Michigan goes to Trump
With seven critical Genessee County precincts now reporting results, Donald Trump appears to have won Michigan by 13,225 votes -- a margin of less than three-tenths of a percent --  out of more some 4.8 million cast, according to unofficial results posted late this morning by the state. Trump held a 12,488-vote lead over Hillary Clinton through the morning. But with all 83 Michigan counties reporting, Trump won 2,277,636 and Clinton 2,264,361. Trump's margin of victory was exceedingly close: He won 47.6% compared to 47.33% for Clinton, according to state totals updated at 11:30 a.m. today.
I am informed that this is the worst Democratic performance in the Electoral College since Michael Dukakis.

Looks like the popular vote is going to Clinton. Crazy to have seen that twice in as many decades. Thank God for the Electoral College.

You see Google's "Election Insights"? Funny how the factoids they like to pull are that Clinton did better with blacks and Trump voters are less educated. Remember, don't out-group yourself.

Back before the housing bubble crash I had an argument with a guy about illegal immigration and how it was running natives out of the construction business. He said the citizens should be like him, quit their job and start flipping houses. I'm pretty sure that guy got a job at the fed.

More recently I was having an argument with a "conservative" about Trump and his stance on illegal immigration and free trade. Both, I argued, are hurting the working class. They bring benefits but there are downsides too. We need to address that. Trade deals that benefit the rich and upper-class, but harm the middle and working class are tearing at the social fabric of the nation. This can't continue I argued. Since he was a conservative he accused me of being willing to work with unions, the worse thing he could think of.

What's the most interesting part is how Trump cracked the Rust Belt wide open - the first GOP candidate since Reagan to pull it off. And he did it the way Reagan did, with an outreach to the working-class voters the Democrats abandoned.

Bu-bu-but-but the popular vote.

Knowing that a large percentage of Dems would vote for the Anti-Christ if he had a D behind his name; it's still depressing to witness tens of millions vote for that POS.

Notwithstanding continued third world immigration the white vote is still a potent force, and will continue to be so for a long time. Every year some bitter, wasted, Democrat voting, old white boomer dies off, and and is replaced on the voting rolls by his grandchildren. Young, white, angry, alienated, who see that they are maligned and despised by the Republocrats and their lackeys in the media. He will pull the lever for Trump or the men who follow Trump. More than anything, it has been the internet that has busted the control that the left has had on us for so many decades. Ain't no going back.

Yet the Left is uniformly tone deaf. Their rationalization for Trumpslide vary from oblivious to inscrutable. The hunter in me see them behaving like herd animals that don't know to bolt when one after another of their number is sniped from cover.

A vote to gut the D/R duopoly that disenfranchised heritage America required an outsider; he had to be both rich (used to funding his own physical safety) and a celebrity in his own right. Quite frankly, Trump may be the single person capable of seizing this moment.

It is far too early to know if this changes the timing or the violence of the coming separation (and establishment of geographic boundaries.) Only once the financial mania ends will we begin to get a handle on that.

At 3:10 on 3/10/10 in the heart of the 310 area code on campus at UCLA, I stepped up to the most beautiful woman i had ever seen in my life after getting out of a final exam for that quarter.

she turned me down on spot and told me IHAB, confusingly- probably because she was an aphi from an old money berzerkely ca family, and i was just a socal sack of white shieeeet GDI at the time. but that was just the exterior, and on the interior we vibed way hard. we both were top of class and the professor tried to group us. i had a lafs experience when she had sat next to me in class earlier that january. blue eyes, red hair, big tits = right up my fawking alley...she melted every wall i had built up internally after getting out of a relationship with a jewish woman earlier,(who wasn't allowed to be with me for obvious reasons despite the fact her family was one of those neocohen fams)...i was not expecting anything and was looking forward to the lecture. i will never forget that feeling when she sat next to me and can attest it exists. it was 01/25/2010 and that day changed my already hectic life.

She chased me around campus with a friend but after being rejected fairly rudely, I did not know how to emotionally react while walking to class, so i ran away from her. I overlooked many things, but I couldn't overlook her lack of value appreciation, and the confusing aspect of her reaching out to me. it hurts, still, thinking of what could be. ships passing in the night most indeed.

@4 I was convinced that the Democrat party would be destroyed because it would occupy the Oval Office when the (financial) music stopped and be tarred with the ensuing Greater Depression (GD).

Looks like the creeping advance of the GD didn't require a stock crash to claim its first political party scalp. As Steve Sailer notes, it's a party of the fringes held together by KKKrazy Glue. With even a hint of resource restriction, that coalition fragmented even as enough of the white tribes (and those who appreciate them) coalesced to garner a "win."

This is still, however, a transition period. Come winter and spring we'll see if the cucks finally wake up and smell the smoke of the stakes we'll tie them to if they play Leftist on us.

Within 20 years I predict neither the democrat party, the republican party nor the USA as constituted today will exist. When we grasp what Atlanta GA looked like in 1850 vs 1870, it's not so hard to imagine what can change by 2036.

Alright. I'm going to make a bet. IF Trump can get border control in place, Hispanic identity will start to converge with White identity.

Essentially you're going to get a split in Hispanic identity: those that remember days of prosperity and trade (Spain way back) and project that onto Spain's civilizational/ethnic rival at the time: the British, and those that identify with rural / peasant / South American Spanish identity of resentment and fatalism.

Spain's history shows that split, it may even be ethnic; Aragonese / Catalan / Southern. You're going to get to watch it physically occur over a national boundary.

At one point when it was still close in FL, there were claims that Latino turnout was very high (I think those ended up being false). I wondered at the time: what if Trump loses, and it's specifically because millions of Latinos finally got involved in politics in order to stop the candidate who wants to control the border? Seems like that would have validated everything Trump and the alt-right have been saying, and probably driven millions of whites to that side. The next election could have been a landslide for an even more nationalist/white-conscious GOP.

But that would have followed four years of all the damage Clinton could do, so it's better this way.

What is most amazing to me, listening to all the talking heads on the news networks is how completely out of touch they actually are to what was going on. I have been following this election mostly through blogs, social media and a few sites such as Drudge and my impression of the election is completely different. I was not surprised by the election. Most everyone I talked to (I am not American), thought Clinton would take it. Many were incredulous when I told them Trump was going to win. For anyone using the internet as their main news source and staying away from MSM, the support for Trump was palpable and real. And his win didn't come as a surprise.

Media talking heads and pollsters were talking a lot about what went wrong and how they could learn from this, but I don't think they were necessarily learn anything. If they were concerned about accuracy, they would have adjusted accordingly a long time ago.

The Trump win tonight was a victory of the John Birch Society which was started by Businessmen! It was John Birch, along with the Phyllis Schafly's Eagle Forum, that educated hundreds of thousands of Americans and alerted them to the communist infiltration of America. This was a John Birch Victory! This is Barry Goldwater's vindication.

Thank God Trump won!

Alright. I'm going to make a bet. IF Trump can get border control in place, Hispanic identity will start to converge with White identity.

There is some truth to this, depending on the original nationality. Mexicans are not Guatamalans, both are not Colombians, and the Brazilians are even more different because of the Portuguese background.

Northern Mexicans seem to assimilate better than southern ones.

Essentially you're going to get a split in Hispanic identity: those that remember days of prosperity and trade (Spain way back) and project that onto Spain's civilizational/ethnic rival at the time: the British, and those that identify with rural / peasant / South American Spanish identity of resentment and fatalism.

Dude, all of Latin America was done with Spain back in the 1820's, that was nearly 200 years ago. The split is along genetic lines. Look at Mexico, the elites are mostly European bloodlines, the peasants are more Indian, some are almost entirely Indian.

There's where the split lies. Probably could even detect it with careful polling research in Texas, Arizona and California.

That timeline is unsettling. Trump is due to be inaugurated on Jan, 20, 2017. Obama has promised a 'smooth' transition. Really? Is there anyone here that believes anything that evil traitor has to say? The next 70 days may be the most dangerous in America's history. May be the most dangerous the planet has ever seen. In modern times, at least.
Remember the obama people have flooded our country with un-vetted people many of whom are almost certainly jihadis. There were billions of rounds of various ammo purchased by the government whose whereabouts I think are unknown. Obama has the manpower, the arms and ammo, and, all that storage food the government purchased. Knowing his tendencies why would he not roll the dice and try for it all? If he fails, even partially, he may consider it as heralding that last imam. Those people and himself are certifiable and they really. don't. care. what happens to the planet.
And, all he has to do is pop a few emp's over the states, declare it the fault of anyone but himself and the muslims, declare martial law and loose his personal army. Our best are overseas and even Trump could not get them back in time. Yes, we are very well armed as citizens; not so well organized. And, most of us do not have nukes in our back pockets. Could some patriot boomer captains so something? Maybe. Or, not. Regardless, under these scary scenarios, the continental US would become something out of Nick Cole's imagination.
Pray it won't be so.

.
I'm a Trump supporter and I live in California but I support the secession movement and here's why. When the US was founded the federal government had only 32 "enumerated" powers - most of the important stuff was done by the states. Since then the federal government has taken over almost every area of life and the result is that the people are unrepresented, and more importantly, everything that the federal government does is half-assed because it's so distant from the people that it doesn't know what is going on.
.
We need to get back to a union of independent states. If California secedes other states will do so as well and we will have something similar to what the constitution originally intended. I very much doubt that California seceding would affect practical relations with other states in any way.
.
Would an independent California be well run? No - but it's not well run now. At least this way the government in Sacramento would have to answer directly to the people. Right now all the important decisions are made in Washington, so Sacramento never takes responsibility for anything it does.

Nice try but it doesn't fit the facts. 43% of those "young, white, angry, alienated" grandkids voted for Clinton. Only 34% of whites aged 45-64 and 39% of whites aged 65 and over voted for Clinton. @13 Limbaugh talked about it today, how whites voted as a group and the Left had a meltdown. Limbaugh asked what's wrong with whites voting their interests? As I pointed out to friends, we're still a majority and the minorities need to deal with it. This is what the Left and all these whiny minorities need to understand: the Tea Party was us being nice. Trump is us saying, "This is your last chance to stop being ***es." I was thoroughly convinced if Trump lost we'd be looking at a potential civil war. Things are still bad, regardless. We have some breathing room, for now. Let's not screw this up.

@16 NICE! I won $300 betting a friend. We were going to do $10 for each percentage point of difference. We didn't specify EC or popular. If it were EC, he'd owe me (73.5% difference) $735 on top of the $300. I decided to just let him give the $300 and call it a day.

"More than anything, it has been the internet that has busted the control that the left has had on us for so many decades. Ain't no going back."

@19 Remember Obama commenting a few weeks back about how it was nice with three objective (snort) TV channels compared to now? What's wrong Barry? Can't face some comepetion?

"I've been walking around all day with a giant happy grin on my face."

@22 Me too. The Daily Mail article showing Clinton supporters losing it last night is gold.

"It would actually be great if California did secede. 55 less votes for the dem(on)s."

@44 That or it'd be nice to see the EC composed of Americans per district. That'd eliminate their 55 really quick.

"Clinton won the popular vote.

Trump is NOT the president"

@47 Troll, using that logic, neither was Bill Clinton. Get it through your head: your side is a bunch of butthurt losers and WE. DON'T. FUCKING. CARE!

Guliani is too old to be AG, and we don't know his health status.

As a general principle, I hope that Trump does not let GOPe saddle him with a lot of retreaded Bush administration personnel. He should reach further down the ladder, as he did with Pence.

No Gingrich. No Palin. None of those losers from the 90's and 00's. Fresh people who don't come with a moving van full of baggage.

@60 BGS, is that like Silk Road for gays? JK, couldn't help myself

"She wouldn't have won popular vote without illegal voters, illegal apologists, dead people and 60k pardoned felons who now roam Virginia."

@66 The left was surprised at that, too, despite throwing everything the Trumpslide still came out on top. Too funny.

"At one point when it was still close in FL, there were claims that Latino turnout was very high (I think those ended up being false).

But that would have followed four years of all the damage Clinton could do, so it's better this way."

@89 We couldn't have survived four years of Clinton. Good riddance to her!

"The Trump win tonight was a victory of the John Birch Society which was started by Businessmen! It was John Birch, along with the Phyllis Schafly's Eagle Forum, that educated hundreds of thousands of Americans and alerted them to the communist infiltration of America. This was a John Birch Victory! This is Barry Goldwater's vindication.

Thank God Trump won!"

@94 As I explained to family, THIS (Trump) is how the Founders viewed public service: temporary politicians from the citizen class, usually upper class.

"Speaking of being alive, LOL:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cwy2nCYWEAAbojl.jpg"

@100 Something I've always wondered about is how politicians would react if they lived long enough to see their work undone (i.e Franco in Spain, Communists who died right before the USSR's collapse, etc.). Here's to hoping Obama doesn't 6 himself.

"The Republican party gave Romney 43 million for advertising. They gave Trump nothing."

@108 Drudge had a link saying that votes cost Trump $5/vote. That's YUGE!!!!

"Wrong. You didn't break the demographics down far enough. Trump won a majority of white voters in every age bracket"

@111 Anecdotal evidence but I believe I'm the only one of my siblings to have voted for der Trumpenfuherer. I'd love to see my in-laws reactions as well as siblings to last night...heh...Leftists losing it.

"Except what would probably happen is that China would laugh at our stupidity, and jump at the chance to make California theirs. Pouring in money, buying land and influence, encouraging immigration -they think long term."

@132 When I was living/working there for the better part of the year, it always blew me away the billboards along I-10 and 15 in Mandarin.

"Ann Coulter for WH Press Secretary. Can you imagine?

Or Milo for the lolz ..."

@155 A buddy suggested him or Shep Smith.

" Put some tough, savvy business types in charge of depts. like energy, education, commerce, transportation and task them with shrinking these useless, parasitic bureaucracies down to as close to nothing as possible. Ditto with the EPA."

@164 Give them the mandate to run these organizations and downsize them until such time they can be eradicated. Given it was before my time, but remember when the agency responsible for setting airline ticket prices was liquidated?

Anonymous A Deplorable Paradigm Is More Than Twenty Cents November 09, 2016 9:25 PM

Trump owes the GOPe in direct proportion to the money and support they provided his campaign.

That's zero.

I figure we can do without at least seven of those depts. But it seems pretty unlikely our new president will be able to simply abolish them (though one can hope). Instead simply starve them and let them wither for now then dispense with them once rendered down to a few place holders and lifers getting ready to retire.

Our new president is going to need some political insiders in order to deal with the rats' nest on the Hill. Gingrich would seem to be OK for this. Maybe Sessions? Gowdey? Chaffetz? They have to know the ins and outs but also be trustworthy.

Palin at EPA would be great. That is one dept. that really, really needs to be destroyed and I bet Sarah would love to do it.

Coulter as press secty. would be simply the best entertainment value imaginable.

Milo for the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. It would be especially fun to watch him deal with the Moslem states.

Blogger Mountain Man November 09, 2016 9:27 PM

Id like to see a massive rollback of the new emission standards on all vehicles - particularly diesel. Elimination of the EPA would accomplish this.
The new mandates are killing the resource extraction industries.
The recently rolled out Tier 4 emission motors add additional five figure costs to the purchase of new over the road trucks and heavy equipment. Making it worse they consume up to 30 % more fuel. An over the road truck equipped with a Tier4 motor will average 3 miles to the gallon versus 6 without.
Now the fucktards in the EPA are planning on instituting CAFE standards for over the road trucks. This is sheer lunacy and totally impossible for manufacturers to meet. . The EPA has to go. They are implementing the Kyoto Protocol via beauracratic fatwa.

I would also like to see a 50 year moratorium on any and all new acquisition of private property by the USFWS, US Forest Service, BLM, and National Park Service. They ( particularly the USFWS) are gobbling up private land , all throughout the country, at an alarming rate. Without private property we will cease to exist as a free nation - plain and simple.

Excellent insight.
Trump is someone who is more from the mold of a Robert Welch- with a small tinge of populism thrown in.. A throwback to the types of "America First" individuals more prevalent in the 30s and 40s.... Taft, Bryant, Buffet, Linbergh. His election is reviving these sound ways of governing in a way no else since that time, has been able to. Ron Paul, to his credit , tried- but the charisma just wasn't there.

Agreed... that was Reagan's downfall. He surrounded himself with Beltway Barnacles ( some exceptions i.e James Watt). In the end the monumental change he could have pulled off was watered down significantly

And history shows that the utopian, liberal views of the young often evolve into acceptance of ancient values as bitter experience forces the truth on them. Yes, the boomers will die off. Not so sure the millenials will go as you predict.

Yes there is that and it's a very valid point. It's very heartening that a majority of of whites aged 18-29 voted Trump, even if it was by a small margin. And it's extremely heartening that the 30-44 age bracket whites (the late GenX-ers) went solidly Trump.

My main point is that in the short term it's the Boomers and older GenX-ers who are doing the most to save civilisation.

It's certainly possible that the Millennials will eventually pick up the baton of civilisation, and a successful Trump presidency could do a lot to inspire them.

That's a very good point about not putting people in who carry a lot of "baggage". My initial thought was that our new President should select as many as possible from outside the political class or at least from outside D.C. I am not all that familiar with all the Republican governors or with business leaders likely to put America first.

I really like Sessions and Gowdey and Chaffetz but would they do more good where they are? Trump will need people who know how the sleaze machine operates in order to effectively deal with it.

Back at a laptop. Had people cheering and crying at work. Had one woman I rather respected go on a rant that she was ashamed a "bully" got elected. When I asked her about the various positions that Clinton held on say abortion (which she claims to oppose), she said I didn't understand because "YOU AREN'T A WOMAN!"

Had two Hispanic guys give me a high five. Two black guys were laughing so hard that they had to go to break to calm down.

My bride said that a teacher at her school went home because of "distress". One tried to say it was all "racism" that won, while the black principle shot her down saying it was because no one in their right mind trusted Hillary.

Today was like a Mel Brooks movie. All sacred cows were slaughtered!

In this Trump term, He must correct the political-demographic landscape. Demand voter ID, de-fund sanctuary cities, criminalize super PACs or at least limit them, dump electronic voter machines, immediately deport illegals, de-fund community organizers, ignore main-stream media, ignore cuckservatives, ignore libtards, ignore SJW, ignore feminists, ignore liberal arts academia, on and on and on.

Congratulations are in order. I didn't see this coming, but what could be better than a pleasant surprise?

The media people here have already started their weeping and wailing. To, of course, the tune of how Trump won while having 47,5 % of the actual votes versus Hillary's 47,7 %. Racist this, sexist that, blah blah blah. But I do literally love to see them so very upset.

Donald Trump received fewer votes than Mitt Romney did in 2012 - he underperformed Romney by about 600,000 votes.

Hillary Clinton received FAR FEWER votes than Barack Obama did, she underperformed Obama's 2012 vote total by well over 5.5 million votes (and underperformed Obama's 2008 vote total by about 9.5 million votes).

Trump won (or appears to have won) six states that Obama won in 2012; Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. In all but Florida, Trump received fewer votes than Obama did in 2012. Yes, that's right - if Clinton had received the same amount of votes that Obama did in 2012, she would have won all of those states (70 electoral votes) and have been elected president.

So, if you're a Trump supporter, give a big shout-out to those lazy AF Democrats & Liberals in Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin - their lack of turnout made your guy President. Also, don't forget to send their state DNC headquarters a Christmas card...

I also note that in 45 states, Clinton received fewer votes than Obama did in 2012. 45!!!

Trump didn't so much win this election as Clinton lost it.

In each of the 2008, 2012 and 2016 elections, the Republican candidate got about 60 million votes. In those same years, the Democrat candidate total dropped from 69 million to 65 million to 60 million.

The country has not lurched rightward, the election was decided because Republicans and Trump supporters showed up on election day while people who voted for Obama did not...

One other interesting fact - third party candidates received over 6 million votes this year, nearly 2&1/2 times what they did in 2012...

Trump has promised to drain the swamp.

Then in his acceptance speech, he promised not to drain the swamp.

This is less worrying than it might seem, since when you purge powerful people, you don’t want them to see it coming.

From now till the start of the purge, he is going to be playing his cards very close to his chest. Any predictions made from his behavior between now and the purge will be incorrect, because his behavior between now and the purge will be deceptively moderate. The start of the purge will itself be deceptively moderate. And then he will keep on purging. How far he will go, nobody knows. I don’t know.

I would guess the purge starts in March at the earliest. First he has to get his key people into position. Then suddenly, wham, he gets his enemies out of position.

Cruz should be deported to Cuba or Canada, not given a life time appointment.

he's not going to be deported, so you may as well stop fantasizing about that.

if you put him on the SC, you permanently eliminate the possibility of him trying to violate the Natural Born Citizen clause ever again.

which, as i've pointed out before, needs to be clarified anyways. 1790 Naturalization Act is a disaster in this regard.

As the boomers die off and are replaced by millennials the Democrats will be the beneficiaries.

it's like you've forgotten that the Boomers were the Hippy generation or something.

look, the kids are more liberal than the adults that they grow up to be.

whether this is due to .gov indoctrination or is hormonal or simply immaturity, i don't think anyone can really argue that.

IF Millenial Whites are majority Trump at 18
THEN i think it likely that they're going to be WAY more Right at 50.
