John Scalzi is dumber than a bag of doorknobs.
L.M.A.O ! ! ! Very glad I wasn't in the middle of a drink when I saw this.
If this were a movie, we would find out that Scalzi had a psychotic break years ago and Vox is actually his alternate personality, ala Tyler Durden.
Scalzi is somewhere between 'random interstellar gasses' and 'the void of space'.
Though The Void of Space did beat him at a game of Depression Quest one time.
McRapey must feel so violated. Good thing that other famous author Tim C. Hines is a male rape counselor.
I too have written a book! It's called "If you were an SJW, my love."
Unfortunately, I'm having issues with my computer in terms of actually getting the thing in a format kindle will accept. And I need to come up with my cover art. But it's a real winner, I promise y'all.

Oh who are we kidding......talk about it all you want!!
"The first rule of ScalziClub is that you don't talk about ScalziClub!"
His name was Bob... er, John.
Meanwhile, somewhere under the Rainbow wig, Alexandra Erin has some big stuff going on:
So, my bedroom is still drying/airing out.
Walmart ran out of XXL adult diapers.
I have the opportunity to get out of the house today much like I did last Friday and I’m going to take advantage of it.
Lock up your toddlers.
Also, for all you budding voice actors, he's giving permission to do dramatic readings of his book, but only if you link to his Patreon ebegging account. I hear Wil Wheaton's been reading a lot of scripts recently, because it's cheaper than going to the movies. Maybe this could be his big break?
You might think SJWs are broken, hilariously pathetic people. But Alexandra Erin is going to put on his prettiest mu mu, step away from his crusty keyboard and urea-stained bedsit, and do his weekly freakwalk to prove you wrong, shitlords!
What have you done with your life? Carpe addipem!
An old guy across the road from us seems to have finally been taken down by 'failure regret and alzheimer's'. While he was a prick and a nuisance his actual going down is nothing to celebrate. For Titanic passengers those in the life boats had to actually listen to the screams of those freezing to death. No champagne in those boats.
Vox. You convinced me on several important things.
1.SJWs do always lie. [ when they are not they are about to so it really is the same thing]
2. SJWs do double down. [same thing as they can't learn - eg global non warming hasn't and won't teach them anything]
3. Never agree with a moderate. They are useless and get in the way. They are time wasters and worse than enemies. They defend nothing and offer nothing to conservatism
4. The projection thing is a 'juries still out question' for me. Somehow I think of it more as just what liars, hypocrites and frauds do as part of their act.
All this, might as the above posters posit, make for 'highly entertaining' but the reality is shit like 'global warming' has been the biggest single economic hit much of the industrialized west has ever taken. Green energy projects have actually killed people pushing crop farmers to starvation. = green nuts are actual murderers.
indulging transgender gaytopia myths have just led to depression suicide drug abuse. No harm divorce has led to delinquency. the shit goes on. There are so many fronts they can't be counted off easily and I just plucked those at random.
Not laughing. Keep it up.
A couple days into ParodyGate and still no Hitler/Downfall salvo? I sincerely trust one of the VFM/Hydrati is on the case as we speak...

Not laughing. Keep it up.
Its why I read here. It helps keep me sane and this Scalzi stuff has been entertaining.
Out of here, I am fighting the temptation to just say "screw it" and let the idiots burn the world down.
It helps to remember we win. So I come here and am reminded.
His name was Bob... er, John.
I imagine Rape-Rape has the more impressive set of bitch-tits, although they both are equally ball-less.
See now I thought the fun would ebb a bit after the hugos were over. Wrong! I suppose they thought the Theo pratt book would be the last laugh, right? Wrong again! Everybody's wrong and its awesome!
I posted one I found in an earlier thread. It's comment ~20. On my phone now so it's harder to repost

Some more armchair SJWology. We already know they are insane, that they are not in touch with reality. They live inside a narcissistic hall of mirrors, both in their own heads and in the echo chambers of their warrens. With such shaky contact with the outside world-of-reality, they have to fish around inside for the material to build the lies out of:
Write what you know.
Lie what you know.

A bit more on proto-SJWology. In the more general case of the fraudster or the liar, they are able to reference true, outside material without projecting their own onto the mark. The little child usually doesn't blame the parent for stealing the cookie, he merely claims he didn't do it, or maybe the dog ate it. The professional con artist is able to get inside the head of his mark and use the mark's own avarice against him. The SJW works his con by playing on the altruistic intentions of the mark. (Although there are some cons that work this angle as well, e.g. fake panhandlers.) The global warming scam works this way- the original sinner becomes the carbon-emitter who must do penance.
To be fair, Scalzi didn't ban the book Amazon did, and the didn't ban it, they just chose not to sell it.
Scalzi was making inquiries for legal opinions on how to ban it before it went down, and openly celebrating a victory on his twitter feed after it went down, so trying to claim that he had nothing to do with it requires ignoring what Scalzi himself was saying before and after.
Also, the exact difference between 'they didn't ban it' and 'they just chose not to sell it!' is not significant in this context.
Not sure of the blog rules regarding soliciting work... if someone mentions needing cover art are we free to peddle ourselves?
@29
Do we really want to lower ourselves to such depths of stupidity?
Ulmer: "if someone mentions needing cover art are we free to peddle ourselves?"
Go for it.
"To be fair, Scalzi didn't ban the book Amazon did, and the didn't ban it, they just chose not to sell it."
Let me rewrite this to make it more honest:
"In support of Scalzi, he couldn't actually ban a book, so he pressured Amazon to ban it, who then did so. So don't blame Scalzi"
Also, the exact difference between 'they didn't ban it' and 'they just chose not to sell it!' is not significant in this context.
How so? I believe CH is free to publish this if they like.
Who knew that a man who wear dresses and snarks like a girl could wield so much power at Amazon?
Never underestimate the power of the liberal Gamma.
@31 - peddle yourself... Hmmm... Sounds painful. :-) Do you do ships, people, scenery, 'shopped photos, what?
Rcocean, you think Scalzi has leverage with Amazon?
@ #31
Got a link?
Interesting how JS is no longer "laughing off" his love of Rape. In fact, any criticism seems to deeply offend him and make him cry. Sads.

You're wandering into "I'm a clueless idiot" territory. You really want to go there?
"Rcocean, you think Scalzi has leverage with Amazon?"

Let's not.

Someone does not understand the difference between Rhetoric and Dialectic.
With SJWs you have to use Rhetoric.

So what? If your house is burned down by an arsonist, you are free to build a new one if you like. But that doesn't change the fact that your house was burned down by an arsonist.
The book was only available in one place, on Amazon. Scalzi got the book banned 100% by getting Amazon to remove it. It doesn't matter now if it gets reinstated at Amazon or anywhere else: it was banned by Scalzi's action. No future event can alter the past. Scalzi 451 is a book banner: forevermore.
To be fair, Hitler didn't invade Poland, his troops did. And they didn't invade Poland so much as choose not to disobey orders. So the whole affair was a rather innocent exercise after all.
I propose Scalzi get VFM#451 reserved for him.
Teaser
Hopefully available tomorrow.
forrest: Are you suggesting a business has an obligation to sell everything everyone else thinks they should.
And also to be fair I am well aware of the difference between rhetoric and dialectic, but no one can be certain of which vox is using since he doesn't commit to one of the other until called out. Which is handy.
On the "SJWAL"-related topic of SJWs and codes of conduct: Scalzi tweets simultaneously approvingly/reprovingly of this:
"You literally cannot pay me to speak without a Code of Conduct"
Not to mention, the Poles abused the human rights of the German soldiers because everyone has the right to cross borders without suspicion or harassment. Just because they were dressed in German uniforms didnt give the Poles the right to shoot at them. To say otherwise is victim blaming.

I thought this had been covered already? The vfm are just playing by their rules...

Ahhhh. That the oppressed in Germany prior to WWII did not flee like those brave refugees who are fleeing from their oppressors in Africa ...
What a wonderful game this is.
Don't ban him! Just choose not to allow him to comment.
I kid.
Is it possible that all this self publishing of joke books could harm individuals access to self publish on amazon ?

@58 Have you learned nothing about 4GW? The side that takes the most casualties usually wins in the long run because they eventually win on the moral level. If Amazon limits self publishing that will morally galvanize our side. This is another Xanatos gambit.
Peddling intensifies...

A business like Amazon can choose to be an open market, or it can choose to exercise editorial discretion on what it sells. If it does the former, I cannot rationally attribute the views represented by the items it traffics in to its proprietors. If the later, I can.
Since Amazon has decided to exercise editorial discretion, I can now safely assume they approve of the views of the Communist Manifesto, Mein Kampf, the Turner Diaries, and GRRM's rape fantasies, because they have not found those objectionable and scrubbed their site of them. If they don't want the views of these books associated with them, they can either delist those books, or they can suspend their editorial policy.
@62. Jim

We know they are very responsive to complaints to have books banned. I personally find everything by, among others, Scalzi, Gerrold, and GRRM highly objectionable. All have content that can harm children, for example. What exactly is the process for, say, 440ish people to request to have these books removed?
@60. Johan
Um hmm.
We know they are very responsive to complaints to have books banned.
They used to have a spine. Way back, when they had first gotten big, they received a lot of flak for selling the Turner Diaries, which is why I picked that one out, and they refused to take it down. I respected them for it at the time. Today, if the same controversy broke out, they'd be hard pressed to justify it.
Wile-E-Scalzi, suuuuuuper genius, was so successful with his Acme Ban-o-Tron that "John Scalzi Banned This Book" is up and cruising along where the first version was.
The cover might be different, but xer love story remains the same.
Yep, SJWs, that plan worked out.
@64. Jim

Way to bury the lede:
Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #1,462 Paid in Kindle Store
For a 20-page joke at $4 a pop, that ain't bad.
And, it was a joke. Everybody knew that it was a joke. Scalzi, by failing to go along with the joke, has cast an interesting light on any and all jokes he has made now, in the past, or in the future. Are they jokes? Are they parody? Perhaps they are libelous, and should be reported to the nearest commercial entity which holds responsibility. Commercial entities are not, as Scalzi notes, required to adhere to First Amendment protections.
As a side note, when will we see a collaboration between Ronald Crump and Jorge Doble Violacion Martinez?
@68 To be fair, it was just the one Scalzi fan, and they didn't so much flamethrower him as they did nuke him from orbit and urinate on the ashes.
"And also to be fair I am well aware of the difference between rhetoric and dialectic, but no one can be certain of which vox is using since he doesn't commit to one of the other until called out."
Yeah... I mean, one is based on premises and a logical arguments and the other is aimed at provoking an emotional response.
I can see how you would have problems telling them apart.
This circus has reintroduced the concept of "pamphleteering". Most, most unexpectedly.
How welcome!
WOW awesome, I'm in.
How badly do I want to suck the marrow of roasted SJW bones? You have no idea!
Nice one, Russell. Brevity and metaphysics. Funny, too.
Argue all you want. But this:
John Scalzi was probably not a rapist. That charge was rhetorical, caveated, based upon his astounding stupidity, but never a verifiable fact.
John Scalzi IS a book banner. That charge is not rhetorical or caveated. It's documented, it happened, we saw it, it happened on AMAZON. It is a fact.
It's another fact based upon John Scalzi's astounding stupidity, but we've moved against him into the realm of FACT.
It's bittersweet. He's frankly destroyed as a man, to a degree of damage that even the daughter who could kick his ass never dared attempt. He did it to himself, too, wow.
Scalzi chapter is closed in my mind. The fork is in the pink dressed sausage. He's done. Sure, I'm happy to keep battling him. He's been an ass to me and many others as well. I don't hate him. I pity him, frankly, and that's very true. He's not a well man. Ok, we did beat him to a pulp and have a hand in making him unwell. To prove he was unwell when we started. Maybe. OMG he's a dick tho we were right!
I'm ready to move on to the next target: eating the world whole! Let's go!
In the meantime -- thinking about how to leverage this wonderful new Amazon angle.
I feel a Twitter campaign coming on. Another of the SJWs favourites. It costs nothing and if done properly inevitably spreads. Amazon should be badgered until they answer and then any answer they make used to badger them some more.
They think they avoided controversy by banning a book. We need to make them pay ... And pay ... and pay ...
Strong work, Mook

Right, though see Gorilla Mindset man's latest and Milo's upcoming "Sarah" nuke. Now take this A-B market test down to the Madison Avenue jingle house:
A: McRapey
B: Scalzi 451
Which one rolls off the tongue like Tyrannosaurus Rex? Which one has the brand recognition- in the right circles- baked right in?
He's frankly destroyed as a man, to a degree of damage that even the daughter who could kick his ass never dared attempt. He did it to himself, too, wow.
Yeah, we can't claim cwedit for that. He's a self-made clown.
In the meantime -- thinking about how to leverage this wonderful new Amazon angle
Um hmm.
If I were Amazon, I might have done the same thing. Save the campaign for when they do something truly despicable, like ban all mention of the confederate flag, or blame their unprofitability on capex for 10 years.
There are endless possibilities for parody. "SJW History of the World" might be pretty funny. The WW2 idea from upthread is a hoot, those Germans were just migrating to Poland. lol
That would make a great sequel to White Rabbits "anti-racist Hitler" cartoon
(as seen on the YouTubes)
To be fair, Scalzi didn't ban the book Amazon did, and the didn't ban it, they just chose not to sell it.
"It's not the bullet that kills you, it's the hole." (gun enthusiasts, please step in)

He was unwell to begin with.

Nice work - keep it up.
Hydra has one immortal head, though, so in order to be an effective hydra you have to hide from the adversary which head it is. But I think this is suboptimal design. The hydra should instead be akin to a multi-core processor. As long as there is ANY one head still remaining, it could grow back into a multi-headed state. Then, the only way to kill it would be to remove heads faster than they can grow, so that at some point there would no longer be even one brain from which the rest could be copied, or until the hydra has spent all its protein synthesis energy for growing heads, and growing any more would be a biological impossibility. With a very large body, this would be quite the number of heads.
Uhh... I mean...
Buy the books.
If I wanted to get in on the parody train which book of Scalzi's has the BJ IOU system. I could get it via inter library loan to make the parody "BigGaySteve's Guide to Arbitrage of the Scalzi BJ Exchange"
Stephen J.:- Rcocean, you think Scalzi has leverage with Amazon?
Perhaps he offered them BJs
@51this: "You literally cannot pay me to speak without a Code of Conduct"
I posted this on the site see how quickly it gets deleted.
Here is how most conversations of making a COC work out. This will likely be deleted.
Trans-posted on VoxDay if you want to see it.
SJW: We need to have a Code of Conduct that ensures that everyone who has something to contribute to our project feels welcome to do so.
Nerds: That sounds reasonable. We don't want to exclude anyone. Let's say it's a meritocracy: if your work is useful, we don't care about your skin color or what you do with your genitals.
SJW: No, no, no, that's exactly the opposite of what we need. You're still trying to keep out non-white-guys. Die in a fire.
Nerds: Blinking, blinking, does not compute, brain rebooting
@51 I also posted the difference between respect and courtesy on there which will also likely be deleted.
@51 I sent a message to Jarad Spool who this cunt http://rachelnabors.com/2015/09/01/code-of-conduct/ was attacking. Letting him know about the free SJW attack survival guide PDF & the comments I posted that she will delete from her site.

Also don't forget to point out that if they delete your comments they're homophobes.
