"Now comes the Hour of Action!"

Donald Trump's Inaugural Address. What a phenomenal speech. A wee bit on the civic nationalist side for me, but vastly more aggressive and combative and anti-globalist than I was expecting.

Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans and people of the world, thank you.

(APPLAUSE)

We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people. Together we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years to come.

We will face challenges. We will confront hardships. But we will get the job done. Every four years, we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power.

And we are grateful to President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition. They have been magnificent. Thank you.

(APPLAUSE)

Today's ceremony, however, has very special meaning. Because today, we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another.

But we are transferring power from Washington D.C. and giving it back to you, the people.

For too long, a small group in our nation's capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left. And the factories closed.

The establishment protected itself but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs. And while they celebrated in our nation’s capital,  there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land. That all changes starting right here and right now. Because this moment is your moment. It belongs to you.

(APPLAUSE)

It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America. This is your day. This is your celebration. And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government but whether our government is controlled by the people. January 20th, 2017 will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.

The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.

Everyone is listening to you now. You came by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement, the likes of which the world has never seen before.

At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction -- that a nation exist to serve its citizens. Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighborhoods for their families and good jobs for themselves.

These are just and reasonable demands of righteous people and a righteous public. But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exist. Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities, rusted out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation, an education system flushed with cash but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of all knowledge. And the crime, and the gangs, and the drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential. This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

We are one nation, and their pain is our pain. Their dreams are our dreams, and their success will be our success. We share one heart, one home and one glorious destiny.

The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans. For many decades, we've enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry, subsidized the armies of other countries while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military.

We defended other nation’s borders while refusing to defend our own.

And spent trillions and trillions of dollars overseas while America's infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay.

We've made other countries rich while the wealth, strength, and confidence of our country has dissipated over the horizon. One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores with not even a thought about the millions and millions of American workers that were left behind.

The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed all across the world.

(APPLAUSE)

But that is the past and now we are looking only to the future.

We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital and in every hall of power. From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land. From this day forward, it's going to be only America first -- America first.

(APPLAUSE)

Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our products, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs.

(APPLAUSE)

Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength. I will fight for you with every breath in my body. And I will never, ever let you down.

(APPLAUSE)

America will start winning again, winning like never before.

(APPLAUSE)

We will bring back our jobs. We will bring back our borders. We will bring back our wealth, and we will bring back our dreams. We will build new roads and highways and bridges and airports and tunnels and railways all across our wonderful nation. We will get our people off of welfare and back to work rebuilding our country with American hands and American labor. We will follow two simple rules -- buy American and hire American.

We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world.

But we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first. We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone but rather to let it shine as an example. We will shine for everyone to follow.

(APPLAUSE)

We will reinforce old alliances and form new ones. And unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the earth.

(APPLAUSE)

At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other. When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.

(APPLAUSE)

The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity. We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreement honestly but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.

(APPLAUSE)

There should be no fear. We are protected, and we will always be protected. We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement. And most importantly, we will be protected by God.

(APPLAUSE)

Finally, we must think big and dream even bigger. In America, we understand that a nation is only living as long as it is striving. We will no longer accept politicians who are all talk and no action, constantly complaining but never doing anything about it.

(APPLAUSE)

The time for empty talk is over. Now arrives the hour of action.

(APPLAUSE)

Do not allow anyone to tell you that it cannot be done. No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of America. We will not fail. Our country will thrive and prosper again. We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space to free the earth from the miseries of disease and to harness the energies, a new national proud pride will stir ourselves, something and heal our divisions. Is time to remember that all wisdom -- are total never forget that whether we are black or brown or white, we all believe the same red blood of patriots.

We all enjoyed the same glorious freedoms, and we all salute the same great American flag.

And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the windswept plains of Nebraska, They look up at the same night sky, they build a heart with the same dreams and they are infused with the breath of life by the same Almighty Creator.

Ball and large -- So to all Americans in every city near and far, amount of the mountain, from ocean to ocean, hear these words -- you will never be ignored again.

Your voice, your hopes and your dreams will define our American destiny. Together, And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way. We will make America strong again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And yes, together, thank you. we will make America great again. God bless you. And God bless America. Thank You.

So many microaggressions... I can't even... all this religious talk... SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE! I'm literally shaking at literal Hitler...

Blogger Cecil Henry January 20, 2017 12:27 PM

This is a start but only a start.

There is NOTHING explicitly pro-White and racially responsible about Trump.

He has never mentioned White racial interests.

And it is telling how much anger and hate is directed against Whites that even an indirect, unstated, possibility that some policy may not be explicitly anti-White is taken as 'racism' and White supremacy.

Imagine how much they hate Whites.

Imagine how much you will be hated when you actually DO stand up and ask real questions.

Revealing.

NBC talking head said: "Surprisingly divisive inaugural address!". Get used to it, idiot.

He (or a different one) also complained that Trump insulted every living president and most congressional Republicans. Well, yes. What part of "establishment" did you not understand? And if you do not yet understand you're part of the establishment too ... you're going to be surprised ...

Anonymous Troy Villers January 20, 2017 12:30 PM

Truly one of the worst inaugural speeches ever.

Was exactly like one of his campaign speeches, but without any specifically targeted insults.

Great speech. Sounds like Trump is proposing a New Deal, providing jobs and boosting the economy through massive construction projects.
And it is great to hear a US president describe radical Islam for the threat it is. Obama couldn't even say the words 'radical Islam's...

@3 Cecil Henry
Taking a civic nationalist tack is a good strategic idea right now to seize the moral high ground, since there are still way too many white cucks and progtards.

When nonwhites continue to act like utter pricks -- and they will, since SJWs always double down -- then taking an explicitly white American nationalist attitude should become the default among white Americans.

Working from home and had the inauguration on the tv. I did not expect that! He did not retreat from pointing out the failures that were represented by such people as sat behind him.

He's so good at graciously slamming people. He praises them for their aid through the transition -- in other words, for pointing out where they keep the linens and turning over the keys on schedule -- and not a word of praise for Obama's presidency, which he then proceeds to bash mercilessly without ever mentioning the man by name again. Brutal.

George Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump are at a job interview with God.

God asks Bush:"What do you believe in?" Bush says, “In democracy, a strong economy, freedom of speech, etc.” God says, “Wonderful, come sit by my right.”

God then asks Obama:"What do you believe in?" Obama says, "In democracy, in helping the poor, in equality, etc." God is impressed, inviting Obama to sit by his left side.

Finally he asks Trump, “And you, what do you believe in?” Trump replies, “I believe you are sitting in my chair."

Blogger tz January 20, 2017 1:31 PM

The Black community will have a choice. Trump will restore the bottom rungs to the economic ladder. Detroit fell based on not just mismanagement, but because the blue-collar jobs went to Mexico. It is disingenuous to ask them to "get a job" where there are none - and that was Obama's greatest failing, but as a globalist there was nothing he could do.

Ivanka will push daycare, so there will be jobs for Americans that pay more than welfare. At that point, cut off welfare for anyone who refuses a job.

Anonymous Bobby Farr January 20, 2017 1:31 PM

@3 So what? If he is enacting better policies that are in the interests of the nation, what is the problem? You would rather he froth at the mouth and say words you like even though it dooms him to defeat? His election win basically came from winning more minorities and foreign whites in the Rust Belt.

Frankly I am hoping the left gives him reason to really get medieval on them. A nice rebellion in California by one of the sanctuary cities comes to mind. Lets deport 12~18 million illegals and take back California from the invading hordes.

I also hope he opens the files on Obamas birth certificate. I think it is a fake and all of the folks who enabled that turd should be held responsible.

Obama issued 390 pardons yesterday, but I haven't heard that Hillary/crew were on the list.

They were mostly drug offenders getting long sentences shortened. I'm sure there will be a few more howlers in there as people pore over the list, but no Hillary on the final Thursday afternoon paperwork.

Either there's some truth to the no-love-lost idea, or Obama figures that there's so much to get her on state crimes that there's no point in a presidential pardon, or he discussed it with her and she'd have to accept guilt to receive it which her usual Clintonian brazen-through-accuse-the-accuser techniques won't allow. Or he doesn't want that on his legacy, such as it is, and whatever Trump might indict him for if he opens his fat yap.

It's possible Obama did the pardon this morning and we'll only find out about it in the afternoon, but unlikely considering the way the pardon process works nowadays.

The good sheriff might have shown it, but most people know nothing of the 9 or 10 tell tale signs the birth certificate was a fake. I would like to see this covered so that one one can deny it and all the news organizations that aided and abetted this crime held at least morally responsible for the last 8 years of being governed by a turd.

As an outside observer it seems to me that the entire media was complicit in this, but nothing can be done to them but to shame them. Frankly I would like to see the politicians that had any part in this deception held to whatever legal redress there is for subversion of US law.

As I said I would like to see all of the officials in the last administration who lied to congress such as Lerner, Holder, Hillary, Corizine and the head of the NSA all prosecuted like Scouter Libby was.

Every. Last. One. Let them rot in Leavenworth for a while.

As soon as it was over, I got up from the table I was sitting at, and went straight back to work. From where I was sitting, we had about 4-5 people in the room when he started speaking. It was about 10-15 when I left.

I appreciated the fact that President Trump only referenced himself as the catalyst for action, not the front man. The sooner folks realize that he's not in this for anything more than helping others out, the better off ALL of us will be.

The impression I got from watching President and First Lady Trump both last night and tonight is that

1) Trump is tolerating all the talking because of the moment, but that he'd rather get to work, and
2) Melania is not too thrilled about being First Lady. She is not smiling very much, and it seems likely that she'd rather not her husband and family been put through so much in the past 18 months.

On the other hand, Ivanka seems enthused like her father, and is very, very proud of her Dad.

I was there and wanted to share a couple observations.

First: The security, wow. As someone who grew up in DC and is used to seeing the city in a police-state lock down; I have never seen anything like what I saw today. Fences lining the roads for miles, and mile long lines for people waiting to be searched. I will shamefully admit I was at Obama's 1st inaug (I was 19), and I got dropped off only a block or two from the Washington Monument. No way that was happening today. I took the metro in from Reston, and it was quiet, but outside was another story.

Second: Weak showing from the protesters. There was a stark difference between the level of attractiveness between Trump supporters and their goblin counterparts. I saw some of the ugliest people this side of a western Massachusetts Wal-Mart there to protest the ascension of our God-Emperor.

Third: The most beautiful site of the day (besides Ivanka and Melania) was when I go through security and saw the moving vans at the front door of the White House.

A funny conversation I heard on the Metro yesterday between a liberal progressive (a nice enough one, not a raving lunatic) and a Trump supporter from Florida involved the supporter explaining that the whites in his poor county don't really like blacks because, "they have never met an Obama or George Washington Carver". I guess he thought everything would be fine if all the whites knew Obama personally. I didn't say anything but was laughing on the inside. There was more to it, so maybe I'll write more about it later.

I can say this: I believe our enemy is far weaker and more pathetic than even I realized. Fight back with force, and they will be crushed. They are fat, ugly, and stupid.

This is the single exception to his direction of avoiding foreign involvement. And no I don't think this is neocon. Eradication has a specific meaning.

Which brings up something interesting: many of the same conservatives who cheered Bush at "with us, or with the terrorists," became non-interventionists at noon today. That's not due only to their personal hatred for Trump. It's because they recognize that if he sets out to destroy something, he will try to destroy it, and not in a namby-pamby, nation-building, "kill a few bad apples and the rest will love us for our democracy" way. They also recognize that it won't provide them with opportunities to do favors for their (((friends))).

Personally, when I hear phrases like "from the face of the earth," I automatically classify the statement as rhetoric, just like "open your heart to patriotism" or "no room for prejudice." It's not an action plan; it's a statement of attitude. He doesn't literally mean we're going to build a global war machine massive enough to hunt down every terrorist -- that's what he's been arguing against. He's telling the Muslims we're not screwing around anymore, and if they give us grief, we will hurt them. In some cases, that would take no more investment on our part than staying out of the way while Russia handles it.
