Vox and the Fat Man

The great Cuck Defender Charlie Martin has been proving that he doesn't care for two days now. A brief selection:
Charlie Martin
He's made a bald assertion to which he himself is a counter-example.  It's vacuous.

Charlie Martin
Vox has made the point that he's  Italian now. Somehow his "race" hasn't stopped adopting a new culture

Charlie Martin
As with his assertion that I don't speak German. I answered in my "native" dialect of German.

Charlie Martin
And when he realizes he's made a fool of himself he tries to change the subject.

Charlie Martin
And like a lot of "deep thinkers", when caught out, he gets pissy.

Charlie Martin
So he veered to "fatty" -- which hurt my feeling when I was six, not so much at 60.

Charlie Martin
Like a lot of other Great Men, he's a childish bully and a shallow, petulant little man.

Charlie Martin
like a lot of other Great Men, he's gotten a collection of sycophants who prefer following to thinking.

Charlie Martin
But as Trump, Obama, Sanders, and a million others have demonstrated, followers don't make you smart.

Vox Day ‏@voxday
I'm sure if you just tweet 30 more times, you'll convince everyone you don't care, El Chubbo.

Charlie Martin
You're a small little man whose major recent accomplishment was stealing someone else's idea.

Vox Day ‏@voxday
So the Doritos didn't do the trick? Perhaps you should try pizza, Chubbawumba.

Charlie Martin ‏@chasrmartin
And you still can't get beyond middle school taunts.

Vox Day
That is all your butthurt rhetoric merits. I want you to be able to comprehend them, after all.
The trick is to leave them to it once they're triggered. You don't want to overdo it; that's just sadistic. Just step in every now and then and give them a little slap to keep them spinning. Like all Gammas, El Chubbo has been looking for an opportunity to "get even" since the last time he was publicly slapped down, which is why he jumped in to white knight David French, but he's too caught up in his delusion bubble to grasp how far over his head he's found himself.

The revelation here is that Charlie Martin has apparently been prone to having weight problems as long as he can remember. That's the psych tell that explains his otherwise overly defensive behavior. And sure, while it makes perfect logical sense that a petty taunt about his weight should bother him less at 60 than at 6, the emotional reality is that it bothers him more. That's why it triggered him for two straight days.

The reason is that after all this time, after all these years, after all his various adult accomplishments and efforts, he's still dismissed as the little fat boy. It's not actually my taunts that cause the emotional pain that set him off, it's the memories of past pain that they induce in him. That's why they're called "triggers".

It's also why Gammas find their attempts to trigger me so futile. Notice how their attempts are always all over the place; they are searching, in vain, for something that hurts. Perhaps because they can't identify with jocks, they never seem to grasp the psychological implication of my not only having been smart as a child, but an elite athlete as well. I'm not saying that I don't have emotional triggers because we all do. It's just that mine have absolutely nothing to do with the average intelligent individual's.

My emotional triggers only come out when reading the Bible. Thinking of Christ on the cross gets me every time.

I have noticed that- since I became a believer- I am a little more sensitive about the demonic now, even movies like Prometheus set off an alarm that I never had before. http://csenergysystem.blogspot.com/2009/07/satanic-high-priest-hr-giger.html

I remember the show "Jake and the Fatman". The fatman wasn't as fat as Charlie Martin.

Seeing the Supreme Dark Lord cruelly toying with Cheeky Charlie, I am reminded of what happened to poor Miggs in "Silence of The Lambs".

But in a good way.

Tonight, Charlie will be crying and eating.

"I showed that mean old Vox! Yes I did! OM NOM NOM!"

like a lot of other Great Men, he's gotten a collection of sycophants who prefer following to thinking.

Sycophant? I'm not a bloody pachyderm.

Also, who talks like that? "Sycophant" is a rubbish insult. What else has he got? "Miscreants"? "Ne'er-do-wells"? "Hooligans"?

It sounds like something the bespectacled fat kid who's about to have his head shoved down the toilet by the school bullies would say.

Oh, wait...

Also also, I prefer the terms "henchmen" or "children of the night".

The process of 'growing up' entails gaining some understanding of one's own triggers. And by that understanding, some level of control.

Some spots will always be raw because no one of us is perfect. But one of the results of introspection, spiritual growth, and what have you will be the control of the rising gorge.

Cucks might be worse than liberals. Because they're boring. At least making freak shows squeal is fun; hearing and seeing them froth in all their awkward ways, their shameless and obvious posturing, it's entertaining at times in all its comical drama and color. But there is something utterly unsatisfying and lame when a supposed man has become outraged (outraged i tell you!!) and is sitting in pleated khakis and an Arrow button down.

I never thought you could actually hear pleated khakis in writing, but you can. David French showed me. NRO has mastered the khaki voice, and it will be their greatest achievement. The Khaki Conservatives. Kicking ass in slip-on loafers. For Freedom. Pleated freedom, obvi.

What does it mean to "maintain frame"?

Blogger Markku September 20, 2015 8:58 PM

What does it mean to "maintain frame"?

That is a very complex question to answer. You mostly learn it by repeatedly losing frame, and realizing afterwards that it was when you lost the debate.

For example, in the original McRapey incident, had Vox started explaining that of course he understands that Scalzi has not actually raped women, he would have lost frame. The frame was that Scalzi is a rapist. Had Scalzi managed to take Vox even momentarily outside that frame, it would have been like in wrestling taking the opponent outside the mat.

Blogger Markku September 20, 2015 9:04 PM

In a rhetorical battle, you try to woo the opponent to lose frame. To make him think that just this one little time he can safely go outside the frame, explain himself, and then go back in the frame. But you don't get back in the frame. Once you have gone outside, you have lost the frame.

Blogger Mindstorm September 20, 2015 9:04 PM

@57
Touche. I ought to force Hover Zoom to display filenames.

Blogger luagha September 20, 2015 9:08 PM

Start by googling 'maintain frame.'

In a dialectic argument, you maintain frame when your opponent diverges into rhetoric with some kind of personal attack by insulting back and then returning to logic. You won't affect the rhetorician but you maintain frame with the audience if they are amenable to logic.

In a rhetorical argument, the tools are different, but you always maintain your truth while being mildly amused at the paltry lies of the opponent. Which is okay because your opponent is using rhetoric, you dono't have anything to counter, so to speak.

Vox Day/ aka Theodore Beale, may be [a] pithy man with some simply wrong theories on ‘race’ but he has a useful running commentary on cultural wars/
His book “SJW’s always lie” is another book in a long list I won’t read because I simply don’t have the time. but you might like to hate it? I think at the core of it is the notion that this generation is living a self delusional lie.{and] living a lie means telling them.

unquote.

"living the lie means telling them"

you know I think every line on every page is really about Jesus, it's just intellectually connecting the dots, keep it up......

Blogger Markku September 20, 2015 9:30 PM

Also, the SJW demand for apologies is an attempt to make you lose frame. When you apologise, you have admitted to having done wrong. If your frame was a principled stand for something, you have now permanently lost frame. That genie doesn't go back in the bottle.

Blogger CM September 20, 2015 9:48 PM

Blogger CM September 20, 2015 10:43 PM

Ok... on maintaining frame and rhetoric...

In one of the PP videos, there was a clip of a 19w still birth showing what a 19w baby looks like whike the ex-pp worker was talking about how they would harvest fetal "tissue".

That would be rhetoric, right?

And maintaining frame would be not apologizing and continuing with the set up of this is what pp does, even if the video wasn't ACTUALLY a pp abortion (because pp does do it even if that wasn't it)?

Blogger Markku September 20, 2015 10:50 PM

It doesn't even begin to be relevant that it wasn't an abortion, because the point is indeed how far talk about "tissue" is from actual reality.

Vox, I wanted to bring your attention to a new, hugely hypocritical, catlady trained and brainwashed, Delany pedo apologist, Scalzi-suckup, just published Tor author Seth Dickinson.

I'm familiar with him through his years of tedious, shrill posting on the Something Awful forums under the username "General Battuta" , particularly in their bookbarn subforum. He's always made sure to lecture in his male feminist sjw, cuck-for-the-catladys posts over the years about how SF&F is way too misogynist, hetero-normative and male dominated. He was a vocal and vociferous supporter of "Only Requires Hate" during her most hateful, active and notorious years. He's also devoted some overlong posts misrepresenting you personally in whatever worst light possible he could dream up no matter the context.

Anyway, the reason I wanted to bring him to your attention is that he very recently posted in the forum's SF&F thread asking other posters to game Amazon's reviews/ratings for his just released "The Traitor Baru Cormorant", published by Tor.

Relevant quote: " I have been ordered to say this by my publicist, I am sorry: if you like BARU please drop a review and rating on Amazon! For some stupid algorithmic reason the first couple reviews matter a lot to the book's future. Why she wants me to give this information to Something Awful I don't know "

Yeah, I'm sure he doesn't know why! It couldn't possibly be that his fellow shameless, ideologically identical, years-long progressive posting comrades who love to kiss author ass would give him automatic 5 star ratings and the most hyperbolic glowing positive reviews without even reading his progressive-writers-workshop approved Strong Female Protagonist fantasy book? http://www.amazon.com/Traitor-Baru-Cormorant-Seth-Dickinson/dp/0765380722 That's a link to his book's Amazon page if you doubt me. 5 star average and 100% positive reviews

What's particularly galling to me is Seth Dickinson/General Battuta has for years posted weepy screeds about just how unethical, untrustworthy, dishonest and scummy non-progressive, white male authors were when it came to stuff like the SFWA, and how oppressive, triggering and evil their writings, politics, beliefs and existence were. I remember a significant focus on Vox Day whenever the slightest occasion arose. He's also very anti-puppies, though his rhetoric suddenly seemed to mellow once he knew his debut Tor novel would be released, hmmm.

Todd McFarlane, of Spawn fame, was (is?) a real character, able to talk of programming back in the day when saving a single bit was a ninja move and actually necessary, and still managing to make the red Ferrari (or whatever it was, I forget) drive to the seafront studio seem everyday. Nerd alpha.

And speaking of Violator, unless you are extreme pro level artist, watch this and tell me it doesn't feel impossible to the degree of "did he sell his soul to Satan for this?"

Blogger Markku September 21, 2015 1:29 AM

There is such absolutely sublime skill at display in there. And then this is what we actually find in our art galleries.

Blogger Markku September 21, 2015 1:42 AM

What happened to Michelle Malkin?

Wow, Vox didn't even have to exercise distress or concern. I wish I had just a quarter of the wit/intel others have in dealing with difficult people.

Mr. Martin didn't do his homework and needlessly attacked Vox. Native Amer (feather) heritage, correct? Our host mentioned his background several times, correct? Speaks a few languages, is Martin jealous or just upset over politics? Besides the overweight issue, what else was the main trigger.

Reading through the rhetoric was interesting, I thought C Martin had more to offer in reply. Like womens hamster, turn up the heat a bit, ignore some nonsense and the freak out ensues.

97 Kinda Like it. Tad scary but fine painter program. Ugliness, distortions/distractions trigger me into the reaction instead remaining objective.

@88 Vox is not Spacebunny's puppet. And his trigger is Prog Rock. Time to Share the pain... https://youtu.be/V9Yq5m9eLIQ

I identify as a Vile Faceless Minion. Why is this brute dead-naming us?

There's just no place in modern society for this kind of intolerance!!!

Blogger chris September 21, 2015 3:10 AM

@103. I deadname. Deal with it. For if I (or VD) do not trigger you, Space Bunny will. She's from the deadlier half of the species

Blogger Dexter September 21, 2015 3:18 AM

I still don't know who the hell this guy is and why he is worthy of a nanosecond of Vox's attention.

Blogger James Dixon September 21, 2015 3:55 AM

> I have been reliably informed that Space Bunny does not exist, so we need to figure out just who's sock puppet Vox and Space Bunny really are.

Vox and Spacebunny are obviously sock puppets of Scalzi.

Blogger James Dixon September 21, 2015 5:55 AM

> I still don't know who the hell this guy is and why he is worthy of a nanosecond of Vox's attention.

He's worth Vox's attention because he started it with the Twitter comment:

@voxday @JonahNRO @DavidAFrench the fact that you think that is what makes you an unlikable dolt.

Vox hadn't said a word to him.

Blogger Steveo #238 September 21, 2015 7:21 AM

SJW crazy town, cause it's hard to have a focus group when your focus is only on yourself. I'd love to watch one! Let's find out what triggers Vox Day... "I'm fat", "I'm stupid", "I'm a pretender", "How can I get sex", "I can't do anything right", "I'm a sexual mess", "I hate men"... yeah, maybe Vox is like that. Stupid has gone viral with that crowd.

See the 3rd law of SJWs.

Trigger search... go for the angst

Blogger Tommy Hass September 21, 2015 8:46 AM

Is it because of that one business opportunity you lost? Selling your soundboard or smth?

Blogger Markku September 21, 2015 8:48 AM

You are on the right track, Tommy. Warm but not hot. There is a reason it is that particular image. Technical reason.

Blogger Josh September 21, 2015 8:54 AM

Does it have to do with Intel's chip not being able to render 3d?

Blogger Dexter September 21, 2015 9:16 AM

Markku instigates a snipe hunt for Vox's triggers ... and winds up triggering himself.

is there any better evidence that Markku is NOT Alpha / Sigma?

Musical triggers.

The 1970's Rock Drug Organ?
The 1980's Spankin Snare Drum?

Blogger maniacprovost September 21, 2015 11:56 AM

The question is, does failure as such trigger Vox? I think you must apply the Stoic model.

Blogger Carl Philipp September 21, 2015 12:03 PM

Moderates. Vox Day is a warrior, thus he despises cowards and traitors.

Blogger James Dixon September 21, 2015 7:52 PM

That's all it takes to make Vox pay attention. What part of punch back twice as hard are you not understanding? Start nothing, finish everything.

Thomas Davidsmeier: Does anybody else "trigger" on people and not topics?

Normally it's easy to dismiss the opinions of lower-status people, but gammas have a dark-magic superpower to make you want to punch them in the face for noting that the weather was pleasant today. You just have to remember that while you can walk away from them, they can never get away from themselves, the poor bastards.
