The fiend Roy Moore

Well, if dating a girl who is of the age of consent and not taking advantage of her over several months of dating doesn't disqualify a man for the Senate, I don't know what does!
Debbie Wesson Gibson says that she was 17 in the spring of 1981 when Moore spoke to her Etowah High School civics class about serving as the assistant district attorney. She says that when he asked her out, she asked her mother what she would say if she wanted to date a 34-year-old man. Gibson says her mother asked her who the man was, and when Gibson said “Roy Moore,” her mother said, “I’d say you were the luckiest girl in the world.”

Among locals in Gadsden, a town of about 47,000 back then, Moore “had this godlike, almost deity status — he was a hometown boy made good,” Gibson says, “West Point and so forth.”

Gibson says that they dated for two to three months, and that he took her to his house, read her poetry and played his guitar. She says he kissed her once in his bedroom and once by the pool at a local country club.

“Looking back, I’m glad nothing bad happened,” says Gibson, who now lives in Florida. “As a mother of daughters, I realize that our age difference at that time made our dating inappropriate.”
Now, I wasn't there, but I will say that an older man who dates a younger woman for two to three months with her mother's approval and doesn't have sex with her is not the sort of man who behaves in the manner that his accuser is claiming. Especially in light of the timing, this is almost certainly politically motivated slander and Fake News.

Quite on the other end of the credibility scale, Steve Sailer just busted (((Jon Leibowitz))) for attempting to sweep (((Louis CK's serial sexual harassment under the rug, while (((Matthew Weiner))) is the latest Hollywood Values paragon to be accused of sexual harassment.

Why is one accusation credible while the other isn't? Compare how Moore's behavior towards other was described compared with Weiner's.
At times he seemed a classic bully: obsequious toward those above him, condescending and harsh toward those he perceived as having less power to help or harm him. After one confrontation, costume designer Juliet Polcsa began carrying a minicassette recorder to tape her interactions with Weiner.
And then there is this.
Matt originally hired Kater as his personal assistant. She was soon promoted to be his writer’s assistant, and by the end of that same season, Matt offered her the opportunity to co-write the season finale — a particularly important show for him as Weiner also directs the final episode of each season. Then, without requiring Kater to generate any other spec material on her own (usually required for a writer’s advancement), Matt promoted her to be a full-time staff writer for this past season.
That's a totally normal timeframe for advancement, right? Weiner wasn't treating Kater any differently than any other PA/writer's assistant/co-writer/staff writer, right? She was just so super-talented that she never worked in the industry again, right?

I can't imagine, after the Trump dossier, how anyone can assume McCain, the Democrats, or any of the swamp are ever making accusations in good faith.

This witch hunt against the men in Hollywood is going to bite us in the ass. It's now open season for rape allegations against powerful white men and this time everyone is to blame. Eventually people will become desensitized to allegations without evidence but if Moore somehow loses this the left will realize they have themselves an effective weapon going into the mid-term elections.

The stuff about Loius CK has been known in comedy circles for years and years. The guy was a pervert and it was known. It was already common knowledge but it's just now come to the surface. He's a raging perv to this day.

Aside from Corfman, three other women interviewed by The Washington Post in recent weeks say Moore pursued them when they were between the ages of 16 and 18 and he was in his early 30s, episodes they say they found flattering at the time, but troubling as they got older. None of the three women say that Moore forced them into any sort of relationship or sexual contact.

So why in the fuck is this a story?
The media are definitely digging up shit on Roy Moore from THE SEVENTIES for political reasons.

That '14 year old girl' is now 53.

Gloria Thacker Deason says she was an 18-year-old cheerleader when Moore began taking her on dates that included bottles of Mateus Rosé wine. The legal drinking age in Alabama was 19.

Seriously? Who gives a flying F?

I'm sure the Washington Post cares about those poor, poor 53-year-old little girls and just wanted to help them find some solace and resolution to those things that happened... in the fucking SEVENTIES... those terrible incidents in which they think, according to their memories from 40 fucking years ago, that Roy might have wanted to screw them but didn't. So Roy Moore dated women in perfect accordance with the times customs and decorum of the generation and place. Quelle horror.

The fourteen year old is am outlier in a ton of ways not just her age. My mom grandmother, great grandmother all married older men. None were disrespectful women and all were married until death do they part.

It's a smear job and not a good one.

Blogger Johnny November 10, 2017 10:42 AM

The old fashioned community that could enforce a rigid morality is gone. In our new circumstance the charges against Moore are actually pretty minor. A possible statuary rape because the women may have been underage along with a middle aged man showing some interest in a younger women. And all this thirty years ago. Plus the political climate invites unwarranted charges. If the average person were this evil the world would be a better place than it is.

from which we can infer that the first story is wholly made up, because not a single other accuser is saying such things.

I am usually, usually, usually on the side of accusers, because when there's smoke there's fire most of the time with this stuff.

But this case really takes the cake. The woman wouldn't even say for sure she wasn't 19 at the time of the dinner with a bottle of wine coolers on the table. It was apparently in the time frame of her birthday.

The ultimate test for me is: how creeped would I have been about this if I was the parent. I wouldn't be thrilled about my 14 year old sneaking out of the house. Literally, the rest of the cases here I'd be fine with. With the worst possible retelling of the stories, it's essentially: the guy was trying to find a wife, and pretty respectfully considering it was the flower power era of hippies and open sexual rebellion in society.

The reason the 14 year old accusation doesn't go nearly as far as rape (they don't even fully disrobe!) is because the other stories are so... pg ... that to go full R would make it that much more unbelievable.

Its as far as they could go without jumping the shark. In some other state, 16 may have been enough. But AL has a minimum age of 16? or is it 15? Did they go just below age of consent?

But he never had sex with the girls he openly dated, so we can't have him having sex with a just-under-legal... so heavy petting that was not consensual?

I commented elsewhere how they might twist Mike Pence if he ever ran for national office... just how would they handle making someone so upstanding into a monster without losing all credibility?

"But AL has a minimum age of 16? or is it 15?"

16.

"But he never had sex with the girls he openly dated . . ."

I note, however, that there is no formal lower limit on marriage. It simply requires the permission of the parents and a judge. 16-18, parents only.

Open, formal, above board courting, while it may get rather squicky below a certain point, is fair play.

I'll note again that traditional Christian values are 12 for marriage, 14 for sex. It was only a concerted drive in by Victorian English, protestant progressive moralists which began to drive ideas about that upward. And the issue at the time wasn't sex, per se, but forced prostitution. 14 year old girls being pimped out by their parents.

We might want to keep our heads through this and remember that the issue is what behaviours earn damnation and what behaviours earn jail. Not simply what makes us feel squicky.

Because this hysterical witch hunt is designed, by the left, to bite us in the ass if we buy in to it.

Steve Sailer disagrees:

Clark’s last book, 2007’s A Farewell to Alms, updated Malthus by using troves of English wills from 1200 to 1800 to document that the English were already following Malthus’s 1798 advice to restrain their breeding—they had been delaying marriage until they could afford it. The average age of marriage for Englishwomen from 1200 to 1800 was around 25, about 7 years older than in China.

Actually, the Dems could win the mid-terms thanks to the Repukes getting ownership of the Obamacare disaster. Probably part of the GOPe game plan to remove Trump. Repukes have been running on a promise of repeal since 2010 and utterly failed even with full means to do so.

I have little doubt that there is some truth to all the Hollyweird pedo, sexual assault claims. Almost all of the major players in LA have prostituted themselves to have a chance at the golden ring. Having degraded themselves, they view everyone else as a willing participant in their own degradation. For the most part, that is true. They get ahead by “giving head”. So, when I see all these women and soyboys coming out of the woodwork to claim that so-and-so “sexually assaulted” them 10 or 20 years ago, I take it with a grain of salt. It is virtue signaling of another kind. Not that there is any virtue in coming out of the closet 20 years later. Its just “Look at me, look at me!” These people know that any publicity is good publicity and they are looking for payoffs, paid interviews, a book deal, or possibly being on Good Morning America. What is sexual assault in our current age of victimhood? Especially in light of feminists trying to portray sluts that didn’t get the result they wanted as being victims. When I read about what constitutes “sexual assault” in some of these cases, I wonder what males haven’t been guilty of something that could be claimed as “sexual assault” just trying to get into some girl’s pants. Something that normal females expect males to accomplish.

My opinion about most women is that honesty is not one of their virtues. Hell, they get up in the morning and slap paint on themselves so they don’t look like they really do. And society, females included, accepted this as truth prior to the 1960’s. When it boiled down to he said, she said, the male won, usually. “Won” because no one saw the female’s complaint as being worthy of ruining a boy’s/man’s future. Women are basically looking for financial support and sperm donors while they are in their prime. Women can’t compete with men in the skills and intellectual markets, but they are born with their very own ATM machine between their legs. Plus, contemporary society allows them to claim victim status for any outcome in life that isn’t to their satisfaction. Allowing Chad to plow her furrow in the back seat may have been disappointing and she didn’t get what she wanted. But, if she really don’t want to be drilled, if she has actually said “No!” and “Stop!”, a knee to the groin can disable a guy if it goes further than what she wanted. Be honest: What female doesn’t know what is on Johnny’s mind when he drives her out to that isolated spot? She knows exactly what situation she has put herself in. And if she does put herself in that position, it is because she believes she can control Johnny. Oops, looks like you were wrong again, Jane. If Johnny truly crossed the line with rape and or impregnation, this was taken care of by the males of Jane’s family. Even the Bible addresses statutory rape and pregnancy outside of wedlock. Johnny either marries Jane, or he is put to death.

Is this cynical? Yes. Probably no more so than what you would read on Chateau Heartiste or Return of Kings. Biological reality has its own rules, in spite of what contemporary SJW’s think about the fluidity of gender. But, this is just an escalation of feminist “feelz” that have already gotten out of hand. It is glorious to watch the libtard Hollywood crowd, the leftist journalists and high-ranking corporate SJW’s being hoisted on their own petard. Forcing them to play by their own rules rubs their own hypocrisy in their faces. Great. My concern is what legal changes will be enacted as a result of this? The enemy loves nothing more than dividing the sexes against each other. We know that the solution here is to go back to religious and societal mores that expected certain behavior from males and females, recognized the difference between males and females and held everyone to these standards. Those mores are impossible to maintain in a society that has been programmed to believe that females are just males with vaginas, there are 57 different genders, and sexual gratification is the highest good for anyone to aspire to. Here’s to the apocalypse!

*Incompetence on USS Forrestal - resulting in 134 dead sailors.
This is likely why the John McCain III never made it to Admiral. Grandfather and father were both 4-stars. The brazen incompetence (or worse) and subsequent coverup on behalf of daddy had a price back in those days. After his vacation in Hanoi, Little John had to settle for Senator in a state that (at the time) would vote for anything as long as the Repuke label was attached. The fact that he has been voted Incitatus for life in Arizona tells us something about a) the utter corruption of the Repukes there; and b) the utter morons who vote for them.

*Probable treason in Hanoi.
The "war hero" made statements for use communist radio in Cuba and elsewhere. Other POWs have made comments about the preferential treatment he received in Hanoi. Even worse, it's now fairly clear that McCain actively participated in the coverup of the Vietnamese regime's holding of American POWs for decades after the end of the war. After the prisoners were safely dead and gone, Juan the "War Hero" was in the front line to make sure there was a lucrative "free trade" deal with the very same communist regime who held him prisoner.

*Charles Keating - S & L looting.
McCain was heavily involved in a dry run of the Banksta looting episode of 2008 during the 1980s. This was the "S & L Crisis" and Charles Keating was the crook at its epicenter. None of the "Keating Five" (US Senators) ever went to prison for their role, nor did they even face serious political trouble, thanks to (((fake news))) assistance. Old Juan was the only Repuke of the five Incitatuses involved, the others being D-Jerseys, including the much lauded John Glenn of Ohio.

McCain's evil and treason is exceeded by few in history. It easily rivals that of Ted Kennedy. He's the perfect role model of Diabolical Narcissist who was a swamp creature from birth. All of the greedy, worthless welfare recipients in Sun City, AZ vote for him over and over and believe his lies without question, with spoon feeding by (((fake news))) are hardly any better. McCain and his supporters are the epitome of the Repuke party and an excellent example of why it needs to be burned to the ground and the earth salted upon which the ashes remain. The only thing they have ever conserved are the gains made by the left.

You call 12 years old for age of consent "reasonable"? Are you completely insane? A lot of children don't even hit puberty by then.

Anonymous Faceless November 10, 2017 4:13 PM

@115

Searching briefly suggests that the average is 12.1 y.o. for black girls, 12.2 y.o. for Hispanic girls, and 12.6 y.o. for white girls, with the 90% attained across the population by age 13.75 years old. One of the first page citations says that, whereas 16-17 was the common average in 1900, it has plummeted to below 13, so those numbers appear to be widely accepted. It's probably all the estrogens in the water, since the guidelines say it can start at 8 for girls now.

Anonymous Mzord1007 November 10, 2017 4:29 PM

Regardless of when puberty happens 12 is still WAY too young for age of consent. Even 16 is pushing to my book. I mean honestly faceless wouldn't you find it a little disturbing that an full-grown man wanted to date a girl that's still in 6th grade?

Blogger Feather Blade November 10, 2017 4:45 PM

Mzord1007 wrote:You call 12 years old for age of consent "reasonable"?

AFAIK, that was fairly standard back in the middle ages. Somewhere between 12 and 14 was the age at which a kid was considered competent to enter into contracts on his own recognizance. Maybe to be responsible for his own sins? Something like that.

At any rate, even if one were to be married at that age, consummation of the marriage would have been postponed until one was physically mature.

It's still done that way in some places in India - I remember watching a documentary about this family in rural India who ha two daughters (IIRC one girl was 12 and the other was 8) but would never be able to afford two weddings, so they arranged to marry their girls to a couple of neighbor boys (both of ages similar to the girls), held one wedding for both couples, and then all of the kids stayed in their parents' homes until they were old enough to set up households of their own.

The advantage of it for the families was less expense, which ensured that both girls could get married, and when the kids reached maturity they had an automatic legal and moral outlet for their sexual desires.

Anonymous Mzord1007 November 10, 2017 5:06 PM

Yes Feather Blade I'm aware that arranged child marriages were more common in Medieval Europe and are still common in Rural India, but I don't recall either of these societies being used as a moral benchmark for modern western society. Plus 12-14years old isn't considered an age to competently enter a contract in the eyes of the law nowadays. You think an average 12 year old has the mental capacity to make that kind of decision? And most of those marriages were just forced on the children by their parents for their own economic/social gain. Plus you are aware that it is legal for consenting adults to engage in sexual relations outside of marriage in the United States right?

Back in the day, people married and they married younger. I don't have the numbers, but life expectancy was lower back in the day and families where bigger. If you expected to be dead in your forties or fifties from exhaustion, then marrying in your teens makes perfect sense.

I worked for a couple who married when they where sixteen. They had robust and decent kids and grandchildren.

I was chatting with someone and I brought up the reality that almost no one "goes national" without at least some dirt to keep them in check. That's when it hit me: they don't have any actual dirt on Moore. That's why they needed to invent something and it had to be nasty.

As long as Moore stood strong in the first 48 hours, he was going to beat this, but the point of the hit has multiple layers. After winning, he'll be considered "damaged" as it is, which will limit his effectiveness. I might advise he find a way to beat Sen. McConnell with a cane on the floor of the Senate... legally. There's a tradition that deserves a return!

This was a Deep State hit, but the blowback potential on this is pretty huge. Are they really that stupid to not see how this is utterly likely to play out? Someone clearly took the risk, but it was the Left attempting to just constrain Moore from working with Trump.

If society considers a person competent to enter into a marriage contract at age 14 (with parental consent, at least in certain states in the US) or at what ever age on their own, then they are considered competent to deal with sexual intercourse, which is an intrinsic part of the marriage contract.

If they are not competent to enter into the contract, then they are not competent to deal with the ramifications of that contract, i.e. sexual intercourse.

The idea of an age of consent has always been an age of being competent to enter into contracts - to consent to contracts and all of their ramifications.

If a person is not old enough to consent to marriage, then they are not old enough to consent to sex. It is meaningless to separate the two.

Your Missing my point Feather Blade. My point is that the legal system does not consider you competent to legally enter a contract unless your are at least 18 in the United States. Your not even considered competent enough to drive a car by yourself even. Anyone who has interacted with most 12 year old children or 14 year old adults should be able to obviously see that they have not reached the mental competency needed to make that decision. So I would say that faceless's comment how 12 years old for the age of consent as being "reasonable" is an absurd statement to make. Also you say that previous social standards for marriage are not necessarily wrong. Then what evidence do you have that it was right? What evidence has their ever been to show that this practice is superior to modern western standards of marriage? I stated that the problem with child marriage at that time was that it was essentially forced on children by their parents for their own gain and not for the children's sake, For example how royalty would arrange child marriages to form political alliances or just to improve their status in the nobility. Another person mentioned how the average age of marriage for commoners in the middle ages was in the late 20s. The only reason a person would one child marriage would just be so they could marry off their children to gain something. Notice how in that example with the family in India they mainly did it just to save their family money on weddings and had almost nothing to do with their own daughters opinions on the matter? This was because peasantry didn't have the political/social pressures to force their children into marriage at such a young age. Also my comment of consenting to sex outside of marriage legally. I did not say that the age of consent for sex should be different from the age of consent for marriage. I stated how I thought 16 seemed too young for an age of consent. I just stated that it is now perfectly legal for ADULTS to consent to sex outside of marriage, which makes the need to marry young so couples have an "automatic legal outlet for their sexual desires", as one person said earlier, completely unnecessary.

My mistake. That should say "14 year old teenagers" in the comment not "14 year old adults".

Well I did read an article on this in regards to this topic:

It certainly is true that Adolescents as we regard them now got married but in the society in question no younger. And they did this under the condition of their parent's permission.

In medieval society in many cases the women had to consent to arranged marriages or it didn't happen:

You guys still haven't answered my question. Do you think the average 12-14 year old has the mental capacity to consent to a marriage?
