Identity politics

Like war, it only takes one side to practice identity politics for them to become the operational rules of the game. The reason the Left is reacting with such fear and outrage to the election of the God-Emperor Ascendant is because they understand that the breaking of the so-called Blue Wall and the shift of the white woman vote to the Republican Party means that a majority of whites now effectively subscribe to the same identity politics to which Hispanics, Blacks, Asians, Jews, Muslims, and Africans all subscribe.

The Trump administration need pay no more heed to the anti-White identity interests than the Obama administration paid to the White identity interests. In fact, it should not, because Donald Trump's second term depends upon continuing to ride the transformation of the Republican Party into the White Party.

It is very hard for those with strong ideological principles to accept this transformation. It was, and is, difficult for me to do so. But the fact, the logic, and the observable reality is that you can no more successfully appeal to ideology in an age of identity politics than you can successfully argue dialectic before an audience limited to rhetoric.

If Trump manages to rule effectively as a socially conservative yet pro-working class (emphasis on the "working") President he could make this change permanent.

Small government libertarianism doesn't really fly in the rust belt.

Identity politics is a winning game plan when you just have the ear ofa large minority.

The white working class in the U.S has power no other group can touch.

And they're starting to wake up.

Let it become a contest between the White Party and the Colonist Party. White men are literally the only people in the world that care about the physical safety of white women, so they will come home and it will be an easy contest.

FFS, settle down. Everyone was freaking about how OMG THE MUSLIM BAN ISN'T ON THE WEB SITE! Now it is. Does anyone relax and realize that perhaps 70 days before the man takes office is not the time to judge him on his actions?

As I have said before, I don't give a damn what he does so long as he builds the wall and significantly reduced immigration. The initial signs are actually considerably better than I'd expected.

So, everyone, settle down and stop looking for excuses to criticize or create drama. The man isn't even in office yet, and regardless, he is not going to preside in exactly the way you hope. He never was. Deal with it.

And of course at the end of the dark road of identity politics, whether there's a "white identity" or not, is the abandonment of meritocracy and efficiency in domestic policy, because you're no longer voting for the best available policy, but for government pandering to your identity group.

Uh... hello? Muh feminism? Muh glass ceiling? Muh pussy grabbing?

Turns out a majority of white women like ZFG charismatic bad boy billionaires. This is shocking to noodle-armed numales and hungry, hungry hippofeminists alike.

The good news is the creepy crawly coalition has learned nothing from its BTFO and is doubling down on the same rhetoric that causes normal women to reach for their sharpest meatcleaver:

A bestselling feminist author told a national conference that “dismantling patriarchy” requires that women must stop listening to white men.

“We have to get white women in order,” Roxane Gay said Friday at the Facing Race conference in Atlanta. “Until women are less invested in what white men think, we aren’t dismantling patriarchy.”

I see no signs that we need to worry about Trump's immigration policy. Not only did he say he'd deport 3 million immediately, but he was coy about what he'll do with the rest. The media wants us to believe he is waffling, but the more likely scenario is that he is being pragmatic. It'll be easier to get the wall up and deport the 3 million if the left believes he'll stop there. But Trump is smart enough to understand that amnesty means electoral defeat. The rest of them have to go back.

Keep in mind what John C. Wright says eloquently: It's not really "Identity Politics" if the identity depends on acceptance of an ideology; e.g., Milo not really being gay, Alonzo Rachel not really being black, etc. One of the weirder aspects of this is how among Jews, those who are the most culturally traditional and religiously observant - that is, whose Jewish identity is the strongest - are/were the most likely to vote Republican in general and Trump in particular.

Someone else commented that it has been in BR mode for decades. Actually, due to the emphasis on minority hiring, it is WORSE than it would be in a homogenous Banana Republic. There have been threads here discussing Washington DC mass transit workers. Whites are barely even show in the employment statistics. Result? A decaying system that is steps below mass transit in white dominated areas. If I was to hire say my average 100 IQ relative for a government job, it would be a major improvement over the 85 IQ affirmative action hire.

He can accomplish a huge amount on immigration in his first 90 days without Congress. All it would take is a few high-profile raids on places like meat packing plants along with prosecuting the employers to break the back of the immigrant labor industry. Make the employers afraid and millions will leave within months. Place a big tax on foreign remittances and the whole thing will speed up.

There's a hog farm a few miles from me that hires illegals. The owner is one of those who brags about how hard they work and how obedient they are. Of course, he claims you can't get Americans to work hard these days -- not that I ever saw a Help Wanted sign at his place when I was looking for work.

Everyone knows about it, including local cops and county big-wigs. I don't know where the nearest immigration office is, but they probably know too.

All Trump has to do is announce a policy switch from "Catch and deport as few as possible" to "Catch and deport as many as possible using the current laws." And then fire anyone who tries to put up roadblocks against that. If he wants to really speed things up, rewards for whistleblowers and bonuses for highly successful immigration agents might be in order.

When it's in the interest of the corporation to flood a nation with H1B visas the Banana Republic doesn't say no else they get a Smedley Butler giving them a Springfield enema. When the people for years are screaming for a wall and burning down politicians that won't give it to them for over a decade and still don't have it, that is a Banana Republic.

A friend said his mother was complaining that her illegal maid might be deported. I told him he should point out to her that the law already says she can be fined up to $2000 for a first offense of knowingly hiring an illegal.

No one has worried about that because everyone knew it was being enforced about as often as jaywalking, with the occasional raid on a slaughterhouse to pretend to be doing something (and probably because someone got behind on his bribes). But the laws are already there, so people who hire illegals better not wait too long to see what he will do. That lady and her maid could get busted on Jan. 21, when agents know they won't get fired for doing their jobs.

Three priorities given in the 60 Minutes interview:

(1) Address the health care mess called ObamaCare.

(2) Address immigration (wall and deportation of criminals).

(3) Address the tax mess and the IRS code.

No specifics given - WONDERFUL! Give the enemy NOTHING with which to oppose the plans.

Get the team together, give them their marching orders, and then hit the ground running on Day 1.

This is true LEADERSHIP in action, people! Get used to it.

My kids.
My grandkids.
My neighborhood.
My town.
My state.
My nation.

It's a pyramid. F up the lower levels and it becomes increasingly difficult to make the upper levels good. The globalists tried to add another layer at the bottom..."My world." The problem is, it cannot be made into "my" world. The world is mostly populated by NOT ME. People like me occupy a rather small fraction of the world, and the great mistake was believing that the others played by the same Marquis de Queensbury rules I used. Your cartoon in the OP says it all.

Instead of Pepe, we could put Karen Carpenter's face on a T-shirt above the lyrics, "You and me against the world." There was a gentle soul who at that moment grasped that the world is NOT OUR FRIEND. It is populated by people who at best are our competitors.

Everything EVERYONE loves about our modern world was created by so-called white people. Our ancestors alone created this system everyone takes for granted. I'm beyond sick of listening to fucking morons who think that what they take for granted fell from the sky, that our modern comforts were somehow inevitable. They weren't inevitable for tens of thousands of years of human history, and only a confluence of unusual conditions 1000-1500 years ago in ONE PART of planet Earth produced the people predisposed to create them.

People of mostly Northern European and English ancestry (POMNEAEA) are the geese that lay the golden eggs. It is beyond past time that everyone pull their heads out of their asses long enough to grasp that without the geese there are no eggs. The world without an adequate concentration of POMNEAEA is at best China writ large...a place of technology and social rigidity where conditions don't change over thousands of years.

Those who don't accept this are in effect saying, "If you like your modern life you can keep your modern life" even as we dilute, disenfranchise and dismember the very population that produces it.

I will admit to be worried about Christie. Trump nipped that issue in the bud. Now anyone who believes the nay-saying cucks out there right now are willfully participating in the undermining of Trumps administration. He has demonstrated on several occasions that he will put a stop to any establishment sabotage attempts. Do not believe anything that is being said about Trump not implementing his campaign promises until he himself fails to follow through or submits legislation that is significantly different than what he has promised.

From ideology to identity, or up from libertarianism, much like Molyneux.

The left says to each identity - e.g. both muslims and lgbtq, plutocrats and foreign workers, that they will give them things for votes.

Ironically, white identity is mostly "leave us alone" or "stop attacking us". We really want smaller government, but with a rule of law.

If Trump's Admin actually follows through on numerous policy about-faces (which given policy toxicity is a necessity IMO), the reality is that a lot of fantasies and illusions will dissipate, and the top-line will in all likelihood look bad.

We are in such a deep hole now (financially, economically, socially and philosophically) that the road ahead must pass through a valley of great hardship. For but one example, if Trump's Admin properly tears down the vicious web of cartel-enabling rules that prop up the Medical-Insurance-Cartel, it will inevitably (and PROPERLY) result in waves of layoffs of everyone in that industry, from the custodians sweeping the floors in hospitals and in pharma industry offices to researchers, doctors, nurses, and the legions of people employed in the "insurance" industry.

In all likelihood, ten million people might get laid off. This is inevitable; the cartel became such a dead-weight loss that continued growth of this morbidly obese industry will destroy all other industries combined. But all people will see are the newly unemployed people, and as we established on a prior thread, ten million people who worked in the Medical Cartel cannot just walk next door and get jobs (esp. at the same pay) in another industry.

There is so much future hardship now baked into this absurd "economy" of cross-Cartels that pulling on one thread may initiate the inevitable shake-up, but whoever pulled on the thread will be blamed for the ensuing debacle.

Furthermore, Trump has to still navigate carefully. The Overton window has shifted a fair bit, but not nearly enough. It may take literally years of counter-propaganda before America is well and truly ready to do what needs to be done.

But if, in the meantime, he can stop the hemorrhaging at the border and with the refugee and H1-B scams, scare illegals or lapsed legals to self-deport, and keep us out of any unnecessary wars, then he probably has bought us time for that to happen.

Although it's narrow, there's still a path for a relatively peaceful path out of this mess. I'm praying that we can utilize it as much as possible. Even if it fails, the damage will be considerably less the more we can get out of here peacefully first.

On this topic, I was a little confused. Every single Dem I've remembered seeing who swapped to Trump did so because the cognitive dissonance of what their eyes saw and what the media was saying finally got to them and broke them out of their fake reality. CNN lying openly and brazenly probably did far more work in electing Donald Trump than most of Trump's staffers.

Now, these hatchling convertees are not necessarily signing up for a shared white identity, as they are mostly converted by realizing that Trump really isn't Hitler and his supporters are some of the nicest and sanest people you can meet. It's really a rejection of falsehoods.

Now is the premise that a majority of whites now effectively engage in the same identity politics as other races based on the fact that, now free from their binding, they'll start seeing the existence and importance of identity politics?

Otherwise I can't think of how Trump's victory signifies that. Definitely a white identity is emerging still, but that identity being the majority I'm not sold on.

I have been thinking about how debts are created and settled in Which Way Western Man.

Irving Fisher, Professor of Economics at Yale, writing when the great depression of the early Thirties was at its worst, described how it (DEBT CREATION) had been resorted to first in the German mining town Schwanenkirchen and in Woergl, a town of some 4,000 in Austria. And in both cases it worked no less than a miracle. The fame of its fantastic success in actually bringing about an extraordinary prosperity, even amidst the crushing and ruinous depression which gripped the rest of Germany and Austria, caused it to be taken up in many other places, and even created a demand that the money system of the entire land be modeled after it!

If he is successful then yes, things will crash rapidly, followed by rapid growth as assets are redeployed to more efficient positions. Especially if he is successful at getting his tax policy passed.

I think that is why he wants to attack healthcare first. That beast is going to fall hard and doing it early will give time for recovery before the 2020 election. I am hoping he goes ahead and does an audit of the Fed at nearly the same time.

The leftist propaganda conglomerate will remain just that and will continue to work to undermine President Trump. There is no reason whatsoever to start believing anything they say, write or broadcast.

The GOPe still exists and still opposes President Trump. They were rocked by the election results and are too frightened to do anything but shut up and act like they are going along but, in fact, they will work to obstruct and undermine our President at every opportunity. This will include floating rumors precisely to cause disquiet and discouragement among our President's adherents in hopes of weakening his support so they can come out in the open and wreck President Trump's agenda. They, like the leftists, are lying and manipulative and must be ignored (for now) and removed from office asap.

We must not get our hopes up because Trump won. There were many of us who expressed the sentiment that if he just got the wall built and enforced immigration law that would be a major shift toward getting things cleaned up and would suffice for now. It looks like our President will do this. Be thankful.

Time will tell if our new President will be an agent for real and lasting change or just another prevaricating opportunist. There is potential here for real greatness but only time will tell if that is the case. In the meantime we mustn't let our enemies shake us up with rumors and we must be cautious in deciding just who are friends are. Actions only after January 21. Words won't cut it.

@DC - I forget if you're in the medical field. If so please forgive my ignorance. However, speaking just from a rough on the ground knowledge of the situation in Alabama, I think a fair few of the doers in medicine could be employed.

A. Announce that the VA is hiring.

B. Immediately roll back all the ACA regulations that are killing rural area hospitals. (Rural counties have been decimated by the ACA which means that agricultural accidents which could safely be stabilized for transport or even handled entirely locally now become a race against the clock to reach a major medical center.)

C. Give qualified, excess medical personnel a small housing stipend or tax write-off for moving to and staffing previously closed medical facilities in their state (or another similar/close by).

I'm sure there would still be lay-offs and some pressure for early retirement, but I think that would be one way to deal with the medical snarl.

I keep hearing people say he can't build the wall or reduce the number of illegals. For those who think he is not going to be able to follow through on immigration consider.

1.) the wall is already mandated and funded in the law passed in 2005. We have lacked an executive willing to follow through on the building of it. If Trump wants to do it he doesn't need approval from anyone.

2.) The current laws on immigration already make it illegal to employ illegal immigrants. Trump simply has to make them an enforcement priority.

3.) The law already allows for deportations of illegal immigrants. Trump simply has to make it an enforcement priority. No approval required.

4.) Trump already has the supremacy clause on his side when dealing with sanctuary cities. Thanks to the court case against AZ he also has recent legal precedents.

5.) Half of all illegals are Visa over stays. There is very little investigation required to find and deport these violators.

Thanks to my dad, who was redpilled over 60 years ago by his treatment by google kids he initially attempted to befriend and various subsequent events, I've always held identity politics to be the most important politics. I didn't have a name for them, of course, just a belief that there was nothing more important than sticking up for your own against the hostile world. The way I used to phrase it was, "My first patriotism is to the white race."

Now, the slow and tentative emergence of such an awareness among whites, and the beginning of white identity politics and white nationalism, causes me to react thus:

All it would take is a few high-profile raids

simpler yet: apply Asset Forfeiture policies ( which come from the Drug War ) to Illegal Aliens and turn the local and State police forces loose on them.

if you want to apply maximum pressure, admit that the Constitution gives the Feds no authority to ban any drug and remove the ability of local cops to perform Asset Forfeiture under federal drug violations ( ie - legalize drugs at the Federal level ).

Drug War over and done with, with the concomitant collapse in illegal drug trade profits.

this would be a boon both domestically and for various drug source countries ( like Columbia ) and transit countries ( like Mexico ).

" Do you really think the Democrats are going to move toward the center or towards a white identity themselves? We've already seen how they are doubling down. As predicted."

The most striking aspect of the election and its aftermath is the doubling down on the part of the Left and the media. Those of us who read SJWs Always Lie should not be surprised, but I still find the sheer resistance to reflection and learning incredible. They really think that they didn't call Trump and his supporters "racist" enough. Their stubborn refusal to check their premises and learn from observable reality has already lost them the election, and if they continue in this manner it will surely mean their doom and the dominance of alternative media and explicitly white identity politics.

I greatly appreciated the fact that Trump said he was Pro-Life with no apology, when discussing a Supreme Court nominee. I disagree that putting it back to the states is right, it is still murder, but that is probably the strongest stand on that one issue I have ever heard from any modern politician. (I don't recall what Reagan said.) No flip-flopping there.

That should provide comfort for those who were afraid he would back out of that and was really pro-abortion. He clearly has a conviction.

Stahl was wigging out with the "but someone might not be able to kill their child," though she used different words.

One of Trump's daughters needs to learn about wage inequality a bit, but everything can't be perfect.

I could barely tolerate Stahl in the interview, but Trump and his family did a very good job. I am even more certain that is true since I am sure they taped more than they showed and would have pulled out any missteps if they could have.

Ah. That's why your post said "is effectively a majority" rather than "is a majority".

And of course the Democrats are going to double down. What's going to be interesting is what each of them decide to double down upon, however.

It looks like Trump won the election on good old-fashioned bread-and-butter issues. Jobs, jobs, jobs. That's how he won the Rust Belt states, and the election. Trump represents a significant shift to the left in American politics. Moderate centre-left politics combined with nationalism. That is always going to be a winning combination. I'd vote for it.

The neocons might well move to the Democrats en masse, shifting the Democrats even further right. That would be fantastic. They'd then have to really double down on the identity politics nonsense to disguise their move to the right. That would give the Republicans a complete lock on traditional Democrat voters in flyover states. Hopefully the cucks will jump ship to the Democrats as well.

You'd then have the Democrats as the extreme right globalist party and the potential for the Republicans to be the populist mildly left nationalist party. The Republicans could then remain in government practically indefinitely.

It seems likely he lost some white votes and gained some. If he can actually do something to improve things for the working class/lower middle class he might gain slightly more support there (assuming he goes for a second term). But I agree that he would need to win a larger share of the black male vote. That's doable since policies that help the white working class/lower middle class will also help the black working class/lower middle class.

Of course if the Democrats run a black candidate next time then everything is lost. Unless perhaps he could find a charismatic black VP running mate.

Blogger Tom Kratman November 14, 2016 8:21 PM

A black Dem that doesn't turn off a massive percentage of whites will be hard to find. Obama was a one-off, more or less, being black in appearance but more comfortable with white culture, by far, and more able to present himself as culturally white, by far, than most blacks are or can. And Hispanic percentages, next time, may rise against a black candidate. But, all that being given, still, some pandering is going to be necessary into the foreseeable future.

That lady and her maid could get busted today.  The agents who were arresting illegals who were trying to vote knew that this was a do-or-die moment, and they were right.  Either they had no chance of being punished through the system that had just been repudiated by the election, or there was no point in staying employed in the system period.

Illegals are already leaving.  Enforcement will step up as political diktat is replaced by the letter of the law.  The time for illegal maids to get out is NOW.

With iRobot making better stuff all the time, we probably won't need Mexican maids by 2020.

@119, that is why he going to self deport. He can keep 30% of latinos (likely the more european ones) by not giving telemundo scenes of tearful mothers being pulled from kids. Just make it impossible to work, impossible to get welfare/ health insurance. Just squeeze. -And kill birthright citizenship so no kids they have will be citizens. Also, id for remittances so no work they do get can get $ sent home. Kobach has thought this through.

> Tax policy is easy....0% corporate tax, watch your economy explode upward. Tax dividends if you must...It has been known for decades that corporate income tax is extremely inefficient and harmful.

Yes, it is. But if corporations are going to insist on having the rights of individuals then they should have the responsibilities of them too. The corporate tax rate should be the same as the personal tax rate. It that's too high for a corporation, then it's too high for an individual.

> Although it's narrow, there's still a path for a relatively peaceful path out of this mess.

The violent protests in reaction to Trump's win should disabuse you of that notion. These people aren't going to give up power peaceably.

> Definitely a white identity is emerging still, but that identity being the majority I'm not sold on.

You may be correct, but the progression is inevitable. It's only a matter of time.

> Sometimes it is even me.

On occasion. :)

@50 "50) Face and voice not bad, rehearse your delivery. Decent first attempt."

Also, print your words, and put (tape?) them directly below the camera lens. That makes you look to viewers as if you're looking at them when you're speaking. To keep looking down to read our material is... less than optimal. (Hence the teleprompter / autocue: looking "at" the camera, even though it's really looking below the camera.)

THINK all the time of the person/people you're speaking to on 'the other side of' the camera. (That is, speak 'through' the camera -- the way you speak 'through' a phone! Right? You're not 'aware' of the phone as a device; you're aware of your listener on the other end.) By speaking to "your listener" (in your head) you will come across as not a guy in his bedroom, but as a *present* speaker, speaking directly to your listener(s).

But @99 is right-- good first job.

@118 "reached down below women's rational hamster to put them in their place"

Permit me to provide an example of a 41-yr-old mostly-ex-feminist coming across a real man. {sigh}

My late husband knew how to do with innately. In his courting emails (we had not yet met face-to-face: he in GA, me in WA), I wrote him:

I envision, maybe you can tell me how you feel about it, that (blush) overcoming my resistance to being mastered would be something you would like. I do not ever imagine just giving up and becoming a milquetoast (can women be that?). I have been struggling with my desire to subordinate myself to you and my desire to stay free and independent and to not be mastered. (I think) that struggle would be (is!) part of my 'fight against' you -- the attraction and fear.

He answered:
My Darling, ask yourself what I have "done" to "master" you? It seems that I am your master simply by "being.” You seem to sense my confidence, my composure, my gentle disposition toward you -- all of which speak subtly to your intellect and emotions of reserves of power that need not be impressed upon you. Evidently, there is nothing you can "do" to resist me. Can you talk yourself into disbelieving what you have found to be true? Could you convincingly pretend that I don't exist?

and, later,he wrote;
But it appears that I needn't lift a finger to "master" you -- your own instincts are subjecting you to me. If I "tried" to master you, I would be thwarting the work of your own subconscious desires.

(Oh! What a man, and how I miss him!)

@124 "A black Dem that doesn't turn off a massive percentage of whites will be hard to find. Obama was a one-off, more or less, being black in appearance but more comfortable with white culture, by far, and more able to present himself as culturally white,"

Sorry sir, allow me to disagree: I have always said and felt that the reason the obamination was such a 'hit' was he was a complete blank slate: no history, no background, no writings, no speeches,no 'voter information' of any sort - and yet, he was such a 'clean articulate black' (and, look! who had dedicated himself to helping "his people"; awwww!) that the befuddled lib voters could paint ANYthing they wanted on him -- and there was little to no conflicting info available. (Throw in a real slick liar (surprise!): "what? the Rev said bad things about Ammurrica and Whites? Not EVER in the 20 years when *I* was in his church!); add in boatloads of confirmation bias (and feelz: "we get to vote for a black man! SEEEEEEE how un-racist we are!") -- and a perfect poison slipped in.

The problem is that businesses are REQUIRED by the EEOC to hire people with "proper" documents, even if the business is certain that they're bogus.  Ideally we'd just abolish the EEOC and its enabling "anti-discrimination" laws.  Freedom of association is a human right.
