Never cross the God-Emperor

From Peter King's increasingly NFL-free MMQB column:
2015: Megyn Kelly, proving to be a tough and formidable moderator in a Republican Primary debate, asks the question of all presidential-debate questions to Donald Trump, about why he has called women he didn’t like “fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals.”

2016: In an interview with Kelly on FOX five months before the election, Trump tells Kelly in another headline-maker that if he does not win in November, “I will consider it to be a total and complete waste of time, energy and money.”

2017: Kelly hosts a segment on the “Today” show about how to dress your dog for Halloween.
Keep that in mind when Robert Mueller announces his long-anticipated indictments today.

UPDATE: The Russian investigation appears to be the nothingest of nothingburgers.

The former chairman of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has been told to surrender to authorities on charges including tax fraud, according to people familiar with the matter.

UPDATE: Or perhaps not. But it's looking more Deep Swampy than anything:

Paul Manafort and Rick Gates were told to surrender to face charges including conspiracy against the United States and conspiracy to launder money. Other charges are being an unregistered agent of a foreign principal, false and misleading Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) statements, false statements, and seven counts of failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts.

Mueller will either overreach, perhaps by going after Trumps's sons, or underwhelm by indicting someone, like Manafort, on charges that have little or nothing to do with Russia collusion.

Whether the opening shot is at His Imperial Majesty's court or at the Globalist Left, it might signal to many of the Alt-Lite that it's time to pick a side and most will join us.

Mueller's target is likely to be someone as close to the GE as he can get. To serve as fodder for media speculation and as a warning the GE to leave the swamp alone. Swamp Thing doesn't like it when you mess with the swamp!

I wouldn't be surprised if Mueller felt pressured to get something into the public sphere after the revelations of his role in the Uranium One scandal. Mueller still thinks Congressional Dems will protect him (they will try, at first) or the Clintons will save him (they can't). Besides, he also thinks the time honored SJW/leftist tactic of accusing your enemies of what you've been doing will insulate you from repercussions when your activities are revealed. SJWAP. But the old playbook doesn't work as well as it used to.

Normal Americans read about hollywod filth and think, quite accurately, "Democrats". Normal Americans then see democrats and cucks opposing Trump and opposing things that normal Americans overwhelmingly support (e.g. The Wall) or protesting flag/anthem/America and think "filth". It's a powerful association and Trump uses it well. With a hefty assist from the degenerate filth opposing him.

Blogger Longtime Lurker October 30, 2017 7:11 AM

@6: Senator Grassley just called for a special prosecutor to investigate the Uranium One deal, and Senator Collins is calling for relevant DNC and Clinton campaign people to testify before Congress (under oath) about the GPS Fusion dossier. And GPS Fusion finally agreed to give the House Intelligence Committee its bank records.

The Mainstream Conservative press (e.g. Wall Street Journal, New York Post, etc.) are calling for Mueller's resignation. If his first indictment is not airtight, he could seriously undercut himself to the point where TGE cold plausibly fire him and replace him with a new prosecutor to go after the Clintons.

To say that Mueller faces a challenge would be an understatement. The DC swamp is not in the stronger position IMHO.

Blogger Stilicho October 30, 2017 7:17 AM

It's past time for Sessions to investigate Mueller, McCabe, Comey, and Rosentein's ties to Russia. Where there's this much projection, there are dirty hands. I'll even state it as rule 3.1: where there is projection, there is liar. Ties it right back to rule 1 SJWAL.

The GE strategy is winning by throwing reality at the faces his opponents, I'm getting the feeling that every week, he goes to a control panel and flicks a knob that reads "level of reality", the knob goes from 0 to infinite.

In order to get access to such control panel full of knobs, more people is involved in the logistics, otherwise the GE would have had an accident at this point.

None of what we are seeing with Hollywood, Dem Corruption, etc. is coincidence, it is all connected and 4D orchestrated.

The GE is not alone.

Trump met with Mueller the day before he was appointed to the position & Trump is the Man that beat the Clintons in a General Election. But, the hilarious bit, since it's Manafort from the 2012-2013 period, that was when he was working with the Podesta group.

The Podestas aren't the key to taking down the Clintons, because taking down the Clintons isn't the key. Johnny is a key part of the USA & European Elites coordination system. He's more important than the Clintons and why he'd have been SoS under Clinton. Expect Trump to destroy the Swamp in a very RICO-style approach to the legalities.

The "Flynn Gambit". A Phrase I coined back when the stuff with Flynn first cropped up. Trump is running the White House by an OpSec Doctrine fairly similar to how they run the important military stuff these days. Trump has a lot of military spooks around himself, and Flynn is one of the best.

Let me repeat that. Trump has a lot of military spooks around himself, and Flynn is one of the best. Everyone keeps quoting Sun Tzu but no one ever wants to really "get" what much of it means. This means almost all objectives are hidden within second & third level analysis. Trump attacked the NFL as a means to defend the interests of most of the country that just wants to watch Football.

Trump is more than willing to let Hillary die of whatever disorder she has without ever bringing charges. That's worse for her (and Bill) than criminal charges. She's left to decay in irrelevance, but keeping the Sword near by makes everyone in the Swamp respond in a fairly predictable manner. When your enemies respond predictably and your objectives are hidden, you have a massive advantage.

As I said, people love to quote Sun Tzu, but they almost never have any idea what it means in practice.

The swamp attacked his first campaign manager, so Trump needed a new one. Manafort ran Dole's campaign, but Trump never seemed too pleased with the results during that period anyway. The Russia stuff started to crop up and that's when Trump removed Manafort and the Bannon + Conway crews came in.

Manafort was probably necessary to deal with the GOPe, since the guy himself is a stalwart there. Though it would be hilarious if Trump ends up using Manafort to take down a bunch of the Swamp networks.

Blogger Longtime Lurker October 30, 2017 9:50 AM

@50: "It may be a nothing burger as far as the truth is concerned, but is this the lever with which to pry a false confession out of Manafort?"

Perhaps. But NBC News reported last week that Mueller is looking into Tony Podesta's connections with Ukraine, because Tony failed to declare his lobbying work on behalf of the government of Ukraine.

Tucker Carlson also reported extensively on this last week: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2017/10/25/tucker_carlson_source_podesta_brothers_and_manafort_not_trump_central_figures_in_mueller_probe.html

If Carlson's source is factual, then the Podesta brothers are facing serious trouble. And in this scenario, Manafort could become the lever that Mueller will use to nail the "pizza brothers" to the proverbial wall. And wishing to avoid said wall, we can only speculate about what the Podestas might tell Mueller to save their sorry asses.

Anonymous Random #57 October 30, 2017 9:52 AM

As VD previously noted, Trump won the election by going through 3 campaign managers. Lewandowski to win the primaries, Manafort kept the GPOe from choosing someone else at the convention, and Kellyanne Conway to win the election.

What I see as key about this is that Manafort didn't do anything special that other swamp dwellers aren't also generally guility of. His real crime was working for Trump, and if Trump can't protect his own people.... It's like how many of us gave up on the GOPe when they didn't protect or even try to protect Tom DeLay from a totally bogus, took 6 grand juries to indict the ham sandwich, and eventually reversed political prosecution.

It's not nothing, it's just nothing on Trump. After all these months of investigation, Mueller found....crimes committed before people were involved with Trump, when they were working with Clinton's closest advisors. The worst thing they found is that globalist plants in the Trump campaign tried to arrange for Trump to meet with Russians -- and got nowhere.

Now SJWs are fantasizing that these guys will "flip" on Trump, but to flip on someone, you have to have evidence of crimes, which they don't. They do have plenty of evidence of crimes by others, though.....

Unfortunately, a judge who gave Obama's campaign a big pile of money for her appointment has sealed the Fusion GPS bank records after all, so we're going to have to wait longer to find out exactly which Democrats paid for that sedition and what else they were paid for. There's a funny SJW always project angle to this. They've all assumed that Trump was a dirty businessman because he was out of NYC. Trump has been planning to be President for decades, so it never crosses their minds that he could run his businesses straight. They've projected their own way of dealing with everything onto Trump.

It never occurred to them that Trump would be prepared for this approach to attack him or that there would be nothing to find in general. Trump's Media Game is so good they'll never understand he's a really good businessman that avoided bad deals as much as possible and likes to spend time making deals.

We have to keep in mind too that the DNC/Deep Swamp projects its power onto its underlings - the indictments/arrests may just be a way to show the DS is "doing something, vote for us!" while also showing that it will crush the dissidents within its own ranks.

We have to remember that the DS is less Machiavelli and more Mao - crush your peasants, worry less about outside enemies.

@71-That reminds me of Bill McNeil on News Radio pretending to be okay with a magazine review calling him "adequate."

"I'm off to astonish the world with more feats of ade-quata-quaticism!"

@77-If you happen to have access to the same bed a guy you don't like slept in, of course you pay prostitutes to urinate on it for your sexual amusement. I mean, the prostitutes and their bladders would be there with you, anyway, because you're not some uptight fuddy-duddy, right?

Why doesn't the DoJ formally investigate the Clinton's? It's clear Bill was bribed $500 for another phony speech. Is Trump just waiting on the right lull in the news cycle?

Patience, Meng, Patience....

It doesn't matter if Podesta goes to jail or flips on Shillery. Trump's goose is cooked. Of course he is going to say he is being unfairly targeted or that the prosecutors are crooks. It's what he does.

> Trump's goose is cooked.

Of course. Trump would never accept an undercooked goose. He'd demand it be taken back and cooked properly.
