LAST DAY to back Will Caligan's Comic

Today is the last day of the one-week campaign for Will Caligan's Comic, which currently stands at $48k and 675 backers. Since we're within striking distance of the Book #3 stretch goal, we've decided to add new rewards of Paperback #3, Hardcover #3, and The Works #3 for those who are interested.

You will notice that there is no "this reward will not be provided if we don't hit the stretch goal". That is because Arkhaven Comics has decided that whether we hit the next two stretch goals or not, we will produce Book #3, whatever the backers decide it will be, and we will produce it in full color. In addition to the ace colorists at Arklight Studios who are contributing their considerable talents at a steep discount for the covers, we have also hired an excellent professional colorist who will color Will's interior illustrations for Books 1, 2, and 3. An example of his work is below. Imagine what this guy could do with The Feast of the Elfs or the space battles in Back from the Dead!

If you haven't backed the campaign yet, note that an Iron Star backing will now get you 18 digital comics for only $25. It would be nice for PR purposes to hit 750 backers before this is over, so please spread the word this morning.

Third hardcover backed! 1,000 sounds doable. And that color with Will's linework should be amazing.

Also, "Caligan", not "Cadigan".

I note with amusement that the illustrations in Jordan Peterson's brand new book are incorrectly credited to "Ethan Van SCRIVER".

Castalia should offer Random House a few of their volunteer proofreaders, maybe ...

Corrected, thanks. Clearly too much cyberpunk in my youth.

Normally, when you're an early backer of something, you're looking at over-promised & under-delivered. With Castalia Comics, so far the Content Per Cost metric is amazing.

In for paperback #3 as well.

This is the kind of scope creep I can get behind.

We're being very careful about that. The only thing that is really suffering from this is A Sea of Skulls, and that's really more due to my editorial responsibilities and writing the Alt-Hero scripts. You'll note that we're releasing TWO books today that are unrelated to either Kickstarter, and we'll have several more coming out in February.

Alright, I scraped together the cash for the digital-everything-package.

I intend for my great grand children to have a collection of three hardcovers which were milestones in the turning of the culture war! (To add to the Alt-Hero hardcovers.) What's that worth in SJW-free America 50 years from now?

releasing TWO books today

Totally forgot today was Right Ho release. Checked Kindle on my phone, yep, it was there. Quick glance through; very nice.

I appreciate your service, Will. And your honesty in speaking out.

Just backed.

Thanks to Vox for this and all the rest

Good Luck to all of you

@8 Steveo,

Not sure what it will be worth but I'm hoping it will be measured in SJW Tears.

Say what you want about Bezos, he understands that customer goodwill is an asset. I followed the link to purchase the book, which is to www.amazon - Bezos popped up a message to remind me that I could go to smile.amazon and credit the associated charity, by clicking here. So he paid his programmers to add a feature that will cost him real dollars. The only reason is an investment in customer goodwill. Impressive.

Amen.

In for $25. Let's hope this is culturally relevant as Alt-Hero, and that it is long-term profitable for Will and Arkhaven.

Likewise. Fortunately I received a reminder. I was waiting for it to actually come out before ordering. I've now ordered it, and it should be waiting on my Kindle Fire when I get home this evening.

The latter is the more important. We have no way of knowing in advance what will have a real influence and what won't, but if they make money we can simply keep trying and eventually we'll hit one out of he ballpark.

In for two Hard bounds will decide on the 3rd later.

Told several normies about Wright's Moth and Cobwebs series possibly being made into a great color illustrated comic, and they were "enchanted." My enthusiasm was catching. Told them that Wright is a Christian, who writes coming of age Hero novels where the child is tested while going through life. Also, said Wright had a Girl Hero for a second series.

But mainly just told them about the Boy Hero's adventure itself. Testing the market for possibility of Wright's Moth and Cobweb series being selected, and looks great.

It has topped 50k. I'm in for all 3 hardcovers. Can't wait!

Oh right.

I'll make the chorus that this colorist is a great pick to go with Will. Looking forward to their work! And very happy to hear that all three will be in color! (Well, was. It's now a moot point.)
