Trump storms back

So much for #NeverTrump. And so much for all the Nervous Nellies who have been repeatedly whining "what about the Trumpslide" despite the fact that I a) laid out the clear roadmap to it, b) explained how the trend leading towards it had been broken, and c) pointed out that it was still a possibility. Donald Trump is gaining again in the polls.
The full results from Sunday night’s debate are in, and Donald Trump has come from behind to take the lead over Hillary Clinton. The latest Rasmussen Reports White House Watch national telephone and online survey shows Trump with 43% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Clinton’s 41%. Yesterday, Clinton still held a four-point 43% to 39% lead over Trump, but  that was down from five points on Tuesday and her biggest lead ever of seven points on Monday.
Nothing is ever over until it is over. Yes, Pussygate broke the steady tread of momentum that had Trump on a clear path to a Trumpslide. But the fact that a clear and obvious path no longer exists does not mean that it is impossible, much less that Trump is going to lose.

Note that this is a 6-point turnaround from the day before. Rasmussen had Hillary +4 yesterday. Trump is +2 today. Can Trump continue to build on that? If he can, a Trumpslide is in the cards. The key thing is that he has apparently overcome the short-term damage Pussygate inflicted with low-IQ female and religious voters.

I have never wavered from my belief that Trump will win this election. And at this point, with 6-point daily swings, a Republican candidate openly attacking his own party's establishment, and Hillary Clinton, the media, and the bifactional ruling party pulling out all the stops despite supposedly having the election in the bag, no one can possibly calculate what is going to happen with any degree of confidence.

Remember, all the polls and the betting markets had Brexit failing right up until the vote. "On election day, they priced about an 85% likelihood that Britain would stay in the EU."

Sound familiar?

The probability of a victory by Mr Trump, who is known for his controversial trade and immigration policies, has fallen to 10 – 20 per cent, from 30 – 35 per cent over the past two weeks, the New York investment bank estimated, citing betting markets and poll aggregators.

Tony Perkins form the Family Research Council was just quoted as saying " We share his concerns not his values" and then went on to reiterate their support.

Ahhh..gives me a glimmer of hope that not all of the Religious Right has been cuckverged.

But they have convinced Scott Adams that it is enough that women will vote against him in masses and he will know lose.

The pattern has been set. The Clintons will be pulling out every woman Donald ever failed to call after a one night stand. It's the only strategy they've got, but they think it's a winner and they might be right. I think it will work but not as well as they think.

I wish Trump would buy 15 minutes on TV, go live, unequivocally state:
1. Remind people this is ALWAYS what the Dems do, always attack opponents as racist, sexist, etc.
2. The NY Times is lying
3. remind them these accusations don't even make sense (on an airplane? and the details she gives don't' makes sense?),
4. are 30 years old. You are just NOW saying something?
5. Remind them that Wikileaks shows the Media is in Hillary's camp so how can they be trusted,
6. and finally then remind people what the Dems did to Romney: a squeaky clean Mormon who they turned into a a murdering sexist animal abuser. Back back to the first point, this is always what the Dems do.

I don't know if it would make any difference, but this BS shit has got to stop. Stupid women who fall for this crap (and I am a woman!!!) should be forbidden from every speaking on public matters ever again.

Actually, I think Ann Coulter is right. Letting woman vote was the biggest single mistake in the history of these United States.

I think there is Cosby fatigue that is helping Trump, much like how all the "offended woman means man fired" thing eventually got tired and HR departments eventually realized that being hit without having made a clear statement of "no" is no reason to fire a productive accused employee.

I heard the morning drive classic rock FM radio hosts saying this morning - if this really happened, like on the airplane or the hallway, why did she not shout? Why did she not alert anybody? He would have been in jail in an instant, especially the airplane one.

Time and distance + missed opportunity to stop it then and there by just crying out + no physical evidence = lying woman

Anonymous Faceless October 13, 2016 9:22 AM

I of course meant hit on, which is what one of the charges is against Mr. Trump. If she doesn't make a clear no to the advances, it's not actionable for an employer.

My contention is that pretty much everything large-scale wrong with the west can be traced to this factor. Sure, the Frankfurt School and the KGB efforts in the 60s gave the actual push, but women are the ones who gave the marxist movements generated their numbers and power.

The ladies are a fifth column if they're allowed into the sociopolitical arena. If they hadn't been given the vote, everything would be chugging along like a high-tech version of the 1950s, or the 1910s, or whatever, and all this immigration-invasion, SJW insanity would never have been seen.

This is literally the weirdest moment in the West's history. Nothing like this has happened before, under monarchies, republics, Christians, or pagans. The unprecedented factor is the loss of male dominance in the socio-political and cultural arena.

Anyway, go Trump! Go get them!

(Now I need to scrape together some cash to put some money on Trump in the betting markets. Fast.)

Even without the mass poll fixing, polls have a week delay, so is only by now that the first post debate polls are starting to come.

Also, the "octopus" accusation is so obviously bullshit that it won't last a week. Meanwhile, the Dems have been bleeding Bernouts a lot since now there's confirmation that the Dem primary was obviously rigged (and of course that Clinton keeps getting all the debate questions beforehand, luckily that wasn't enough against The Donald this time) and all the "consessions" that Berners got were just smoke and mirrors.

Just so you know, even if Trump wins in a landslide doesn't mean he will be president. There is one more hurdle to get through. That is the Electoral College. They vote on January 6th I believe. There is no rule or law that says they have to vote how their constituents voted. Not kidding. If the GOP gets miffed enough the representatives and senators could vote for Hillary. And Hillary could win the White House. If I figured this out, no doubt the democrats and republicans know about it.

Just saying it is possible.

Blogger dc.sunsets October 13, 2016 10:15 AM

Who among those here believes either Trump (or any billionaire) or any high politician comports himself in an honorable manner?

I don't.

This is simply one erosive element of many. Our massive, mass-minded societies are ruled by people we wouldn't ever consider befriending or emulating. This is the "erosion from the top" that mirrors the spreading idiocracy of low-IQ, low-impulse-control people surrounding us.

All systems are aligned to cause everything we see to burn down. Nation-states will fall. Civilizations will hibernate. Ease will turn into hardship, and then into hardships not seen in centuries, in which few people are predisposed to survive. Social groups will move in size from massive (hundreds of millions or even a billion people in a single socio-political group) to smaller, then smaller, then eventually smaller still. The "Circle of Trust," now global in size, will shrink to the very most local. Anything foreign (even across the river) will be killed rather than take the chance of trusting it.

Trump is not one of us. No politician in play today is. No billionaire is (Rothbard suggested that due to being surrounded by Yes-Men, all billionaires are probably clinically insane.)

That doesn't mean that the election is meaningless. A crash (financial, economic, political, and social) is baked in and will play out over the next 50, 150, perhaps even 500 years. None of us will live to see it completed. Our great-great-grandkids may not live to see its end.

But the conditions that pertain as we move into the active phase of the bust are still somewhat dynamic. A Clinton (or Kaine) presidency will bake the Elite's Lunacy more deeply into our lives than it is presently. It will raise the height from which the plunge will begin. It will Make Things Even Worse than they need to be. I'll vote for Trump.

[one caveat: whoever is elected runs a real risk of being tarred with the blame for what is already certain to emerge. It is human nature to blame the chief for the flooding rains or other natural disasters. If Clinton/Kaine are president, the blame will destroy the Power of the Left-Lunatic-Democrats instantly and for centuries. If Trump is POTUS it will cloud the mass mind and could result in a resumption of Hard Leftism immediately after a financial bust, leading paradoxically to an even WORSE economic, political and social catastrophe in a few decades to come. The notion that we can steer our course to calmer seas may always be nothing but an illusion. History of the future is no less written than the history of the past.]

The NYT is going to keep piling up women who claim Trump harassed them. The encouraging part is it seems like this is being treated like what it is so far. A blatant attempt to try to smear Trump with no real evidence. The Podesta emails have shown what everyone already assumed. The Democrats plan and coordinate attacks with the media and willing Repukes.

At this point it is clear a road map was laid out that started with pussygate and now they are going to build on that narrative. Expect one or multiple women coming out in the next few weeks that will accuse Trump of straight up rape. Trump will get them for slander eventually but the question is if it will affect the election.

That's right and, with the new pedophile meme they are floating, it indicates one of two things is true:

1) The ruling class is in full panic mode due to internal polling and is trying to get Clinton back in the game by dumping all they've got now.

2) There is some truly appalling stuff on Trump that they are sitting on.

Which is why all those Republicans immediately abandoned ship after the pussygate reveal. They figured Trump was finished because they couldn't imagine fighting back from something like that. And they couldn't imagine fighting back because fighting back is not something they do.

They are in the positions they fill because they have served their time and obeyed the party leadership and carried water for the CoC.

They are skilled at kissing ass and dissembling to the public.

I'm skeptical of any real dirt they have on Trump. Honestly, if they had something that would end his campaign without a doubt, why not drop it a long time ago?

No way the GOPe hasn't been communicating with the Dems for a while now. So logically speaking, I say they have nothing.

That being said, I think Trump night just be sitting on something big he plans to release a week before election day.

today's rasmussen poll is weak but positive evidence that the race is closer than 538 or the princeton election consortium have it, but the preponderance of poll-based evidence suggests that hillary is a *huge* favorite. barring a surprise of unprecedented significance, which is very generously priced in to prediction markets, the election is over.

and if you go over to la times and see how demos have changed their support since trump's "lewd remarks", you'll see that the only demo that didn't move away from trump was actually females: their support for the octupus has actually gone up.

Anonymous Jack Amok October 13, 2016 11:38 AM

I don't put any faith in the polls, in social media, or in any other signals available at the moment. Trump voters know the establishment is against us and that the SJW attack machine will be unleashed on anyone publically supporting Trump. So most of us keep our heads down, don't say anything, and will go vote for him.

I don't think anyone really knows how much support he has. I won't be surprised by any result - trumpslide, fifty-fifty tossup, or trump implosion. But I am cautiously optimistic about a Trump victory.

In liberal Puget Sound, Trump signs outnumber Clinton signs by 10-1 or more. Hillary Clinton has about as much appeal as a dead skunk on the highway.

I suspect the real goal of "Pussygate" and all the other dirt they're going to throw at Trump isn't to influence the undecided, it's to energize their own dispirited liberal base. "Hold your nose and vote for the corrupt lizard queen who takes millions from the banksters so that Trump-the-pussy-grabber doesn't win."

If I'm right about that, the turncoat GOPers might unintentionally sabotage the Dems by making the liberal base think they can safely stay home and not vote for a Dem candidate they loathe.

But we should still punish them as traitors.

Of course Rod Dreher is our religious liberty champion.

The healthiest stance is to recognize that the whole point of the Trump candidacy was not to venerate a different Dear Leader but rather to press the goals of the people who made Trump possible. Win or lose, those won't change.

Can Trump lose? Given the depth and breadth of the current corruption in Washington and its seamless integration into the Clinton campaign, yes he can lose, easily. As someone above pointed out, the Electoral College can be suborned as easily as the IRS, DOJ and FBI.

So how to proceed? From the bottom up, of course. The Trump train is the next evolution of the Tea Party. What did in the Tea Party? Bureaucratization, subversion, and cooption. Be on the lookout for that and preempt it. How does Clinton come to have so much power? Her tendrils are into everything - even her plausibly deniable apologists.

It's not enough to simply name call the Queen's pawns, rooks and bishops "cucks". They must somehow be removed from the board. She must be denuded of them entirely. Without them, she really wields no power at all.

Vox would probably count me as a "nervous Nellie", but that's only because I can't stand the thought of a Hillary presidency. I wish something would drop that would send her campaign crashing into the ground. Something far worse than the email leaks that the MSM simply ignores.

Then again, I should probably be careful what I wish for. If her campaign were to visibly, publicly crash more than a few days before the election TPTB would no doubt pull her Levodopa and Modafinil so that she would physically crash, giving them an excuse to nominate someone else.

At any rate, Trump is also back up in the LA Times poll. (Dead heat really, but the trajectory is back up.) And the RCP 4-way average, while no doubt biased by the polls with excessive Democrat sampling, is showing the movement as well.

...no one can possibly calculate what is going to happen with any degree of confidence.

It's all over for Trump. He's going to lose and he knows it, because at least 50% of the votes will be cast by WOMEN, and with women it is all about the feels.

It doesn't matter what comes out about Hillary, because it's all just boring facts. Chicks are mad because they've been disrespected, like common sluts. You treat a woman like a slut in public, and she's going to make you pay.

It doesn't matter whether any of these allegations are true, or whether they even pass the smell test as being plausible. Women don't care. They got mad the minute they heard them. They might be true, and that's good enough for the vast majority of women.

Trump understands this. He probably even expected it all to go down this way eventually.

But it doesn't matter. Trump's an entertainer first and foremost, and like all entertainer he loves a stage.

MSNBC has been speculating that he'll launch a new network/media platform in the wake of his loss of the election. I think they've got it right.

His base isn't going away. They'll be loyal and fanatical core audience for whatever shape his next media endeavor takes.

It's not coincidental that Alex Jones went all in for Trump and has basically transformed Infowars into the Trump Campaign Network. Look for these two to come up with some joint media/TV venture after the election.

Matt Drudge and Rush Limbaugh launched highly successful enterprises built on harassing the Clintons in the 1990s. Watch for history to repeat itself.

There's really no downside for Trump in this election. If he wins, he gets to be president. If he loses he has just executed the most masterful advertising campaign in global history to launch is new media empire. What's not to like about either outcome?

Actually suing the NYT is probably a winning strategy for ANY conservative politician at ANY time. People dont really believe them anymore and they're bankrupt.
.
The republican party hasn't been on his side for a long time. The difference this go around is that people can see that clearly now - they are not likely to be taken in by any new attempts to stab Trump in the back.
.
As for the polls how many times has Trump been down by double digits and come back to even? But they never go more than a point or two beyond even. I find that suspicious - it's almost like the polls are responding to the proximity of the relative poll numbers rather than anything the candidates are doing.

Agree, I un-followed, he's becoming obnoxious. I mean, you don't look any smarter than anyone else if you get to change your prediction as new information comes in. That's the whole point of predictions-as-smarts. You simply were able to discern what would transpire and how it would play out.

"Look how smart I am, I was able to make the correct prediction with all information immediately preceding the event!"
