Deep State-owned

It's going to become increasingly obvious which Republican politicians have skeletons in their closet and who is owned by the Deep State over the next few weeks:
Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) on Wednesday said reports that President Trump pressed ousted FBI Director James Comey to end an investigation would merit impeachment if true, becoming the first Republican lawmaker to broach the idea.

The New York Times on Tuesday reported that Trump tried to pressure Comey to stop investigating former national security adviser Michael Flynn, citing a memo written by Comey.

Asked by The Hill if the details in the memo would merit impeachment if they're true, Amash replied: "Yes."

"But everybody gets a fair trial in this country," Amash added as he left a House GOP conference meeting.

Asked by another reporter whether he trusted Comey's word or Trump's, Amash said: "I think it's pretty clear I have more confidence in Director Comey."
Very well. Let's see Comey release his memos, then compare them to the audio recordings. It's time for the God-Emperor to start putting the bully into the Bully Pulpit.

Amash is eastern Orthodox, his family is from Lebanon and Syria. So easy for the Derp state to run him.

Comey's firing really has flustered and even scared them. It is not difficult to guess why. The next FBI director must have no fear of pizza.

I don't think they realize (in their beltway bubble) how deeply unpopular they are and how bigly popular Trump is among rank and file Americans.

If they did, they wouldn't be opposing him so openly. It shows they think they have the upper hand.

Amash is a hard-line libertarian in a 'safe' district.

His focus on economics and limited gov blinds him to the cultural juggernaut that will wipe out not only any vestige libertarianism, but everything else he holds dear. His head is still in the Ron Paul era.

I've chatted with the guy. I would label it as willful blindness before malice. He believes in abstract 'principles' before actually winning.

That doesn't mean he is not an enemy.

The thesis floated at /pol/ is that this is basically the answer to the first broadside salvo of the God Emperor against the Israel lobby. From an interview with FBI Anon:

http://victuruslibertas.com/2017/05/readers-and-viewers-of-vl-ask-fbi-anon-their-own-questions/

TOM asked: The news is exploding that Trump shared intel with Russians from an “ally” in the middle east and the ally is very upset. This is in regards to an Isis plot regarding airplanes and laptops.

A: The “ally” not being named is Israel, and they are mad as hell at Trump. Israel is furious because they got caught with their pants down. Lets get to the point. Isis was created by Israel and the US to weaken Iran and topple Assad. Billions in profits at stake. Israel has developed the technology to remote control airlines via laptops. A false flag was being prepared. Trump discussed it with Russian officials, exposing the “plot” McMaster pitched, and now all hell has broken loose. Trump did a wonderful thing in my opinion. We do not need anymore Isis false flags.

With everybody being so skittish about the "ally" that Trump "burned", ((their)) involvement was evident. The MUST IMPEACH DRUMPF brigade is all hot and bothered as usual, but even the lefties know damn well that Israel is no ally. Hell, saw a hardcore leftie say "Israel sold US secrets to Russia in exchange for safe passage for Russian Jews to get them out of Russia, so fuck them".

Yes he should fire everyone across the entire administration appointed between '08 and '16 in one breathtaking fell swoop and insist on everyone else taking a lie detector test under oath.

It's somewhat amazing to me that 99% of all the complaints about Trump have more to do with the "way" he does things rather than the thins he does themselves. Get over it, SJWs. Trump is redefining "presidential". You might as well accept it.

I think Trump has an opportunity to rally Christendom in a way no other president before him has ever had. Whatever happens, it's going to be bigly interesting, exciting and consequential...this I can tell you.

He keeps harping on this Russian Election interference which is also utter nonsense. They can't even tell us the HOW they supposedly interfered.
Now they want to trick Trump for letting Russia in on intelligence to fight ISIS. I remember when the left loved Russia...oh yeah, that's when they were still communists.
OK rant over.

Amash the Ass has more confidence in a prog than his own leader?

Also, even if Comey's memos aren't lies, these tards never bother trying to understand that saying "I hope you'll be able to end the investigation" is not "pressing to end the investigation", but expressing a wish.

In addition, it's now obvious to me that these memos were the reason for Trump's tweet the other day to Comey about "tapes". But as we all know, SJWs Always Double Down.

The more likely explanation is that Amash is a second generation immigrant. His daddy showed up in America in the 1950s from the Middle East.

Neither Justin Amash or his dad have any historical, genetic, or emotional ties to the American nation.

It certainly seems that 2d and 3d generation immigrants cause a butt-load of problems for America.

@15 Grayman

I think McVeigh was the result of an Operation that went off the rails. They had contacts in Indonesia for bomb making. There's always been a lot more going on there than the official story will let on. (Also, why did they beat a man to death, in a prison, that they misidentified?)

At this point, I'm of the firm opinion that everything about "Right-win Militias" was the cleanup operation for the all of the CIA's drug running in the 70s & 80s, but the Political people didn't know why they were being pushed to do certain things. Which is why we ended up with Waco & Ruby Ridge.

This generation won't throw up a McVeigh. The really dangerous stuff is all in Information & Connections. "Hack the Planet" is probably more appropriate.

I could hardly contain my jealous and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Why won't the God-Emperor take notice of all of my amazing qualities? I helped Hillary get away with all kinds of crimes. If he would just embrace me with his strong arms I would do anything for him. What did that worthless Flynn ever do for him? I suppose I better Gin up some more rumors about Russian collusion so he will finally turn to me for help. Sometimes life as an FBI director is so hard.

My husband and I just got back from a cruise, and talked with lots of people from all walks of life...well, lots of white people. The support for Trump was unanimous, as was the absolute disgust with the media. It didn't matter if they were good old boys, suburbanites, military, lower middle class, well-off retirees...every white person we spoke to said the same thing, and they were PISSED.

Also - the amount of race realism being openly and frankly discussed (after a few drinks) was shocking. People are saying things out loud, to virtual strangers, that they NEVER would have talked about in public 10 years ago.

Two other constants - the feeling that shit is about to get real; and the need to arm up, and quickly.

Trump is confrontational when it will get him something. Being confrontational just because someone insulted you or w/e isn't always the best idea, especially when there are bigger things at stake. It's very apparent that Trump is always thinking about how he can steer events towards his goals. Less than 2 months ago a lot of Trump voters were grumbling and some ready to defect over his Syrian missile strike - what happened to that? Oh yeah, it wasn't some seat-of-the-pants impulsive action: it was planned to get Trump what he wanted.

Just remember every time Trump does or says something that makes you question him: he is shrewd and is EXCELLENT at executing his plan.

Actually, that's an interesting point. According to something I read on Sundance's blog, Chaffetz was going to run for the Senate and replace Orrin Hatch, but Trump intervened, stating he wanted Hatch to stay. But I guess Chaffetz decided to drop out entirely rather than re-run for his House seat. And Trump's intervention may have chafed at Chaffetz.

@11 "I'm in the Midwest and I don't know a single person who isn't on Trump's side in all of this. I keep thinking maybe it's just my social circle who are all ardent Trump supporters"

Oh! I hadn't thought of that!

I've made up postcards (handed some out for people to send at the NRA convention -- they were a hit!) that are addressed to the God Emperor (at the family side of the White House, not the biz side) -- the main field of the front showing one of his massive rallies. On the bottom corners are: Pepe sayin' "feels good, man"; the "Republican lion" icon (with Trump 2020). The top has three small pix: at right, the Trump bumper sticker with MAGA; in the top center, Trump smiling and clapping next to (left-corner) text: "You and what army?" "This one will do" Across the whole postcard bottom it has: "We approve of what you're doing."

On the back, I put text: Remember: WE are your army! Just a note to let you know we approve of what you're doing! Two lines to fill in: Name and zip code. (They track mail by zip code.) and a B&W cartoon showing a huge (angry) eagle, marked "Trump voters" leaning down and looking very closely / threateningly at a tiny elephant in a suit, marked GOP, who is saying: "OK, we hear you."

New idea for a postcard -- this one not to go to the Prez, but to the NeverTrumpers and the wishy-washy useless GOPes. I wanted to make sure Trump wasn't feeling too "isolated" in his new digs (yeah, I'm a girl; I still support Trump!) -- but it seems to me laying a 'gentle threat' on all the legislators wouldn't go amiss!

It's pretty cheap to get them made up at VistaPrint (or your local Kinkos). I think I spent ~$30 for 500 cards. (Full color front, B&W back.)

You could address them (in print) for your own state critters. Or leave the address block empty for (broader 'use') mailing to lots of "reps" if you want to spread them around further.

And to think they're trying to run with a lie that anyone can see through: secondhand evidence, possibly fake, stating that Trump "hoping" Comey would "be able to" end the investigation, and making that equal to Trump "interfering" in the investigation or "pressuring" Comey. IOW, calling an apple an orange and "hoping" (heh) that everyone will believe them.

Trump scares the leftards because his administration is doing what he said he would do. Deportations up 38% nationwide. Dozens of MS-13 members arrested in 40+ raids in LA.

Attempts to cross the southern border are way down. The Coast Guard reports zero Cubans for weeks at a time. Colonizers are heading home much to the annoyance of Mexico and Central American states. Bids are being evaluated for wall segments, wall segments will be tested starting this summer near San Diego. All Trump commitments.

Trump also promised to drain the swamp. The leftards truly fear that, and Comey's firing triggered that fear.

2. Also at same blog, yet another case of the revolution eating its own - Chinese churchians attack White-hating White pastor as racist {revolution eats its own}. Conclusion of article:
" . . . no matter how deeply you hate white people, no matter how much you fawn over Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement, no matter how much sexual perversion you celebrate in your family in the name of Diversity, if you deviate in any way from the program, you’re going to be hunted down and made an example of.

"why is Trump daring to make a foreign trip -- to Israel and Saudi Arabia?"

Headline is he's working on a NATO for the Middle East. That could presumably keep the US out of there. He's been working on the ME thing since the election. It cuts the legs out from the neocons and their ME meddling. He's already met with leaders of Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, SA, etc. Imagine him relatively solving that problem. That and opening up domestic drilling gets us the hell out of there. And if Europe wants to fight Putin and Assad over the pipelines that's their problem.

Most of the Swamp Creatures have clearly shown that they're not anywhere close to as smart as they think they are. Trump has offered them peace & prosperity, on the agreement they stop screwing over the country & abide by the rules. They've clearly chosen otherwise, assuming they can either beat or outlast Trump.

They don't realize if they resist the Draining too much, much of the country has little problem hanging their way through the entire Swamp. And if someone dumps some actually juicy information to Wikileaks, all Heaven is going to break out.

@83 Elocutioner

Trump has co-opted the process they were using to drum up a War in the ME. He plans to solve Syria, the Muslim Invasion, Save Europe and destroy the NeoCons. All in a specific set of actions. And deal with Kim the Younger as well. Trump didn't run to fluff his ego; he became President to be greater than George Washington. And, at this point, I ain't betting against Trump.

Trump's one problem is always going to be that you can't completely predict what the UniParty is going to latch onto. The Travel Ban was a weird one. They spent 24 hours normalizing a full Muslim Ban. That's going to go badly when Trump wins that one in court.

Also, the Syria Pipeline, by all available public information, appears to come *after* the situation in Syria kicked up. Considering Qatar has been amazingly sidelined in all ME discussions, I think we can firmly put the blame on them for starting it. Pipeline came later to get other backers/opportunity arouse. Obama lead everything from behind, so the USA probably got involved after things got started.

Anonymous Looking Glass May 17, 2017 7:07 PM

Sudden shill deployment, hmm...

Sundance @ CTH thinks this is a solid move. Dems on the Hill still want an "independent commission". Meuller is about the only choice available since the person will need Top-level Security Clearance.

"Special Counsel" isn't the full power that Ken Starr got. This is a conflict of interest dodge & Mueller will have higher level access than the AG department. That's probably what this is about. We'll see if Mueller actually asks some questions, which is going to make the Dems squirm the instant he asks the blatantly obvious one.

Anonymous johnc May 17, 2017 7:09 PM

Some of you people are very, very naive.

You don't understand that Trump's opposition wants him gone and will not stop until the deed is done.

And this is not something they've cooked up in the past week. They've been working on it since his election and anyone who's been paying attention knows that.

Remember when Assange said that his sources indicate that Hillary was working with IC officials to get Pence sworn in by impeaching Trump?

How can you not see a clear pattern here? They've been calling for a special prosecutor forever and believe me, they're not doing a song and dance.

More or less naive than the people who said Trump's run for candidacy wasn't serious and he was just trying to promote his brand. more or less naive than the people who said Trump would never get the delegates, more or less naive than the people who said Trump was over after the media manufactured scandal after scandal and said again and again like Commie propaganda that he was finished, more or less naive than the people who said he couldn't beat Hillary in the election, more or less naive than the people who said the electoral college would never elect him, ore or less naive than the people who said congress would never appoint him, or more or less naive than the people who said he couldn't solve the North Korea problem?

I live in Amash's district, I have spoken with him many times, I know several of his family members.

He has never liked or supported Trump. He never supported Obama or GW Bush either, and he has never been a GOP insider. He doesn't have any skeletons in his closet. He is a purist constitutionalist, to the point of being an idealogue.

With Amash, it's all about the constitution. For him, I think the constitution may indeed be a suicide pact. While perhaps not good for the country, you at least have to admire the way he sticks to his principles.

Better than Donald "the wall will be built!" Trump these days!

Look, Trump is not Nixon. Nixon cared about his legacy. Trump cares about fixing stuff. Let not the question be, is Trump worthy of America; let the question be, is America worthy of Trump?

"Special Counsel" isn't the full power that Ken Starr got. This is a conflict of interest dodge & Mueller will have higher level access than the AG department.

The cries for a special prosecutor will begin as soon as the House and Senate circuses begin. There will be a special prosecutor. What little legitimacy the United States government had is about to vanish.

What "American nation"? I can understand and agree if you are talking about the pan-European White Nation, but please. A couple of centuries does not make a nation with "genetic ties" to the land.

My family came over from Germany in the 1870s and I would never claim to be a "genetic American". There is no such thing, aside from the Indians I guess.

does Amash agree that, as the Oath Keepers figured out, Secession is a Constitutional Right of the States, protected by the 10th Amendment?

does Amash understand that universal suffrage was despised by the Founders and that 'muh Democracy' is NOT a principle to be found in the Constitution?

otherwise, he's just a Cuck.

Anonymous Looking Glass May 17, 2017 7:33 PM

@160 Robert Divinity

Can't. The law sunset and it would require writing a new one (something no one in Congress is capable of doing) and would need Trump's signature. They could over-ride with a veto, but I would highly recommend GOP members never set foot back in their districts if they knew what was good for them.

@158 George

Anonymous George May 17, 2017 7:37 PM

Amash sees his oath of office as his principle, to uphold the constitution. That is who he is, and he feels his district can either take him or leave him.

If you want a Trump-like representative in MI-3, you'll have to run someone against him.

Anonymous George May 17, 2017 7:39 PM

I voted for Trump and I visit this blog for interest, not to shill. I'm just telling you like it is, and how Amash sees himself. I didn't say I agree, but I'm sorry you're so fragile that you see a shill behind every keyboard.

Nope. Principled treachery, sheesh. I utterly condemn that sad sack of a man. His action was an "all about ME" moment that aided and abetted the LEFT, the anti-Constitutional partisans. There is nothing but dishonor and shame in what he has done.

With soldiers like this, we are guaranteed to lose the war.

I doubt that's a winning strategy.

Acknowledge the plain fact that Trump's opposition has taken a stranglehold of his own admin and his enemies are working him over both outside and in.

It wasn't CNN that appointed a Special Counsel. It wasn't Cuck Schumer. It was Trump's "very own" Rosenstein. And who the hell recommended Rosenstein to be Deputy AG?

And now there are reports that the DOJ is recommending Joe Liebermann to be FBI Director. What other conclusion can be drawn?

"Well that wraps it up for Trump."

Anybody got a count on how many times this statement has been said and been proven false yet?

Impossible to count, because some people never stopped saying it; they just kept shifting to new reasons for it from one day to the next.

People should remember why we called him the Xanatos candidate a year ago. If the "Deep State" can remove him on false pretenses and get away with it, then they always could and were going to as soon as a president challenged them. So if that happens, we'll have lost nothing; we'll just have proven what was already lost. More people than ever will understand that elections are irrelevant and anyone wishing to challenge the establishment will have to do it in other ways.

That's why there was nothing to lose by supporting him, and still isn't. The Deep State has Ultimate Power or it doesn't. Either way, we learn something useful, and move ahead.

You said it all right there. We're well aware that for many NeverTrumpers, it's all about the fact that they don't LIKE Donald Trump. That's what it's been about from the beginning -- not their vaunted Constitution, nor conservatism, nor any sort of principles, but the fact that they think he's not the respectable sort of quality individual who should lead their party. They would have followed Jeb!, even if they didn't always agree with him, but The Donald? He's Rodney Dangerfield playing rock music on their Bushwood, and they'd rather see the whole thing blown up with dynamite than let him run things.

F these guys.

Review the performance history of special prosecutions. It is far from over.

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/03/special-prosecutors-political-history-235610

Such probes often come back to sting those who set them in motion. Think Whitewater under President Bill Clinton, or the Valerie Plame affair under President George W. Bush.

Blogger Matthew May 17, 2017 8:54 PM

Call Amash's office tomorrow and speak courteously to the person who answers. Stick to a simple message, no histrionics. This is inappropriate behavior for a Republican, and you are now inclined to support a primary challenger.

That makes it an act of insubordination; but it is also an fait accompli: Rosenstein and Mueller should be fired; but that would make more "reasons" for impeachment.

Me too. Dick Morris has a good analysis of what the polling companies are doing - they take the easy, cheap (and politically useful?) course where they poll "Adults" - this includes many DEm-inclined individuals who never vote- nearly 1/2 of these "Adults" never vote and so they are irrelevant and distorting poll results to the disadvantage of Trump.
