Racist homophobia at the Oscars

That's my theory. It is so obvious that the aging white liberals of Hollywood were uncomfortable giving the Best Picture award to a movie about black homosexuals, which is why they tried to hijack the award and give it to white people.

Let the Days of Rage begin! #OscarsSoWhite

Well, that's about as close I can get to pretending to care about Hollywood's annual exercise in patting itself on the back. It's always nice to see people whose idea of political discourse and repartee is to incessantly call their intellectual superiors stupid publicly demonstrate their incompetence, though.

Repleat with midget sized models of StoneHenge and drummers who spontaneously combust the film capture the real rock world like no other film. Fast forward to the Oscars and know that you and Drudge both are believers in OMENS and portents. This just in!

Late last night, after the Oscars, it was discovered that Hillary Clinton actually won the presidential election!

Proof of this was confirmed when Obama, at a early morning press conference, produce a 5" by 7" rectangular white card which read as follows:

And the Office of President of the United States goes to: Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Obama held the card up to the camera for all to see.

Donald Trump soon tweeted an image of the card and commented, "Well who can argue with that?", before congratulating Hillary Clinton on her historic win.

Celebratory riots have been scheduled to take place in all major cities across the country.

In other news, another 5" by 7" stock card has been discovered calling into question the results of Brittan's vote to exit the European Union, more on that as the story develops.

Blogger SteelPalm February 27, 2017 6:41 AM

The picture of the white (and possibly a few Jewish) creators of La La Land being overtaken on the stage by the all-black creators of Moonlight was a perfect analogue for what has happened to the Democratic Party. (Of which Hollywood is just a branch of)

Also, idiot Nate Silver of 538 was hilariously wrong yet again. I understand the 2016 election was murky for many, especially with all the voter fraud.

But the 2017 Oscars were easy to predict, simply recalling the 2nd rule of SJWs; they always double down. Shame that Nate Silver didn't read your book, Vox!

Blogger Cataline Sergius February 27, 2017 6:52 AM

La La Land was not the best picture of of 2016. The best picture of 2016 was The Witch and no I'm not joking, it actually was. But because it was horror it wasn't ever in the running.

However La La Land was a very good old fashioned kind of Hollywood movie, it was also engaging love story with a couple of actors with fantastic on screen chemistry whose on screen romance the entire audience could really get behind...because they were both White.

La La Land was never in the running either.

Blogger Silly But True February 27, 2017 6:57 AM

Hollywood can do a lot worse than crank out more Jackie Chan movies. Along with the inevitable big budget "magical white saves China" movies starring leftists, but even the leftists have enough common sense to not watch those either.

Blogger Cataline Sergius February 27, 2017 6:58 AM

But let's not lose sight of the big picture here. The thing that is really the most important to keep sight of. The best event of the evening.

Emma Watson was spitting blood and pulling her hair out in hanks when Emma Stone won for best actress. And she knew it was going to happen all night long. That makes everything fine.

Anonymous Looking Glass February 27, 2017 6:58 AM

@8 Cheap rights. Modern Media has too many people involved and they need at least decent quality ideas, so "good ideas for cheap" is why every pre-1920s work keeps getting remade.

As for the Oscars, "Moonlight" being about a black homosexual was almost never mentioned until this weekend. I kept seeing reviews crop up, but they quite amazingly all skipped over that detail. While it's easy to understand why they would, it would have made the expected Best Movie win a little more straight forward.

The important detail is possibly the best movie this past year is something called "Sing Street", but that's about a bunch of British teens in the 1980s. It was intentionally buried by the studio, right down to them preventing anyone from hosting viewings to raise the profile. It's pretty clear there was some meeting among the big Hollywood Producers to bury anything "normal white" and raise up anything "black" this year after the SJWs turned on the Oscars.

Granted, La La Land came out really good, so Hollywood couldn't stop itself from praising how awesome they all are. It's sort of sad that most of these awards are predictable by what Identity Group needs a "win" and who Hollywood is pushing these days. "Million Dollar Baby" about a female Boxer that gets paralyzed then asks to be euthanized won all of the top awards in 2004. I wonder what they were pushing that year?

It also wouldn't be something to even bother to talk about if Hollywood didn't spend all that time acting self-important.

@14 There some beef between Watson & Stone? I would think it would have been Natalie Portman that would be pissed off about Stone winning, since she went so out of her way to do a "narrative setting" piece that was supposed to go along with Hillary's presidential victory.

I also kind of feel sad that I know that they make these movies to go along with events they expect in the future, to turn narratives to their whim. Oy.

Watson was originally cast in the part and became the world's biggest prima donna bitch over it. She has almost no credits that don't involve Harry Potter but she was making tons of demands. When she suddenly required that all of the rehearsals be held in London she got fired from La La Land. She was okay with it first because she immediately landed Beauty and the Beast but she went into a long screaming tirade at her mangers and agents when Stone became the favorite to win on Oscar night.

The last movie I saw in the theater was "Fireproof" (yes, I know). The last movie my husband saw was when he took our younger son to see "War Horse" - so at least 5 years ago. I literally do not even know the names or faces of most of the purported "stars." While I don't watch t.v., my husband does incessantly - and "The Young Pope" actually caught my eye/attention for a bit. I had no idea who Jude Law was, however. Are there really that many drones who hang on these people's every pronouncement? Who buys all the tickets? Why are Whites still supporting Hollyweird?

The A-Team remake was the last thing I saw in theaters. I like movies in theory, but it's hard to find anything that isn't incredibly stupid that also isn't scary. (My tolerance for scary movies is weenie level.)

And now for no particular reason I'm thinking of Second Hand Lions - a movie about a young man with a messed up mom who learns about masculinity from his two uncles. It's hard to imagine something like that being made today.

Blogger Hobbes February 27, 2017 9:09 AM

Agree with you about Moonlight. I didn't even know until a few days ago that it had a gay angle, because nothing I read mentioned that.

I had assumed "Fences" would be the "shocking" upset winner, because they needed to give the award to a Black People movie, and "Fences" was a quality piece of work by a well-respected and popular actor.

I assumed they'd be too embarrassed by "Hidden Figures" and its North Korean level of propaganda to give it the award; just being nominated was the award. An actual win would have forced mainstream reporters to go back and ask too many awkward questions about the film's factual basis.

Hidden Figures would have been a funny win, esp. if Rodney Harrison had to cover the lame backstory. "I didn't even know she was mixed."

Fences wasn't going to win. It would have been the "safe" winner about 10 years ago, but Denzel Washington refused to portray a crack addicted whore who performed honest-to-goodness on-screen fellatio on a hobo while he wore a dress. It's simple, Jack. If you want to win, never go half-crack whore.

So, obviously trans crack-baby had to win. It was the only one that bothered to try this year.

I actually wish I had watched it. The onscreen reparations sound hilarious.

In 1939 movies were mostly in a grainy black and white, only a handful in color, with what we would consider pitiful soundtracks. In order to see them you had to go sit on a hard wooden seat in a darkened auditorium full of strangers.

However, the movies, themselves, were great. Just a short and incomplete list from 1939: Gone With the Wind, Goodbye Mr. Chips, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Ninotchka, Stagecoach, Wizard of Oz, Dark Victory, Wuthering Heights.

Today, in the privacy of your own home, it is possible to kick back in a recliner, and watch your movie in 4K HD with a 7.2 sound system, and if you have a projector, on a screen bigger than that of a 60's art house.

However, the movies themselves are pretty much instantly forgettable schlock, leaving you regretting that you just burned two hours of your life that you are never going to get back.

As for the Oscars, "Moonlight" being about a black homosexual was almost never mentioned until this weekend

Racist homophobes changed the title, its based on McCraney’s play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blew. They probably thought that title would turn away bigots.

Well a parallel to Hollywood will eventually need to be built, since Hollyweird is so SJW infiltrated and the Chinese aren't going to fix it, at least not the way Western Civilization needs it. Heck, Trump should find a way to force Hollywood out of Cali and move it to the Chinese mainland.

And whatever this parallel institution that replaces media entertainment in the West is, it will need to come from the Alt-Right. Don't count on the Churchians, with their horrible movie garbage, to provide the alternative. We need something good, something exciting, something that explains the truth without constantly hitting you over the head with Churchian calls of "see, you need Jesus and everything will be okay" which is easily self refuting because martyrs.

Once the Pulp revolution happens, and the Castalia revolution happens, I want to see stories like those in the movies and tv again.

I'd also like entertainment to not just get better, but to also take a backseat in our culture too. The amount of time and money people spend on it, is sad. Something to ponder during Lent.

That's why I laugh at old farts of my generation who hail the 70s as a golden era of TV and that we have such a wasteland today. There's just more of it with so many channels to fill, but there's far more gems. FFS, even the damned cartoons these days are better than most of what crawled out of TVs in the 70s.

Sid and Marty Krofft and Hanna Barbera can collectively blow me for the awfulness of my Saturday mornings growing up. :-P I actually advocate for people today to "rape my childhood" as the old geeks whine. If anyone can make something watchable out of that old crap, have at it.

Hacksaw Ridge was outstanding, though there's no way in hell they'd give any sort of acknowledgement to anything remotely Christian, faith related, or made by Mel Gibson. Deepwater Horizon, that was a movie with the sort of people I grew up around. Wasn't completely accurate, but they did a decent job of it.

One of my problem with the Churchian movies is that the Christians involved (in typical cuck-moderate fashion) allow Hollyweird to inject a little bit of poison into each and every story line, as if that's the price you simply must pay to pray.

Example, Heaven is for Real, based on the true story of a kid who dies and visits heaven. Naturally one would be interested in knowing what heaven is like according to the kid. With all the special effects available they could do that spectacularly but the movie version didn't even go there! You don't even get a peek! Instead they insert a totally false story line about the family being persecuted by "narrow minded Christian bigots".

Similar movie, Miracles from Heaven about a kid who falls down a tree, sees Jesus and is cured of a non-curable disease. In this you get a 5 second peek at a colorful garden heaven--sans spiritual beings as to not offend people who would never even see a movie like this. Then later, on cue, they haul out the "narrow-minded Christian bigot" scene where a person at church calls the kid a liar. I know Christians of all types and varieties and not one of them would do any such thing. Christians believe in heaven and miracle cures pretty much by definition.

Long story short, Churchians get fooled into making Anti-Christian movies.

Last time I was in a theater was in 2014 for Godzilla, which wasn't bad at all since it didn't have SJW-bullshit in it...though it did have Bryan Cranston in it but that's not a big deal because...well...the fucker died. He isn't returning for the sequel, so that's a win-win. lol

Since I'm a cord-cutter, I heard through the grapevine that Hollywood is interested in letting people rent 1st-run movies in the comfort of their homes. The range was around $20 to $50 depending on the movie. (Before anyone has a heart attack, remember what we all pay per ticket, plus concessions.) They would never expect an actor to be able to wing something like that. They're, on the whole, not very smart.

Blogger Danby February 27, 2017 3:17 PM

BTW, Faye Dunaway? Really?
Is she even still alive? Or did they just dress up her corpse?

Blogger Lovekraft February 27, 2017 3:19 PM

Why are we even giving these degenerates any respect? We know that a significant portion of them are borderline sociopaths, another significant portion being starblind fame-whores and the rest technicians.

Well, finally Hollywood recognised homosexual blacks in the Oscars, well done!

However, it's extremely disappointing that this Moonlight or whatever movie only ticks two out of three boxes. Gay, tick, coloured, tick, but they're not from outer space.

Gayniggers from Outer Space...... ahead of its time, ahead of its time.

Blogger Franz Lyonheart February 27, 2017 4:37 PM

@75. Well.... On second thoughts.... Maybe Moonlight or Moonshine or whatever qualifies for Near Space., because Moon Soo... graciously perhaps 2.5 out of 3 ticjed boxes. I guess.

Cataline Sergius @12: "However La La Land was a very good old fashioned kind of Hollywood movie, it was also engaging love story with a couple of actors with fantastic on screen chemistry whose on screen romance the entire audience could really get behind...because they were both White.

La La Land was never in the running either.

I always thought that a movie about the Siege of Malta would make a great action movie.

Christian Knights using the heads of Muslim prisoners as cannonballs, now that is something I'd really enjoy seeing on the big screen.

I heard that there was some rampant islamophobia last night at the Oscars as well. Or at least some Islamo-irony. Apparently an award-winning Iranian director boycotted the show-for which diatribes against Trump were voiced-immediately followed by a heartwarming ballad of ISIS' beheading of journalists performed by Sting.

I look at what's playing at theaters and pretty much decide that the only way I'm going to see that garbage is if Tom Servo and C.R.O.W. are sitting with me.

MST3K ruined movies for me - or rather, ruined movies for my wife. I have the best time watching movies, personally - no matter how bad they are, they are entertaining - but this may explain why we've seen 2 movies in the theater in the last 10yrs...

Blogger JWM in SD February 27, 2017 7:39 PM

The last good movie I saw in the theater was John Wick 2. Nothing PC in that. "Three Gun" rules.

Mike and the bots (well, Kevin and Bill) are Making Movies Great Again at Rifftrax, including blockbusters now. Yes, even the Star Wars prequels are now worth watching!

Absolutely yes! It's the material of a mega-hit. Mel Gibson to direct.

how about Black Jack Pershing putting down the Moro rebellion in the Phillipines?

Waterboarding is so American, we invented it to deal with the Moros.

we also upgraded the field service pistol to the Colt 1911 .45 because the stupid fuckers just wouldn't go down for a .38

Who should play the part of the Knight Of Malta?

@82. Never actually joined. For one, I only ever watched 10 minutes or so. The most hilarious nonsense, like the removing the Russian women with lasers, and the Russian men, liberated from feminism, dancing happily. But I never watched the whole half hour in one sitting..... I wouldn't pass their entry exam. Lol.

I'm certainly not criticizing your post, Bob K.

But since you bring up the Moro war in the Philippines....you know, those bastards would wrap themselves, practically called tourniquets, from ankle to neck, so they wouldn't bleed-out"?

.38 just pissed them off . A .45 would drop them.

BTW...who was the first (at least) American General to own a .357 magnum? Which he carried throughout WW2?

Blogger Rory March 01, 2017 2:41 AM

Absolutely. I loved Hacksaw Ridge, and there is strong Christian symbolism in there, as well as explicit statements. Mel Gibson is serious about how his faith healed him.

Left me thinking "this is incredible" and "this is never gonna win anything".

Was surprised it still got some technical wins.

Anonymous Discard March 01, 2017 3:46 AM

94. Clay: George S. Patton. His ivory handled pistols were in .357 Magnum and .45 Long Colt. He went ashore in North Africa with only the six rounds each carried. His extra ammo fell out of a landing craft.

And I think we got waterboarding from the Spanish.
