Trump team under surveillance

House Intelligence Chairman admits domestic spying:
Members of the Donald Trump transition team, possibly including Trump himself, were under U.S. government surveillance following November’s presidential election, House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) told reporters Wednesday.

Nunes said the monitoring appeared to be done legally as a result of what's called "incidental collection," but said he was concerned because it was not related to the FBI’s investigation into Russia’s meddling in the election and was widely disseminated across the intelligence community.

“I have seen intelligence reports that clearly show that the president-elect and his team were, I guess, at least monitored,” Nunes told reporters. “It looks to me like it was all legally collected, but it was essentially a lot of information on the president-elect and his transition team and what they were doing.”

Nunes said he is heading to the White House later Wednesday to brief Trump on what he has learned, which he said came from “sources who thought that we should know it.” He said he was trying to get more information by Friday from the FBI, CIA and NSA.
It's just a matter of time before the three-letter agencies crack and admit that the God-Emperor was right all along. Now, where are those FISA warrants?

More than likely Trump and/or his team was intercepted as they discussed items with russian officials or russian-linked officials who were under surveillance. No one ordered surveillance of Trump. But what is Trump doing and what is his team doing getting so very cosy with the people who attempted to influence the election in his favor?

Name one specific act committed by the Russian government that "meddled" in our election? Only a Democrat or an idiot (but I repeat myself) could confuse busting Hillary Clinton's illegally stored e-mail with attempts "to influence the election" in Trump's favor.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2017/03/20/it-took-a-freshman-gop-congresswoman-to-pull-the-mask-from-fbi-director-comey/

Representative Elise M. Stefanik is a young, freshman republican congresswoman from the Albany New York area. And using a probative questioning timeline, she single-handily pulled the mask from FBI Director James Comey, yet no-one seemed to notice.

Obviously Ms. Stefanik has not been in the swamp long enough to lose her common sense.

In the segment of the questioning below Rep. Stefanik begins by asking director Comey what are the typical protocols, broad standards and procedures for notifying the Director of National Intelligence, the White House and senior congressional leadership (aka the intelligence Gang of Eight), when the FBI has opened a counter-intelligence investigation.

The parseltongue response from Comey is a generalized reply (with uncomfortable body language) that notification of counter-intel investigations are discussed with the White House, and other pertinent officials, on a calendar basis, ie. “quarterly”.

With the statement that such counter-intel notifications happen “generally quarterly”, and against the backdrop that Comey stated in July of 2016 a counter-intel investigation began, Stefanik asks:

…”when did you notify the White House, the DNI and congressional leadership”?

BOOM! Watch an extremely uncomfortable Director James Comey outright LIE… by claiming there was no active DNI -which is entirely false- James Clapper was Obama’s DNI.

Anonymous Conker March 22, 2017 6:06 PM

I've been thinking about something Comey said on Monday pertaining to the FBI not having investigated the DNC server themselves. Instead they relied on a report by the private security firm Crowdstrike which was paid by the DNC and he said they recieved an acceptable copy. Then I realised that I don't any law enforcement agency in the country would allow a copy of a primary source to be used in their investigation without verifying the primary source itself. I get that an informant may copy documents or be a witness, but the police at any level would have to corroborate that with definitive proof themselves or they would be laughed out of court for incompetency. This entire "Russian hacking scandal" is based solely on the Crowdstrike report. The only "evidence" the FBI has brought forward is that "Putin hates Hillary" and "Russia Times is a propaganda outlet!"
I liken it to the police investigating a mob-hit, and instead of the coroner inspecting the body, they take the word of a private investigator who saw the body, said it was a suicide and said he disposed of the body so the police will just have to take his word for it. The whole thing stunk to high heaven from day one but if you would want to bring down the whole house of cards you would attack Comey's investigation from the very start and accuse the DNC of making this whole thing up from the beginning.

Anonymous Andrew E. March 22, 2017 6:12 PM

Conker, see the summary of the whole Russia narrative at Conservative Treehouse:

Summary: Hillary Clinton political operatives manufactured the illusion of a computer connection between Russian entities (financial banks) and the Trump campaign/organization. Those manufactured points of evidence were then passed along to White House entities who used the political intel community (Clapper to Comey) to open an investigation of nothingness – to nowhere. The mere existence of that investigation was then used as the originating point for a series of media intel leaks (the narrative) intended to cloud and damage the Trump campaign/organization. FBI Director James Comey, as head of one of the investigative agencies, became part of that political apparatus. Now, usefulness exhausted and with the media engaged, it’s CYA time all around for the originating entities.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2017/03/20/it-took-a-freshman-gop-congresswoman-to-pull-the-mask-from-fbi-director-comey/

And here is the legwork showing how the Hillary campaign planted the Russian narrative back in June 2016:

http://g-2.space/

So Comey was fed breadcrumbs on Russia planted by Hillary, passed them on to the intel community and the White House and then belatedly realized he was thrust into Watergate 2.0 on steroids and has been trying to cover his ass ever since.

Legally Collected. Incidental collection.

Translation: No "wiretap" of Trump.

Nunes: "“I’ve always said from day one that there wasn’t a physical wiretap of Trump Tower. I still don’t have any evidence of that at all."

Translation: No "wiretap" of Trump

Upshot: There's no news here other than Trump and/or his team was in secret communication with foreign agents that were being surveilled by American security officials. Why was Trump in communication with Russians and their agents?

Reading between the lines, Nunes is saying the data was legally collected ("I guess"), but then the info was passed around like a cheap hooker to whoever they thought could use it against Trump, which would certainly be illegal. Based on what I've read, it would have been illegal to save the info at all, let alone pass it on, if it wasn't directly related to whatever investigation they were pretending to do in the first place.

There hasn't been any question for a while that they surveilled Trump. The only questions are: who ordered it, who did it, who knew about it, and with whom did they share the information: Clinton HQ, the DNC, useful media outlets, others? And most of all: which of those things can be proven?

Oh really? Here's a news flash for you then, Gumby:

"House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) announced on Wednesday that he had learned that members of President Donald Trump’s transition team had been under surveillance by the Obama administration, that individual names had been “unmasked” by the intelligence community, and that those names had been leaked to the media.

Nunes’s information — which he said he would deliver to the White House later — vindicates the bulk of Trump’s claims earlier this month.

“I believe it was all done legally,” Nunes told a press conference. The question, he said, was why names of those swept up in the surveillance had been leaked. The collection of the intelligence appeared to have been legal, but the leaking may have been illegal.

Most of the activity occurred during the transition period from November to January. Furthermore, Nunes said, he did not know whether phone calls — including phone calls involving Trump — were among the communications captured.

Wednesday’s revelations by Rep. Nunes confirm earlier media reports of surveillance of Trump aides and associates, with the added twist that the revelations were unrelated to investigations of Russian ties to the Trump campaign."

I heard a caller on Jones say that Trump should declare martial law and round up the offenders. Yes indeedy, the FEMA camps await... and the dummies of the idiocracy (or paid provocateurs)are clamoring for 'em already. I didn't expect to hear that until the SNAP cards massively malfunctioned.

And.. how do you know for certain Trump has been vindicated? The reaction on Faux News is "we don't know yet."

It is really starting to look like Comey reopening the investigation due to Anthony Weiner's laptop was nothing more than a grab and consolidation of evidence.

We don't care. Get it?

Right now if Trump arrested the 9th circuit court for treason or some trumped up charge and told the rest of the courts he as interpreting the law for the next 4 years, we would not care, as long as he deported 12 million illegals. We want victory, nothing less.

If he sets up camps to ensure the illegals go home, we will be fine with that.

If he wants to work with the Russians to defeat the hordes from Africa and the middle east who are a threat to western civilization, we are fine with that. In fact I am good with Trump and Putin declaring a crusade to liberate Constantinople from the Turk, and look forward to both of them and their respective armies meeting at the Hagia Sophia church as they drive the Turk out of Europe. Make the Dardanelles Greek orthodox again!

Now you may say this might involve the president using powers he does not have...Nice troll, you had no such concerns when your side was breaking laws.

We...Don't ...Care. We want victory at any cost to the left, not noble defeat.

Where did we learn this?

From the left. From what we have seen now that pretenses have been dropped. Fromm illegal activity by Obama, Clinton and the courts who have usurped their office with their last rulings on immigration. The mask is off and frankly you little turds are the enemy of all that is right.

Lastly think of your worst elements in the left coalition. We will emulate them and return every bit of distain and contempt with interest. So enjoy your trolling. All it does is remind us that we will win, that we must win, and that our enemy, while we wish you no harm, deserve no quarter in this civil war.

I mean, surely ol' Barack Hussein, a main who spied on allies (tapped Merkel's phone, extensive surveillance of various candidates in the 2012 French elections, leaders of Brazil and Mexico), a sycophantic media (AP, WaPo, NYT, CBS), and Congress, would be too ethical to spy on a political opponent, right?

"More than likely Trump and/or his team was intercepted as they discussed items with russian officials or russian-linked officials who were under surveillance."

Per Rep. King on O'Reilly last night, it seems that most of the intercepted discussions involved no one on Team Trump, but merely contained mentions of Trump or one of his team members. All such discussions are merely hearsay in regard to Team Trump's involvement.

"No one ordered surveillance of Trump."

Virtually all our electronic communications are intercepted. It seems that someone on Team Obama ordered intercepted communcations to be sifted for mention of a member of Team Trump. Sounds functionally equivalent to a surveillance order to me.

"But what is Trump doing and what is his team doing getting so very cosy with the people who attempted to influence the election in his favor?"

Sounds like Team Trump was doing nothing with the Russians, but that the Russians were watching the news and talking about Trump. It is absurd to think the Russians tried to influence the election, because all their intelligence pointed to Clinton pulling off an overwhelming win. Russia does not invest in impossibilities. Besides, a Clinton win would ensure a continued weakening America, which is generally in Russia's geopolitical interests.
