The conservative blacklist in comics

Megan Fox proves that Marvel, DC, and other comics publishers are blacklisting non-SJW artists and writers in her article at PJ Media entitled Prominent Conservative Artists Blacklisted Because of Involvement with Alt*Hero Comics Series:
Conservatives are mocked in comics circles for claiming there is a blacklist in the industry, but the evidence points to work being withheld from writers and artists deemed too right-wing. Lim feels he is now on that list of unemployable deplorables. "I understand the decision, but it IS a blacklist. And these are things other writers and artists should know before taking on work," he said. Lim feels that an artist's job is to do the work he is hired for. "Recently I did two covers for a Bernie supporter for his book. Considering how political SJW Marvel is, practically every drawing I did for the company merchandise is a depiction of a narrative I disagree with. But I don't live in an echo chamber and I carve out a living by taking on work I am asked to do and I fulfill it to the best of my ability. Some people cannot separate the work from the worker. The artist acts as a de facto 'endorser' of the work," Lim explained.

Asked if Lim had ever been attacked by conservatives for drawing Bernie-themed covers, he laughed. "In seven years not once has a conservative contacted me to shame me for my work or blacklist me for the clients that I had." Lim's major work includes Star Wars Adventures, Back to the Future, Street Fighter X G.I. Joe, TMNT and much more. He worked for seven years as a merchandising artist with properties that included Marvel, Lucasfilm, Valve, and Nickelodeon.

PJ Media reached out to Vox Day for his opinion of Lim's blacklisting from Mount Olympus. "The fact that a comics publisher, of any political stripe, would refuse to utilize the work of an accomplished illustrator like Timothy Lim simply because he worked with someone else they don't like is absurd, but more importantly, it is proof that they are less interested in producing quality content than they are in pursuing approval from social justice warriors."

Day released Lim's cover work for Alt★Hero to PJ Media saying, "We love Mr. Lim's work. He absolutely nailed the essence of Dynamique's character with the way he shows her sitting there so calmly despite all the devastation behind her."

And so much for the false Narrative that Avalon writer Chuck Dixon wouldn't speak out about the ludicrous behavior of the SJWs in comics or his involvement with the Alt★Hero campaign:
Chuck Dixon, the Batman writer most known for co-creating the popular villain Bane and the man Bleeding Cool called "the most prolific comic book writer of all time," has also been attacked for signing on with Alt★Hero. PJ Media spoke to Dixon about it. "A couple fellow travelers called me out on Facebook when the news came out that I'd be contributing to the Alt★Hero project. They had the echo chamber on their pages with all the usual assumptions and name calling," he said. A quick search on Twitter showed multiple sources calling Dixon a "Nazi."

"I've experienced a steep drop in assignments since 2000. Primarily from the two largest comics publishers [Marvel and DC Comics]. The reason for this can only be my politics and a change in editorship at those companies," he said.... Dixon has heard disturbing things from his former employers. "The editor-in-chief at one company proudly tells people that I will never work there again as long as he's in charge," he said. "A friend of people high up in both companies suggested that I apologize for my political beliefs in order to get assignments again. That's never going to happen," he promised.
Definitely read the whole thing.

UPDATE: on a not-unrelated note, the reason Freestartr was temporarily down was that it was the target of a DDOS attack, presumably from SJWs attempting to interfere with the Alt★Hero campaign. If they're this desperate to shut it down, perhaps it is worth supporting even if you're not into comics.

Ditto. Here's hoping the success of Alt-Hero results in lots more work for Mr Dixon, Mr Lim, and plenty of other decent comic book artists and writers shut out by the SJWs in Marvel, DC et al.

Chuck Dixon would never do this:

http://6abc.com/food/avalon-considers-banning-ice-cream-trucks-and-vendors/2563023/

AVALON, N.J. (WPVI) -- It's the iconic sound of summer and the one sound that sends kids both little and big running for a sweet treat.

But Avalon is considering banning Mister Softee and friend's bells from ringing on the beach.

The borough's council is considering an ordinance that would ban so called peddlers and hawkers from selling ice cream or other items on the beach and on the streets.

The ordinance also would strip pushcarts of those bells and whistles used to get your attention.

Officials say people are complaining and it disrupts the peace.

Opponents of the ordinance hope the borough decides to leave the summer sounds and nostalgic summer staples alone.

More and more people are becoming red-pilled, and starting to really f-ing hate SJWs. And there are more of us than of them.

When the SJWs doubled down on Chik-Fil-A, people supported them in record numbers.

When SJWs doubled down in the NFL, the NFL is now in a crisis of half empty stadiums, and falling TV ratings.

Just ask SJW Hollywood how those movie ticket sales are going this year. Even Bladerunner flopped when expected to break bank.

How's SJW Marvel doing? Many titles that sell 10K or less copies, and get cancelled before 10 issues. Back during the crash of the comic industry in the 1990s you still had titles selling well over 100K.

SJW always double down indeed. They are incapable of anything else.

The bundle is $150 and attracted 174 backers. The standalone is $80 and attracted 5 backers.

Your prediction that it was money left on the table was not very good. Volume ratio is $26.1K vs. $0.4K, 65:1.

Personally, have too much stuff as it is to want a showpiece. I can lend a comic book to friends, but not a figurine.

I have been completely out of my skin since the campaign began. How cool is having a comics house, Vox? It's electrifying, really brings the feels, man. Having Dixon and Lim side by side on the opening salvo, a heavy hitting tactical decision and going down the blacklist, the talent is unbelievably deep. I can see a dozen or more comics running concurrently in the very near future. If one may, two gentleman I would suggest might make an exceedingly fine addition to the campaign, or future employment, is Frank Cho and J Scott Campbell. You probably recall when they were added to the list around Cho's personal sketch of Spider Gwen a few years ago. Too sexy, they bleated, oh dear. Very, very strong, adamantium level, first round picks. Perhaps a few variant covers are in order. Regardless, I'll just go ahead and return to a catatonic state until Issue #1.

This thing has legs to die for, congratulations.

There was a ddos attack? People are that salty? I mean they started this. They could have kept politics out of comics and this would have never happened. Now there has to be a push back. This is on them. They filled their comics with sjw mental illness. They ran off or blacklisted great authors and artists. Destroyed beloved characters. Now they are frightened that those very artists and authors may have an outlet for something they love and don't have to bow down to their SJW nonsense to find work. It's not going to get better for them, artists and authors will gladly take the chance to REBEL.

...not quite.. except for the idiotic nose that is too small for a 4-yr-old!! Look at pix of beautiful French women -- and none of them have noses smaller than an American dime!! Sorry -- she looks DEFORMED with that ... that ... pimple in the middle of her face...!

The first two pages had a glorious Dynamique. The third page she looks like 14-yr-old. The fourth page, she looks like a 1960s sitcom mom. (!!) The 7th page she looks like a 14-yr-old (only more so).

Then the last, fancied-up version looks ... plebian. Nothing special about her, just a kinda typical comic girl, blah blah blah.

(I know, I know, my opinion matters to an even smaller degree than her now-minuscule, deformed nose; but she was SO perfect in the first page... and it's been downhill ever since.)

Weekday, early and between meals: Chick Fil A has 3 lines all very long + various people eating in. Somebody wrote one of our own Obsessive jerkwad's trigger words. I realize you hate JCW forever and all that, but absolutely nobody looks for hard scientific accuracy is a comicbook about people who can fly.

""A friend of people high up in both companies suggested that I apologize for my political beliefs in order to get assignments again. That's never going to happen," he promised."
This is happening everywhere. Where I work as well. Thankfully voting is still done in private. I work with a lot of powerful dishonest people who are more than happy to use SJW as the mindless tools they are. I backed 4 levels thus far. This is going to be a generational endeavor.

A war we are going to win.

I have enjoyed quite a bit of his work, but the holes which jar one out of the story are beyond irritating.  If you are going to write science fiction, learn the science.  (Have you read "Earth Unaware"?  Do you understand just how absurd Johnston's science is?  JCW has written howlers almost as bad.)

If you're putting something in fucking space, you have to have scientific accuracy for all the non-super stuff and at least plausible mechanisms for that.

What they really don't understand is that if we don't win, we're quite willing to take them with us.
