Hey Vox, did you ever see Iron Maiden or Metallica back in the 80s?

Blogger Michael Maier July 08, 2017 9:42 PM

Vox, you are one odd duck.

@Ben: Iron Maiden. Sporthalle, Stuttgart, Germany. 11/21/1986.

What a ridiculously amazing 1st concert for a teenager to attend.

Saw Maiden a couple of times. They still have it.

Michael, did you see the scorpions back in the 80's? They looked liked they had so much fun.

Kind of reminds me of The Darkness and Dethklok

Hey Vox, do you listen to any Devin Townsend? He's not on the same level as the three above, but pretty awesome on his own.

So that's the Leda that was Yu-to in Galneryus?

What the hell are Kamis? Dragonforce clones? I love me some shredding but Tony Macalpine was composing far more intricate stuff with Brad Gillis, David Lynch and Neal Schoen back in 87' on "Maximum Security". They did the technical shit but there was definitely more feel in their playing. These "Kamis" are decades behind.

Thank you. Whoa.

Sons of Ribberty ... meme magic with concessions given to those of the Rising Sun.

I assume you mean George Lynch, LOL. I own a hot-rodded JCM800 that he used on tour.

All players have ups and downs did you see the video of them jamming on Stratus or LED boots? They can drop down into that Groove and feel Zone
The guy on the left with the black guitar did some Satriani ish stuff for a bar or two they are young they are Japanese they got time to mature

I find them quite fun and entertaining to watch they are having fun dammit and playing some damn good stuff

While I agree with the sentiment, I also wonder if taste is a racial thing. These guys are in the top tier of skill but their sense of melody feels a bit off. Then again, it's very difficult to shred something that also sounds beautiful- I think Dragonforce is highly underrated for this reason.

Insane shred w/ feel: Derek Sherinian's BLACK UTOPIA. You can probably find it all on YouTube. You're welcome.

@9 Kamis are the Japanese gods. I swear I think Vox is a closet Polytheist.

Come on out and join the rest of us Vox! ^.^

Got to see Maiden last year. Still outstanding.

Blogger andy July 09, 2017 7:21 PM

Fucking hell! that's impressive,if I`d only heard it and not seen it I would have sworn blind that it was Iron maiden.

Blogger Eskyman July 10, 2017 2:56 AM

That was amazing! Vocalist was really good too, does anyone know who it is?

Loved it when after they'd all shredded in their individual ways, they effortlessly synched to take it out to the end, clear and sweet. Whoa! Impressive as hell!
