Fake gun control converts

The media is attempting to build a false narrative around people being magically converted to gun control by the recent events in Las Vegas.
The lead guitarist of a country music band playing Route 91 Harvest festival, where a gunman murdered 58 people on Sunday night, has said the horrific experience of the attack has changed his views on gun laws in America.

“I’ve been a proponent of the [second] amendment my entire life,” Caleb Keeter posted on Twitter. “Until the events of last night. I cannot express how wrong I was.”

In the chaotic hours after the attack, which began around 10pm, the members of the Josh Abbott Band were eventually able to post a message on social media, saying that the band and crew were safe. “I’ll never unhear those gunshots; and our band [and] crew will never forget how that moment made them feel,” singer Josh Abbott wrote on Twitter. “Our hearts are with all the victims.”

But Keeter went further, describing the deadliest shooting in modern US history as a revelation. He said that members of the band’s crew have concealed handgun licenses, and legal firearms on the bus.

“They were useless,” he said. “We couldn’t touch them for fear police might think that we were part of the massacre and shoot us. A small group (or one man) laid waste to a city with dedicated, fearless police officers desperately trying to help, because of access to an insane amount of firepower. Enough is enough.”

The feeling, he wrote, “was enough for me to realize that this is completely and totally out of hand. We need gun control RIGHT. NOW,” he added. “My biggest regret is that I stubbornly didn’t realize it until my brothers on the road and myself were threatened by it.”
There are two significant problems here. First of all, the band's concealed handguns weren't useless for fear of the police, but because the shooter was 300 YARDS AWAY. Knives, fists, and other close-range weapons were also useless, but then, very few criminal engagements take place at a range of 300+ yards. As for the "dedicated, fearless police officers" who took 72 minutes to not engage a single shooter, the less said the better.

Second, Caleb Keeter is a liar, as proved by his own archived tweets. He always was a gun control advocate, he simply happened to be dubious about the federal government's ability to do so effectively.

Peak trust on our way to NO TRUST.

How long did it take before the Official Narrative came under question in part because of the "convenient" attempt to use it for political purposes? The first step from Trust to Skepticism is asking the question, "Cui bono?" From there, it's no step at all to suspect that every Narrative is a LIE.

I call this the Sandy Hook Principle.

My reaction to Keeter's statement was: he has a hero complex.

Anyone that carries thinks of scenarios all the time. The realistic view is one that thinks survival, defense of self or loved ones. It is about the chance to defend. Offense is only an option for some circumstances.

I am not surprised at those old tweets. Keeler does not imply he carries a handgun himself.

Absolutely nothing. Antifa, BLM, and just blacks in general tend to readily form violent mobs. One of the reasons I've always supported gun ownership is the IMO reasonable assumption that without firearms, attacks on white people by packs of feral groids would immediately skyrocket.

Two Gab posts of note.

First, my response to Matthew Montaya's repost of Joe Biden's twitter rant saying "Congress & the WH should act now to save lives. There no excuse for inaction.": He's right. To prevent tragedies such as this in the future, everyone should be required to carry a sidearm and keep a rifle in their vehicle. Just in case.

Second, a simple fact pointed out by William Wallow: "The news keeps reporting this as the worst mass murder in American history! Wrong again, Waco, Texas was the worst by far! 76 men, women and children murdered by the U.S Govt."

Switzerland, Iceland, and Canada have a higher density of gun ownership than America and a much lower gun crime rate.

Why?

The reason is that America is cursed with a much higher percentage of mestizos and, worse, blacks.
What a mean spirited thing to bring up!. In other words, the brutal ugly truth.

The ignorant and emotionally backwards Richard Dawkins ridiculed southern White Americans. The reality is that the Left's mentally enslaved low IQ racial groups are overwhelmingly responsible for America's gun crime problem as well as endless other ugly statistics.

Want to reduce gun violence?
Here's a policy change that would do infinitely more to reduce gun violence than any gun control measure.

Repeal and replace our current immigration policies with an extremely restrictive and quality orientated policy similar to Japan's.

This would greatly improve the labor value and job prospects of Americans. Particularly important, it would make blacks and mestizos wealthier and busier. It would also result in a significantly less crowded nation which would reduce urban stress.

What are the odds the Republicans will assert the powerful and logical connection between reducing 3rd world immigration with lowering gun crime?

When seconds count, the police are minutes away. If you are still engaged when the police show up, you have fucked up.

Side arms were useless in a situation like this, and they were right to not to use them to try to engage someone from 12X-50X the range that handguns are normally used. Half a dozen people in the world could have made that shot with a handgun.

Even with rifles, engaging a target firing from an elevated position at 300+ yards is not a trivial task. Its fair to say that it is beyond the ability of the average shooter.

This is the sort of once in a dozen lifetimes scenario that nightmares are made of. There is no way to effectively defend against it

What this false flag clearly was all about... (courtesy of ChuckBaldwinLive.com)

"Pro-gun legislation currently before Congress, including a bill legalizing silencers and a bill legalizing national concealed carry reciprocity, are now dead. And pro-gun control zealots are out in force pushing for more gun control. This is another common denominator."

The carry-conceal especially considering that an armed-public populace would essentially make these false-flags impossible to carry out. A carrying bellhop or patron could have popped the assailants (regardless of being FBI patsies or hired paramilitary) literally 100x faster than any police response could have.

Don't be shocked if Trump attempts to "make a deal" with the democrats over stripping the States' rights to issue cc permits. This would essentially ban firearms in America be default. I'd bet all the tea in China that it's coming soon.

Also, "Killary Klinton" comes out only minutes (maybe seconds) after the attack criticizing the legislation on social media. That's another telltale sign considering that it probably wasn't even her making the tweet as she would be either too sick and/or drugged-up and/or drunk to even know what was going on.

"Bro Country Fan: OMG GUNS SO SCAREY SAVE ME"

I have found my best go to is that although I would like to be able to prevent mass killings, we need to have available and plentiful guns and ammo supply to retain the right to murder government employees should the need arise. Then I shift the argument to it would be easier to just change the 1st amendment and prevent journalists and media from reporting mass shootings for 96 hours after they happen then to get rid of the ~1 billion guns in the United States. That's much more European. If we are being practical, it'll be a much easier fix to remove the fame incentive from these whack-jobs then undoing 250 years of gun-culture. The 1st amendment is important, but nothing is more important than saving lives and if journalists and the media need to sacrifice a little, then so be it.

In most mass shooting cases, it ended not when the guy was shot and went down in a hail of bullets by heroic cops, but when confrontation happened or was just imminent. Wait for the end of a magazine, breech (the door should have already been unlocked by security), rush. If you can't breech because of heavy barricade that's a different issue and you fall back, but there is no evidence of that so far.

The largest mass murders in US history were committed with gasoline (Happy Land) or bombs (Bath School.) Not guns, fire and explosives.

I diverge from the notion that the USA can attribute mass killings mostly to NAM's. Why are these things occurring with greater regularity?

Our society is sick. Everywhere we look we see people who exist in Plenitude yet obvious steep in existential agony. Instead of welcoming the miracle of a baby, potential new people are snuffed out as "a woman's right to choose convenience."

Moral laws exist as guideposts that say, "Venture beyond here and you enter a place of self-destruction, of vice, of living at the whim of your basest impulses."

Our entire society is based on cutting down those signs, celebrating those who indulge their basest impulses and destroying anyone who suggests this is batguano crazy.

So we have a society filled with people who regard others' lives as a child regards a fly whose wings he pulls off. We have near a 100 million people on psychotropic drugs from Prozac to Risperdol. We have people who are told all their problems are SOMEONE ELSE'S FAULT.

Yes, we are surrounded by increasing chaos. Small wonder? No.

This is indeed the functional problem with that line of thinking. It is especially concerning to me considering I had two relatives (a hundred years ago or more, but still) who were committed to asylums for the rest of their lives. One of them because she got pregnant and was forced (by her parents) to abort and lost her mind, and the other because one of his family's bulls gored his horse to death, and he flew into a rage, went and got the family rifle and shot the bull dead.

Yeah, people could (and still can) be committed, against their will, to mental institutions for just about anything.

Whatever method they choose to execute their plan, they practice ad nauseum. They go to the location they want to attack. Once there, they watch. They want to memorize the patterns of the people at the location. They want to see who is there and where they go. What is normal for this area? Yes, killers profile too. They need those patterns so they can predict the behavior of their targets. When they can anticipate how a victim will react, they can cut off escape routes.

In addition, it appears that there were other windows that were missing on the same side as the two that are shown broken out on the 32nd floor. However, the media is only showing a cropped photo of that side with only the broken windows on that floor in the picture.

Has anyone pursued the alleged video with the muzzle flashes coming from the 4th floor? Is it legit and just being ignored?

Even with rifles, engaging a target firing from an elevated position at 300+ yards is not a trivial task. Its fair to say that it is beyond the ability of the average shooter.

True. Unless your name is Jerry Miculek, forget it.

I wouldn't put too much stock in videos of muzzle flashes. Your average video camera is running around 30 frames per second (fps), this is far, far too slow to capture muzzle flashes with any reliability. It does help that the shooter was using an automatic weapon, this increases the odds that flash would correspond to a frame. It also helps that the event happened at night, were perhaps the cameras auto-adjusted themselves to longer frame integration times. But usually to capture muzzle flashes reliably at all you need a camera with a very high frame rate. I've worked on this problem. You need a couple orders of magnitude higher than 30 fps for any kind of reliable data on muzzle flashes.

I'm a bit of an odd bird when it comes to terrorism...I firmly believe that mass murder merely gets people angry. Annoyance is more persuasive. I won't go into details of just how annoying a well-placed low-body-count attack could be.

Anonymous Napoleon 12pdr October 03, 2017 12:51 PM

I'll add that any idea of returning fire with a pistol is more than a bit over the top. At 300 yards plus, it would be an extraordinarily long shot. Could Elmer Keith have made it? Probably. Could I make it? Probably, with a bit of practice and some luck (no boast, I shoot 50m pistol events regularly). Could Dan Duffer make it? He'd do well to hit the hotel...forget putting rounds into a specific room. This was a job for a rifle.

One of our big problems right now is that the opposite is true. It's almost impossible to get people committed unless they commit a very violent crime.

one other point to consider with regards to gun control:

If the official story is correct, this guy planned this out in great detail. He was planning mass murder for some reason and made no plans to escape. This was not a spur of the moment plan, this was the result of a devious mind over many weeks, at the least.

Assume for the moment you can magically take away his guns.

His intent is not gone. What does he have? He has 2 planes. Assuming the cheap and every present Cessna 172, he has 1049 lbs. of useful weight, a extra few hundred if he is willing to push the engine on take off. With his weight and other stuff that is around 800 pounds of weight. with gasoline alone that is around 120 gallons, but he had access to tannerite or ammonium-nitrate. Quite a flying bomb.

So what does he do with this 11 Meter wingspan plane? crash it into the crowd on a low approach dive. between the raw impact of 2500 plus pounds of plane and the resulting full explosion, I would hazard a guess you might have had a few hundred people killed. Not a pilot, but from speaking to those that were, when you are diving on a location every this is moving but the object you will collide with, it would not have been difficult for a pilot to hit a crowd is a sahllow or steep dive.

So bad as this incident was, and I do not mean to downplay it or the horror involved, even a perfect gun control scheme would not have halted him, in fact the causalities might have been far worse if he used the aircraft at his dispose.

You'll note that (((fake news))) is pushing (((Bloomberg's))) agenda here about the shooter having too many guns, access to high-capacity magazines, bump-fire, etc., etc. I suppose we should issue a daily reminder: journalist + rope + tree. Some assembly required. How long will it take for the Recuckickin' pizza boys and their communist D-jersey allies to come up with some more gun control?? Betcha (((Bloomberg))) and (((Soros))) already have the laws written so they can hold come fake debates and pass them.

Anonymous Gen. Kong October 03, 2017 2:03 PM

I am still not sure whether I swallow the official story at this point. There are too many aspects of it that do not compute, your two observations included.

Given that the officials behind the story and the (((fake news))) have a decades-long record of lying about basically everything, one would be extremely foolish to ever take the word of known liars as being true about anything at all. The only bit of truth they will ever tell would be that which supports their narrative. You can often tell more about the nature of a given event by their proposed actions in response to it.

There's another detail that seems to be in the process of being shoved down the memory hole: the woman who came into the adjacent bar to scream warnings of how 'they are going to kill everybody and have us surrounded' (or something very close to it). The initial (((fake news))) theory, that this was Paddock's girlfriend, turns out to be false, as said GF was located by authorities in Tokyo and is now 'no longer a person of interest' - itself a curiosity as Paddock may have been using her ID to buy things and purchase hotel rooms, etc. The woman who issued the frantic warning 1/2 before shooting commenced is therefore unknown. If it was Paddock's GF, how is it that she was in Tokyo so soon?? This is why the folks at /pol need to be on this.

Anonymous MJimmy October 03, 2017 2:31 PM

Anon from infinitychan /pol/:

Steve Paddock was 100% an ANTIFA radical & multiple ANTIFA were shooting.

...

The Hispanics who ran through the crowd warning people 45 minutes beforehand were ANTIFA. As witnesses reported, they were not trying to be helpful, they were arrogant and flippant – one witness said the female was "stroking" people's hair as she walked by, and they were later escorted out.
We can say for sure that Steve told his ANTIFA comrades what he was going to do, and for shits and giggles, a couple of them went through the crowd for a pre-victory lap to gloat and mock. Conversely, we could also theorize that Steve was just a small player in a much bigger ANTIFA plot, and other shooters joined in with him. He may have been the designated "fall guy" or was just the last man out, got unlucky, stuck around too long, or enjoyed it just a little too much.

It's also Steve in those anti-Trump rally videos wearing the "vagina hat". He's wearing a NASA T-shirt, which is a strong link to his previous work background, and a woman appears to say "Steve" to him at the rally in a video.

Once you take that all in, the Geary Danley connection fills the rest of it in. Geary is Marilou's ex, and he is a big-time radical Lefty with knowledge of guns and decades long history of living in Nevada. Surely, Steve and Geary must have known each other, as Geary was in recent contact with Marilou.

All of this is part of "Operation Polar Bear", which is a deep state (re: Jews with so-called Black intellectuals) operation from the remnant of the Obungo presidency to genocide whites, including not only staged mass murders, but the opioid distribution chain to get as MANY whites as possible addicted and/or suicidal to exterminate white people.

MK-Ultra has been co-opted to find crises assassins and crises actors, security teams and employees (including airports, casinos) to "manage" the event. That's how a guy got 500 lbs worth of firearms into a hotel room, past THOUSANDS of cameras in one of the heaviest surveillance states (Casino in Nevada) IN THE WORLD.

Blacks are the worker ants for the Jewish handlers who seek to completely obliterate the white, Christian and Pagan race, in order to fully Semitize the planet...Putin is not going along with it so he has been cast as the villain.

Don't be surprised if there are more of these with a HIGHER body count, including at sports events (getting past black "security" elements, who are completely compromised like the "security" on 911).

Anonymous LibsSuckBalls October 03, 2017 3:28 PM

Black security teams are routinely either asleep or purposely hired for their incompetence so as to carry out such false flags. This was a managed crises, like Viking said, to kill whites, just as sure as zoning laws in urban areas and no go zones.

We've lost our fear, and the other side just doesn't know what to do. Their usual tricks (e.g. emotional blackmail) no longer work as they once did, yet as they "double down" on the usual tactics, the risk of backlash rises.

What are they supposed to do quit their jobs then there would be no Fox and that would be worse. This is where its nice to have the online alternative media for those who like to dig deeper for answers. Police reporting 19 more weapons found at dead suspect’s home. If true, brothers statement that he wasn’t a gun guy, when he was also found with 20-odd in the hotel room, is increasingly dodgy.

OTOH, a kiwi tourist reported seeing multiple shooters whacking random people “point blank in the face”.

Meanwhile, Leah Libresco is an ACTUAL gun control convert:

Then, my colleagues and I at FiveThirtyEight spent three months analyzing all 33,000 lives ended by guns each year in the United States, and I wound up frustrated in a whole new way. We looked at what interventions might have saved those people, and the case for the policies I’d lobbied for crumbled when I examined the evidence. The best ideas left standing were narrowly tailored interventions to protect subtypes of potential victims, not broad attempts to limit the lethality of guns."

Anonymous Gen. Kong October 04, 2017 1:38 PM

Apparently his only actual jobs (all 2 decades or more in past) were government jobs. He worked for USPS, IRS and for a government contractor now part of Lockheed. Where is the casino video of him hauling ten suitcases (so the MSM says: WERE there ten suitcases in the suite with all these alleged guns?) up for a three-day stay?! (Really? And NO ONE noticed? But he was a regular very-high-roller gambler in LV? He'd've been KNOWN!) Has anyone (AT ALL?) interviewed the bellhops? If he HAD 9 or 13 guns in the room, but apparently only used two -- WHY did he bring more? The MSM ACTUALLY published a picture of his dead body -- but no pix of piles and piles of spent cartridges? NO pix of the windows from inside. He built a raised platform for TWO windows -- but no one noticed him hauling in PLYWOOD?! (Bet THAT would not fit into his suit cases!)

Stop hovering over trivial details produced by the orgs that would MOST benefit -- and start asking broader deeper questions!
