Maybe they are boycotting the NFL since kneeling is free speech but RGIII wearing a Jesus shirt is not

Reports coming in that areas which typically broadcast the Steelers are showing the Giants and Seahawks.

The NFL is intentionally destroying itself, I'm telling ya...

A few surprises: The Titans clinging to a 3 pt. lead against the 0-6 Clowns (trying for that perfect season again, I see) and the Panthers falling flat on their face against the teddy Bears. Not to mention the Jags are starting to resemble a decent team - albeit against the Luckless Colts.
I said that Vikes win was crucial, it puts them in 1st place with three tiebreakers (head-to-head, division, conference) over the Packers... Too bad for Rodgers, yadda, yadda.

Field goals aplenty in Minneapolis. At least the Vikings have more than the Ratbirds.

And OAPF, the only switch I saw was Portland, Maine switching to the Giants/Seachickens (via 506sports). In exchange, Bryant, TX gets the Bungles/Steelers over the Chargers/Donkos. Personally, I think those guys just want to see Romo prognosticate (I'm assuming they're Cowgirls fans).

Officiating during the Chiefs vs. Raiders game was hilariously awful. The last play of the game (actually there were several "last plays") reduced to this: "we're going keep doing this over until we get it right!"

@7 SemiSpook37

I've only been watching highlights this year, but a lot of rave reviews for Tony Romo's commentary skills. Though the best one made the rounds as a short video with him telestrating in real-time there was a blitz coming.

Cleveland 9. Tennessee 9. Overtime. What a donnybrook! Only the Browns could try to break a losing streak...with a tie.

When I first saw that box score I thought 8x3? Nope, Murray found the end zone and 113 yrds. seems like they found what they were looking for in the draft. If I hadn't seen the halftime score, the Panthers game would have shocked me.
Same with the Titans, and that was all FGs - but the Clowns managed to keep their perfect record.

Being that the Rez/Kibbutz is in South Carolina, I rarely make it to the end of Thursday, Sunday or Monday night games...

Glad I stayed up for that one.

The upper deck in Heinz Field is mostly empty.

Boycott the National Felons League.

Don't support cop killers and the people who kneel to them.

Even VP football threads are smaller.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

Still not watching this week. Great day to be raking leaves, though.

How many kneelers today?

Anonymous RJ October 22, 2017 6:15 PM

No kneelers, according to the NFL.

Still sitters and fisters, though...

Am only watching college sports, now.

Since I don't follow football much, quick question. I do know they used to blackout local coverage if the stadium didn't sell out. Are they doing that right now or has that been quietly lifted to keep television viewing up?

I stopped watching football after I graduated from University. Even then I felt it had become absurd. I mean, really absurd. At least to me.

Probably still doing that: https://infogalactic.com/info/National_Football_League_television_blackout_policies
Teams sometimes ''cheat'' that by sending people to buy up home game tickets before the 72hr blackout.

We don't call Harrison Smith Harry the Hitman these days for nothing.

The tickets are sold, the fans just aren't bothering to show up.

MN’s FG kicker is a huge asset. Kicked a 57 yd’er like it was nothing, not to even mention his other 18 points.

Blogger Roger G2 October 23, 2017 12:03 PM

Not to even mention his other 15 pts, oops.
