Allegations are enough

This situation is either an argument against immigrants or against women in tech. Regardless, I think we all know that white men are to blame.
Amit Singhal has left his job at Uber as its SVP of engineering because he did not disclose to the car-hailing company that he left Google a year earlier after top executives there informed him of an allegation of sexual harassment from an employee that an internal investigation had found “credible.”

Singhal was asked to resign by Uber CEO Travis Kalanick this morning.

Uber execs found out about the situation after Recode informed them of the chain of events between Singhal and the search giant this week.

Sources at Uber said that the company did extensive background checks of Singhal and that it did not uncover any hint of the circumstances of his departure from Google. Singhal disputed the allegation to Google execs at the time.

In a statement to me, Singhal denied the allegation again, although he did acknowledge the dispute with Google.
Now, it's entirely possible that Singhal is guilty of sexual harassment. But the idea that an allegation deemed "credible" by the witch hunters of human resources is something that needs to be proactively disclosed seems a little crazy, especially in light of the fact that most companies will not even reveal their reasoning for firing someone for fear of being sued.

The reality is that at least 20 percent of the workforce could be fired at any given time for violating the various corporate rules against sexual harassment and fraternization. However, as usual, the SJWs are selectively applying the rules where they find them advantageous and ignoring them wherever they don't.

What was that sob story yesterday? Make $160,000. Pay 45% off the top in taxes. Pay 22.5% for a rental house and really slum it. Take drugs to maximize your productivity while shortening your life. Find yourself incapable of making human relationships and requiring apps and experts to schedule 15 minutes of intercourse for you a week. Live in such constant fear of someone saying something to HR that you must, in the words of the Jeopardy jackass, "mindkill" yourself every day...

What a life! The American Dream!

So more cases where the news makes the news. Makes sense... I've never heard of Recode before. Guess they need to spread news of their existence for more ad revenues.

The heads of many of these companies buy into SJW doctrine so that is unlikely. Peter Thiel might be the only one who considers moving his operations.

They were likely the HR employees themselves. Our company has a bad habit of staffing HR with as many honey pots as possible. A couple employees fell for those traps and thought they could get away with fraternizing with HR. They no longer work here.

If any of you are in medicine, and this may apply to other professions as well, when your partners keep hiring big boobed sexpots to work closely with you, keep your distance. They either want dirt to control you with, or want to get rid of you. And if you are doing the hiring yourself choose postmenopausal women in happy marriages, and have husbands attend any social functions.

All self-reported sex surveys are BS, but the tissue of lies available does suggest that men in the workplace are damned if they do, damned if they don't.

What a minefield. Every office with more than three women in it has a high likelihood that at least one of them is catguano crazy with NPD or BPD. Given how susceptible are most men to appeals to ego, I imagine the vast majority are always vulnerable to a charge of sexual harassment, short of having a video record of every moment in the presence of others. Good luck with that....

If you assume...

1. non-whites actually consider racism to be a virtue
2. feminists actually consider sexism (misandry) to be a virtue

...then what you're seeing today will make perfect sense.

I once had to train a big-titted nutcase for a sales territory. The woman constantly tried to steer any conversation to subjects that were completely out of bounds. I went out of my way to stay as far away as possible, giving her zero opportunity to claim something happened behind closed doors (it was common to train people at hotels, but I refused, picking restaurants and even the public library instead.)

The bitch did go on to a different company and did sue a manager there for sex harassment. I learned later that in her job prior to my firm she also sued her employer for sex harassment.

Blogger Happy LP9 February 28, 2017 10:12 AM

I know I'll get into trouble but this is why some to most women should not be allowed to work around men, women belong at home. Some or women are more apt to henhouse, bitch, complain, won't work, call off sick then get all bitchy the moment someone pays them a wise up word or compliments them, its just weird.

Women, well, some women are not massively productive. I get more done alone than I ever did putting up with the office staff.

In class I have to ask women whom that pay to workout to work harder. Facepalm. They can barely follow a routine and just want to talk, so annoying. And I agape everyone its not hate, just this guy is 99% innocent and the corporate double speak in fear of lawsuits is because women are like an attractive nuisance and juvenile delinquents.

Uber has come under recent fire for several high profile allegations of a culture of sexual harassment and political brinkmanship.

This is simply Uber virtue signalling that they are one with the SJW herd. Please don't destroy us. Singhaul is more likely someone's political opponent and suitable back to stab.

A customer of mine was sued for sex and race harassment. The lunatic bitch tried to drag me into it by claiming that she was forced by her employer to look at pictures I shared at a luncheon of sand sculptures I did while on vacation, sculptures that were of life-sized females.

Yep. SAND. [Proof that reason and rationality are not present in said bitches' heads.]

I'm sure the customer, a private concern, settled for the usual Mercedes 3-series. I recall once hearing that "Middle Class" blacks, in social settings, would compare notes about this settlement or that settlement they had wrung from some hapless bastard and the $50,000 car it bought them.

Just another brick in the wall of things tolerated when resources appear unlimited, but which will be cause for getting a concrete overcoat and dropped in a lake when that perception changes to fear.

Hopefully he has a case to sue both Google (if they confirmed any details) and Uber.

"So more cases where the news makes the news."

The first question that comes to mind when I see a story like this is "What are they really after this guy for?" Anarcho-tyranny enhances media power. If anyone can be portrayed, at any time, as having violated on of the subjective, vague, ever-changing rules of the progressive establishment, and people retain their blind faith in the "objective" media, then publicizing these "crimes" is a potent threat for anyone.

Of course, there's no way of knowing what the real motives are, and since this man is not part of the historic American nation, I don't care.

Head Nurse: the investigation cleared NAM of being an angel of death
NAM: If there was anything I could do to have less codes I would do it
BGS: What about not taking more than an hour of smoke breaks a shift, you ask for me to cover 5+ 15min per day

@25 I always managed to find them. Having a military base nearby helps. Guys who work civilian jobs there marry a lot of women in health care. Knowing your employee's husband carries when off base is a great deterrent, too.

The only "man bites dog" portion of this story is that it wasn't a white guy in trouble. Usually, the vibrant types get a pass on this type of stuff (see Sweden). Perhaps that is Amit's ace up his sleeve? Just accuse Google and Uber of racism. That should take care of everything. Blaming Trump could help too!

@30 JAG
I suspect that Singhal was Gamma enough to get hit with the sexual harassment allegations. Many if not most Indian men are Gammas. White men have to be above Delta to be more or less safe, unless the broad they're dealing with is a total nutcase and/or it actually was his fault.

Coming from the Objectivist community, this story frustrates me to no end. The Uber founder is an Oist, and one of several issues that caused me to essentially abandon that community is its embrace of feminism. It's practically converged at this point.

I loved Uber and have used it since its founding as a black car service, but feminism is cancer. The only thing to do with cancer is cut it out. Bye, Uber.

"Credible" = "Well, it COULD happen."

"internal investigation" = Maoist witch hunt or arrogantly half-assed cover-up

One of the Narratives of tech and Silicon Valley was "the revenge of the nerd", and like all Narratives, it's bullshit. The slickee boys made the money, women came in and ruined everything, and the real gamma nerds are doing all of the work and still not getting laid.

Say "Hello" to a woman who doesn't want to have sex with you.

Fail to say "Hello" to a woman who is trying to get your attention for sex.

I'd put that at a bit more than 20%.

If Google leaked to Uber ANY information as to why this guy was fired they are looking at a very strong lawsuit.

It is ILLEGAL for a former employer to tell a new employer ANYTHING about why you left and can only give you Dates of Employment without written permission from you.

The catch is, it is ILLEGAL for the hiring company to ask or even suggest you provide them with the written permission, because a denial would imply your guilt. The law is VERY clear on this.

The only possible exception, as far as I know because I never dealt with higher ups, would be if the employee was an executive or a manager with a provision in their employment contract. But even then, I doubt it.
