Consider the obvious alternative

I think it was extremely foolish for Andrew Stroehlein to criticize the use of human masks and pigs' heads to dissuade immigrants from seeking to invade Hungary:
Hungarian politician Gyorgy Schopflin, of the nation’s ruling Fidesz party, made the incendiary comments in response to criticism of his country’s attitude towards refugees by a prominent human rights campaigner.

Human Rights Watch director Andrew Stroehlein slammed Hungary’s use of eerie masks fashioned from vegetables to ward off migrants at the border in a tweet on Friday.

Hungarian officials have placed the masks across the nation’s vast border fence in an attempt to impede the movement of refugees seeking passage to countries in Western Europe. While it appeared to work for a time, many refugees still attempt the dangerous journey.

Mr Stroehlein tweeted: “Refugees are fleeing war & torture, Hungary. Your root vegetable heads will not deter them.”

Mr Schopflin replied: “Might do so. Human images are haram. But agree, pig’s head would deter more effectively.”
After all, if the masks and pigs' heads don't work, the Vlad Dracula method is historically known for its efficacy in this regard.

If the vegetable heads will not deter them, then what is the haram?

SJW-logic always seems to miss the truth a little. Wonder why that is.

People in PIG masks with severed moslem swine heads would be a better alternative.

True. Probably wouldn't hurt to throw in some Hungarian SJW heads as well.

In the good old days of Britain, traitors' heads were displayed prominently for months after the execution.....There should be a good supply of those available in most western countries.

I find those who argue from using the recent past as an unshakable baseline for the future somewhat tiresome. "But, but, but, we can't do what you propose, we haven't done anything like that since, well, the Dark Ages."

Yeah. Well, the Middle Ages were the springboard from which the wonders of Western Civilization arose. Could it be that some of the single-mindedness of that period about which we read (e.g. in A Distant Mirror) will provide an equally useful springboard for the renewal of Western Civilization?

We need a whole lot of hardship to re-teach age-old lessons (and to Naturally Select out a whole lot of culls in our rear echelons), but the good news is that Trees Don't Grow to the Sky. This (our insane times) too will end and the lessons will be re-embraced by the survivors.

For the Darwin Award winners (especially the awardees of the David Ruenzel Prize), well, such people don't make it into the history books as anything more than Stalin's statistic.

OpenID paworldandtimes August 22, 2016 12:10 PM

Instead of masks, the Hungarians could have posted signs in appropriate languages that state:

"Dear travellers from Middle East and Africa, we understand that you have your reasons for desiring entry into Hungary. However, if we let you in, we would be subjecting our nation to one of these three scenarios: one, acommodating your growingly intolerable presence; two, becoming you through the intermarriage of our daughters; or three, an unnecessary war on our territory. None of those scenarios are acceptable to us, and we have nowhere else to go. In fact, we are fond our ancestral homeland. We also understand that most of you ask for no more than our permission to pass through our country toward your final destination in the UK or Germany. On that matter we considered the headaches with the EU and the Americans we'd save ourselves by playing the game of "eat us last," but the answer is also No. If this message does not persuade you to back away from out border and go back, then we will display creepy masks that you will find sacrilegious. Should those fail to persuade you to stay away, we will enforce our territorial integrity with deadly force. We wish you a safe and pleasant journey home. Goodbye."

But all that is communicated clearly enough with just the masks.

My understanding of the logic is as follows.

Proposing to use pig heads is offensive because it will likely be more effective than using vegetables carved as human images. The latter is therefore inoffensive and not going to trigger me, even though by Muslim standards both are likely just as bad.

Anonymous Drummergirl August 22, 2016 12:28 PM

I think that's pretty brilliant. He should add some marshmallow men impaled on stakes. Maybe they could paint them with a little pig's blood for effect?

Blogger HonorLiving August 22, 2016 1:02 PM

When some humanitarian says that we have to accept refugees on the basis the "fact" that they're fleeing from something terrible, they're actually offering us a choice between accepting that which we do not want for eternity (let's assume migration is permanent) or of being horrible ourselves.

Humanitarians truly are the primary targets.

#14: reporting that Abu Qatada posted in Arabic on social media: "Muslims living in the West will lose. Sedition and spread of bloodshed will devour them...They will have no option but to prepare to return back to their countries as soon as possible."

On a different site, I saw several theories.
- His message really means something else, and is designed to spread disinformation.
- London is about to be nuked, so he's trying to get his people out of there.
- Native Europeans are becoming increasing hostile, and he sees the writing on the wall.
- They're running out of Muzzies to fight in Muzzie-Land and want to bring more back home.
- Goats are lonely.

Someone also suggested that Abu Qatada has inside information, and this might relate to Germany's suggestion of stock-piling food, along with the possibility of an upcoming banking failure, which would, in turn, reduce free resources. This does seem to pose the question: Is something big about to happen?

Blogger Mountain Man August 22, 2016 1:33 PM

This isn't the first time Europe has faced this sort of invasion. It seems as though Europe is on round three for attempts at continent -wide Kebab dominion.
It was interesting to see who it was handled the last time.
We might be able to learn a thing or two.

Quoting from the article: "He had his Turkish prisoners beheaded and then fired their heads from his cannons into the enemy camp. This action sent a message of defiance to the Turks, but also told his own men that this fight was to the death. There would be no exit strategy."

Thats certainly an option !

Anyone (((notice))) the Syrian ambulance of the latest photo op has words in ENGLISH?
It’s like when I correct people calling blacks African Americans, by saying “No wonder the world hates Americans, its the African Americans burning thousands of cars in Paris, & having shoot outs with swat teams in London. That explains the UGLY American myth”

“It is rather clear that the child is being used as a stage prop. After being passed to the medical “attendants,” little Omran is placed in an orange chair facing the camera and immediately left alone. He is not treated, no one else is being lifted into the ambulance, and no one is even in the vehicle with him. Instead, he is left to face the “activists” outside the vehicle and their cameras for what seems like too long a time to be anything other than a photo op for the “activists” videotaping him.”

Actually after reading that it wouldn't surprise me if moslem EMTs stopped caring for an injured child to go on break.

Dang it! Quit tipping them off. I swear, even as ignorant and obstinate as they are, there is always a chance one of them will realize what dread forces are aligning. Not that I think they will do much about it, but a few might slip just deserts. Sure, I piss in the soup and pass it along. Only to strengthen resolve. Being hated is... a gift, for some of us. On both sides. *smooch*

Just... quit. You remind me of a brother. He always figured out where Christmas gifts were, then would figure out what each was, then tell me and the others. They loved it, I hated that. Only, it isn't I who will be surprised. Quit spilling the beans. *sharpening long 'hunting spears'* *slathering on lard and fairy dust*

Of course, you realize, the only reason the muslims were frightened off? He started with his own. Traitors, friends of traitors, those who seemed to be traitors. THEN he got busy with the rest of the equation, the enemy itself. Now THAT is equality I can live with. Start with your own or muslims just won't get it. Something about that terrifies them, oddly.

Under-fire EU chief Jean-Claude Juncker risked widening divisions with European leaders today by saying borders were the 'worst invention ever'.

He called for all borders across Europe to be opened, despite the chaos caused over the last year from the flood in refugees fleeing Syria and the wave of terror attacks hitting various continent's cities.

Atila and his troops fought off the Roman Empire, built a rival kingdom of their own in territory the Romans wanted and tried to take, while converting their society from raiding pastoralists to settled farms and towns.
