The Guardian whines as GamerGate continues to resonate:
That was fast. In this #MeToo moment, feminism has been coopted by both people who don’t understand it and by people who oppose it. Worse: it’s now being used against people who are feminists and allies.

The most recent example comes from Mike Cernovich, the alt-right conspiracy theorist who led the way on the Pizzagate hoax that claimed senior Democrats were involved in a child abuse ring in the basement of a Washington DC restaurant. That whole ruckus should’ve given MSNBC pause when he went after one of their regulars.

Cernovich recently orchestrated a campaign to pressure MSNBC to fire contributor Sam Seder over a joke he made in a 2009 tweet. The network did fire him – only to then rehire him after a backlash against their decision.

If you have ever been exposed to jokes before, you’d know the tweet was sarcastic. It mocked people whose defense of Roman Polanski from child rape accusations rested on the fact that he was a ‘great artist’. It was an anti-rapist rape joke, like the kind that Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Amy Schumer and even Jay Leno later told about Bill Cosby.

We’re now at the point where people are being canned for jokes, by people who don’t get the jokes, don’t get feminism, don’t get that maybe there should be some proportion in this thing, and don’t get that right-wing men with a public record of misogyny might not be your best guides through all this.

Even if Seder’s joke was bad and made in the wrong spirit (which, just to be clear, it wasn’t), if we’re going to fire everyone who has made a non-feminist remark we’re pretty much going to clear all the offices everywhere of almost every man and quite a few women.

That’s why people who’ve been thinking about gender politics and women’s rights should be in charge of this moment. We need to be led through this by people who’ve experienced harassment and denigration and discrediting. People who’ve spent years listening to others and who have been thinking about the dynamics, ethics and consequences of these things before.
Yeah, so, about that... SJWs have never been able to learn that anything that cuts their opponents can, and will, be turned around and weaponized against them.

It's like their subconscious mind is sneaking messages to them. For a small (read: exorbitant) fee I will channel this spiritual voice. For example, above, where the writer, via utter obliviousness to causality, accidentally forms a true statement.
It merely requires the outer husk of nonsense, the qliphoth if you will, to be removed by an enlightened guide such as myself.

Yep. The victims of femi-nazism should be the judges of it. I'm thinking primarily white males.

True, this completely rules out the femi-nazisim type and their allies who have shown no interest in listening to anyone beyond themselves. Not to mention claerly do not understand what the word "consequences" means beyond what they can inflict on others.

Its a classic leftist tactic of redefining terms. Notice "gender" is now defined as something other than biological sex (xy / xx)... They are very specifically defining "pizzagate" so that it can be firmly denied.

“That’s why people who’ve been thinking about gender politics and women’s rights should be in charge of this moment.”

The only problem with this is that “people who’ve been thinking about gender politics” aren’t thinking. They are performing mental masturbation. To somehow believe that gender can be a never-ending continuum of possible self-perceptions is to assign a pseudo-intellectual basis to what is a serious delusion. To think that “gender theory” is anymore than believing that Tinker Bell can come back to life by clapping is to admit you are dumber than a box of cocks. Or rocks.

“We need to be led through this by people who’ve experienced harassment and denigration and discrediting.”

Just like we need to be led in an investigation into the Mafia by the heads of the 5 Families. “Hey, Guido is a good fella. He dindu nuffin.” Or that we should take at face value all the claims about the religion of “peace” from an imam that is financed by jihadists. Can’t go wrong there, can you?

The SJW's don't care if this happens. It might even be their goal.

Blogger DonReynolds December 12, 2017 1:13 PM

For most of my lifetime, Feminism has essentially boiled down to certain women insisting on being treated the same as men. They wanted to vote. They wanted to inherit and own property. They wanted to hold public office. They wanted their own credit history. They wanted the option of terminating a pregnancy. They wanted to be paid the same as men, and serve in the military the same ways as men. Basically, Feminism was always the claim that men and women are equal AND interchangeable, and when that is not true (like firefighters and cops) the standards must be lowered so women can qualify (or they have their own women standards).

They do not like to have their own standards, since that defeats the equality argument. Just make the standards lower and give women extra points to make them competitive with men. Yes, yet another contradiction.

More recently, Feminism has given up on equality or being treated the same as men. Now we have Wonder Woman, who no longer pretends to equality. They must have special powers that make them superior and to guarantee that, their decisions cannot be questioned by loathsome men. So now we can make accusations from 40 years ago (or more), without any proof, for offenses that still are not a crime or a tort, but we cannot be challenged or questioned and we do not have to prove a damn thing. If we point our little fingers, they are guilty, and they must be crucified, even if we never had sex with them. WE know what they were thinking! THAT is reason enough for them to be tossed on the sacrificial fires for the gods of Feminism. The gods must be appeased, you know.

Don't make me get up.

What I am beginning to see in the MeToo accusations is a surprising number of those who were willing at the time, or even eager. Suddenly, we notice not only sexual harassment inflicted on the unwilling, but mixed in....we also see the ones who claimed to have been naive, stupid, foolish, too young to know better, and "I did not know".

Too much of this sounds like morning after regrets (40 years later) or they lost their beer goggles. Funny how we have yet to see any outrage from the women (and men) who eagerly and gladly traded fondling and groping, and dressed for the occasion (just in case), as a short-cut to early promotion, or an undeserved break onto the silver screen, or a wad of easy cash. These women (and men) do not seem to feel the need to come forward with own their version of how they made it big or became division manager or department head at a tender age.

The bad news may be that in their zeal to kill off all the unwanted sexual harassment, they may also close off opportunities for the willing. Instead of the reluctant feeling pressured (or chosen) they may find themselves in the position of having to beg for attention. Instead of simply waiting for the fondlers and gropers to pick up on their availability signals, they may have much more difficulty getting invited. The well-off and powerful are certainly going to respond to the awful press and summary executions being met out. It will be more difficult to get access to them in the future. Presenting behavior is not going to work anymore.

They were upset, its real, they were not lying, the perps turned around and tried to blame them for some kind of harassment, well Cerno called the law!

By the way, the ADL and SPLC lied about not only him but other fine people whom are genx and mil lens b/c the killers failed to abort everyone they didn't know won't be silenced or tormented.

MSNBC, in fact per my observations at the left wing gym (I have 3) is just watched after lunatics take their meds, sick people watch local and national tv or its for the elderly that need the time to pass or the r/ stupid, the MSM should pack it in and go home.

Recall even CNN is totally fine with their staff screaming swear bear words on live air...

I dont believe the sicko got his job back, fired once due to an appalling tweet is more damage to the ComcastNBC nation so its all good.

I just hope his family is able to pursue any and all attempts to harm them to the fullest extent of the law.

Cerno is not be toyed with, he doesn't tolerate evil.
