The wind picks up

Is there a storm on the way? The Dailywire claims that "more than a dozen" Congressmen will be resigning before the end of the year.
An investigative reporter with The Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) announced on Friday that Congress’ human resources scandal is about to break wide-open and predicted that over a dozen members of the House of Representatives will resign.

DCNF reporter Luke Rosiak tweeted on Friday: “Congress' human resources scandal is just getting started. I anticipate we will see the resignation of more than a dozen House members over harassment and secret settlements, and soon.”

Last week Rosiak broke the story that Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) had made a settlement with a former congressional aide that he fired after she reported being sexually assaulted at the business of a major campaign donor. The first congressmen to go down in the post-Weinstein era of sexual misconduct was Michigan Democrat Rep. John Conyers, who eventually resigned after accusations against him snowballed.
Mike Cernovich says the number may be as high as 50. However, based on what the chans are saying, this Congressional scandal will only be part one of three, as both Hillary and Obama are now reportedly in the investigative crosshairs. For what, I don't know exactly, but it appears to be considerably more serious than the usual "lying to the FBI" sort of thing.

You will note that we have heard virtually nothing from either of the Clinton or Obama in recent weeks. This may be why.

If Obama and Hillary had simply done what Bush had done (slink away into the night after he left office), they would probably not be in any crosshairs, regardless of how scandal-ridden both are. It's not as if Bush didn't commit actionable offenses as president (although he seems to want to join them as of late). But they're SJWs so they can't help themselves.

Still not tired. Will never get tired.

From what I'm reading at Conservative Treehouse and DystopiaUSA (he's in week nine of his storm watch), the DoJ IG report is going to be yuge. My understanding is the IG doesn't have prosecutorial power, but it has broad investigative powers (especially with a cooperative administration) and is slowly exposing unfathomable levels of corruption to the light of day, in advance of the big reveal when the report is submitted to Congress in the coming days or months.

For the last week, it's been known that there were Congressmen who were using Federal funds to pay sexual harassment settlements. With the Republicans in control, it's almost certain that they are going to name names. There's a lot of public anger about this business.

This is reminiscent of the House Banking scandal of 1993-94, where it turned out that Dems were kiting checks on the House Bank. For tens of thousands of dollars - and stiffing the taxpayers with the tab.

Because the odds are almost 100% that the culprits are disproportionately Democrats.

As for the Washington Pack O'Lies...forget Bezos. It's a Democrat Party propaganda organ. They will be desperate to minimize damage to the Dems, and cover up the degree to which they suppressed the story over the years.

Kratman has said repeatedly over the years that going after a sitting president, or a recent one, for his crimes will turn politics into a win-or-die affair, in which the incumbent HAS to destroy his rivals or be jailed after office.

But does anyone doubt the next Democrat President would go after Trump, with the goal of putting him and his family in prison, whether or not Trump does anything?

It's baked in the cake at this point. Once Marius has arrested your supporters, you can't, as Sulla, pretend it never happened. Bring on the proscriptions.

The one thing we can hope for is that Trump, or someone else we approve of, succeeds in purging his rivals, so that order is restored for a while. Remember, Rome lasted centuries after it ceased to be a Republic, and they were generally successful centuries until the end.

Most Call for Trump’s Resignation If Sex Allegations Are True

Most voters believe the accusations several women have made against President Trump and say he should resign if they are proven true. But Republicans are far less convinced.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 58% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the allegations of sexual misconduct made by several women against Trump prior to his election as president. Twenty-eight percent (28%) do not, while 14% are undecided

The real key is planning ahead. People should be using the holiday season to start building organizations, finding and getting ready to nominate candidates and move in force to fill the breach if/when this happens.

Otherwise, while the purge may happen and lots of legislators get airbrushed out of pictures, they simply get replaced by equally compliant sock puppets (look at Franken). And if *we* are not prepared, then we will get rolled over by the establishment, much like they did spending millions of dollars, creating fake scandals with forged evidence and probably lots of voter fraud to defeat Judge Moore.

So if the Progressive are doing part of the heavy lifting by purging their membership, then we can take advantage by focusing our resources on replacement.

In the early days of the God Emperor's presidency the old rules still applied, but part of those rules were that the former President and candidate opponent are not to try to set up a "shadow government" to try for a coup. Even during the later early days, there was likely some warnings to desist in such activities, but the did not stop. The rules have now changed. Both BHO and HRC will be targeted and taken out. Probably prison. May even go back to Bushes now. Arrogance has unintended consequences for these people, as there is always a first time for everything.

Besides this thing is going global and some countries will have open trials and perhaps even executions. We've already heard of some torture of the main Saudi Prince behind the Cabals. This is to sweep SA-USA-Asia-Europe. Many high up people, in many countries HATE these demonic people and their various webs, and now have a chance to break their power.

It's not the "Clintons" were president. William Jefferson Clinton was President. Hillary Rodham Clinton, her brother Rodham, her daughter Chelsea, her aide Huma Abedin: none of these people were president. He can go on living while they hang from their neck, or rot in prison for corruption.

It's not like we haven't had corruption before: the mischief for forty or fifty years after the founding of the nation? Aaron Burr and so on? Those were the founding fathers, or children of the founding fathers. They were more prestigious than anyone today.

Look, I look at our highway system with lightposts every 100 feet or so, and I remember that Romans crucified rebels and traitors along their highways, en masse, at various rebellions, and no one really cares about it now, and, most importantly:::

Regular people lived in peace and prosperity for another half millenia after each major crucifixion en masse.

I mean, I don't understand why the Midlands in England, site of so much bad governance by social workers and police, doesn't have black hand style hangings of their Moslem male populations. It's 3% of their population: they've killed off that many people before, in their towns, for various religious reasons. Why not fight back now? It's in their skill set.

I don't understand why the French aren't going St Bartholomew's on their Muslims, either. They're good at this stuff. I mean, industrial death machines? Guillotines?

Why aren't Germans poisoning their Muslim quarters. If I were to believe their press, they are geniuses at gassing people on open ground, in shower chambers, in portable tanks. They have a skill set for this, right?

The Swedes and Swiss have battlegrounds where they've got the drowned warriors of lost battles: why aren't they driving Muslim rapists literally into the sea to drown?

Greeks know pirates? Why aren't boats being sunk, sharks being fed?

"... Why aren't boats being sunk, sharks being fed?"

You won't see real violence until people start dying of starvation. That's many years away. Many years.

For example, in the 30 years before Hitler came to power, about a million Germans starved to death, most as a result of the Allied food blockade of Germany (which lasted until mid 1919), the rest during the Great Depression.

And in terms of food (calories or protein) produced per person, the world is better fed now than at any time in the past. That means there's a lot of margin before people get hungry enough to kill. It won't happen for a very long time.

Anonymous Gen. Kong December 17, 2017 1:06 PM

Because such a 'black hand' would need to kill police, social workers, and government officials, perhaps along with their families. Then they'd need to kill a sufficient number of Churchians, Chamber of Commerce types and other braying SJWs just to underscore the point to the idiocracy that everything they were taught since childhood was total bullshit and that no more would be tolerated. After this it could be open-season on the kebab and dindu - along with any mystery-meat offspring and the sluts who produced them.

The problem is, this type of thing is not in their skill set any more. Skill sets aren't inherited, they have to be taught even if the natural ability is inherited to one degree or another. The same problem can be seen in many other areas. Apprenticeship is pretty much a lost art now, for example.

Blogger DonReynolds December 17, 2017 1:07 PM

One of the class elements that we still retain from Jolly Old England in the USA is the idea that rich and poor do not face the same justice, nor are they subject to the same laws.

Poor women might get $20 or $40 for a quickie in the alley or bent over in the open car window in a parking lot. But if they can win the attention of an aging pedo in Congress or Hollywood, they might get a "settlement" worth hundreds of thousands or even millions. (No, they are not THAT pretty.) Yes, many have been accused but have any been arrested by the police or charged with a crime?

WE need to discard the very subtle distinction between sexual harassment and prostitution. If we as a society are convinced that sex in the workplace is prohibited or unfair competition, which it may be, then complaints should be lodged within 24 hours to the police. Otherwise, you need to add kidnapping to the charges or a very good excuse why it slipped your mind.

If someone commits a crime, they should receive a fair trial and the charges adjudicated. Punishment should include jail time and money fines. The accuser should not be PAID a damn cent, any more than the victim of any other crime. What they get is justice, not riches.

WE very much need to remove the pecuniary motive from this hysteria and then remove the political motive. There has always been sex relations between people but it has not always been possible to achieve great wealth by sex. No more.... paying your way out of jail. If a crime has been committed, then time in prison is warranted and richly deserved.

"You won't see real violence until people start dying of starvation. That's many years away. Many years."

I do not know who gave you such a rosey prediction but the food chain is much more vulnerable than you seem to believe.

Much of the food moves by barge, truck or rail in this country, all of which are absolutely dependent on motor fuel. I first saw it in 1973, during the first oil embargo. I was working for a Standard Oil of California truckstop on I-40. We had over 300 trucks on our lot and no motor fuel available. We did everything possible to save the refrigerated loads by scraping together a bit of fuel, but one by one, we lost those loads as the refrigeration units stopped. The railroads are more fortunate, they can operate for three days with the fuel they have on hand. After that the trains stop.

Do we need to discuss a possible disruption in the power grid? How about a prolonged drought?

No sir, we are not guaranteed cheap and reliable and safe supplies of food in this country or anywhere else. Wars and depressions, all bets are completely off.

Which direction we are going
There’s no knowing where we’re rowing

Not a speck of light is showing
So the danger must be growing
Are the fires of Hell a-glowing
Is the grisly reaper mowing

Yes, the danger must be growing
For the rowers keep on rowing
And they’re certainly not showing
Any signs that they are slowing

WRT term limits, four years in the House isn't enough. It takes about two years for a Congressman to figure out how things work. My preference would be 12 years in the House OR 12 years in the Senate, BUT no more than 16 years in Congress. Pension payable only on return to the state you claimed to represent.

But the big reform would be Real Residency...require every member of Congress to sleep in the state he claims to represent 183 nights per year.
