SJWs and parody

What is it with SJW parodies and long titles anyhow?

The Angel Vox Day and the War for the Heavenly Gamergate Puppies (Give Me a Hugo!): Chapter 1: The Wicked Victory of Shoeless John! (The Chronicles of ... Angel Vox Day and His Flaming Sword!!!!!!)
by Tim Lieder

John Scalzi Is Not A Very Popular Author And I Myself Am Quite Popular: How SJWs Always Lie About Our Comparative Popularity Levels by Theophilus Pratt aka Rainbow Brite Boy

My favorite aspect of this is the way in which they've now roped in John Scalzi to read a parody that draws attention to the fact that he lies about his traffic and jokes about being a rapist. Nearly 30 pages of audio of Rapey McRaperson talking about himself? The Pink Rabbit Posse is practically beside itself with anticipation.

It's also amusing how some SJWs are frantically insisting that they are totally LAUGHING and they find the whole thing HILARIOUS even as others talk about how depressed and upset and hurt they are. Remember, McRapey went with the whole "ha ha ha, this is SO ADORABLE" line for 26 months until he cracked and began angrily denouncing the "obvious lies" I was supposedly spreading about him.

SJWs always lie.

UPDATE: Apparently Peddy Phil didn't read Chapter 10.

23m23 minutes ago
Vox’s claim that SJWs aren’t really laughing at him is shrill and desperate even by his standards:

The basic idea is that if you can make the other person feel small or angry, you are winning at SJW rhetoric. This is why SJWs are constantly accusing other people of being mad or upset; it's just another way of them claiming to be winning the conversation.
Is it not fascinating how they repeatedly prove the truth of my words as they seek to undermine them?

I think it's so they don't trigger themselves. It's like the George Carlin skit about terms getting longer and longer. It used to be shell shocked and now it's post traumatic stress disorder. Less triggery.

"Thou hast triggered me!" And the SJW hurtled to Vox Day.

And Vox Day smote him sore right and left, and struck his steed to the ground.

"I'd liefer spare thee for Christ's mercy!"

"Invoking Christianity is a micro-aggression!"

"Fuck it, die, bitch!"

And the passing good knight Vox Day slew his foe.

More and more, these guys remind me of Vezzini in the poisoned wine scene in "The Princess Bride" - they start with the assertion that they're so awesomely brilliant and clever that nobody comes close to how brilliant and clever they are, but faced with a patient and unflappable enemy grow increasingly worried and verbose and hysterical as they realize that through this hubris they've gotten themselves into a situation they can't control, even through underhanded means.

The rebel General looked down at the wide expanse below him the once fertile fields of SciFi. The population was thirsty, it hungered for meat, but those who ruled had commanded a vegan diet! Yes this was euphemistic to an undescriptive degree.

The General vowed years before that he would return to this land and fight a holy war against the SJW hordes that had taken the land and held the people hostage. The time had come and the battle for the fertile fields was nigh. He knew that the battles ahead of him would be ugly, the enemy even uglier but in the end he would build a throne of their skulls and a nice set of goblets too.

He turned back to face his soldiers, some of them by his side others near the camp fires.

“Sharpen your blades, my minions! Tonight we eat well, sleep well and tomorrow we fertilize the fields with the blood of our enemies!” General Vox announced “Tomorrow we shall take no prisoners!”

Somewhere down below a cow looks up toward the plateau and mews.

@36:"What *is* it about SJWs and Doctor Who? I mean, I like Doctor Who too, but it seems almost every single SJW and/or leftist proclaims a special love for the series."

Doctor Who is made by the BBC, one of the largest Cultural Marxist organizations on the planet. Back in the 60s/70s/80s, it was just a kid's show, with a whiff of SJW about it, but the new revamp is as Politically Correct as any other BBC drama show of the last twenty years.

Hence, for example, the way the Doctor is now only really there to be bossed around by female companions. Pretty soon, they'll get rid of him altogether.

Heck, maybe they already have. I stopped watching it years ago.

The funny part, of course, is that the Evil Enemy in the show are the Daleks, who are a strict, centralized bureaucracy want to exterminate everyone who disagrees with them. Hey, who does that remind you of?

Blogger Daniel August 29, 2015 6:00 PM

Tor should put out Can't Write Don't Right (why SJW parody sucks) and get a bestseller that is not a media tie in.

SJWs make up for their inability to write well by writing a lot. Wall of Text is their safe space.

Anonymous Nemo Maximus August 29, 2015 6:04 PM

I have to step up and defend Dr. Who here to some extent. While there has certainly been a gender freakshow going on, there have also been several major and long term character arcs showing wimpy millennial pajama boys growing into badass heros (c.f. Mickey the Idiot and Rory Williams). There's more than a whiff of red pill about these characters, by British standards at least.

The last season also featured an episode titled "Kill the Moon" which is so clearly an anti-abortion parable that I don't see how they managed to get it past the censors at Mother Beeb.

Not perfect by any means, but progress.

Blogger Cail Corishev August 29, 2015 6:11 PM

What *is* it about SJWs and Doctor Who?

They've sorta claimed it as their show and projected themselves on it. It does appear to be reliably PC -- I watched the first season or so of the relaunch, and I hear it's gotten more gay since then, but so has the NFL, so that's hardly unusual. It may be written in such a way that it's easy to read your own beliefs into it, but normal people can enjoy it without reading all the stuff into it that SJWs do. They're like a cult that found some old book and analyzed it to death until convinced that every passage had a prophetic meaning specific to them.

That kind of thing is typical, because group-think is so critical for them. They can't just go enjoy what they like individually; they have to agree that one thing is The Best so they can all worship it together and make sure they're all expressing the same thoughts about it. After all, if you were an SJW who thought Star Trek was better than Dr. Who, what might that say about you? What's wrong with you that's going to be targeted someday? Better to get on the bandwagon and argue about something safe, like which Doctor is the best.

Blogger Jim August 29, 2015 6:19 PM

What *is* it about SJWs and Doctor Who?

1) Wish fulfilment.

Most SJW's are broken, marginal people. Even in naively utopian sci-fi like Star Trek, there's a meritocracy, people have jobs, and there are rules to follow.

Rainbow haired butterball xe-twinks, if they have a scrap of self-awareness, realise that they wouldn't be Starfleet captains in the Trek universe. They wouldn't even be redshirts. They'd be lucky if they got a job mopping up the holodeck after Riker's private sessions.

Dr. Who is a fantasy series about a kindly, immortal demigod who whisks people away from their disappointing lives to have magical adventures where they discover how unique and special they are. Even a Sandifer might turn out to be a badass in the Whoverse.

2) They fucking hate science.

A recurring theme in SJW SFF is that they really don't care for science, my love. When they claim to love science, they mean they love being thought to be smart. Actual science - with its laws and its limits and its endless parade of white dudes doing clever white dude stuff in white lab coats in gleaming white laboratories - tends to bore or offend them.

So your Treks and your BSG and your Star Warses and so on, though they play fast and loose with scientific plausibility, at least respect the audience enough to technobabble over the cracks. They're still based in universes which are bound by physics.

Dr. Who, on the other hilariously fat, limp, girlish hand, is science-free sci-fi. It uses science as set dressing, nothing more. They could call it "magic" or "arsebiscuits", and it would make no difference to the plot, such as it is.

Dr Who is about feels, not reals.

3) Fanservice

By law, Dr. Who isn't allowed to air an episode without at least one egregious, gratuitous reference to bum-banditry or hairy-arsed lezzing. But that's just scraping the crusty, bejizzled surface of the AIDS-riddled hentai pillow that is Who.

There's also bestality, with human-reptilian lesbian couples kicking arse in Victorian England. And feminism. And race trolling galore.

It's perfect for the Tumblr set.

I've never heard an SJWs mew... I'm confused?

Blogger Cail Corishev August 29, 2015 6:34 PM

An example on Dr. Who: in the season I watched, a guy named Jack showed up, to be a foil in the romance that was kinda simmering between the Doctor and the girl. It was the usual thing: one guy had a chance with her for a while and didn't make a move, and now a smoother guy comes along to sweep her off her feet and the first guy suddenly realizes he wanted her more than he thought.

Anyway, because of one jokey line from Jack about liking the Doctor's looks, and the fact that he was from the future when of course people will be more enlightened and unrestricted in their sexual preferences, fans exploded with excitement: finally some gay action! Now, maybe the show did go that direction; I don't know. But at the time it was just a hint, yet as far as the dominant portion of the fan base was concerned, it was a done deal at that point that Jack was fully bi-sexual and a Jack/Doctor relationship was a given. They couldn't talk about the show without bringing up all the intense sexual tension they were convinced was there between the two male characters.

I think one reason I stopped watching the show was that you couldn't go chat about it anywhere without running into Hoyay! talk, and then it was hard to watch the show without seeing a scene and thinking, "Oh great, that'll get them going again." It's like if every NFL forum were filled with people talking about which linemen's asses look the best when they bend over.

Not anymore his enemy the Master has gender bended into the Mistress who tries to steal kisses from him. There is also the weeping angels who are powerless if you look at them.

Mind you, this kind of sexuality likely includes triggers that most tasteful people find very unsexy--pencil sharpeners, diseased people, wood chippers, the elderly, car tail pipes, children.

Any remotely sane person would consider being in a near-constant state of arousal triggered by nearly anything to be horrifying. Then again, these are SJWs we're talking about.

Anonymous Strange Aeons August 29, 2015 8:26 PM

I'll admit, I initially thought these parodies were simply gag book titles that came up in some unclever rabbit warren conversation, or perhaps some Photoshop phuckery.
But it appears some Thought Cop frantically cobbled together a book of sorts in a desperate attempt to counter SJWAL and defend the Narrative.
I think it's that tub with the Fruit Loops bangs but not sure, can't tell them apart.
Anyways, as always, let the sales and stats speak for themselves. I have abundant faith in SJWAL to outshine its poor parodies by far, and am currently greatly enjoying my own copy.

It may simply be the leftist content in the newer series.

To give credit where it's due, the basic concept of Doctor Who really is a clever idea for a low-budget weekly sf series. Most of what I've seen of the Doctor is the original with David Hartwell, before they piled on the more elaborate mythos. It's a crotchety old mad scientist with a box that go anywhere in space and time, and some stowaways who travel with him. Very low budget, like the production of an ambitious community theater, with obviously cardboard and plywood sets on a tiny soundstage. Veers back and forth between space opera and historical drama. The space opera is so-so and makes The Outer Limits look expensive, but some of the historical chapters, especially "The Aztecs," really are good. It's camp, but it's bold, ambitious, and very creative camp. I can see why it's a franchise that won't die.

@73 Civis Silas
But, you see, he'd even be attracted to doughy amorphous SJWs who insist that people should find them attractive even though they don't lift a finger to make themselves attractive. So Jack was a HUGE hit.

I'm not kidding when I say he appealed to the body positivity crowd. I've seen their posts.

Sadly, he'd be more likely than not to cheat on them with their own mobility scooters.

But it appears some Thought Cop frantically cobbled together a book of sorts in a desperate attempt to counter SJWAL and defend the Narrative.

This particular Thought Cop is Alexandra Erin, a reainbow-haired twink who couldn't even get laid as a bottom feeder in a dark bathhouse, so he decided to aim even lower and target the genderfluid sexual marketplace. If you've ever dealt with him in a forum (File770 in my case), you will have noted that he will literally put up 5kword blog comments, every word of it striking a studied rational dialectic pose, despite a complete inability to parse a syllogism, and furious denials of observable reality. Twenty-eight pages is the work of an hour at most for him. Of course 90% of it is wishful thinking and posing.

He's a piece of work and no mistake.

You know Vox, this genial book of yours is like giving the ENTIRE VFM Army SJW livers served with some nice fava beans and a niiiiice Chianti ! flflflblblblpppp

Okay, I tried....I really tried to get though a Dr. Who episode, tried one of the first and then one from the late 80s, but I couldn't, didn't last even fifteen minutes before screaming and hitting the stop button on the NetFlix video.

Does that mean there is something wrong with me - or something right?

We Stink at Succinct: an SJW parody

i'm sorry, this attempt at an SJW title is too short by at least an order of magnitude.

also, your rhyming of 'stink' and 'succinct' betrays an unfortunate skill with the language which is unlikely to be observed amongst their kind.

therefore, i'm going to have to ask you to refrain from further attempts at rhetoric and simulated SJW mummery.

Blogger JartStar August 29, 2015 11:39 PM

The long titles are an attempt a mockery. Book title: "A = B" SJW Parody of the title: "I Know So Much About Letters and the Equal Sign I Can Place Them Next to Each Other Perfectly". It's an attempt to disqualify something by mocking the person saying it like a child, "OK, Mr. Smartypants! Why don't you tell us with your big brain and logic stuff?" This allows the rabbits to immediately see that the opponent is using dialectic to make a point and so it must be avoided, and rhetoric as always is the answer.

@86: Most of the Doctor Who shows are... not very good... unless you happened to grow up with them. They did have some interesting ones in the 70s and 80s when they pulled in real SF writers, but mostly it was just an adventure show for kids made with a budget of about $10.

Try 'Dalek', one of the first episodes of the revamped show, before it went gay. And note that the Doctor, who SJWs apparently love, had committed mass genocide, until they managed to retcon it away in a later season.

I don't believe that man's ever been to medical school.

"We should not assume someone’s gender by their appearance, nor by what is listed on a roster or in student information systems"

In other words, under no circumstances should you let reality dictate your opinions or behaviour.

This is, remember, officially a place of learning. It wiuld be surprising if people did not need medication after being immersed in this sewerage for years at a time.

What is it with SJW parodies and long titles anyhow?

My guess is that they're trying to imitate their favorite Japanese novels/anime (current) trope of Overly Long Titles. SJWs would certainly like deviant shit like the current crop of anime/manga/novel thrash that goes on in Japan these days.

The character was not "gay", the character would have sex with anyone or anything apparently.

Wait... That's not the definition of being "gay"?

Groot, I second Wyrd's recommendation for the next Wolfe to read. The Soldier books are my favorite Wolfe.

334 - thank you, but please... no genuflecting. That may be appropriate in front of the Dark Lord's Throne of Bones, but I'm a humble VFM and require only a modest tithe of SJW-meat.

No Erins though.

Were-Puppy - Think of the future suffering I have saved you. If the Ludovico technique was real, poor Alex would've been forced to watch Who till his yarbles fell off.
