arena of ideas, rather, they attempt to limit the 'fight'. The real fighters fight elsewhere.

As I thought... I'm done here. Can't reason with a statistical retard trying to use statistics (badly) to prove his point.

I know what random sampling is, my question was what does that have to do with my comment about low information voters.

I brought up that pool and the favorability numbers because someone made a comment about Trump's appeal to women.

Blogger Cail Corishev August 08, 2015 1:16 PM

so strange that the news media spends all their time trying to tone police the Donald, rather than pointing out his flip flops and his failures.

Not really. He should be asked about his flip-flopping on immigration; how a guy who gets a C- from Numbers USA can claim to be the only tough-on-immigration candidate. He should be challenged on whether his previous statements in support of amnesty were genuine, or whether he was just being PC -- and if the latter, how do we know he's being honest now? If his position has changed, when and why? If I were running the debate or interviewing him, I'd ask him those things, because if he's a serious candidate, they matter.

That's not gonna happen, though, because that would open up more discussion on immigration, which neither party nor the media wants. And Trump might even score points with his answers -- I can think of answers that would do so. They certainly can't accuse him of playing tough on immigration to appeal to voters, because the Narrative says that being anti-immigration is a minority position only held by some fringe, racist elements; so it should be political suicide, not a populist stance.

So they won't dig into any of that. They'll continue to tone-police, bring up irrelevant embarrassments from his past, and try to shame people away from supporting him. It's what they do best.

The First rule of ‘Diversity’: Diversity means everyone MUST think alike about ‘Diversity’.

The Second Rule of ‘Diversity’: Nobody must EVER point out the First Rule of ‘Diversity’

Diversity: Don't ever be the first to stop applauding.

Fuck Red State, Erick Erickson, Moe Lane, and some of the others there. While I don't agree Cuckservative = SJW, The Red Staters are definitely a tone-policing rabbit warren. Remember how they banned discussion of Ron Paul? Looks like they're gearing up to do the same to Trump at some point.

Red State was the web site that convinced me to stop voting and stay home.

he was asked those questions. Megyn destroyed him with them and he looked like a total moron on the stage.

The fact that that part of the debate isn't being plastered everywhere indicates to me that there is some other narrative someone is wanting to push and they don't want donald destroyed just yet.

Megyn sure does get sensitive for hard charger lawyer type.

Blogger Cail Corishev August 08, 2015 1:57 PM

Nate, I pulled down the transcript of the debate from cbsnews.com. I searched for "immigra" (to match immigration or immigrant), and found 20 matches. None of them were uttered by Kelly.

So I thought maybe she stuck with euphemisms like "undocumented workers," so I searched for Kelly and read all her questions. I don't find her addressing immigration at all. And the only questions she asks Trump are about calling women mean names and his stance on abortion.

I don't know if I can stomach reading the whole thing, but I can't find what you're talking about. Maybe CBS got an abridged version.

Blogger Patrick August 08, 2015 2:00 PM

That sounds about right. This was the "substantive" debate they wanted.

Anonymous Jack Amok August 08, 2015 2:05 PM

The situation is too bad to be "fixed" in any conventional sense. We know that. Nobody we elect is going to prevent the train wreck. Not Trump, not Paul, not Jindal, certainly not Arbustos. It's about who is going to set the stage for a faster recovery after the wreck.

I think the most important change needed is a willingness to openly - and successfully - challenge the Leftist religious dogmas behind most of our problems. To that end, the candidate that does the best job showing us how it's done gets my support. Even if Trump is nothing more than a shill as Nate claims, if people pick up on his example, we'll be far better off than whatever any of the other milquetoasts are likely to do.

5 companies out of hundreds of yours went bankrupt. What's the deal? Please limit your response to 30 seconds.

Your position on abortion and x, y, z, and z2 have changed over the years. Are you a flip flopped? Please limit your answer on these 5 separate issues to 30 seconds.

Blogger Tiny Tim August 08, 2015 2:16 PM

Great point David. It has all been worth it up to now.

Trump deserves our support for the next bout if nothing else.

He is in the coliseum facing down 100's of gladiators.

Some of this reminds me of the betrayal during the battle scene in Braveheart. A bunch of sniveling status quo types backstabbing.

Anonymous clk August 08, 2015 2:27 PM

For the Donald .. its all about the deal and his ego.

He is in a good position for a deal because he can force certain outcomes. He runs as Republican but keeps his options open as an Independent (watch for he working that issue in parallel). His only hope of winning is to be the Republican candidate but he can cause a lose for the Republicans if he goes Independent. The question for the RNC can the Donald beat Clinton in a general election ... the answer is probably yes if he gets all the Republican support and pulls some other support... Who he picks as his running mate will be key.,..

The RNC will have to deal with Trump... provided Trump can keep his level of support where it is now...

This is must see reality TV...

@142
You know know Trump has claimed several times he is going to build a wall on the border right
----------------------------

Yes, this is like a statement that many candidates have been saying since the 1990's. The only one I believed about it was Pat Buchanan.

Now in the case of DJT, he has upped the ante and claimed that he will make Mexico pay for it. So if he ends up president, and builds a wall, but doesn't get Mexico to pay for it, he will be considered a failure XD

America needs an "American Spirit", a sense of nationality, something to fight for, a glimpse of life unburdened by the kind of thought-policing that America was founded to escape."

Amen. This is how Rand Paul should have been doing things. Instead he's too much of coward to defend his own staff from neocon attacks.

When the bubble economy finally comes to an end, Trump's tactics show how someone with John Wayne balls and Ron Paul ideas can help our nation rise out of this PC mess.

we will see.

if Trump gets deep into the nomination process ( especially if he gets the nom ) and then has a Howard Dean "Hffffrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaghggghghgh" moment, then i'll consider that pretty good evidence that his run was an engineered psyop ... whose purpose was to discredit the valid anti-illegal complaints that TPTB have been trying to suppress.

provisionally concur, provided the Trumpster isn't used to smash "immigration concerns" as racist from here on out.

we're probably going to have to wait through most of 2016 before we find out what the final effect is, though.
