The White Knight of Red State

There is nothing a fat white Delta enjoys more than nobly riding forth to defend the honor of a woman he finds attractive. It's so cringeworthy, it almost makes you feel embarrassed for them. I could just about smell the stench of self-righteousness all the way across the ocean when Eric Erickson proudly announced that he had invited Dulcinea del Kelly to take the place of the evil Donald Trump, whose uncouth words might assail the virgin ears of his wife and daughter.

Erik Erickson doesn't understand the source of Trump's popularity. Excluding him from his big, establishment party is not going to diminish Trump's stature in the eyes of disgruntled republicans. If anything it may give Trump street cred. These people never learn.

Anonymous Gx1080 August 09, 2015 3:29 PM

What I find hilarious is:

a)How many women are defending Trump on Kelly's Facebook page. And even on the New York Beta Times. The power of Game, ladies and gentlemen.

b)The hubris of the GOP leadership, that thought that they could just say "here's Jeb, deal with it", proved to be their downfall, by opening the door for a candidate that just had to be as loudly anti-Jeb as possible. They even had the bad luck of getting a man that can deal with the soggy knees attacks.

"Trump can't win" is the meme. But even lefties are not fully commiting to it. Watching them getting triggered at Trump is hilarious.

Blogger Josh August 09, 2015 3:31 PM

It's hilarious seeing people point out all the not nice things Erickson has said in the past.

Blogger Nate August 09, 2015 3:36 PM

For a white republican, Josh, those are extremely high value defenders. If his campaign is smart they will beat the other candidates about their heads and shoulders with his "spontaneous outpouring of support from the black community".

Trumps big brash mouth is pure silverback signaling to black folks.

Anonymous rienzi August 09, 2015 3:48 PM

I have been waiting all my adult life for a Republican presidential candidate that had more backbone than a piece of overcooked linguine. Someone who would sneer back at the press. Someone who just didn't give a damn if he was polite or nice. Someone who would go after the other side like a coked-up Genghis Khan.

Who the devil really knows what is in the mind of the Donald, or what he stands for. Maybe even he doesn't.

Buy I would take him in a heartbeat over those spineless, lily-livered, go-along to get -along, castrati poodles that are the "acceptable" candidates.

So he ends up losing? So what? If any of the other candidates win, we still lose. May as well do it with some swagger and style.

Anybody that's ever spent a minute around black people would not be surprised Trump would do well with them. He won't get the majority of black votes, but it'll be several times what any other Rep would get.

Here's what bothers me most about Donald: his debate performance and subsequent comments demonstrated to enough people that he can't win and that despite his bluntness there is no there there. This means he won't ever poll higher than 20% or so. The problem with this is that it will convince Donald not to waste his money and go independent.

As long as Walker, Paul, Cruz, and Jindal come out of this campaign in a positive light, it means Trump was not a disaster. All four could easily run again in the coming years, they're all young enough, and if they take this time to ally themselves with somebody the public sees as a hardliner on immigration, and associate themselves with anti-immigration, then we have several good candidates for the future who could run again even if they lose this time.

It's the long game that counts, it's what the Left has been doing for over a century. Of course, round 2 could start next year and then none of this matters. Either way.

He may decide to get in for real simply because the Republicans are so uniformly awful. Rand Paul, in particular, is a disappointment. He won't win. And if he did, he wouldn't even slow down the fall a little. He might even speed it up.

But if you're going to go off a cliff, might as well do it with glorious abandon.

The significance of Trump is that he has completely disproved the idea that you have to play soft moderate to win. I've been pointing out for years that Reagan won a landslide by running strong right. Leaders have to LEAD, not follow. There is no such thing as a leader who follows the polls. Trump is in it for his own purposes. The Democrats wouldn't risk using him as a tool for Hillary, and it would be unnecessary for them to do so anyways. With the exception of Bush, nobody on the stage last week showed any hint of being able to win an election against the Hildabeast.

The hubris of the GOP is that they think (a) they have superior principles and (b) that principles matter in major elections. The only thing that matters is how effectively a candidate can sway the mean population with rhetoric. It's a game of who's the better bullshit artist -- a game Trump plays far more effectively than the GOP, the media, or Hillary.

I'm surprised to hear you say it might be anything other than deflection for Jeb.

I am paying next to no attention to the US presidential election. I barely know who is running. I very much doubt it makes any difference whatsoever whether the Democratic faction or the Republican faction wins.

I do like Trump standing up to the media, however briefly he does it, but that's as far as my interest goes. None of the Republicans, including Trump, are even scratching the surface of the real issues, which are repatriation, restoring national sovereignty, and repudiating debt.

If that's not happening right now, it's collapse and war in less than two decades. And it's not happening.

Anonymous A Paradigm Is More Than Twenty Cents August 09, 2015 7:03 PM

Why?

I would expect it from Democrats but for a Republican to wave the bloody tampon?

There's a difference, when it comes to groveling before strong, independent women who have been deeply offended by reality?

What's so surprising, again?

With Hillary following Obama for the Dems, everyone figures the GOP VP will have to be a woman or a minority. That jumps Fiorina (who?) to the front of the also-rans on the GOP side.

Yep. What else was he gonna do this week, play more golf with pasty old guys like Bill Clinton? This has to be way more fun. And with everyone insisting he's not a viable candidate, he can't lose.

I could believe a lot of crazy stuff from Trump. The man has a gold-plated dining room, after all. But that he'd take marching orders from a bunch of chumps to help Jeb get the nomination that's been presumed his since his brother got elected? Nah. It's not just too complicated and unnecessary; it's out of character.

No, not offending blacks is what the cuckservative cares about. He hopes by doing so he'll get a few more of their votes, but the votes are really secondary to not being called racist.

Hate to clue you in but I figured this out the last couple years and it is in raw display now. The GOP has no principles. Love him or hate him Limbaugh came up with a phrase that sticks in my head and makes a lot of sense.

Establishment Republicans. They have no problem with that the democrats are doing, they just want their turn at the levers of power. The funny thing they don't realize is Obama is trying to burn it to the bricks, there will be no levers of power to operate after all the shooting stops.

Donald: his debate performance and subsequent comments demonstrated to enough people that he can't win

He is gloriously pushing people buttons and forcing people to make mistakes. What did he say that didn't help him. He shut down Sen Tokyo Rose after he called Trumps 15,000 rally attendees crazy, & now most people know about the 134 US sailors McCain Killed. My guest thought it was hilarious, the appearance never occurred to me. Everyone knows I'm rather dense.

Fat, soft sellout typical of the American Right. He'd be merely embarrassing if he weren't so representative and common. Which makes him dangerous. His authority isn't God, it isn't even nationalism. It's woman and he's the realm's coin.

These are the men who are supposed to be opposing women like Megan Kelly. Instead they are complicit with p.c., the heart of which is womanism. Oh look! I'm just defending my wife and daughter. Fully incentivized zombie.

Trump showed how to respond to thugs like Kelly. Don't answer accusations, that just prompts more accusations, which is their food. Instead, expose their agenda and turn the accusation back on them. Yo Megan why do we have a quasi-police-state feminist country? How's that working out?

Trump called out p.c. and by extension, her. Next time he should take another step.

We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do. - Karl Rove

"I don't think you understand the meaning of cuckservative."

Grassroots Republicans work to elect Republicans in good faith, but are betrayed: i.e., “cucked” or cuckolded. They are not the cuckservatives; the elected Republicans who betray them are the cuckservatives.

Cuckservatives, now ensconced in office, advocate positions that betray their own supporters. Once elected, they side with the enemy, forgetting who brought them to the dance.

The cuckservative is the betrayer, the cheating wife. Nixon, who elevates the EPA to cabinet level; Bush the Elder, who broke his "Read my lips, no new taxes" his very first budget; Chief Justice Roberts, who made up the Constitutionality of Obamacare; make up your own list. We elect in good faith, they betray.

When you're assessing your options, like in the current election, it's like dating. The cheaters signal pretty clearly. Trump is blatant. He won't stop cheating just because you cast the ballot and marry him. Don't be an idiot.

Do I have this right? Educate me.

From my understanding the cuckservative is not representative of the cheating wife, but the guy who is allowing his wife to cheat on him. He emasculates himself to try and gain affection from his whore wife, so to say.

I could be wrong on that, but that was my understanding of the term. The cuckservative is the cuckold, not the cheating whore.
