I cannot, cannot, CANNOT believe that the woman is actually going to try to keep running on the Alt-Right theme. And as for "so-called 'alt-right' movement", someone needs to remind her that SHE is the one who called us that.
I don't think either Cerno or Scott Adams has analyzed it yet, but when you're already losing two-thirds of whites, constantly reminding them that you're one of the evil people who has turned them into a near-minority in their own country can't be a sound persuasion tactic.
Once the brick wall is actually in place, "it's just one little brick" is no longer a convincing strategy. Everyone can see the wall right there in front of them.

Clearly she was impaired in the first speech at her gala function. That wasn't sleeplessness or some other cover story, she was high. And if I was one of those people who paid close attention to human nature and behavior, I'd probably think that this is a person imploding under the stress. I don't mean that in a 'nervous breakdown' kind of way, I mean in a Nero/Hitlerian collapse of epic proportions. This is almost ahistorical in nature and I believe before it's all over you will see an political self-immolation that will be legendary.

I have to agree with many of you who have pointed out that Grandma Killary seems to be imploding. I'm not sure what she/her campaign thinks she will gain from this apology. In fact, I think many of her supporters who were so enthusiastic about her insulting Trump voters will be disappointed that she walked back her comment (not that this will change their votes). She should have let the comment stand - the apology shows the confusion and fear that are behind the scenes of her campaign.
Also, she or whoever is running her seems to have a total obsession with the alt-right. Not a bad thing at all in my opinion - I think it means they're afraid. This type of comment isn't persuasion it is buttressing. This last week has been pretty awful, and anything that would take attention away from emails and Clinton Foundation and her health is good. She wasn't talking to anyone except her own supporters and trying to firm up weakening support.
I think that the Clinton campaign is extremely nervous. She was out this week and her numbers fell measurably. Trump survived the media mobbing coming out pretty well the same place when it started. I don't think Clinton will do as well.
There is a real possibility of major shifts that are unpredictable and won't become evident until the last week.
By the way, Scott Adams doesn't think it is a big deal. He may be right. Clinton's mistake is not attaching it to Trump but those who dare support him. Bad idea. But what interests me is what motivated it. Fear, awful and horrible fear.

If there were any conspiracies, I would have thought it was Trump running off Republican rivals and then throwing the election to Hillary. That doesn't seem to be happening, and I think Occam's Razor applies otherwise.

Only the executive branch is represented in the full-time shadow administration. The other branches of constitutional government, Congress and the judiciary, have separate continuity plans but do not maintain a 24-hour presence in fortified facilities.

It would be very unconstitutional (yeah, I know), because formally, you aren't voting for Hillary or Trump, you're voting for a elector who's been picked by the person you're voting for to represent them in the Electoral College election where, unless they can't come to a decision and it's thrown to the Congress, the election is actually decided.
This used to be a Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon sort of system, where a chain of trust would run from a much smaller voting population to the presidential candidate, plus of course would allow electors time to travel to a central location to vote, but even nowadays it allows for an official election if one or more of the official winners dies before the college votes.
Certainly someone like Obama could try an end run about the college, but that "winner" would have no legitimacy and things would get significantly more ugly.

For confirmation, look at the RNC head, Preibus. He shows every sign of being a man who is simply loyal to his org, and happy to have a popular candidate.
I'm afraid of confirmation bias, and open to entertaining alternate explanations.
