"A despicable insult"

The Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect and the ADL demand a retraction and apology from Foz Meadows and the editor of Amazing Stories for insulting Holocaust survivors.
The Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect has demanded apologies from Foz Meadows and Steve Davidson, the editor of Amazing Stories, after Meadows called author Vox Day "an actual neo-Nazi" in an article posted on the Amazing Stories web site.

Steven Goldstein, the executive director of the center, called it a "despicable insult to Holocaust survivors" and said Ms Meadows must retract her false claim and "apologize to survivors and to our entire nation." The organization was established in 1959 by Frank's father Otto Frank, whose vision was to "build a world based on equal rights and mutual respect."

Jonathan Greenblatt of the Anti-Defamation League also called it "an inappropriate comparison".
It really is a tremendous insult to those who died in the Holocaust. So terrible. I'm not offended on my own behalf, since the defamation is so obviously untrue, but on theirs. I can only hope Ms Meadows and Mr. Davidson will have the decency to apologize sooner rather than later.

The whole Anne Frank diary is a hoax anyway, basically ghost written by her father after the war as a money making venture. Pretty despicable, actually - especially the passages he wrote of his own daughter masturbating.

Amazon suggested a book to me by one Mark Wandrey whom I never heard of. I was looking him up, and after finding this comment by him I have decided to try it.

re: Vox Day and the Hugos

I fail to see how his personal politics has anything to do with his writing. The 1st amendment protects speech (writing) we don’t like as much as that we do. I’m more than capable of working with someone I find morally reprehensible, as I currently living in a country with a president I feel the same way about. So what difference does it make what he says. If the writing is liked, like the writing.

It’s about time we grow up and stop trying to force others to dislike someone we dislike. You are not the morality police. Thank the gods we don’t have one of those (yet). If he gets enough votes, he wins. That means his work was the best. How is anyone else diminished by this result?

Excellent troll, Vox.

And yeah, the Anne Frank Center, if it wasn't founded by leftists to begin with, has been thoroughly subverted by SJWs in the same way the Catholic Church and countless other non-profits have.

What a pathetic, lame press release.

And it's a damn shame so many American Jews choose to side with impotent victimhood in remembering the Holocaust, best exemplified by the weepy "Holocaust porn" stories of Anne Frank and Eli Wiesel.

On the contrary, they shy away from, ignore, and even dislike the example of Simon Wiesenthal, who didn't want anyone's damn sympathy. Instead, he wanted revenge, based on his own power and dignity.

Anonymous Desert Rat January 12, 2017 1:46 PM

How many holocaust survivors are still around? I have met two and that was almost 40 years ago (and they were in their 50's).

How many people have ever even seen an actual Nazi in real life and not in an old news reel? Vox has pointed out that if the situation in the West gets bad enough we may see people turn to a level of ruthlessness comparable to that of the real Nazis but we ain't there yet. If any of these clowns whining about "neo-nazis" ever ran into a real Nazi they would soil themselves.

what "all men" were promised in 1776.

... this is so dumb it's almost beyond comprehension.

the Declaration doesn't promise anything to anyone. it's a statement of aspiration and a listing of grievances.

even then, it has NO POWER to affect anything, anywhere, AT ANY TIME. the US didn't even have a Confederation at the time that the Declaration was issued.

IF you are going to assert that the Declaration has made a "promise" to the whole world
THEN, of necessity, the whole world *must* be ruled by the Declaration ( and it's attendant documents ) in order that the instruments of the Declaration ( the US government ) can bring these supposed 'promises' to them.

and this doesn't even get into the problem of populations ( Islam and it's desire for a Caliphate and universal submission to Allah, for instance ) who vehemently DO NOT WANT the principles of the Declaration enacted.

i see that you have neatly side stepped the primary issue though:
that the accusation of Communism ( as with the accusation of Fascism ) is almost always argument by fallacy; Guilt by Association.

it is telling that you are so desperate to defend those being accused of Communism but that you have nothing to say of those being accused of Fascism.

The solution of course is to round up all these Amazing Stories editors and put them in "work camps" complete with swimming pools and libraries. a "contemplation" is still not a "promise".

unless you're telling us that you're a moron.

even Lincoln never took the Declaration to be more than an aspirational goal of THE UNITED STATES.

and you notice that Gerrib is claiming the Declaration is a "promise" to ALL men, everywhere, not simply bounded by the strictures of US Law.

however, it's not a good idea to cite Lincoln's opinion here, given that most of us recognize that he committed Treason to the Constitution innumerable times during his prosecution of the Civil War.

THE BASTARD GERMAN CHILDREN OF NORWAY
Miss Anni was born in Norway in 1945, the bastard spawn of a Nazi soldier and a Norwegian mother. After World War II when it was open season on Germans in Europe, such kids became known as the Tyskerbarnas, AKA “German Children.” Their mothers were labeled “German whores” and often sent off to toil at Norwegian concentration camps. The children were often carted away to mental hospitals, where they were raped, assaulted, and allegedly “used as guinea pigs in drug trials...

Now people such as von Nickel—along with the ABBA songbird and an estimated 12,000 other Tyskerbarnas—are planning to petition the European Court of Human Rights for compensation.
This case is fascinating for the obvious reason that in the current cultural framework, it is all but verboten to depict Germans—especially Nazis—as historical victims.

If you mean under God as determined by God, then, and only then, would you be right, but we both know you wouldn't dare.

Beyond that, as soon as they are born, humans diligently go about diverging, from talent to practiced ability, in strength, in endurance, in intelligence, in discernment, in wisdom and in material wealth. Equality is a mortally retarded delusion.

http://www.dictionary.com/browse/promise?s=t

you're dodging.

a "promise" is a guarantee that something will be or will be done.

Gerrib, the supposed author and wordsmith, claims that the Declaration "promises" the equality of all men.

the mere claim identifies Gerrib as a fucking maroon and an incompetent in the use of the English language. and if you're going to try to back him up on this, you're just as worthless as he is.

the Declaration asserts a proposition. you can agree, disagree or debate the fine points of it at your choice. no Christian can claim that the Declaration is infallible as the Bible warns us against storing up our treasures on Earth and the Declaration is an Earthly document composed by a Deist.

further, it doesn't "promise" a God damn thing to anyone, anywhere. it doesn't even "promise" a future United States.

it merely asserts that the Colonists have a list of wrongs committed by the King and that they no longer intend to recognize his authority.

the juxtaposition with Islam is particlarly amusing. you see, Islam actually does make a promise to all men: that they will all submit to Allah.

this is why Muslims wage Jihad. they are attempting to bring the PROMISE of their prophet to fruition.

one can view the post WW2 adventurism of the US as an attempt to extend the principles of the Declaration to all the world. but that's a purely modern idea ( which comes from the Manifesto ).

but the Declaration itself never made any such assertion. for instance, the Declaration doesn't apply to the Indians, specifically noting that THEY are one of the grievances that the Colonists have against George.

but wait, i though "all men" were equal?

Blogger Migly January 13, 2017 1:03 AM

Bob, you should take advantage of this opportunity to be right for the right reason. Who cares if Gerrib is arguing about a promise. The Declaration of Independence is presenting a definition of human reality. You don't have to promise reality. Reality is something you ignore at your peril.

yes, it presents *A* definition.

definitions can be debated.

and other peoples have other definitions. Marxists ( the human condition of the Proletariat is Wage Slavery, which Slavery will not end until all the Bourgeois are killed ) and Muslims ( the human condition of the Ummah is slavery to Allah ) and Hindus ( the mortal condition of all Life is slavery to the Darmic Wheel of Samsara ) amongst them.

mistaking your *opinion* for Reality is a form of Delusion of Grandeur.

i will also point out that here, in the United States, we have a method for passing Constitutional Law ... which is ( supposed to be ) the Will of the People.

and the Declaration was NEVER put before the People to be tested as to whether or not it should be Law.

Blogger Benjamin Kraft January 13, 2017 4:24 PM

@67. The only one flailing here is you.

The Declarations "truths to be self-evident" proclamation is pure rhetoric, and anyone with a single honest bone in their body knows instantly that it is not a statement of fact or logic, but of emotion.

How do they know it's malarkey? The same way you know that someone's lying to you when they tell you that grass is pink.

Let's take this a step further, "endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights. Among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

That's a good one, hahahaha:

Life: People are murdered all the time, or otherwise die, and on top of that, all men are mortal. "right to life" my ass.

Liberty: Only to those who refuse to be enslaved, the same as at always has been throughout the entirety of history. The cowards in a battle were those who lost, were encircled, and surrendered rather than fighting to the death or attempting to flee at all costs. They were enslaved for the simple reason that they chose slavery over death, or the discomfort required to be free again.

The pursuit of happiness: Well, I guess you could say that that's a right. It's a totally empty set of words from a rational perspective. Utterly meaningless. Literally impossible to stop that without doing something on the order of a lobotomy, which, by the way, also means that while difficult to remove, it also is technically not a "natural right" because it CAN be removed.

The "rights" mentioned in the Declaration are pure fantasies, wishes, arrogant dreams. Privilege, now that's a much better word. Rights are virtually always conditional in practice.

Blogger Ron January 18, 2017 11:23 AM

@benjamin

If you mean equal under the law, you are also wrong, though less obviously. "Ought" to be, sure, but in practice, men are not just, and equality under the law is an illusion.

There is a world of difference when you live under the rule of a man who openly says everyone is fair game, or under the rule of a man who tells you the rules he agrees that everyone must live by. Even if in practice he routinely violates those rules.
