America endorses punching journos

Or at least reporters from the Guardian.
Republican Greg Gianforte has won the special election for Montana's sole U.S. House seat a day after being charged with assaulting a reporter. Gianforte defeated Democrat Rob Quist on Thursday to replace Ryan Zinke, who is now President Donald Trump's interior secretary.

Gianforte was elected despite being charged with misdemeanor assault on Wednesday after witnesses said he grabbed a reporter for the Guardian newspaper and slammed him to the ground. The multimillionaire technology entrepreneur is an enthusiastic Trump backer, and his victory was seen as an endorsement of Trump.
He must have won pretty handily. None of the AP results report the actual numbers. But all is not well in journo-punching land.
Newly elected Republican congressman Greg Gianforte apologized to the reporter he's charged with assaulting.

After being declared the winner in the U.S. House race in Montana, Gianforte told supporters Thursday night that he should not have treated Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs the way he did.

Gianforte told the crowd: "I should not have responded the way I did and for that I am sorry."
Uh oh.... Seriously, everyone to the right of the corpse of Che Guevara really, really, needs to read SJWAL.  It is unsurprising, though, how what was previously claimed to be "a barometer on Trump" is suddenly "NOT SO MUCH A TRUMP TEST" now that the Republican won.

Breitbart reported the numbers: Despite all those factors in Democrats’ favor, it seemed that Gianforte’s win was a comfortable one. When The Associated Press called the race, Gianforte was leading Quist by approximately seven points.

Considering some chatter I saw that Gianforte was known to have a bit of a short temper, it also has to be assumed that the Guardian reporter wasn't just being a jerk. It was an intentional Op to throw the election one way. Though I would be mindful that the "reporter" probably isn't smart enough to know if he was being played into doing that.

Still, it's good he knocked the reporter away, but we've got some work to do to get those on the Right to gloat about doing it.

There was obviously nothing handy to impale him with. Not to worry, Trump can do it later, it's not illegal when the President does it.

Journalists are less worthy than actors or harlots who at least give their clients something of value for their money.

As I understand it, journalists are to give us the facts as they can obtain them. At one point they may even have done so. But in our dark days they give few facts and many lies, insinuations, and innuendos instead.

Worse yet, they harass and harangue the decent and make life a living hell for the innocent in order to sell their newspapers and collect their blood money.

In my book, ritually body-slamming a journalist should be required of all politicians before they take office as representatives of the body politic.

If only to assure their constituents that they will govern for the good of the people and will not shrink in the face of the falsehoods and venom these craven liars spew.

Anonymous trev006 May 26, 2017 5:09 AM

If SJWs had any influence at all in Montana, I would be surprised. Gianforte is probably concerned with "proper" etiquette for Congress.

I look forward to the new era! All Americans, within Congress and without, should get behind the idea of beating journalists. Get in the game, guys.

It was a practical win.. there is significant early voting ..close to 50% of the votes were weeks old.. so the assault did not have a lot of room for effect... but it will cost him .. the conviction will stop him from getting a clearance so he cant sit on any commitees that require that and my guess 25k to 50k plus attorney and court fees.

When stories like this creep up, the market shifts wildly because liberals make knee jerk decisions before understanding facts like ~60% of the votes were already cast before this incident. They also apply their beltway logic to things that happen in the middle of America and are continually confident they will be right. As a result I have been making money hand over fist so far.

Ignore for a moment the impropriety of addressing a class of students as though they were Democratic Party operatives. Focus instead on the statement itself. The call “to define what kind of country we are” is an ominous agenda for America. Compared to other nations, America is absolutely unique in one regard: it is a country defined in its creation. Normally, nations have been formed on the basis of common origins, ethnicities, and languages – a modern form of tribalism. In contrast, America was created by peoples of diverse origins and ethnicities and on principles that were universal. The American union was forged in a set of founding documents that insisted on the equality of citizens – regardless of origins. The idea that creates the identity “American” is summarized in America’s official motto: e pluribus unum – out of many, one.

I'm counting quite a few.

That article from April 28 is a classic journalistic smear. Probably every factual assertion made by Jacobs on it is true, but he arranges then in a way to make Strong John look as bad as possible to his readers. The quotes from democrats were probably solicited - "Mr Party Chair, we've found that your opponent has investments in Russia. Did you have any comment?"

There's no libel and no reason for a retraction. Fox wouldn't write a story on "foreign newspaper smears Montana republican", it would be more newsworthy of they didn't. And nobody whose vote might actually be swayed reads Breitbart.

So beating up the journalist is Peru much the only recourse.

The Democrats obviously had to scramble to come up with a candidate on fairly short notice, and he was not a real strong one. Can't tell if this event was deliberate baiting by the Guardian journo-list or if he acts that way all the time.

As usual in the swamp stream media how the election is reported entirely depends on the results. If the D had won it would have been a clear repudiation of Trump. Since the R won it's just a minor special election in a mostly rural and low population state, nothing to see.

Right? Now if we could get Republicans to understand. Most of them are so busy apologizing and running left every time a Trump proof does them good... Perhaps Republicans need some tuning too.

@45 Rocklea
"Lefty Punching your way into the White house."

Trial by combat
---

I used to do that to anklebiters at the offfice. They would be going on and on, and I would say "I challenge you to mortal kombat".

They freak out a minute, sweat a while, then say, "Oh you mean the video game!"

But I didn't answer lol

The best part is the spin.
redefining a humiliating loss as a win is cucky.
Or the we won the honor.
No, you lost. Only liberals and cucks think otherwise.
We are winning based on their need to redefine.

Montana's musical mangina lost.
Here out west we know the difference between a bull and a steer.
Even a steer that calls itself Caitlyn or Chelsea Cow.

"But I identify as a cow".
"you're still udderly a steer".
"I'm triggered! Where's my safe space?"
"See that corral"

It is said of ham and eggs the chickens are involved but the pigs are committed. Same with "cows" and a cheeseburger.

Caitlyn "cow" is in a better place. My stomach.
