The return of the Darkstream

Discussed a few things tonight on the Darkstream, including Rapid Puppies, Alt-Hero, and, of course, the current foreign policy situation.

Cool, I'll check it out. I'm on wireless inet and can barely view videos on periscope's site. Fortunately there's a guy on youtube who has been reuploading them.

"Be patient, be positive, and speak the truth." That would make for a great t-shirt.

Blogger Durandel Almiras April 09, 2017 9:26 PM

Awesome! Glad to have a new one to tune into.

Blogger LES April 09, 2017 9:41 PM

I'm being patient but I can't help but notice the inconsistency of successfully appointing a constitutionalist jurist to the Supreme Court and then illegally and unconstitutionally attacking a military base of a foreign sovereign country that is no threat to the US.
I expect president Trump to not put himself above the law.

Started watching and then the misses reminded me we were going to the beach. About 100 yards from the hotel. I guess we are on vacation in Hawaii. Getting sunburned enough as is. Will listen in playback mode.

The missile strike was not illegal.

Hell, it wasn't even particularly effective...on the surface.

That was a good Darkstream, especially on tbe possibilities in the Pacific.

What law would that be, politically activist judge made law? I would hope he would do that, the sooner the better.

Rapid Puppies, Rabid Puppies on speed

Blogger Deadmau5 Patton April 09, 2017 10:09 PM

What sort of vulnerabilities, if any, might the US be exposed to by shifting our naval presence more toward the pacific at this time? And I guess I'd also be asking what the less obvious benefits would be.

Thank you. I LOVE the way you look at and explain things. It never occurred to me to look to see where the battle-groups are (and I'm ex-Navy!), and it confirms my feeling that this was a message to (deal with?) China about NK.

I didn't catch your Darkstream live this evening, or I would have added my voice to the: you do an excellent job on the Darkstreams! I prefer your substance in depth to Cerno's ramblings; but then, I don't watch many of his scopes -- I would throw him into the media-whore basket with Spencer; albeit I agree about Spencer being "old-media." I approve of Spencer's creation of essentially 'meet-up/action' groups around the country; but I see him as a little too close to the "let's be a think tank and write white papers urging White people to awaken." Still, both serve the Alt Right in their own ways.

Blogger Shane Sullivan April 09, 2017 10:20 PM

This was a very sobering periscope. Thank you, Vox.

I love the "chill" message. Sorely needed after the last couple of days of flapping in the VP comments (much of which, it seems to me, was coming from non-regulars). I'm feeling the same way about the G-E: he's going to make mistakes, and he's not Alt-Right, but he's not only the best thing we've have going in 30 years or more, he's the only game in town.

Blogger losemoneyfast April 09, 2017 10:43 PM

"Frankly I am personally appalled with myself" hahahaha

And yet our St. Breivik shirts are still less appalling than their Che Guevara shirts.

Anonymous VFM #6306 April 09, 2017 10:46 PM

That is exactly what I thought: direct counterstrike against the Che shirt, but funny.

Blogger Robert Divinity April 09, 2017 10:52 PM

Well done, and generally agreed. The wildcard is what soured China on Kim the Third. It is hard to think of another time China has seemed almost rattled. Has Japan put everyone on notice it will go nuclear if the situation isn't resolved? Just throwing that out there and it's likely something else, but something serious has happened and as you pointed out China, Russia and the United States likely are on the same page. Secretary Tillerson will be talking to Foreign Secretary Labarov this week about something considerably more significant than dead Islamist babies.

Time for Mai Tais at the Trump International Waikiki.

Blogger Carl Burgeson April 09, 2017 11:45 PM

Will you share a link? I have the same problems with periscope.

Anonymous Leonidas April 09, 2017 11:54 PM

You need to see what you can do about the volume. I had the volume cranked up to max and could still barely hear you.

Otherwise, a good watch.

Anonymous DissidentRight April 10, 2017 12:27 AM

Thanks Vox!

Anonymous Tanjil Bren April 10, 2017 12:37 AM

"You need to see what you can do about the volume."

Don't mention the volume!

Blogger Resident Moron™ April 10, 2017 12:39 AM

Just FYI, there's a site called scopedownload that allows you to download periscope vids.

For those having trouble with bandwidth

Blogger Deplorable April 10, 2017 1:24 AM

And there's a youtube user "Judeo Christ" who uploads darkstreams and some Cernovich periscopes.
The volume is enhanced. Not that it matters, of course.

Blogger Nate73 April 10, 2017 1:41 AM

^Yes that's the channel I was referring to. It's great for users without stable connections because periscope is spotty for some reason. Youtube has also been deleting videos in the wake of the ad boycott, esp for copyright or "offense". Hopefully that channel won't get swept up in the fake news hysteria that almost killed Joerg's channel:

Dang, I always miss these live events.

Blogger S. Thermite April 10, 2017 2:27 AM

You need to see what you can do about the volume

Volume is always fine if I plug-in headphones. The wisdom and intellect Vox shares free-of-charge is worth the minor technological inconvenience, especially during a noteworthy Darkstream like this one...those who have ears to hear, Hear hear!

Blogger Shimshon April 10, 2017 2:49 AM

Regarding Syria. What Turkey did when shooting down the Russian plane can be considered a much more belligerent act than what Trump just ordered. That didn't escalate. There is even less reason for this incident to escalate, assuming Trump doesn't follow up. Can we even be sure that anyone died in the recent attack? Have any names been released? Pictures? Given the pictures I've seen, I can't see how anyone could've been killed.

Blogger Mocheirge April 10, 2017 3:04 AM

I wouldn't be surprised if the White Helmets arranged a "welcoming party" (consisting of recently deceased children) for the missiles.

Shimshon wrote:Given the pictures I've seen, I can't see how anyone could've been killed.

Dude was sitting in the cockpit of that one BBQ'd aircraft making jet plane noises and living his fighter jock dream when it got BTFU.

Only plausible explanation.

Blogger Shimshon April 10, 2017 3:13 AM

@28 I know, right?

Anonymous CaptainPiratical April 10, 2017 4:33 AM

"Why do you block people?"

"Because I don't like when people ask stupid questions." - Blocked

I laughed so hard at this. Good to see you back Vox.

Anonymous Looking Glass April 10, 2017 8:45 AM

@28 CoolHand

One of the mid-day in Syria reports claimed 4 children were killed in the Airstrike. We didn't hit any housing facilities, so why would kids be on an air base at 4 am?

I know it's a propaganda war, but that one made me laugh.

Looking Glass wrote:We didn't hit any housing facilities, so why would kids be on an air base at 4 am?

Given the ages reported for some of the "children refugees" that only means they are not yet married, or something. They could be 26 and still be in school.

Anonymous Avalanche April 10, 2017 10:24 AM

Yes, headphones fix any volume problems.

And hell, you can pick up a pretty great set for around $15 to $25 on Amazon. I recommend these -- I can hear Vox perfectly with them: "Able Planet Wired Headset for Universal - Retail Packaging" -- depending on the color insert you chose!

(I also have an older set of Able Planet noise cancelling headphones -- fantastic on planes and in cars with open windows.... good company, NOT expensive! Not associated, jut happy with them!)

Anonymous Looking Glass April 10, 2017 10:30 AM

Should call the sub-section of Dark Lord Designs, "Agro Clothing".

Anonymous Avalanche April 10, 2017 10:32 AM

@30 "One of the mid-day in Syria reports claimed 4 children were killed in the Airstrike. We didn't hit any housing facilities, so why would kids be on an air base at 4 am?"

Group sleep-over! Like in the zoo or museum! Ice cream and games and scaaaary tours in the dark!

Blogger Martin April 11, 2017 8:17 PM

I have a best case scenario for these air strikes. But speaking about it would ruin it.

Blogger Martin April 11, 2017 8:36 PM

Like, one thing that is guaranteed now is that there will be more gas attacks. And that the neocons will feel triumphant.
