Please stop

Starting? We're not "starting" to hate them. And the rules of the game are what they are. Kurt Schlichter very somberly warns the Left that if they don't stop doing what they're doing, he's going to have to warn them even more somberly again.
Liberals have chosen to coarsen our culture. Their validation and encouragement of raw hate, their flouting of laws (Hi leakers! Hi Hillary!) and their utter refusal to accept democratic outcomes they disapprove of have consequences. What is itself so surprising is how liberals and their media rentboyz are so surprised to find that we normals are beginning to feel about them the way they feel about us – and that we’re starting to act on it. If you hate us, guess what?

We’re going to start hating you right back.

Cue the boring moralizing and sanctimonious whimpering of the femmy, bow-tied, submissive branch of conservatism whose obsolete members were shocked to find themselves left behind by the masses to whom these geeks’ sinecures were not the most important objective of the movement. This is where they sniff, “We’re better than that,” and one has to ask ,“Who’s we?” Because, by nature, people are not better than that. They are not designed to sit back and take it while they are abused, condescended to, and told by a classless ruling class that there are now two sets of rules and – guess what? –the old rules are only going to be enforced against them.

We don’t like the new rules – I’d sure prefer a society where no one was getting attacked, having walked through the ruins of a country that took that path – but we normals didn’t choose the new rules. The left did. It gave us Ferguson, Middlebury College, Berkeley, and “Punch a Nazi” – which, conveniently for the left, translates as “punch normals.” And many of us have had personal experiences with this New Hate – jobs lost, hassles, and worse. Some scumbags at an anti-Trump rally attacked my friend and horribly injured his dog. His freaking dog.

So when we start to adopt their rules, they’re shocked? Have they ever met human beings before? It’s not a surprise. It’s inevitable.
You can always tell a conservative who still hasn't quite fully embraced the new reality. He just can't resist the urge to issue dire warnings to the Left, desperately trying to convince them of the error of their ways or else. He still has to proclaim his preference for the older, more genteel, more civilized way. It's tiresome. It's tedious. Most of all, it's pointless in a time of identity politics.

And yet, it shows that he is gradually getting where he has to go. He is starting to hate. The Alt-Right is inevitable; the ultimate success of the Alt-Right will be when the name disappears and the greater part of the 16 Points is simply synonymous with what it means to be Right.

Most of us aren't "going to start hating" the Left. We started that a long, long time ago. I can't even honestly say that I hate it anymore, at least, no more than I hate mold. The point is, you either get rid of the mold or you move somewhere else to get away from it. The one thing you do not do, the one thing you cannot do, is try to warn it, fix it, or coexist with it.

Conservatives simply don't grasp that "please stop" is no more convincing than "please clap".

There is one single way that leftists are superior to mold:

You cannot throw mold out of a helicopter.

Or, I suppose even if you can, it is still more FUN with the leftists.

Did Vox getting banned from Twitter make Periscope unusable too, or did it just move somewhere else and I never figured that out?

Heading for two weeks without a Darkstream, and I'm coming up to the end of my Jordan Peterson playlist.

Kurt is in the War-Fighter class of the Right, but the more conventional ones. He's been a guy to watch because he's getting more popular for it. Produces an interesting feedback loop, for certain.

Probably the most important detail is these are popular pieces running on Townhall, which is a pretty normie place. This is what a body politic looks like when it's trending itself for a bloody fight. It's the ground-up effect, not the top-down propaganda effect, as prelude for severe actions.

What's going to hold people back for a while is what the logical consequence of the necessary actions will entail. Most aren't quite to the point of it, though I'm full in on #FreeHelicopterRides. More will get there with time.

I wonder if these sex scandals are the turning point for the masses (even more than the Trump election).
There is something strangely odd about them. All these things have been known for a long time. But for r-selects to start attacking other r-selects? what is up with that?

@VD - I can't even honestly say that I hate it anymore, at least, no more than I hate mold.

Same here. Instead of mold, I was thinking about the bugs that attacked my tomato plants. I don't hate them. They're just bugs. I just applied some pesticides and... no more bugs. Nothing personal.

"Hate" implies that disagreeing with SJWs is irrational, immature even. Screaming "hate" is projection from SJWs, because they really do hate us with a passion.

I feel a lot more contempt and disgust than hate. The end result is more or less the same, though.

@5 My proto-argument is that it's not r-select per se so much as a particular form of security seeking. For a while there, the Big Strong Socialist State and its corporate and propaganda wing, was being perceived as a superior mate choice. Even the violence of socialism was written off in a "but he's never like that to ME" fashion.

The left didn't understand that because it denies there are sexual dynamics of any kind, and above all that they are reproductive; but watch how quickly all the characteristics of Big Strong Socialist State (prestigious enough to invite everyone across the border to his parties! Alpha enough that they behave, just for him! Paternal enough to care about children who aren't even his!) get flipped to disgust and revulsion, when at the end of the list people begin to append "And he approves of molesting children!".

Anonymous Rocklea November 21, 2017 5:57 AM

"But for r-selects to start attacking other r-selects? what is up with that?"

The left have delved too deeply into the recreational aspects of sexuality and are begging for K dominance to bring back the reproductive nature. The projection of their degeneracy onto the Trump grab em by the pussy moment did not elicit the patterned response thereby assuaging their owns feelings of wrongness. I suspect that acted as a mirror, same with Roy Moore, and they are noticing the log in their eye. Jordan Peterson thinks this may be the source of feminists aligning with Islam. It's like they're unconsciously goading the right to arms.

The article Dennis linked is good, for some reason Anonymous Conservative dropped off my radar for the last few months. Will rectify that.

Blogger Resident Moron™ November 21, 2017 6:08 AM

It might be unconscious on the part of the true believers - the word fairly well defines them after all - but it's not unconscious on the part of those manipulating them.

This polarisation is an old political trick. It used to be referred to as "Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis"

The manipulators believe they will always survive and prosper. They always believe this. They believe they will manipulate the eventual synthesis of the two polarities they've created, and ride it where they will.

Sometimes they're right, and sometimes it's the French Revolution and the Terror and they have their heads cut off (not because everyone wakes up and recognizes them for the manipulators they are, but just because everyone with a bit of coin and education loses their head. maybe they wear glasses.)

Anonymous Looking Glass November 21, 2017 6:18 AM

The old ways only work when it's an external enemy and the intelligent planners are with you. The problem? It's internal enemies and the Elites ran most of the actually intelligent out of their purview. The Elites really don't understand that they've built a world with the ones that are the most dangerous to them are disconnected from their spheres of influence.

Which is why the Terror, the thing they fear the most, is far more like what they're going to unleash. But the counter response is already starting to take shape. Wup wup.

Possibly off topic, so feel free to delete or ignore.

I've heard quite a bit about "R/K" on this blog, AC, and other blogs, but probably being more R than K, the meaning of K manhood isn't clear to me. Are womanizers K or R? Promiscuity in women is definitely R, but it has a very different nature than in men.

There are a lot of womanizers and former womanizers in different walks of life, but I would think that's R behavior. A past life of womanizing can have after-effects on your soul, even if the struggle to be a faithful family man is liberating. However, can we even change our R/K natures?

Bill Clinton is R, surely. John Edwards, Anthony Weiner, et al. What about Elliot Spitzer, or the younger GE, though?
Just looking for clarification. This shouldn't be misconstrued as an attempt to start an argument or anything, though. Just seeking knowledge.

@Rocklea, this was bound to happen. Any gardener or farmer knows that to maintain the health of the ecosystem you are cultivating, you must occasionally prune the shoots, cut away the overgrowth, and cull the sick and weak. You always burn the weeds.

Now, as humans and likely Christians to boot, we hope to find more humane means of pruning, culling, and burning, but the end result must be the same: marginalize and/or eradicate the things that prevent healthy growth and harvest.

I’m puzzled that eco-warriors are so intent on maintaining the purity of their various pet ecosystems by culling invasives and planting natives, or restoring marshes or sieving ponds, but cannot extend their supposed intelligence and logic to the problems of humanity, except to say Whites should not breed.

You're not imagining things. There was a study done of gay males within the zyklon-b/young Millenials age range and 90% of them believe in and want exclusive monogamous relationships. This is part of a larger trend. I call it the "Tits, or GTFO" backlash. People still get horny, but they REALLY want to get horny with the right mate forever. It is jaded attitude (lots of sexy bodies to swipe right) combined with a desire to find the one. Too many people are sick of the (((attempts))) to appeal to our most base, materialistic urges without offering that spiritual intangible to strive and yearn for.

Yes indeed! I like to think of it as meeting a mentally ill and aggressively violent homeless person who simply has no real conception of reality. You don't hate the mentally ill homeless person, but you understand that, in your situation on the street, there is no reasoning with him. You either definitively stop the homeless person from attacking you or else you separate yourself from the homeless person so he cannot attack you.

Thus, you might not hate the mentally ill homeless person, but that still does not negate the fact that you only have two options when dealing with him. And while you might be able to reason with one out of a hundred of such homeless people, they are the exception that proves the rule.

To a certain extent, yes. There will always be pure r's just like there are pure K's. But in between those two, there is a large swath of maybe's.

(Remember people have memes as well as genes. r/K theory applies to memes as well as genes.)

Currently the masses are predominantly r (meme based).
But they can (and will) shift to K memes when necessary.

I think that the coming K-shift will be something to behold. It will probably go down in history as a major watershed moment. Living trough it may be "interesting" at times though...

Hate is a strong word, and it is a word that sometimes grates on the ears of the modern Christian. Never the less, I started hating the left in 1969.

The left-wing fools have worked overtime to destroy Western Civilization and to enslave the people to barbarism. Sowell once said that they tried to replace things that worked with things that sounded good. (sounded good to them that is)

For a long time I had hoped that reality --- like the fact that boys and girls are different --- would sink in on the bastards. But, no, it has not. Looks like large scale violence in the streets is coming.

A breakup of the empire into various tribal areas looks to be the only way out short of genocide.

@41, nice one.

My hatred is for any idealism that insists that humans should not be human. From insisting we don't predominantly fall into binary sexes, to insisting we do not need monogamy to reproduce successfully, to hating the family, extended family, nation and tribe as some sort of atavism to be stamped out instead of a stable foundation from which to build.

It is since my diagnosis with autism that I have started to truly hate not only the control freaks, who I always despised, but also those who insist we are all, and must be all, identical in form, function, and preference.

I am not identical, I can't be. My children can't be. Logically, a society that insists on Equalitarian sameness must ultimately kill us or admit that it's wrong. And with no borders, no free nations, there will be nowhere to flee.

Allow me to jump some logic and conclude: Voxian Omninationalism is structurally non-genocidal, and may be the only reliably and reduntantly non-genocidal structure in existence.

@38 markstoval

A deep part of the Christian Walk is knowing how to hate properly. Churchians can't get that.

On r/K theory, I've mentioned before that I think it's a 70% answer, and the questions mostly run into that issue. r/K lays out responses to Input Stimulus, without really well confining aspects of those Inputs. It's one thing to know how someone is going to respond to inputs, but we're in an area where what those Inputs they're responding to is in question.

Part of the issue, and this goes back to "why everyone hates Boomers", is that the explosion in economic growth from 1945 through about 1965 in the USA and some associated countries, is the largest net increase in human history. Period. A lot of consequential technologies came online and radically lowered the costs of extremely valuable items while at the same time finding brand new ways to produce & use energy. This is why they're the "Baby Boomers" and why the r's went wild. They had never had it that good.

Now? Outside of immigration, Modern Economies are in stability mode. There isn't anything big coming down the pipe. We're in iterative mode for a while, which is why the populations stabilized. But introducing non-natives puts huge stress on the society, long with being a resource drain. The r's are feeling extremely anxious because of that. (They have been for 20 years, but we invented antidepressants to get them through the day.)

What's really happening is the Nationalist swings will cut out the dead weight & corruption. What are r's naturally? Corrupting. They don't think about tomorrow very hard. This is why they get herded to the slaughter. Which is what they're feeling. Also, Trump is cutting off spigots of money. Leftwing activists are parasites, producing nothing of net value, so they have to infect and be funded by governments. This is why dc.sunsets' points will generally hold true. We're at the tail end of a massive debt "boom", and the r's are feeling the squeeze. r's don't handle that well.

If the SJW faction of r's start committing suicide in mass, don't be too surprised.

Anonymous Looking Glass November 21, 2017 7:43 AM

One positive to r/K theory, though, is we finally have an explanation for why certain sets of people cannot understand that you can grow an economy. They can only view things through the lens of consumption.

It's the reason people can still believe in "income redistribution" against all logic. They simply cannot fathom you can make things better.

Anonymous Rocklea November 21, 2017 7:51 AM

"Have you read AC's book?"
Yes.

"Unconsciously trying to rectify their own mess? Hmm... interesting notion..."

IIRC r's will take advantage of the chaos created by breaking the rules in a K selected environment. We are in an r selected environment, especially the r trait people are for sure, so inter r competition due to low ingroup preferences will also mean eating their own. That's not controversial. But overall, we are a K species and if the chaos that the r's create is effecting their chances of reproduction, a more stable iterative solution needs to be found. Also the r's want K DNA, they are just ambivalent to it's source, thus Islam. So probably unconsciously trying to reproduce successfully and recognising conditions/rules are changing, so adapting strategies to suit the situation (ie, take advantage of the moral panic you've created).

Remember though, AC has written a tight argument using a single heuristic, based in biology, but subject to the same subjective/objective shortcomings of any heuristic. Like Wynnloyd's question @29, you probably can make more sense of it incorporating something like Vox's sociosexual hierarchy.

Social Security is straight out, verbatim from the Communist Manifesto. Also real estate taxes, which, if not paid, are legal cause for confiscating your real estate (you don't own the property, you are merely renting it from the state. Your supposed seed is merely an exclusive license to rent that property from the state); and, of course, income taxes, especially "progressive" income taxes ( higher income means higher percentage taken by the state).

VD: "Depends. If they keep and support a harem, they are K. Think Donald Trump and his three wives and collection of children to whom he is close. If they are fly-by-nights, they are r. Think Travis Henry and his 11 kids by 10 different women."

Yes. And then there are those lifelong womanizers who marry late, and become dedicated and monogamous husbands and fathers.

Warren Beatty is an extreme example. His biographer estimates that Beatty had sex with about 16,000 women. But then he settled down with Annette Bening in his 50s, and had four children with her.

To all appearances, he has been happily faithful to her for 26 years. In a recent interview he said that his marriage still "feels recent" to him, and that it is one of the best things that has ever happened to him.

Of his prior decades of relentless poonhoundery, Beatty says, "I was not afraid of marriage. I was afraid of divorce. I was right."

The example of Beatty suggests that r/K selection theory's association of promiscuity with r, and of monogamy with K, is a superficial misunderstanding of the psychobiological forces in play.

It really seems to be more rooted in low time preference (r) vs high time preference (K); as well as in your sense duty (r), or lack thereof (K), toward those you love, and for whom you feel responsible.

It's easy to imagine a highly K-selected man like Beatty postponing marriage until his 50s, precisely because he doesn't want to marry the wrong woman (high time preference).

In the meantime, why not fuck thousands of women?

Womanizers like Beatty who are careful not to knock anyone up, who have (presumably) avoided contracting any serious STDs; and who are able, moreover, to ruthlessly purge the disruptive drama queens from their life, show that there is indeed a K-selected way in which to be a world class poon hound.

Kurt Schlichter has been calling for Roy Moore to drop out "for the good of conservatism."

Another guy who portrays himself as a fighter, but when the fight gets uncomfortable, he folds.

"Defend our guy against charges of diddling little girls? Awkward! What would our friend think? Better to virtue signal by calling for him to quit."

Now that the charges against Roy Moore are falling apart (faked yearbook, relatives saying they are doing it for the money) Kurt Schlichter is looking pretty sad on this subject.

Schlichter, like most ex military, still believes that the government and its minions provide order. But the fact is that we have reached a period, as argued in Tom Paine's 'Common Sense', where the government is the chief cause of disorder. Which has created massive cognitive dissonance in our society...

Blogger Anchorman November 21, 2017 8:30 AM

I think Kurt's refusal to take the final step is ingrained in fear of being considered racist. His only beef with the alt-Right boils down to him accepting the alt-Right is deep down racist. He bought that line and isn't selling anytime soon.

Whenever called racist, he almost always notes that his wife is "non-white," (though I still find it weird that hispanic is somehow not white).

By still ducking the "racist" label, he indicates he's still letting the Left dictate terms of what he can and can't express. By joining in the "alt-Right is racist, so this is something I cannot abide" crew, he'll never get free and learn to say, without a hint of social embarrassment, "It's okay to be white." That's a major pillar for him. I think, once it falls, the minor issues (like Moore) will follow.

I don't think it's permanent. He's moved a lot over the past two years. I just don't know what it takes for someone to shrug off the last of the Left's control over what is and is not acceptable.

Blogger pyrrhus November 21, 2017 8:31 AM

Schlichter's cowardly post on Moore has cost him a lot of credibility, as even some other cuckish types understood that we should not give away the seat to a Democrat. Unfortunate, but virtue signaling is a siren call for civic nationalists...

Blogger Anchorman November 21, 2017 8:32 AM

Clarification. I don't think he cares about being called "racist" by the Left. I think he fears being considered racist by the Right and his peers.

So, I guess it's really losing the fear of castigation by anyone. See also: Buchanan.

I think you're right. Kurt is not writing to persuade Lefties. I'm sure he'd welcome any last minute, pre-Ragnorak conversions, but his target audience is precisely the "normie" set. I think he's engaged in a sort of deliberate predictive programing, legitimizing thoughts the TA already have. He's a senior officer with following among that class. We share the demographic and I do the same thing, albeit to a much smaller circle of influence. I could be wrong, but I'd bet money that's what he's up to.

Lately, when the topic of racism comes up in conversation, I'v taken to saying, "There is no such thing as racism. Everyone discriminates."
Seems to work. You can then point out how our various preferences are necessarily exclusionary. People fill in the blanks and see the truth of it. Normal people that is.

I can appreciate Vox's impatience with Schlichter; one would hope by now that he's ready for meat, not milk. But personally, I'm content as long as Schlichter mostly goes the right direction. I think there's utility in a public figure creeping toward the Alt-Right, even if it's maddeningly slow and halting sometimes. I also have more sympathy for a Schlichter wanting to hold on to the old ways and hoping they might be restored, but that's probably because that moment wasn't as long ago for me. Realizing that "it's later than I thought" will open a lot of eyes, and it's better if it's sooner rather than later.

Given the left-as-mold attitude, I don't see how you get to any sane politics even if you durably win.

Society needs to A/B test because nobody knows how to predict the future reliably. Even if you go all in for dictatorship, the jockeying for power among ideological groups is a real need to keep society functioning.

There needs to be common ground (generally starting with we're not going to kill each other) and there needs to be a safe level of difference so that society doesn't crash and burn if the dominant faction is tossed out for the alternative.

This means that there is a perpetual ecological niche for the left (whether we still call them that or not) in our national political ecosystem, just like there always is one for the right.

Hating the left as left denies this. After the civil war and the realignment of politics to a sane common ground there's still going to be a need for choices and one of them will be associated with what we today call the left.

What does the opposition look like in a world where the alt-right first becomes the dominant right and then wins?

Maybe it's cause I'm old and mean, but I'll be applauding if they start committing suicide en masse! (Hell, I'll be happy to hand out the poison!)

It's like: the cancer cells in our (national) body have discovered apoptosis and are killing themselves off! Not because they're valiantly trying to SAVE the body, but because the 'glucose' that they have survived on is disappearing (go low carb -- in all sorts of ways!) and they are starving because they have no more fuel.

The RACE is: can the national 'body' survive until the cancer has died off/killed itself off? Perhaps we should save (we're "K" after all!) some of our energy and 'glucose' for keeping the national body alive WHILE we help starve and remove the cancer... We'd do that anyway because we're "K" -- but a conscious eye on that aspect would probably not go amiss.

Schlichter's evolution will be complete once he lets go of the virtue signaling. He will discover his "new rules" don't permit such. Schlichter disguised his desire to jettison Moore as a cold political decision to try to preserve the seat for a "conservative," but he is indeed virtue signaling.

If Moore pulls it out, which seems more likely as the claims against him fall apart, it will be Armageddon if McConnell tries not to seat him. Schlichter can make his conversion complete then.

The left wants it to continue unabated until the European peoples are obliterated into minority status in their own countries. If the right wanted this then the right would be the enemy. If the centre wanted this then the centre would be the enemy. If a foreign power wanted this then the foreign power would be the enemy. It is a fact of nature.

"So, based on your (apparent) understanding from the mainstream and hollywood press (!) of how Beatty (apparently/ was reported to have) lived his life"

How many Hollywood marriages survive for 26 years? What is your explanation for the rare longevity of Beatty's marriage?

If Beatty had been cheating on Bening for all that time, he almost certainly would've been exposed by now. TMZ and the other tabloids would love to catch him for something like that.

"and, thus, on the basis of solitary N=1 (where even in his own milieu he was perceived as weird!), you suggest AC is misunderstanding biology?!"

Beatty is an extreme example, but there are many others. It's a type of man. And, yes, the existence of men like Beatty suggests that AC has superficially misunderstood the sexual dimension of the difference between r and K. Because, in the lives of such men, sexual behavior can easily be decoupled from the high time preference and high parental investment. There is no connection between them.

If there exists a human type, or a spectrum of types, who display seemingly r selected sexual behavior for years, even for decades, only to behave in a conspicuously K selected way when they marry and have children, then there is an oversight somewhere in AC's application of the theory to sexual behavior.

"(Although I must admit, I got a sense of: oh, this guy thinks HE can also screw 16,000 women and still somehow make a successful (as far as we know, as far as was reported, as much as we dare trust the MSM and HW gossip) marriage in his 50s... Hmmmm.)"

That is exactly what Beatty has done. It isn't a lie of the Hollywood press. He really was a ravenous womanizer for decades before his marriage, and he really has been married for 26 years, and he really does have four children, and he really has invested highly in the raising of those children.

We can't say for sure that he has been entirely faithful to Bening during all that time, of course. Who knows? But that irrelevant.

Even if Beatty has cheated on Bening here and there (and there is no evidence that he has), his example as a husband and father is nevertheless conspicuously K selected.

Did Christ love the Pharisees?

You can love the memory of something dead, but the destructive soulless zombie or corpse needs to be buried, cremated, or otherwise kept away from the living. Even if its heart is still beating. ESPECIALLY if it is still animate.

I think the path from Conservatism or Libertarianism follows a path. The very first thing which anyone who still has a functioning brain realizes is the Left hates you and you can't overcome irrational hate with rhetoric or dialectic. The left isn't simply wrong but mortal enemies.

The hard part is unlearning all the ideals and platitudes which might work in Utopia - either Constitutional or AnarchoCapitalist. That part of some cultures in any multi-cultural group will reject the necessary core principles, or simply not be able to grasp them. Somalis - either at home or in Mogadishu on the Mississippi want Warlords, Imams, and Sharia.

They desperately try to come up with a theory on how everyone really wants to be free and equal, but reality gets in the way. The demographics of Unite The Right and Tom Woods' Contra Cruise as far as I can tell were very similar, both in gender and race.

The more I think about it, Cuckservatives have their own convergence, point and (wordy, erudite) screeds with no more actual content than the SJW shrieks - I remember NR's "Purge Sobran" issue to this day - and while it is a magnificent virtue signal, it is still a virtue signal. Same with the Never Trump issue and continual attacks. Rational people left.

On the Libertarian side, they are being converged. LGBTQ while taking welfare and doing drugs is what Porcfest and the Free State project have descended to. And unlike Vox here, when Richard Spencer shows up to an event, he wants to talk and discuss, while the Libertarians point and shriek "Racist!".

It is still all very uncoordinated and messy, but what is left for the Traditional majority that likes western civilization are two negatives so far. The Left that is the rot. And the Cuckservatives who refuse to remove it.

I think the weakness or mistake in both their attacks is to have weakly linked "racist" with "Christian". The latter came after Obergefell shoved gay marriage down everyone's throat, and the Left and Cuck reaction was to call everyone who didn't accept it a bigot. That woke up a lot of people. Who then realized "racist" was merely an insult, not a description. Same with "sexist". That is why it is "Punch a Nazi" instead of "Punch a Racist" because they are burning through words as they lose their power. And the normies remember "Lets burn down Memories' Pizza".

Meanwhile, race realism, gender realism, cultural-civil realism are all there for everyone to see if they just look. Or are forced to. My only surprise so far is that the minority areas weren't burned and looted by their residents rioting yet. But Chicago and Baltimore are trying to have no murder weekends.

You cannot because the true nature of the leftist is contrarian. You can only force them into coexistence through fear, or remove them from your society.

We could very well end up winning a civil war. The left is humbled, the SJWs no more, and society gets along well enough for a some number of decades. But if you keep any leftists around, they, or their descendants will bring you right back to the situation we are in now.

The Japanese seem to be very racist and no one calls them out on it. They don't seem to claim they are "superior" to others, but rather, that they are different. They are Japanese. What is wrong with that?

In the teaching business, if you notice that the various races (on average) preform differently in my subject you get called a racist and probably will be fired. (my subject is math) And the same goes with sex differences.

But I am called on to ask some kids to do things that are simply beyond their abilities. Others get held back waiting for the low IQ kids to "get it". It just ain't going to happen no matter what technology we use or how "progressive" the lesson plans are.

What would be wrong with teaching the lower IQ kids a real trade? Hell, I need a carpenter to do some work at my house right now but can't afford one. What is wrong with working with one's hands?

@76 Listen to Molyneux latest on Poland. One surprise is he could have a civil, rational conversation with a Polish globalist leftist and there wasn't any hatred or resentment.

The fundamental difference here is both the Globalist and the Nationalist had the good of Poland and the Poles in mind and were arguing which policies produced the best outcome for the Poles.

Even the Alt-Lite is America First in a way many Civic Nationalists are not - they talk about rights, equality, the constitution, not America.

A simple example from the 10 commandments. We are to honor our Father and Mother, and it doesn't put the conditions of them being honorable or noble or good parents. You are here because they are or were. This expresses a natural law principle that means tribalism, patriotism, and nationalism are morally righteous, and the opposite is sin.

You can argue that your parent might be wrong, and correct them (as they corrected you), but never dishonor them.

This is the epic fail of the civic nationalist. They don't honor their motherland and fatherland. They only honor abstract ideas. They won't acknowledge their patrimony as a nation, only as a paper. But the nation created the paper. It is as backwards as saying "the people wanted equality and rights, so they created a God that endowed them with equality and rights".

The Alt-Right says because we are one nation, we want it to be the most peaceful and prosperous, so we must carefully craft a Constitution for Our (we the) People. Our People (I want to use "Volk") are worthy of such and Our People are able to preserve the Liberty God will bless us with.

Civic Nationalists say because we have a Constitution, it means everyone under it is part of "Our People", including the ones who have been ignoring or shredding it for over 100 years, and we have to tolerate them even if it ends up killing us because, principle.

I think Kurt is one "unsavory" column away from the "respectable Right" (a sect of which he calls "Fredocons" while the rest are cuckservatives) giving him the heave-ho, a la Coulter, Derb, etc.

He's not there yet. He's STILL warning them. Repeatedly. I keep telling them that they are going to hate the new rules.

Do you notice I never talk to the Left? I certainly never warn them, except to call my shots for the purposes of demoralization after I hit them where they weren't expecting it. Because I'm not trying to fix them or talk them into backing off. I know they won't.

My Dear Leftist Radicals.....
While in the talking stage, you met the Gentlemen...the Nerds...the Policy Wonks...and the Diplomats. They talked to you in the hopes of finding a way to Reason with you, treating you like a human being, even when you are loud and rude. We never thought you were Equal. We just thought you were wrong.

But now, you do not want to talk any more. You want proper action. You want to scuffle on the sidewalk. You want to riot and hurt the people you hate and burn down our homes.

That is fine. I could not be more delighted. Because now you get to meet my kid brother, Bubba. In fact, I have tens of millions of kid brothers, who have been waiting for the talking to stop so they can use more mechanical means of dealing with you.

They are not Gentlemen, or Nerds, or Historians, or Polite, and the reputation they have will most certainly be reinforced. Let me introduce you to my redneck kid brothers... Angus, and Dummy, and Bill Earl. They have so looked forward to this moment.
See you in Hell.

What does the opposition look like in a world where the alt-right first becomes the dominant right and then wins?

"They have to go back" doesn't solve our problems, it only gives us the ability to solve them. We'll still have many painful choices to make about a whole host of things. Student debt, real estate, public pensions, what flavor of cat food to feed the Boomers while they wait for the woodchipper...

We will have a lot of wrecked lives to deal with regardless. 40 year old cat ladies, meth addicts, low-T men. Our financial system will have collapsed and will need to be replaced. Our infrastructure will be rotting, our political system itself will be in shambles. There will be no shortage of problems and legitimate opposing right-wing viewpoints on how to deal with them.

Blogger wreckage November 21, 2017 11:39 AM

@107, well, they reject virtue as a spiritual thing, so it must be material, they don't much like jocks, so virtue must be intellect. Hence to say a race or gender is lower IQ is exactly the same thing as calling them horrible. Not similar, not analogous, the *EXACT* same thing.

So, in their moral model, you saying "this guy can't deal with abstract math, lets teach him a trade" is the same as "this girl is a natural slut, let's get her into a whorehouse", and saying it because he's black, well, you're saying he's bad, because of his race, so that's racist.

But wrecking the kid's life and community by trying to smash them into a shape they aren't, while stripping everything they can do out of the economy and sending it overseas, leaving them with nothing but welfare cheques, bitterness, and decay, is NOT racist and therefore not bad.

Blogger BigFire November 21, 2017 11:39 AM

Blogger wreckage November 21, 2017 11:41 AM

They really aren't racist, in the sense they understand racism.

well 1st on topic, Kurt Schlicter has a way to go before he is .Alt Right but odds are very good he'll make it sooner than later

As to the quoted point.

Eh, I have no no moral qualms with wealth redistribution to my countrymen and my countrymen alone when work is scarce

Social security is just a Ponzi scheme and its only a Ponzi scheme because we simply refuse to admit that we want a national pension system and are unable to simply have a budget that includes one. Blame military spending and immigration mainly.

In any case if Social Security were to go away even in a responsible fashion, you'd hate the results. The interaction between wage arbitrage (TL:DR do to automaton and efficiency increases wages will never rise for any period of time) and the sudden increase in savings rate and the increase in senior poverty would be devastating to the economy

Social Security was, like the Affordable Care act, a political compromise , though Social Security was better thought out.

Its generally quite an efficient transfer of wealth (3% overhead from what I have been able to determine) is nearly all spent and any that isn't, is recouped when retirees die

As far as the problem at hand, mass deportations combined with forced divestiture of housing by banks, foreigners and hedge funds should produce a native fertility increase.

Housing will get cheaper in many areas and wages will go up considerably

This won't help the Midwest much though, to do that you'd need a lot of labor intensive well paid jobs. You'll get some but automation will eat into them.

I don't expect huge population growth ever again.

My reasoning being that TFR hit 1.8 nearly a century ago when Industrialism met the Depression in the 30's and it had been in decline for a century

Out of the staggering growth of the baby boom and the vast increase in wealth it hasn't gone above 1.8 for half a century. This suggest that among 'K' selected people 2 and a bit at most is all you'll see under any normal circumstances

I could see with a ban on abortion , some growth but I don't expect to see a lot.

I think the broad assumption that we need a moral revival is true but morals are no guarantee of fertility (c.f the 1930's) and can even work against it if times are tight.

Also the assumption that all the forms of entertainment, the Internet and birth control other than abortion will magically vanish and everyone be want to parent is risible.

You'll get population mini boom from after the war euphoria if there is plenty of food (no guarantee, we may have mass starvation) and housing and it will fade to stable

Still lots more White families with a couple of kids, lots less Leftists and Foreigners sounds real fine to me

Now, all this reminds me, I really need to work on that white paper on fertility and social carrying capacity

Beatty got married at 55, I think.

And 16,000 is his biographer's estimate, based on Beatty's lifestyle as a bachelor. At least after he got famous, more than one girl a day--sometimes many more, if you include group sex--is pretty much how he lived for decades.

Why do you think Beatty made so few films in his life? He was extremely busy doing other things.

You could almost say that, until he got married, he treated fucking as many women as possible as his true life's work. Being a movie star was just his day job.

Perhaps Beatty's biographer is overestimating the number, but we know in any case that the real number is well into the thousands.

Even 500 women would still make my point that Anonymous Conservative has committed a likely oversight in how he applies r/K selection theory to sexuality.

Invariably, one or more sides is going to end up being called the left but those guys will not be SJW, or marxist, or any of the other pathologies that are currently infesting the left. And you're going to have to distinguish between these non-toxic leftists and their predecessors, much as the republican right is distinguishable from the much older monarchist right.

I'm not sure how you make that transition back to normal politics.

How you or I may feel about the matter has nothing to do with what's going to happen. It's going to go away, either via direct cuts or by not keeping up with inflation. The question becomes how we deal with it.

I wish I could say that I was even a little bit surprised. Cucks will cuck in the end, no matter how tough they talk or how powerfully they pose.

Kurt is one of those men who hold the line very, very strongly. He does not change quickly or easily – a very German characteristic and his name is Schlichter. Another aspect of holding the line in men like Kurt is that they have an extremely high regard for truth and personal integrity, and it must be perceived and tested by their senses – seen, heard, felt – for a long time before the change is accepted.

He lives in Orange county, California and used to attend a United Methodist church. He finally left his church two summers ago because he saw with his own eyes and heard with his own ears that, “they didn’t preach Jesus.” He now calls it a fake church.

Those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear clearly and early – we are forerunners. We cannot forget that that means we are not in the vanguard. It is the commanders of the men in the vanguard who will hold the line, and they will indeed HOLD THE LINE. Those men – they cannot be, will not allow themselves to be pushed into anything before it is time.

Please take my word for it that it is a very bad situation when those kind of men are manipulated beyond their sense of appropriate time and place for the change. Have faith that they love the truth just as much as you do, and have patience that they will indeed choose to follow the truth. The same characteristic that is infuriating right now, will soon be cherished and celebrated as an immovable rock that can be relied upon absolutely.

The timeline of change is an inconsistent variable that is accomplished organically from moment to moment and individual to individual. Allow yourselves to be built up in the grace of the Lord, and extend His grace to your fellow servants of the King who are not yet in step with you. It is but a temporary inconvenience, and you will be glad when the moment arrives and we can all step out together.

You don't baring miraculous reform , it stays at the new level with an increasing number on the right refusing to cooperate. Its a common process in a political collapse

Longer term, future politics is going to be homogeneous societies reaching a quick consensus , and note this means politically homogeneous as well or there will be bloodletting until someone comes out strong enough to make people comply in the area he controls

Settling scores on every side will be the order of the day, its downright a mandate as no one will have another chance to do it and its long long overdo.

This is why the Right is so reluctant to fight, they fear chaos having much to lose and a moral code that tried to limit violence.

A civil war that likely kills half the population or more better damn well be worth the outcome. Also until recently, there wasn't even the framework for an alternate outcome.

That's changing and the political winds are shifting a bit, it might even be possible to avoid the worst of it. It's certainly still worth trying.

I don't care if the truth violates someone's sense of the appropriateness of the change or whatever. If you're clinging to falsehood, you are clinging to falsehood. That's on you. Being slow to recognize the truth when it is staring you in the face is not a virtue.

Amish TFR is 7. The Amish are K. They don't use birth control and space the children out by about 2 years. This process starts around age 20 for a woman and continues to the mid to late 30's.

7 is the natural TFR for an agrarian K people.

It is not a virtue. But it is entirely human. The 11 stared Truth in the face every day for three years and yet couldn't see it. Thomas didn't believe until he could put his finger upon it in the flesh. But once that happened, absolutely nothing stopped him, and he was a rock solid machine.

Left and Right are relative. Once we sever the current socialist SJW left, the left will be those who advocate for civil last change safetynets, and the right will be for something more darwinian. The Overton window never stretches across the entire spectrum.

Well yes but this doesn't apply in the current or expected future conditions at all.

1st The Amish are a religious tribe that eschews technology and complexity. You could with some disrespect call them a sort of 18th century LARPERS

2nd We White Americans don't live like that at all . Over 80% of all people live in cities. we are probably a bit more rural than other races, especially Blacks but almost everyone lives in a city or suburb now. The natural TFR in a city is maybe 2 and most of them aren't religious to any huge degree

Even the rural people aren't farmers like the Amish. Farmers are maybe 3% of the population and they are high tech farmers. The natural TFR is lower since you don't need many kids.

Now if society collapses utterly, most people will starve to death or die of violence and disease and whoever is left among the much smaller population will tend to be more fertile especially if they are a farmer

The population might, might grow back to its former numbers in a long period of time depending on conditions

Its still not going to exceed the current numbers they can't be supported long term.

IMO we have as a species even smart people have already grossly exceeded our long term carrying capacity. A much smaller population half what it is not is more sustainable and pleasant and scarce resources which are the highlight of a K shift will go farther.

we were doing fine getting there but rulers hate population decline since they have less people to treat like chattel and the business class is growth obsessed.

Now concepts like a steady state economy, ZPG or no economic growth assumed do exist but they tend to be rejected on "religious" grounds by the business class , since constant growth is the creed they follow

Our future depends on removing foreigners and preventing future entry not in a breeding war almost no one wants and our economy won't support .

The same issues that render us less than stable long term will effect, are effecting everyone else. Don't help, kettle them and our biggest problems end.

The social problems will self repair as extended families become the norm and Leftism begins to be eschewed . Leftism is so unnatural this is already happening and belts are just starting to tighten

A well placed .Alt Right alternative church might even increase societal Christianity or if the .Alt Right can hijack an existing church, same there.

Its not that important, crazy level of immorality tend to self destruct as resources tighten.

It really seems to be more rooted in low time preference (r) vs high time preference (K); as well as in your sense duty (r), or lack thereof (K), toward those you love, and for whom you feel responsible.

I think you have the definition of time preference backwards. Low time preference is being willing to put things off, high time preference is "I want it NOW!"
