Did the National Press Club ban the Alt-Right?
Mike Cernovich is on it the story of the National Press Club allegedly cancelling a National Policy Institute event scheduled to be held at its site:
If true, this is exactly why the Alt-Right exists in the first place. We are done with listening to the heartfelt appeals to equality and fairness, which are been abandoned as soon as those who make such appeals feel they are in a position of power.
We're now living in a post-ideological age of identity politics. Be aware of that, as even the so-called, self-appointed champions of free speech don't hesitate to shut down speech they don't like.
For the first time in its history, the National Press Club has prohibited a peaceful organization from holding an event in the ironically titled Free Speech Lounge.Given that Richard Spencer has a signed contract, it's looking pretty troubling for the outfit that has been complaining publicly about Donald Trump's media blacklist.
NPC, which has defended revenge porn sites like Gawker, agreed to allow Richard B. Spencer of the National Policy Institute to hold an event called, “What is the Alt-Right?”
On August 24, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton dedicated a major campaign speech to the “emerging” ideology known as the Alt Right.
So what is the Alt Right? Who makes up the Alt Right, and what are its central ideas?
On Friday, September 9, The National Policy Institute will host a conference—free and open to the public and press—in which Alt-Right leaders discuss their movement.
When I called NPC’s reservation office to ask if NPI’s alt-right event had been cancelled, the polite Michelle said that it sounds like an Internet rumor, as it’s not the policy of NPC to censor speakers.

Hate speech- I.e., "speech I hate".
"We hate censorship. Censorship is a violation of basic human decency and the vital interchange of ideas that is critical in any democratic system. Censorship irreparably harms the basic fabric of our society in ways that are not obvious and will lead to nothing less than dictatorship. Nobody should ever be censored.
Except those guys. Screw them."
OT Pelosi begs the Cucks not to use effective weapons against them
I wonder if Pelosi is starting to sense that her opponents are not going to be the type that even hesitate when she begs for mercy. The left has been using every dirty trick they could pull off for years. They are used to getting the Republicans to stay their hands when begged for mercy. Soon they will face opponents that will not even hesitate at the sound of their wretchedness.
If Richard Spencer announced he planned to endorse Hillary Clinton, the National Press Club would reschedule the event. Luegenpresse, fucking hypocrites since the Weimar. At least the media in the old communist East Bloc and USSR had to be forcibly taken. Our Luegenpresse just tosses the keys to the State.
The truth will out...it's cuckservatives all the way down....
@3
Pelosi wouldn't have asked if she didn't think it were at least possible Ryan would say "yes." Who would be surprised if he did?
We're now living in a post-ideological age of identity politics.
Exactly. Before there were high-minded discussions of libertarianism, socialism, traditionalim, etc. Ideological.
But now it is like Germany where it is Aryans v.s. Jews. The Jews will never be accepted by the Nazis.
We now have colleges resegregating dorms along race but going gender free with the bathrooms.
What matters to everyone on the left is not your ideology but your identity. The cucks are still stuck in the old paradigm. But the left just wants power, doesn't care if it will ruin the country or if your arguments might be right.
We will all be assigned an identity if we don't pick one first. We're privileged white males? Fine, we're going to use that privilege.
It's also a sign that media has become increasingly corporatized, and on the cheap. How many alternative occupations does the typical journalist or 'thought leader' have if their outlets, which are increasingly reliant on de facto sugar daddies, decide to cast them out of the club? What else could they do? Manage an Applebees? Sell Computers?
I think you're seeing a lot of peer virtue signalling, but also signalling to their wealthy backers that they're good, right thinking hacks who should be kept on the payroll, or at least not blacklisted when they have to jump ship from the latest failing publication/channel/show.
Alt-right scares them ideologically, but also because it doesn't need their money. You're also a threat to their business model and cozy monopolies.
This is real world Control Alt Revolt! Sorry, just finished it. Terrific book.
The Alt-Right is revolting!
CTRL-ALT RIGHT!

Of course
Well guys, maybe we ought to consider the possibility that the internet rendered organizations such as the National Press Club obsolete.
Vox, you up for creating a worthy successor to the NPC?
This is what I love about creative destruction. It eliminates the gate keepers.

Meanwhile, doing their damndest to make sure "the Cough" doesn't do to Clinton what "the Scream" did to Howard Dean.

Speaking of identity politics, did anyone else catch that ambush job on Ann Coulter at the "Rob Lowe" roast? That was some pretty vile stuff.

YES.

Brilliant. That needs to be a meme.
What am I missing? Who said it was cancelled?
If Richard Spencer announced he planned to endorse Hillary Clinton to start the nigapocalypse early
OT: GoldManSacks bans TOP employees from donating to TRUMP. Funny I thought all the guys that worked there are bottoms. http://www.cnbc.com/2016/09/07/goldman-sachs-bans-top-employees-from-donating-to-trump-report.html
Richard Spencer said it was canceled. I didn't see him post the message saying it was canceled, but that would be something really stupid to lie about, I'm giving him benefit of the doubt.
@17, this is the age of the Internet.
We can show clips of Clinton "under sniper fire" in Bosnia, asking who will answer the phone at 0300 (intercut with the real phone calls from Benghazi), telling investigators she didn't remember etc. etc.
She has lied, cheated and ridden on coattails for decades, so there is a rich trove of material to show without having to go to the coughing fit (the earlier seizure tape is much more convincing anyway).
And to rub it in , how about the shots form 9/11 which the Legacy media refuses to show, including Americans throwing themselves from the Twin Towers rather than burning to death.....
The legacy of the Clintons and the Progressives needs to be paraded out for all the undecided and uncommitted to see.
And the best of identity politics?
wS -->/<-- S^^.
Amren is reporting the cancellation. There is also a petition (linked to by Amren) asking the NPI to rename its "First Amendment Lounge."
"Richard Spencer said it was canceled."
One can infer that from Cernovich's article, and one can look up the speaker schedule at NPC and see that the conference isn't listed.
But you can't find Cernovich saying it. It's like a paragraph or two got lost in editing.
I just mentally inserted "then a miracle occurs" in the space they should have been occupying.
Just watched part of a video of this guy bagging on Alex Jones. Hillaroid called out AJ by name, he never claimed to be part of the alt-right. I think he claims he is a libertarian, even though he has lately been roasting Gary Johnson :P
This guy needs to learn about the no enemies to the right
Hey, Vox- Hae you had the chance to read the article "The Flight 93 Election" on the Claremont Insitute website? A very interesting read.
And Richard Spencer isn't even genuine wS.
This is great. The event hasn't even been held yet, and they've destroyed the credibility of the National Press Club. Good job, Richard.
This is why I'm Alt-Right. I'm sick of the lies. I'm sick of the hypocrisy. I'm sick of being forced to follow Queensberry Rules as the Left gouges eyes and kicks you in the nuts.
I'm done with that. The constitution is a dead letter. There is no rule of law. The system is corrupt, bankrupt, and illegitimate. I have nothing to lose. The Alt-Right is the only option.

Hey Dave!
Pay attention!
White revolution is the only solution.
"Along with NPI’s Richard Spencer, the event was to include VDare.com editor Peter Brimelow and American Renaissance editor Jared Taylor."
Who the fuck are these people? Since when have they become the "leaders" of the alt right?

Harambe and his Hand Putin are not amused by your impertinence.
"Who the fuck are these people?"
People who have Wikipedia pages.
@36. John M: "Who the fuck are these people?"
Do you even google?
And check out "Ramzpaul" while you're at it.
The National Press Club has been a cesspool for quite a while. But still it's great to force them to "live up to their values". It's a bit of turning Alinsky tactics around on them.
Alt Right not allowed in the press club?
What's next, niggers banned from KKK?
Cancel your Joospaper.
OT: French government wasting more taxpayer's money, this time to combat evil sexism!
I tell you it's awful living in this backwater, watching all the mistakes the English-speaking world made ten years ago come looming on the horizon like an inevitable tsunami of sewage and vomit to be endured - le sigh :(
Looking forward to "# Les vies noires comptes!" in a decade or so...

And? What is it?

I am disappointed that these overly-polite "leaders" failed to set fire to this useless venue on their way out. I understand that they wanted to be able to be scheduled for future events, but the proper consideration is kek über alles.

Ultra nationalist, right? I mean if that is what is needed to Restore Liberty, so be it..
Draw a line! I won't draw it for you!
Trump won't keep the chlorine out of the gene pool, any more than Wellington prevented the sociopolitical consequences of gunpowder.

in a choice between Survival and Liberty, liberty comes in a distant fourth.
It's becoming pretty clear that the media and the political establishment have taken control of the Alt Right Narrative. Say what you will about Hillary, but her speech really busted the movement in the U.S. The Alt Right is destined to reside in the far corners of the Internet.

C'mon! you expect to get paid for that shit? you have to put some fucking effort into this son. Address things people are actually worried about. Maybe stir up some religious drama. These types are always ready to go on an inquisition! This weak sauce just comes across a "Meh. We win, so there."

Its basically our job as the .alt right to prevent this. The US is pre civil war right now and starting on the harden your hearts and right off 100 million phase. We have a window o opportunity to prevent this and I hope we will

40 million Blacks plus 45 million Hispanics leaves 15 million for ragheads and traitors. Just cleaning out all the "studies" departments in our universities and giving thorough scrutiny to everyone not in STEM or the fine and performing arts would get us 95% of the way there.
And imagine what the USA would be like minus 100 million criminals and other parasites! We'd be right back to Mayberry.
